Doxycycline Treats Bacterial Infections and Prevents Malaria Infections - Overview

01:01
http://www.rxwiki.com/doxycycline https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXxn_pCvHVm6GkANUnZbJL2TC86w19KA8 Doxycycline is a prescription medication used to treat certain bacterial infections and to prevent malaria infections. Doxycycline is in a class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria and the parasite that causes malaria. This medication comes in tablet, capsule, and oral suspension forms, and is typically taken once or twice a day. The tablets and capsules should be taken with a glass of water, with or without food. However, taking doxycycline with milk or food may decrease the amount of medication absorbed from your stomach. Doxycycline also comes as a gel to be administered by a dentist in a clinic setting. This medication is also available in an injectable form to be given by a healthcare professional. Common side effects include nausea, sunlight sensitivity, and rash.

How To: Dosing Two Part in Your Reef Tank

14:20
http://brs.li/2partdosing So why do they call it two part when there are really three parts? Why can't I mix everything and add it to my tank? These questions and more will be answered in this episode of BRStv. Maintaining calcium and alkalinity in your saltwater aquarium is essential to the health and growth of your corals. Corals use these elements to produce their skeletal structure and once they consume it, you will need to replenish it. Also, all the creatures in your reef tank require stable alkalinity and pH to thrive. Two part dosing is a great way to achieve this consistency. Mixing the solutions is easy. Bulk Reef Supply has a 2 Part Calcium & Alkalinity total package with includes the dry materials as well as the jugs to do the mixing and storage. Follow the instructions in the video and always make sure the solutions are completely dissolved before starting your dosing regimen. Note: Never mix the calcium and alkalinity to dose one solution. As soon as you mix them, the would instantly precipitate out and the solution would be useless. Most reefers keep the calcium of the tank around 420 ppm, alkalinity between 7-10 dKH and Magnesium at 1350 ppm. First determine the levels of your tank. Using the BRS Reef Calculator you can easily get directions on the proper dosage to increase your levels. Once your levels reach the desire amount, it is then essential to maintain those levels and that is where daily dosing comes in. You'll need to determine the amount your tank is consuming. First start by determining the volume of your tank and sump and whether your tank is high, medium or low demand. We recommend starting with a lower dose, testing and then raising the dose if necessary. It is always easier to add more than take away. Test and adjust, test and adjust, until you find the proper levels have stabled. Once you figure out the amount to add, always add it to a high flow area of the tank. Make this part of your daily schedule like feeding - do it all at once. So the final step in all of this is Magnesium. Magnesium is not consumed at the same rapid rate as calcium and alkalinity. Magnesium is important because it is the presence of magnesium that allows us to maintain high levels of calcium and alkalinity in the first place. So after you have dosed all calcium and alkalinity solutions (1 gallon of each), it is time to dose 20 ounces or 2 1/2 cups of the magnesium solution. Again, do this in a high flow area of the tank or in smaller amounts over time (but this isn't necessary). You won't need to dose magnesium again until after you dose another full gallon of calcium and full gallon of alkalinity. Making this process easier on yourself can be done by automating it with dosing pumps - one pump for each solution (calcium and alkalinity). Add an inexpensive outlet timer or control the function through an Apex or ReefKeeper. Bubble Magus, Vertex and Fauna Marin make dosers which can be programmed to your specific needs. Are you dosing two part in your reef tank? What is your set up for two part dosing? Thanks for watching BRStv.

How to give your cat liquid medication - without traumatizing you and the cat

04:32
http://www.planeteinstein.com This video is about administering liquid medicine to your pet cat. Vivian Borders, Owner of Derby City Critter Sitters, will show you how to approach your cat, how to hold them firmly (without hurting them) and prepare to give the medication quickly. You can avoid traumatizing the cat and more importantly, avoid getting scratched or bitten by following Vivian's instructions. The method is quite simple and actually works. You'll see that Vinny (the cat) takes the medication very easily and is not the least bit upset by the process. You can do this, too if you follow step by step what Vivian suggests. #planeteinsteintv

MeTro Gel Presentation (Bio 33)

