I love walking too! I go for walks at least every 2-3 days (sometimes more often if I have the time). I also walk after a heavy meal if I had one. I never keep note of the distance though, I simply walk till I feel better ✨

Walking will improve every area of your life physically and mentally. I see so many overweight people that just refuse to moved and I know no matter what age, young, old, just refuse to moved. People will drive around a parking lot for ten minutes just to not walked two hundred feet and if u have health issue where u can't that is different but most of the time u see people get out of their car and all u can think is DAM...your that lazy...

Stopped the video at 0:15 to make this comment... I'm not overweight!! I'm fit! Long story short: on 12/04/2018, I overate, and could not "go". I was fuc-luck-ing miserable! Immediate cramps kicked in The constipation made me so light-headed, I nearly called an ambulance. Had my BF thinking it was food poisoning, or something. After 2 full cups of Milk of Magnesia (4 TBSP) (1 a day apart), I got no results. On the 6th, I was about to call an ambulance, until I decided to try... Walking. Not caring if I"went" whilst during, I had to push through (I prayed I wouldn't). I could hear the beast growling after 15mins of walking. Miraculously, "it" didn't make a cameo in my Valley of the Shadow of furry. I made it home, safe and sound, and my toilet hated me in less than a minute! My advice: WALK! For your curiosity... It was Taco Bell and KFC that did me in.

To get to school, I walk. Occasionally, my dad would drive me to school. But for four years, I've walked up a big hill just to get to school. I lost 30kg btw!

There've been a transport problem in my country so i've been forced to walk to school which is almost 3 miles away for the past 3 weeks. In the beginning i thought of it as a punishment and used to complain a lot. With time i've come to appreciate the benefits a lot. Right now i'm so flexible and my body is more symmetrical now

Certainly! Walking 30 minutes a day in the morning keeps my head clean. When I don't walk, I feel low & depressed. Walking 🚶 is extremely important.

I walk every day 45 mins along with my wife...it gives me energy to work at office for 8 hours.... Believe me it works wonderfully. At the same time it's not easy to get up early in the morning.....but you can do it come on you can do it

Good morning. I just restarted walking today after 3 weeks since I had pain in my knee joints only to find out I have elevated uric acid. Although I observed that the pain in the feet comes when I am standing and when I just stood up from sitting. When am walking, I don't feel the pain. I walked 20 minutes this morning. I pushed myself to walk 10000 steps at least 5 days a week. I have lost 20kg in 5 months and feel better and think sharper. I walk outdoors, this is another point - to get fresh air and freshness of nature. Walking does not put so much strain on your joints, ligaments and muscles as jogging so there is less risk to injure yourself when you are just starting to get fit. Making calls and talking to your friends and family while walking is also combinable however I tend to listen to upbeat music that defines my pace. 10000 steps is approximately 1hr10min, everyone can find that time during the day. I take a small 300ml water bottle, phone with pedometer app, earphones with mic and good set of music. Take it, walk outside now! :-) This is easier then to do full fitness, and it is free. I found it much easier to start and maintain. Keep walking! :-)

Since I lost my license I walk every where. I must say that Google Fit is an awesome way to keep track of your steps. It will let you know if you are just walking or brisk walking. I must say that It motivates me to keep walking.

i took a job working in a hospital kitchen a lot of walking involved lost 7 pounds in about 8 weeks my hip hurt a lot much better now and on a follow up eye exam i did better after 8 weeks

On medical advise, I began brisk walking for 45 minutes every day and believe me, my blood sugar levels which were hitherto 126 (fasting) and 242 (post lunch) came down to 97 and 114 respectively in just three weeks. I kept up with the same routine and managed to keep my blood sugar within normal limits without medication for over a decade.

I prefer walking instead of taking my car to my job 1.5 miles away. So I have my every day walking routine. A tip is to walk walk when you are doing your own routine tasks, so you just do it without thinking as an extra duty.

I was in an abusive marriage for 25 years, I am 55 years old. The last years in the marriage were horrible. I filed for divorce a year and a half ago. I haven't been able to finalize the divorce, he is a horrible man. While I was married I was suffering from a lot of stomach issues, headaches insomnia and my bones were hurting. I began walking my dogs for 15 minutes everyday a year and half ago. I am up to walking 60 minutes everyday. I have lost 25 pounds and people tell me I look ten years younger. Mentally I am stronger now, no more depression. Walking has literally saved my life and my sanity. You just have to make walking a habit a part of what you do everyday. I am a school teacher and as tired as I get from work, I get home and head out to walk my dogs. I have completed my first walkathon. It's never too late to start taking care of yourself. I ma very glad I started walking.

I try to walk about 7 miles a day, 16,100 steps total, I have a pedometer. I've lost over 50 pounds over the last 3 years and is helps my back pain. I also have made friends on my many walks in the neighborhood. I started with shorter walks a few years ago and now I can walk about 40 minutes at a time. Walking is great!

I am 69 years old and have been a Type 1 diabetic for 55 years. I walk at least 10K steps/day (5 miles), using a Fitbit One to record my daily achievement. I LOVE walking! I change venues when I can, doing some hikes in wildland areas. What I notice is that when I am not able to get these steps in, I develop some of the issues described like depression, back pain, etc. I appreciated the tips at the end regarding keeping your elbows bent and the like.
