GOING OFF THE PILL - My Experience

1553 ratings | 62070 views
Hi babes, I wanted to share my experience of going off the pill since I know a lot of you have asked me about it and considered it yet don't know where or how to start. Clue has helped me tremendously in tracking my cycles and knowing when my periods due: http://bit.ly/lcclueapp Overall I couldn't be happier with my choice and I encourage everyone to do their own research and choose what's best for you. :) I also take Maca supplements daily, a wonder root from mother earth that helps regulate feminine hormones, AKA breakout stopper! I went on the pill for acne and while it really did help bandaid my symptoms, there was still an underlying issue inside. Doctors were so quick to hand it out and it seemed to be a one stop shop for fixing my skin. It made me gain weight and I found myself being extremely moody, depressed, and suicidal because I was not dealing with the actual root cause of my imbalanced emotions. I felt almost like a robotic sex doll if that makes sense haha. Looked perfect and plump but was not in touch with myself at all. It’s been a few months and my skin has been raging but I’ve never felt more free and light emotionally. Once my skin calms down I think I’ll fully be able to say that I’ve never been happier in my natural self and I’m so glad doing the work to get to know me.

I had really bad acne before I started taking the pills but I’m really afraid of the acne coming back. I have been on the pill for less than a year so I don’t know how my skin will react

Thank you, Sweetheart, you have just helped me sooooo much. have to quit the pill after about 14 years. I am 35 and I got on the pill because I married my high school sweetheart and I got advice to go on the pill, but ever since I have been on it, I have been sicker than I used to before my period and my cramps and pms are so much worse..and even though they keep changing my brand of pill, I am still getting worse and worse side effects. I actually got pregnant with my son 10 years ago because they switched my brand and told me my body should only take 7 days to get used to my new pill, but I was so sick and nauseous that I called the doctor and he told me just keep taking it, but I just couldn't. When my doctor told me the date I got pregnant I realized it was when I was on the new brand pill, which was a generic brand of my old one, and so I technically got pregnant on my new pill, after a doctor told me I only needed seven days to adjust to my new generic one. My normal doctor took care of me all through my pregnancy, and he said that usually women should use a back up method for a whole month, not just seven days no matter what just to be safe. The doctor that I had who prescribed me the generic pill was out of state because my husband was in the navy, but anyway, no matter what pill I have changed to I have been getting more and more sick, and I actually got pregnant once listening to a doctor's advice. I am actually finding myself going through pre menapause symptoms which would not surprise me, but I wonder if the pill might be causing some of these symptoms. I have heard and read that if you had dysfunctional periods and bad pms that the pill helps, but if you don't have any natural problems before the pill, you tend to go back to normal off the pill. So anyway, that is my long story. I do not want to get pregnant again...I love babies and would love to have another one, but we cannot afford another baby and I really don't wanna start all over again at 35, and so I remember using condoms and spermicide after my son was born but I don't remember how long I was using those methods before I was back on the pill, and I have been looking up articles on these methods and seeing that they work just as well as the pill as long as used correctly, however, I am still a nervous wreck. I hope that I am being responsible while taking better care of myself. I was just wondering if you have any other information for me, or even any other advice. This was so informative, that I wanna hear more from you. Please email me at jmfuate@hotmail.com if you can. If not that is ok, no pressure, but anyway, thank you so much for this information.

As a pharmacy tech i can tell you drugs (hormones) are derivatives of plants and herbs. Plants/herbs have just a significant risk factor that people don't realize. For example, ginger and garlic can be extremely dangerous and you should still consult with a physician or pharmacist about taking them. Although I do agree that you should avoid use of drugs in general, they are still derived from plants...
Sonia Baker (1 year ago)
Thank you for this video! I've been on the pill for six years now and I'm going to stop it in October. I'm super nervous about it but I know I absolutely have to do it for my health. Did you follow any type of diet to regulate your hormones? Any tips for dealing with the post acne?
Coco Lili (1 year ago)
I cut out dairy which helps a lot with acne. :)

Jesus, I had the exact same experience with my period and cramps! The pill was a lifesaver. Unfortunately it throws my whole body and mind off balance and it even gives me anxiety. 5 years after I decided that I would have to endure a few days of really bad pain just to feel natural and in tune with my body again :( plus Clue is the best! I've never related to a video before! Love this xx

I'm 38 and quit the pill in 2016.  I was worried though about how painful my natural periods would be but I don't get hardly any pain and my cycle became regular five weeks after quitting.
Sabrina Bondi (1 year ago)
I went on the pill because I am sexually active but I also could not handle the pains. I would throw up and have terrible pain that I couldn't even attend school. Now that I've been on it for around 2 years, I've gained 15 pounds and I'm so unhappy with it. I've been trying to lose the weight but I'm finding it extremely difficult so I've been considering going off of the pill. But since I am still sexually active I worry a lot about that haha any advice ladies?