05:01
SLIDE 1 MeTro Gel, An alternative to Sutures. The reason I chose this topic is because I volunteer at an emergency room and I have seen many doctors suture patients. I wanted to research a better alternative. SLIDE 2 Suturing, also known as stitching, is a medical procedure used to close open-wounds. Sutures vary in needle length, and width as well as the thread type and size. SLIDE 3 Staples work similarly where the material anchors on to either sides of the damaged tissue. SLIDE 4 Most sutures and staples result in a scar with additional marks commonly called railroad tracks or hash marks found on the dermis. SLIDE 5 Other medical techniques try to prevent additional scarring such as Steri-Strips, also known as butterfly stitches. This technique uses adhesive instead of puncturing the tissue to anchor and close the open-wound. The ZipLine device on the right works in a similar way in which it closes the wound by snapping the connecting middle bridge together. SLIDE 6 Other methods use liquid glue such as Dermabond. This product comes in a pen-shaped container where you squeeze the middle section to break the glass that contains the Dermabond liquid which hardens with air. This product is mainly used for on-the-surface cuts since it only stays on for a few days. For deeper cuts, a suture is still needed. SLIDE 7 This latest medical product is called MeTro gel. A team of scientists led by Nasim Annabi, Ali Khademhosseini and Anthony Weiss in Australia researched elastin proteins naturally produced in the human body. Eventually they synthesized human tropoelastin using methacrylate and UV light to create the elastic hydrogel, MeTro. They crosslinked different tropoelastin proteins in a solution to create various elasticity levels for the different types of tissue. SLIDE 8 MeTro Gel was designed to effectively assist in the natural wound healing process. In the inflammatory and the proliferative stages, the body sends granulation tissues to degrade the clot, provide strength and structure with collagen, while a new network of capillaries form to reconstruct new tissues. As these granulation tissues surround the bleed, they contract the tissues to decrease the size of the wound. MeTro assists in this crucial process to quickly stop the bleeding. SLIDE 9 When applied, MeTro seals in seconds. It fills in the gaps and adapts to the tissue. Once the gel is applied, it is treated with UV light. When the MeTro Gel is treated, it still retains its highly elastic property which makes it most suitable for pulmonary and cardiac punctures. SLIDE 10 This is a histological staining with the MeTro gel applied on lung tissue. Since it is synthesized from proteins naturally produced in the body, the gel seals more effectively than methods mentioned previously. SLIDE 11 It eliminates the need for sutures or staples and simplifies the procedure because it is minimally invasive. In this example, pulmonary tissues constantly move to supply the body with oxygen. Having a pulmonary puncture sealed with stitches does not completely seal the puncture; in fact, it may add additional punctures using stitches. Also, the thread material is not the same elasticity which can cause tissue tears while the pulmonary tissues expand during inhalation. It is also highly invasive because doctors need to access the internal wound by opening the outer site of entry. With MeTro, the pulmonary puncture will be completely sealed allowing the injured to breathe. Pulmonary expansion upon inhalation will continue because it retains the lung’s natural elasticity. SLIDE 12 MeTro promotes healing, repairing tissue in half the time since surgeons do not have to open the external site of entry to reach the internal wound. This scanning electron micrograph shows how MeTro gel interlocks with the tissue surface. The researchers’ study observed that torn mouse tissue treated with the biocompatible MeTro gel caused the tissue to heal similarly and without any signs of toxicity after the MeTro gel degrades. SLIDE 13 The creators of MeTro gel are ready to begin testing on people and hope to eventually save lives using MeTro in clinics.

C Diff Symptoms -- 6 Early Signs you Shouldn't Ignore!

