Horrible video... too much information way too fast... can't understand any of it...
Why Me (17 hours ago)
Stupid. BMW and Audi have the most faults because they have the most technology in them and more features etc. Toyota has fuck all to fail. Just and engine and a steering wheel
Nutellaal (19 hours ago)
I've got a question? Why Skoda is on Place 3? They buy things from Volkswagen, and Volkswagen isn't reliable!

Why have bluetooth if you can get an aux chord, not only will bluetooth drain your battery faster, but it can disconnect randomly.

Volvo 240, from 1977, have not had many problems at all, only big problem was that it did not want to start during the winter, quick fix tho
Remanan Arun (3 days ago)
just that there is o android auto it doesnt mean its unreliable. i mean wth do u mean by saying that suzuki is better thatn bmw. i mean look quality wise bmw is way ahead of suzuki and stuff. seriously sayin this review is simply lies.
Zen Den (3 days ago)
Why not split the report to only consider significant faults? Two trivial faults considering the complexity of the vehicles is sort of a false flag. But it's the nasty faults that are the biting issue as they cause the grief. As are costly faults occurring after 3 years, when the nominal warranty period expires. Dependability of a car from say its 4th year to its 7th year says a lot about its integrity. Also as an example, my Audi A6 is 9 years old going to 10 next year - and has been excellent. So I am inclined to consider them favourably despite popular opinion of them being not reliable long termers.

I think Italians and British cars are unreliable.

Alexander Ivanov (12 days ago)
Stick to non german brands and you will be fine. Nobody wants to sell you a bad car. And keep in mind skoda, seat and mini are german.
Frank Maza (12 days ago)
You must take reliability ratings with a grain of salt once you understand how they are generated. Cars are ranked based on dealer service visits per X number of cars on the road. This can be for any dealer visit, not just failures. There is no distinction between the S class Mercedes owner who thinks there is a problem with their car and takes it in just to have the tech explain how to use the technology and a Toyota owner with a failed part. They are counted the same.
General Zirkobi (14 days ago)
Haha, Volvo as always the best and Audi and Audi and BMW not surprisingly scored horribly. They are horrible cars, there's no way to get around it.
Nemesis12345 (15 days ago)
German cars are shit. Expensive maintenence, constant problems with engines and electronics.
Joshua Jackson (16 days ago)
Fords look nice but are built like shit, prefer a Vauxhall anyday for the price
Vas Yan (17 days ago)
You should've added in the title that this is about UK. Because it's incorrect globally. Toyota and Lexus scores highest in dependability for years. And since when is a jaguar more dependable than a Merc or BMW? I think the Brits had one too many pints from the pub mate.
Ethie 16 (17 days ago)
Land Rover definitely is not unreliable.
Djork Solo (18 days ago)
This list just fake ! And everybody is just about defending their favorites brands. Pointless video !

Volvo is so reliable that almost went bankrupt and merged with a chinese company to stay in the bussniess. They don't have many faults, and they're the safest out there But the faults are/ were major, only time will Tell, by the way Volvo is going fully electric by 2020
Antonio Alas (21 days ago)
How the hell is honda one of the worst
Covert Person (20 days ago)
Honda is shit, their new cars are a joke just go type Honda recalls 2018 and see how many they had, especially the Honda CRV it had engine failure and tranmission failure
Enrico Costa (21 days ago)
For people who say that Peugeot is unreliable, and think that german cars are reliable

Box F1 (22 days ago)
I’m sorry but I’m a car mechanic, most of the car you say are “reliable” are not reliable at all.

