You should stay home and not behind a bar. Delayed, must go to a bartending school and learn from a very Bartender like Simone Caporale

It was an Old Fashioned?? Oh my God! With the sugar syrup?? WTF is this??

You guys are talking about the bartender from a top 30 bar in the whole world, maybe you should open one yourself and we can find out how far you can go

Even if the recipe is fine. (Which it definitely isn't) he made a crucial simple bartender mistake which is embarrassing af. He poured the spirit first, which is the most expensive.

He mixed the Old Fashioned in the mixing glass...

What is the purpose of holding the jigger like that ?

CONSTRUCT THE OLD FASHIONED IN THE GLASS YOU HEATHEN

why sugar and not sugar syrup in daiquiri (if he uses syrup even for old fashioned, which could be made with cube as in an old fashioned style)? If he is ok with syrup in old fashioned, what is the point of avoiding syrup in daiquiri?

Uh, no egg white or bitters in my whiskey sour please!
Jack Rota (9 months ago)
I’d say egg whites are good in sours, but no bitters

Simplicity is often the best policy to adhere to. You'd be hard pressed to have someone turn their nose up/appetite off with the most basic (and delicious) whiskey sour recipe. Fresh squeezed lemon juice, a touch of simple syrup, cracked ice, and of course some quality bourbon will always please. And yes, personal preference will always have it's place in all facets of life. The way one enjoys his/her cocktails is no different. My comment was in no way to disparage this man's abilities as he is obviously a professional. Just had some questionable ingredients in my most favorite of drinks is all.

Brad Gray That's up to you but it's such an incredibly popular way to make it that there is really no need for you to express your personal preference. I don't know how close this guy's bar is to you but I don't think to worry about him serving you. Internet though