06:10
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free video guide to shopping for dietary supplements. I'm going to share with you the major C diff symptoms, how someone gets this health problem as well as some interesting ideas on treating it. As you can probably tell C diff is short for something, and that is clostridium difficile. Sounds like a magic spell. In a nutshell it's a bacterial infection in the digestive system that causes all kinds of problems. Unfortunately every year this bacteria gets more people sick and kills more people. These bacteria create little spores that are survival machines almost like roaches. The spores of C diff can survive for years traveling in the air and on surfaces, and They can be inhaled or ingested accidentally. This is why many people actually have these bacteria in their system right now. The reason not everyone gets sick is because good bacteria are keeping them in check. Here comes antiobiotics, which are supposed to be helpful and do help with certain things but they kill off the good bacteria. The C Diff bacteria can they grow unchecked and bring about as much harm as an unruly mob. One of the most common symptoms of C diff is watery diarrhea a few times a day. Interestingly enough if you just look at your stools it can tell you a lot about your health. Stools should gently slide in the toilet making a tiny splash like an Olympic diver. Stools that are white, yellow, grey or bloody are all bad signs. Lastly floaters, ones that splash majorly, watery stools and of course ones that are painful are all bad signs. I bet you never thought you would be learning about stools today right? Another very common sign of a C diff infection is abdominal pain. Some other signals could be a fever, loss of an appetite, blood or pus in stools, nausea and someone losing weight abnormally. The very sad thing with this disease is that many people might brush these symptoms off as being normal or nothing serious. This isn't the right move because in some cases C diff can bring about damage in the digestive tract that can be fatal. Besides putting holes in your digestive tubes C diff can lead to kidney failure, which can also be fatal. I understand doctors can be expensive and sometimes it's not worth it to see one. My thoughts on when to see a doctor are determined by your inner voice, which is usually very wise. Unless you're around beautiful women then sometimes it gets stupid, at least sometimes mine does. If you think for a second something is seriously wrong then it's best to see a doctor right away, and not second guess yourself. The best thing someone can do to avoid C diff is to wash their hands. Sounds silly and common sense, but sometimes the most effective things are the simplest right? Antibiotics, which should only be taken if you absolutely have to. Try to chew your food a lot before you eat it, this helps release digestible enzymes. The next thing you can do is take prebiotics. No this stuff is not in yogurt, that is called probiotics and there is a big difference. Prebiotics are found in nature while probiotics are man-made and are usually found in yogurt. Companies that sale yogurt want you to believe that probiotics are the greatest thing since sliced bread. They do add some good bacteria, but they can be killed easily, and don't do a lot to help. Prebiotics help good bacteria by enabling them to reproduce a lot, and this is way more helpful. The easiest way to get prebiotics would be by taking a dietary supplement, or you can get it by eating 1,000 kiwis a day. Ok, maybe the stuff in supplements isn't 1,000 kiwis, but it's a lot. Before you go out and buy a bunch of prebiotic supplements, I want to warn you of something. There are a lot of crappy dietary supplements on the marketplace. The reason for this is because in many countries the laws that regulate the industry are about as loose as MC Hammer's pants To make things easier for you I've created a free video guide on shopping for dietary supplements. It talks about how to identify a good product from a risky one, and much more like herbal remedies and what to take for certain conditions. I think you're really going to like it and you don't have much to lose by checking it out, since it's free. You can view this guide at http://texasvitamins.com/go/youtube.html.

Here are a few tricks to help the medicine go down! Step 1: Make dog sit Make your dog sit. Tip Never call a dog to you in order to give her medicine. You don't want her to associate being called with being dosed! Always seek her out yourself. Step 2: Pry open mouth Use one hand to pry your dog's mouth open. With your other hand, pop the pill way back into her mouth. Make sure the pill goes behind the back of her tongue. Tip A second person to help may come in handy if your dog is especially large or wriggly. Step 3: Hold mouth closed With one hand, hold the dog's mouth closed, snout pointing up, while gently rubbing her throat with your other hand. Step 4: Wait for swallow Once the dog swallows and licks her lips, you can be sure that the pill is safely down. Tip Stay nearby until you know the pill's been swallowed. Plenty of dogs are adept at concealing their meds and spitting them out later. Step 5: Check with vet If you're having difficulty, check with your vet to see if it's safe to give your dog a pill concealed in food and, if so, try hiding the medicine in something soft like cheese, cream cheese, or peanut butter. Let the dog lick your fingers after you feed her the pill—that will ensure she swallows. Tip Be sure to tell your vet what food you might try—some foods interact badly with certain medications. Step 6: Crush pill If your dog doesn't fall for the pill-in-the-food trick, crush the pill, mix it with a little sugar water, and use a baby syringe to squirt the liquid into the dog's mouth. Step 7: Try pill gun Still not working? Try a pill gun (available from your vet or local pet store) to propel the pill down the dog's throat. Step 8: Give a treat When the pill is all gone, praise your dog, pat her, and give her a nice treat to take away the taste! Did You Know? Blowing on a dog's nose will encourage it to swallow.