"Nobody wants an unreliable car" That is unless it's an RX-7
Rob Hives (28 days ago)
Mat just re-watched this vid because it's important. Now the motoring press absolutely love BMW so this result must have hurt you lot. That said, at the 4 min Mark you say "even though it's the worst the faults aren't that bad". So what's that say for the other brands then? Are their faults worse but not as frequent?? Or do you just not want to upset Beemer.

sam van mieghem (1 month ago)
honda least relieable rofl your crazy buy any honda before 2005 and itl run forever if you take care of it theres accords with a million kilometers on them , i will admit i wouldnt buy a honda newer than 2005 - 2008
Covert Person (20 days ago)
Yeah that is why Honda reliability went down in 2018, the new Hondas have so many problems like the new accord, the CRV and its not minor issues but major like engine issues and transmission issues
gad abdat (1 month ago)
Lexus makes the most reliable cars in the world. can't wait to read on the reply section. let's see how many white folks disagree.
RoblotenHD (1 month ago)
This is fake how is honda on the worst list. My mom had a 2005 honda accord with 141k miles no problems.
RoblotenHD (20 days ago)
+Covert Person honda is reliable my mom just bought a new one. Plus honda is the best selling midsize sedan in north America.
Covert Person (20 days ago)
because its 2005, new Accords already having engine and transmission problems this video is about 2017 not 2005
Din Phu (1 month ago)
BMW 428i, most unreliable car I have owned. Vibration problem after 6 mths, even BMW couldn't fix. Car became undrivable. Got fobbed off by the dealer and BMW customer services. Complete joke.
XMG3 (1 month ago)
This survey seems rigged, Mercedes is the most unreliable brand in north america, only ahead of U.S brands. Audi was the 3rd most reliable brand. BMW finish ahead of VW, porsche, and mini. So that list is almost the opposite of this one.
Suzuki cars has worst car in world
Covert Person (10 hours ago)
+Alakdan Vs cardo dalisay Maybe but both those brands have issues, Subaru has blown head gasket issue and Toyota has airbag issues
Covert Person bulletproof ??? Really Suzuki are bullet proof I am A mechanic and you are not you are just a driver Suzuki I heard in our business will not last It will last about 2 - 3 years The durable cars in our Business is Nissan,Toyota, And subaru
Covert Person (20 days ago)

Most of the brands that topped the chart for least number of faults have much less in them as compared to a BMW / Audi or a Mercedes. If they are actually calculating the number of faults, they should also see how much tech is in the car. A Hyundai i10 probably just has as much tech that an Audi A7 / 8 packs in its rear view mirrors. Also, they haven't really defined the word "fault". Is the dysfunctional dash light a problem as big as an overheated engine or a faulty turbo charger. This test does not even justify what is right and wrong for a non enthusiast. I have been watching car wow since a while now and this probably is something not worth publishing. @Carwow, why don't you do your own reliability test , which is much more detailed, down to the most commonly used components of a vehicle and then publish something better!

Ford B-Max on the list? with their ecoboom... I mean ecoboost engines... who was this questionnaired on...
Justin Burns (2 months ago)
I call Bullshit. 1. What is considered a "fault"? Bad bluetooth connection? fucked pistons? (manufacturing mistake?) 2.Who were you guys surveying? A bunch of teen city girls? Rich people? Poor people? Mechanics and People who _know_ cars? Families? Older/ Younger people? 3. Where did you take the surveys from? An area that possibly is more biased towards one car brand because that car is used more in that state? Home states of car brands/companies? I'm just throwing some good questions out there. I'm curious as how random and diverse these votes are.

Driving around Europe, most of the cars I see broken down by the side of the road are either French or, surprisingly, German. I don't think I've ever seen a Japanese car by the side of the road.

Damn this is all bullshit, a FORD? JAGUAR? SKODA? VOLVO? wtf???
ktmad (2 months ago)
I curious whether: 1. Should regular servicing e.g. annually be considered a factor? Even where no faults are detected? 2. Won't the way users drive (long/short distances), geography (flat/hilly) and experience (new/old driver) all factor in? If the above applies then I feel the results would be a lot more useful as we gain a magnified insight into a car's reliability under a smaller timeframe and under certain conditions. Obviously, that would be a lot more complicated to survey and arguably tougher to spot patterns. But from the comments below, it's clear everyone disagrees with a lot of these results. Good luck for any shoppers out there! I must save before my next purchase...thinking a midrange VW hatchback but the reviews are so extreme I'll have to see how the new models fair with time.

i mean, kinda obvious that a car with ALOT more and higher tech such as bmw/audi, will be less reliable than a car that doesnt even have an infotainment screen.
