I wish we all had that kind of support. Most can’t afford that and we are on our own.

Hi Rebekah, thank you for sharing your healing journey! During the process of going gluten and sugar free, were you also taking any thyroid medicine? Obviously the goal of healing is to have the blood work levels normal without any medicine supplemented. Does that mean we need to risk taking no medication for 6 weeks in order to see if the life style change worked?

Why does everyone think raw is better? For someone already suffering with digestive problems that’s disastrous.

I just discovered this video. I really needed to hear this. I have been diagnosed with Hypo (not hashi) last year and I have wondered what to do to lose weight. thank you so much!! you're the best!

Kaitlyn Golke (1 year ago)
Misty Sheeley Sorry to hear that you have to deal with this too...hopefully we both can find an understanding doctor to help with symtoms and figure out how to live a happy, healthy, balanced life. Best of luck to you.

Thank you so much, Rebeka. I've been watching you and Mike for years and your videos have helped my husband and I live a healthy lifestyle. Recently because of the peer pressure, I get from well-intentioned friends and family to eat "normal", I've gone off track and now as result, I'm not feeling as well as I use to, and now I'm dealing with all these recurring health issues. Your video, this video, has now given me the courage to say no to people and no to foods that no longer serve me. I've been watching a bunch of health videos, but now it has finally clicked in my mind what I need to do.THANK YOU SO MUCH!

What's your exercise routine like?
Hello Happiness (1 year ago)
When you say Gluten, do you mean wheat and breads?
Hello Happiness (1 year ago)
Thanks for the info. :-)
Rebekah Borucki (1 year ago)
+Hello Happiness You can find wheat gluten in a lot of other foods as well, especially processed foods. And, of course, I have to avoid anything with flour, like cookies.

Hey Rebekah, thanks so much for sharing, im trying to keep off gluten, and slowly slowly getting refined sugars out too! Hope it helps the hashimotos :)

So I have been struggling with some of these health issues insomnia,  severe fatigue and before having an emergency hysterectomy also have heavy irregular periods,   I have worked out and gave up all meat but fish no dairy no gluten and have just stumbled on the idea that my health problems might be linked with my breast implants!  Here I am worried about what I eat and that it be organic all the while having toxic chemical laden breast implants poisoning my body!  Breast implant illness.  Its real even though some doctors discredit it! Getting explant surgery  in December I will see if my health improves!
Vampire Purgatori (2 months ago)
Christine Crane Hi! Did you see any changes after the surgery? How do you feel?
Andrea Melado (2 years ago)
i have the same problem except hashimoto. although instead of gaining weight i have lost. i started a vegetarian diet a while ago and i feel better but i would like to know how to make my diet more balanced. i joined your facebook challenge so i hope that gives me a few tips. thanks for sharing! is good not ti feel lonely
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
+Andrea Melado I'll see you in the group :)

awesome! i wish i could afford holistic doctors to help me... i have been dealing with hashimotos since my pregnancy and i used to be in good shape. now im fat and cant lose weight. i even tried the AIP paleo thing and saw no difference....
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
+tris chiz Try looking for a doctor who practices integrative or functional medicine. My regular old General practitioner practices functional medicine, and she's been wonderful at looking at all the systems in my body.

Thank you for the video! I just recently learned that I suffer from this as well. While I was happy to know the cause of my symptoms, I felt lost on what to do to. No one I knew had this disease or similar issues, so I felt alone and lost. After watching your videos (especially this one), it has helped me out on getting on the right track. You inspired me a few months ago to start meditating, and now have further inspired me with this. I'm still struggling on how to change my diet around and lifestyle, but I am slowly getting there. Just wanted to say thank you, and hope to see more videos/tips on how to handle this issue. : ]

me again. do you have or do you have other food reactions? i find citrus really bothers me. do you find that as you get rid of majors like dairy and gluten those other items don't bother you now?
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
I happen to have an aversion to citrus is large quantities. I also cut dairy and refined sugars from my diet.

Hi Bex, I really appreciate you sharing this! A couple of years ago I had antibodies (early stage of Hashimoto) aswell – but was able to eliminate them with diet and my alternative practitioner. You will be able too, I'm sure! : ) Please keep making videos on the topic! All the best for you!
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
Thank you for the encouragement! I'll definitely check in with updates and tips.

I was diagnosed hypothyroid following my first pregnancy 9 months ago :( I have no idea where to start, I've gained so much but I have only heard negative things about traditional thyroid meds. Do you have any suggestions on how to start the discussion with my doctor? Technically it was a "sub clinical hypothyroid" diagnosis and she said they would test again in 6 months. I just know it's gotten worse, I don't feel like myself at all.
Michele Borucki (2 years ago)
+Rebekah Borucki that would be amazing! Thank you so much :) I'll keep an eye out for it.
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
I can definitely make a video about this with Nicole Jardim... she helped me talk to my doctor.
Cécile W (2 years ago)
Hello Bex! I'm also working on healing hypothyroidia naturally since february... (have been on meds for 5 years before...) and amazingly I follow kind of the same steps...And so I feel less "alone" hearing your story! And I understand what you're going through. Here in Europe trying to heal yourself with natural means and food is not so popular at the moment! I wish you the best with your healing process and I would be happy to have some updates. I totally believe that the body can heal itself when heard and given what it needs!
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
It's not so popular here either, but I'm lucky to have a great team because I work in the industry. That's why I'm making these videos... to bring the information to everyone. There are more on the way! Thank you so much for watching :)
Janet Sullivan (2 years ago)
Thank you! I totally get it! I was just diagnosed with lupus a few months back that brought me to learn to do meditation and start looking at my health differently. I found you on you tube and learned to do meditation. Which helps a lot! Thank you and may we both find health once again.
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
Thank you for sharing your experience. xoxo

not to sound like a creeper, but i just love you. you have inspired me so much over the last 4 years. your meat free challenge last year came at the perfect time. i gave up meat for lent last year and carried on and still am vegetarian which has greatly helped my body heal from a car accident i had years ago with lasting injuries. i also exercise regularly and that is easier with the better food going in my body. i love your raw honesty with your audience. really i just wanted to say thank you for inspiring and continuing to inspire me as i try to make myself the best me possible. i wish you tons of luck and healing. xoxo Liz
Rebekah Borucki (2 years ago)
You're not a creeper at all! Thank you for partnering with me in co-inspiration <3 <3 <3