Bacterial Vaginosis No More Review || BV No More System By Jennifer O'Brien

Get Bacterial Vaginosis No More Book: http://tinyurl.com/y75mra26 Bacterial Vaginosis No More Review || BV No More Book By Jennie Obrien Bacterial vaginosis is a clinical term to describe an overabundance of bacteria in a woman’s vagina. It’s an incredibly common condition, which is often characterized by vaginal discharge and a very distinct odor. This is not a sexually transmitted disease, but you do need to treat it carefully. At this time, there’s no clear reason medically why it happens, but Bacterial Vaginosis No More is available to try and eliminate it all together. Bacterial Vaginosis No More claims to be able to rid your body of the scent, itching, and discharge associated with condition within about three days. This timeframe is about half of the duration that it usually takes for the condition to be treated with prescription medication. The natural remedy is said to completely eliminate bacterial vaginosis within about two months, which corrects the “root cause,” even though modern science claims to have no idea how it occurs. The only suggestion in any medical research is that the bacterial infection can worsen with increased washing. The guide states that there are five different steps you need to take to eliminate this condition from your life. Since most medical journals and research suggests that the onset is unpredictable, the company warns that the industry does not want this remedy on the market. With the success rate the website claims, the pharmaceutical industry stands to lose a lot of money that consumers generally spend on prescriptions. However, before you trust this remedy, you should understand the way it works. The entire basis for the Bacterial Vaginosis No More remedy is that you don’t have to take any medications or supplements. Everything centers around a holistic approach, even though any doctor would prescribe metronidazole tablets or a topical treatment. The only real information you will find on the website is that you have five steps to take, and none of them involve the typical methods. With this program, you are instructed to find the true cause of the bacterial vaginosis, treat it, and then you will be able to live without this infection. Unfortunately, since medical studies show that the onset is fairly erratic, that might be difficult. The makers of this guide promise to show you how to identify this impossible condition’s root cause though. Get Bacterial Vaginosis No More Book: http://tinyurl.com/y75mra26

Treating fish with parasitic worms, fish stopped eating and has stringy white pooh.

03:41
Fish that stop eating and begin emitting translucent or stringy white faeces can be infected with various parasites. In this video we show you how we diagnose and treat a flowerhorn cichlid fish infected with parasitic worms. Infected fish may show clinical signs of chronic weight loss, potbelly, “poor doers”, gut inflammation, mucoid white faeces, and inappetance. It is a zoonotic disease (i.e. humans can potentially catch it!). In humans, the clinical symptoms include diarrhoea, abdominal pain, weight loss, dehydration. Capillariasis may be fatal if treatment is not given early. Your tank may become infected if fed tubifex worms, or by introducing infected fish. It has a direct life cycle, and can reinfect the same fish, or other fish in the tank, building up in numbers. How To Effectively Treat A SIBO Infection

26:31
Learn how to treat SIBO infection once and for all. Sibo treatment protocol that works! There is a contradiction when it comes to treating SIBO with conventional drugs because often clinicians prescribe antibiotics which are renown as being at least one possible cause of the illness in the first place. Often these drugs are also known for not providing permanent resolution of the bacterial overgrowth and in some cases they are actually understood to make the problem worse. This is because it has now been proven that bacteria are not always the free-floating organisms they were once believed to be, but often they are found to live in communities called biofilms. These biofilms not only resist attack from synthetic chemicals, but they are also able to strengthen their reserves against them and so can contribute to building up resistance toward certain drugs. In nature there are numerous phytochemicals which are also accepted to have properties similar to antibiotics. Yet, unlike the synthetic versions, the good news is that biofilms have less resistance to these natural substances and neither do they build up a defensive response. This gives these herbal treatments at least two advantages over synthetic antibiotics. In an increasing number of studies it has now been shown that natural antibiotics are actually more effective than synthetic versions of the same drugs when it comes to not only treating SIBO but also in ensuring it is treated effectively. This has led many clinicians to look into treating the condition not with prescription drugs such as Rifaximin, but with natural herbal products. The two most effective are these are currently accepted as being garlic and oregano. When both are used in conjunction with dietary changes, such as restricting sugar in the diet and cutting back on alcohol and processed foods, then patients often find that their SIBO infection can not only be eliminated, but also that it does not recur. It also has to be noted that whenever your are using treatments to eliminate gut microflora, whether you are using synthetics or natural substances, then you should also replace the beneficial bacteria. This means taking a good quality probiotic daily during the course of your treatment. Treatments for rosacea