How do you practice birth control since then? I know it´s a private theme but I would love to see a video about that.🙊Been off the pill and felt great but started again, when I was in a Relationship. I would love to stop taking it again but I don´t know if I could arrange myself with using condoms in a long therm relationship :/

I've been on the pill for about a year and before that I would faint, throw up and have really bad menstrual cramps. I also use it for birth control, but I am so scared of getting blood clots or altering my hormones😔 on the other side I'm really scared to go off the pill because I don't know if the cramps will be as bad as before or even worse!! do you still have severe cramps?? I hope you can understand what I said, english isn't mu first language❤

Snezana Krdzic when you stop taking the pill, you stop having a period until your body naturally starts again. It often takes 3 months to a year

I had really bad cramps but I realised it was because I was anemic. Now, when I take care of what I eat its all fine. Also I was never on pill and I agree that doctors, expecially in Europe are giving medications very easy. Love you!!

Wow I've had the same exact experience! I got off the pill in September and every month is something new. I've started having super pronounced and painful ovulations, but zero pain from period cramps. Go figure. lol. Also my libido came back full force, I was on the pill for 10 years as well. Thanks for sharing, love your channel.

I went on the pill for the EXACT same reason. I would have to miss school and work. I went on it when I was 19. I went off the pill 2 years ago, but was only off of it for 1 year. For various reasons. I am now off it again because I am hoping to get pregnant. I am dreading my cramps return. I know they will. I have a YouTube beauty channel, if you would like to check it out! Leave me a comment on one of my videos if you do stop by. Even just a simple "hi." 🙂❤

Great video :) I went off the pill in April 2015 and I literally went through hell, I had crazy acne, I gained weight, I lost my period, I was depressed.. It took me almost two years until I healed myself.. It's horrible what the pill can do to your body :( x

I want to get off the pill as well. I got off of it for awhile but my skin went CRAZY! I quickly got back on the pill because of my skin. I'm really thinking about getting back off it because I'm getting older and I just don't want to put it in my body anymore.. it honestly makes me so emotional sometimes... so! We'll see! By the way, du schaust wunderschön aus! 👌🏽💕

How to prevent pregnancy without being on birth control? I don't & will not take bc for many reasons to many side effects & risks for me. I have one child & that's all I'll ever have. I'm always curious to how some women go over 30 years without getting pregnant when they've been in relationships & haven't been abstinent. ( I know of course use condoms but their not 100% effective )
Bridgette Sorrells (1 year ago)

Thank you for recommending the App Clue, I have been using it the past months and it's really good! :) And I was glad to hear that we have the same opinion about doctors, looking back it's really unprofessionell how they prescribe medication to young girls without pointing out alternatives! Love you! :*

I have _horrible_ pms too, very similar like you described..I can’t even explain how much pain I get, like honestly I get into this mood where I just lay somewhere in agony and feel kind of lost. I have a bad habit to take couple of painkillers and then I literally sleep all day and feel exhausted the following days. I'm glad you told some alternatives for painkillers ’cause I really want to live without any artificial medicine. 😉

Thank you for this video! I share the same experience: for me the worst of getting off the pill was also desling with the acne. However l found 2 natural things that helped a lot: primerose oil and echinacea!

I wanted to ask you where you bought your red top/dress please ☺️ so beautiful ! In looking for something red to wear for Valentine's Day :) ! Thank you really much in advance 💜 Bisous de Suisse 😘

Natascha N. (1 year ago)
This was really interesting! I did the same in May 2016 because my mood was changing so fast, I was so emotional on the pill and I had the same opinion as you. I thought it is just crazy to take a pill everyday and keep shoving hormones into the body. I just wanted to have a normal menstruation cycle again because I was also taking the pill for 10 years. My skin is still pretty bad, I feel like a teenager :-/ And I'm 27. But I feel better without it now. my mood is way better. The pain is a little worse than before but not so bad that I have to stay in bed all day. I'm just happy that I don't have all the side effects anymore :) And the app is really helpful!

I lost 5 lbs going off the pill in a week and my boobs got smaller too. Skin is bad now too but I'm glad I stopped it. I was scared of the blood clots too and decided it was for the best. Got to be more careful about having a baby now but it's all good.

You have an amazing body and I get that you are very proud of it and want to flaunt it.. but lately I've been noticing that your outfits often look... let's say, they are very revealing... which is often not very classy.. in one video you wore this beige turtleneck with matching jewellery.. stunning you looked so elegant and sophisticated! But this red top here looks like you're wearing underwear..  please don't exaggerate your sexappeal... you risk looking cheap and that's not what I wish for you.. because I like you and wish you the best.. also for your career..
