Singapore spruces up event area for Trump, Kim summit; vendors sell t-shirts

(9 Jun 2018) Guns at Fort Siloso on Sentosa island have been decorated with flowers as a symbolic gesture to mark the upcoming summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The two leaders will meet for the first time at the Capella Singapore hotel on June 12. Visitors were still able to visit the island on Saturday, but security was expected to be tightened on Sunday. The island is one of two locations declared as 'special event areas' from June 10 to 14 for the summit. Some enterprising Singaporeans have also come up with ways to commemorate the meeting.   Caleb Lin, the co-founder of Miniature Stories, is selling T-shirts featuring Trump and Kim taking a selfie against the city's iconic skyline.
