Vitamin D is very important vitamin because calcium can not absorb from intestine in absence of Vitamin D. Vitamin D more we get from sunlight from UVB rays & less we get from food.So,it is compulsory to take sunbath. Oily fish,milk,butter,egg yolk are sources of vitamin D but it contain very less amount which is not sufficient. Deficiency of vitamin D occurs to the person who dont have exposure to sunlight due to indoor work whole day like businessman,housewife etc. Also deficiency occurs to the people who covered their body for religious purpose & the countries above 50 lattitude where little exposure of sunrays especially during october to early march. Fortunately viamin d is fat soluble vitamin so deficiency dont occur over night.It takes months till that body uses vit d from stored parts. People of north canada & USA advised to take fortified Vit D dairy products to avoid deficiency. In deficiency of vitamin D there is deficiency of calcium occurs.In defideficiency of calcium there are so many disease related to bone occurs. 1. Rickets - It occurs in children where legs bent out & development of child is very poor. 2.Osteomalacia - bone pain & muscle pain occurs in mild osteomalacia & fragility fracture occurs in severe stage. 3.Osteoporosis - due to lack of calcium bone becomes brittle & fracture occurs from normal movement.Pressure & sneezing may cause fracture. Some studies shown that cancer of skin occurs due to sun exposure.But it is subject who continous/more work in sunlight.They may use sunscreen to avoid bad effects. Conclussion is that vit d is necessary to absorb calcium.We dont get enough from food so you must take sunbath for 15 min to 30 min everyday or twice or thrice per week. vit D 25 OH is 5.51ng/ml (deficiency)but calcium is 9.61mg/dl (under reference range) Sir i am facing problem of polyuria also and taking medicine tolterodine but not getting benefit. Please recommend me ,is there any need of taking vitamin d tablets or sunbathing is sufficient??

Dear Doctor sahab, nice information in simple way! I am living out of india. I had gum swelling problem 1 month before. The dentist told me various treatment saying your tooth nerve is dead or crack in the fillings or there may be inflammation by bacteria. I did not get dental treatment. After that I started taking sunbath and taking vitamin D properly and used ayurvedic dentistry suggestions. Now the swelling gone down. I think calcium and minerals were not absorbed due to lack of vitamin D as you told. I had less chance to expose to sunlight. I heard that vitamin K-2 and D-3 are very important for teeth. I have following questions for you. Please kindly give us information. 1) Can vitamin D deficiency create gum and teeth problem? 2) There are various types of vitamin D(D1, D2, D3). Whether only vitamin D1 is enough? What about D2 and D3. What is rich source of vitamin D3 for vegetarians because D3 is available in only non-vegetarian food.

+Noreen Khan Sir, Sunbath at noon time atleast 15 min everyday with supplement medicines as suggested by specialist will reverse the symptoms. If baby is still feeding her mother also should take sunbath at noon time for 15 min & should take care in diet(fruits/pulses/veg.) - should take milk in diet If more suggestion I come to know I will further inform you.

If there is deficiency you should take & you can take it But without knowing deficiency its waste of money As well no supplement give you life time validity its only temporary help You should focus on balance diet as well take sunbath for vit D

Sir, Agar aapko deficiency he to lab reports kk mutabit doctor aapko uski medicines/injections treatment suggest karenge. For that you have to consult physician. I suggest you to take sunbath in morning to noon for 15 min everyday & to take cow meal anytime in a day.

sir I started sunbathing 1 hour before 11 morning frount and back both side I also drink lots of water and vegetable smoothly but I don't have inaf urine and after this sunbath my stool colour is black I also feel soft stomach is there any problems

Whatever you are doing drinking more water,taking veg & sunbath is good for health. For black stool,kindly consult your family doctor. Black stool also caused by treatment which increase haemoglobin.If you are not taking haemetinic than consult dr for that.

Sir, Take treatment according your specialist but here I am explaining this condition. Osteomalacia means inadequate phosphate,calcium or vit d. 1) VIT D aap mostly sun exposure se milta he.Further iski process liver & kidney me hoti he.Tab jake vit d active hota he aur calcium absorb hota he. 2) CALCIUM aapki diet me ho fir bhi vit d nahi milega to calcium deficiency ho jati he. 3) aapke reports me calcium level normal hi he because mineralisation ki process me bone se calcium blood me aata rehta he aur vahi process me alkaline phosphate high ho jata he. A) serum 25(OH) D check karne se aapka vit D ka level pata chalega. B) with expert advise do reports & take treatment completely.

osteomalacia se muscle weakness bhi hoti hai..?? actually mera vitamin d3 7ng/ml tha aur meri legs muscles mein bahut weakness aa gayi hai, i am unable to climb stairs easily n get up from a low chair is a big task for me... sir ye osteomalacia ke symptoms kab tak theek hote hai hain jaise muscle weakness..?? mujhe ek mahina ho gaya hai supplements lete hue.. ab mera vitamin d hai 50ng/ml... par muscle weakness mein abhi bhi koi farak nahi pada hai.. kindly help plz. I m 26 years old male.

Sir, 1) calcium level low or high both are problematic. So,unnecessary medicines is not advisable. 2) Even after taking calcium diet u may not get it if you not take sunbath because main source of vit d is sun rays.From food you get very less amount of vit d. 3) Mostly advisable to take at night after meal with distance from other medication to allow more absorption.

prabir ghosh 1) You should once check by physician wether it is gynaecomastia or fat deposit. 2) Gynaecomastia occurs due to hormonal imbalance.Estrogen level rises & testosterone level falls.So,you have to lab test for hormones to find out cause. 3) In initial period medicines effective to reduce the size.