04:11
Medicine by Alexandros G. Sfakianakis,Anapafseos 5 Agios Nikolaos 72100 Crete Greece,00306932607174,00302841026182,alsfakia@gmail.com Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews: Plain Language Summaries [Internet]. Treatments for rosacea Which treatments are effective for rosacea? Background Rosacea is a common skin condition causing flushing, redness, red pimples and pustules on the face, and should not be confused with acne. Dilated blood vessels may appear near the surface of the skin (telangiectasia). It can also cause inflammation of the eyes or eyelids, or both (ocular rosacea). Some people can develop a thickening of the skin, especially of the nose (rhinophyma). Although the cause of rosacea remains unclear, a wide variety of treatments are available for this persistent (chronic) and recurring and often distressing disease. These include medications applied directly to the skin (topical), oral medications and light‐based therapies. We wanted to discover how people assessed their treatments: if the treatments changed their quality of life, if they saw changes in their condition and if there were side effects. From the doctors, we wanted to discover whether treatments changed the severity of rosacea, as well as how long it took before symptoms reduced and reappeared. Study characteristics We reviewed 106 studies (up to July 2014) which included 13,631 people with moderate to severe rosacea. Most were between 40 and 50 years old, with more than twice as many women as men. Most studies lasted between eight to 12 weeks, with the longest lasting 40 weeks. The majority of people in these studies suffered from two rosacea subtypes, the subtype with pimples and pustules, or the subtype that causes flushing and persistent redness. Of the 106 studies, 66 reported that they received funding, mainly by pharmaceutical companies. We were confident funding did not affect the results in 56 of these studies but had concerns about the remaining 10. Key results Most of the treatments appeared to be effective in treating rosacea. Almost half of the studies reported how people assessed their treatments. Only 11 assessed changes to quality of life. Almost all studies reported side effects, although this information was often limited. Studies mostly evaluated changes in the number of pimples and pustules, and redness. Only five studies included ocular rosacea. None included the rare variant called 'granulomatous rosacea'. Topical treatments Two separate treatments, metronidazole and azelaic acid, were effective and safe in reducing rosacea symptoms. Improvements tended to appear after three to six weeks. With metronidazole, very few people experienced mild itching, skin irritation and dry skin. For some, azelaic acid caused mild burning, stinging or irritation. More research is needed to conclude which of these two treatments is best. Ivermectin, a new treatment, was more effective than placebo and slightly more effective than metronidazole. Another newly registered treatment called brimonidine, especially for reducing redness, was shown to work up to 12 hours after being applied. Oral treatments Antibiotics such as tetracycline, a low dose of doxycycline or a low dose of minocycline reduced the number of pimples and pustules. Low dose doxycycline (40 mg) was likely as effective as 100 mg, but with much fewer side effects of diarrhoea and nausea. Azithromycin may be as effective as 100 mg doxycycline, but only one study addressed this treatment and better quality studies are needed to confirm this. A low dose of isotretinoin (0.3 mg/kg), a vitamin A‐related drug, appeared to be slightly more effective than 50‐100 mg doxycycline for treating pimples and pustules. However, extra precautions need to be taken regarding contraception in women of childbearing age as this drug is known to cause malformations in the foetus. Light‐based therapies Laser therapy and intense pulsed light therapy were both effective for the treatment of telangiectasia, but the studies examining these treatments only reported limited data. Rosacea of the eyes or eyelids, or both (ocular rosacea) Better quality studies are required on ocular rosacea, though ciclosporin 0.05% ophthalmic emulsion appeared to be more effective than artificial tears. Quality of the evidence We rated the quality of the evidence for several outcomes as very low to high. There was high quality evidence for azelaic acid, topical ivermectin, brimonidine, doxycycline and isotretinoin. The lower quality evidence for other treatments was mostly because there were few people in the studies, making the results less precise, and the lack of blinding (people knew which treatments they were receiving). Abstract Background: Rosacea is a common chronic skin condition affecting the face, characterised by flushing, redness, pimples, pustules and dilated blood ves
Stomach bacteria: Titanium micromotors deliver antibiotic without proton pump inhibitors - TomoNews

