Scotty, I just bought a used 130k miles Galant 2010 and had my mechanic change the brakes and rotors in front. Three weeks down the line the brake line still comes occasionally! Do you think I have a serious problem?

Question though,in one video,he read the "No need to change atf" thing and said that it was a bunch of crap. In this video he read the same sticker and he says it's okay to not change the fluid. Not being rude, just confused.

I don’t have to worry about antifreeze then. I’m lucky if my car makes it 100,000 before it rusts out. I’m at 99,381 miles on my 2005 Saturn Ion and the frame is holding on by a thread. Probably unsafe to drive, but meh it’s safer than a motorcycle.

Scotty is the best! Love your videos. I do believe in following the manufacturers vehicle maintenance schedule. I track the schedules on all my vehicles with my auto maintenance software www.automotivewolf.com and check the owners manual for each vehicle to make sure the maintenance schedule for each vehicle is exactly as the manufacturer recommends. Once you have it setup you just wait for the reminders and perform the required maintenance, then its automatically rescheduled for you. makes it easy :)

PCV valve always replace it! Most people don't even know it exists. Some people think they are burning oil or have engine problems when it's probably just a bad pcv valve.

I have one question, why is there a 10W30 fully synthetic oil ? A normal oil has that temperature change characteristic. A good oil should start with 0, like 0W30 or 0W40.

Little tid bit for what I do with my personal vehicles. I get a note book write down the current date miles and repair, then write down the next service date and miles. I usually use the owner manual for service intervals. I check the note book ever 2 weeks to see if anything need done, and check them off when I do the services

I personally only use mobil 1 full synthetic in all my vehicles. It's only $25 for 5qts at Walmart. I replace every 5000miles or change at least once a year. Full synthetic is also very helpful in cold start up lubrication, if you live somewhere cold during winter like me.

Fluids in general should be replaced as needed. Power steering, coolant, differential, brake and so on. New fluids will always make parts last longer than neglected ones.