01:25
SAN DIEGO — Researchers at the University of California San Diego have developed micromotors loaded with antibiotics that can treat stomach infections without the use of proton pump inhibitors, a substance used to suppress gastric acid production. Drugs used to treat bacterial infections and other diseases in the stomach are normally taken with proton pump inhibitors. However, the substance can cause adverse side effects such as diarrhea and fatigue or even depression when taken over longer period of in high doses. "It's a one-step treatment with these micromotors, combining acid neutralization with therapeutic action," said Berta Esteban-Fernández de Ávila, a postdoctoral scholar at UC San Diego and a co-first author of the study. According to the study, each micromotor has a magnesium core coated with a layer of titanium dioxide, antibiotic and an outer layer of chitosan, which is a polymer that enables the motors to stick to the stomach wall. The size of each micromotor is about half the width of human hair. Once inside the stomach, the magnesium core reacts with gastric acid which generates a stream of hydrogen microbubbles. The microbubbles propel the vehicles inside the stomach, as well as temporarily increase the pH level to a desired level to release the cargo of antibiotics. The micromotors can be dissolved by gastric acid without leaving harmful residues. The study was published in the journal Nature Communications. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. 5 Effective Home Remedies for Gum Disease

03:48
Gum disease, also known as gingivitis, is a common condition characterized by symptoms like persistent bad breath, red or swollen gums, bleeding gums, receding gums and loose teeth. If not treated, it can advance to periodontitis and lead to further complications. The primary cause of gum disease is poor oral hygiene, resulting in plaque buildup along and under the gum line. Plaque builds up when bacteria attach to the tooth and gum margins. Factors like smoking, hormonal changes, genetic predisposition, poor nutrition, stress, certain medications, diabetes and other illnesses also contribute to the problem. Here are a few effective home remedies that can be used to alleviate symptoms, treat gum disease and prevent further complications. 1. Hydrogen Peroxide Hydrogen peroxide works as a strong antibacterial agent that kills germs and fights gum disease. Plus, it helps whiten and brighten your pearly whites. Make sure you use the 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution that typically comes in brown bottles, rather than the highly concentrated version. Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water. Rinse your mouth with the solution for a few seconds, and then spit it out. Use it a few times a week until you are satisfied with the results. Do not use hydrogen peroxide too often; once a day is sufficient. 2. Aloe Vera Due to its anti-inflammatory and healing properties, aloe vera has been found to be beneficial in dealing with gum disease. Being an antimicrobial, it also kills the bacteria that cause gum disease. Massage your gums with fresh aloe vera gel, leave it on for at least half an hour and then rinse it off. Repeat several times a day. Alternatively, swish some aloe vera juice around in your mouth a few times. 3. Oil Pulling Oil pulling is a traditional Ayurvedic technique that is excellent for oral care. It helps strengthen the teeth and gums, reduces plaque, and relieves bad breath. Swish one tablespoon of coconut oil around in your mouth and through your teeth. Do this for about 15 minutes or until it becomes thinner and turns milky. Do not gargle or swallow the oil. Spit it out and rinse your mouth with water. Repeat the process daily for about a month. 4. Tea Tree Oil The anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil help soothe irritated and inflamed gums. Simply put a few drops of tea tree oil on your toothpaste or buy toothpaste with tea tree oil in it for brushing your teeth two times a day. Do not swallow the oil. 5. Coconut Oil The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of coconut oil help in the natural treatment of gum disease. Combining it with baking soda will help neutralize the acids in your mouth, too. Mix two tablespoons each of coconut oil and baking soda. Use this in place of your toothpaste once or twice a week on a regular basis. In addition to these remedies, make sure to maintain adequate oral hygiene, including daily brushing, flossing and using a mouth rinse to reduce plaque buildup on your teeth. Plus, get regular dental check-ups. Is There A Natural Cure for Bacterial Vaginosis?

01:13
http://www.yourbvcuredin3days.com Is There a Natural Cure for Bacterial Vaginosis? Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is the single most common cause of vaginal infection in the developed world. Most sexually active women are likely to experience a mild case in their lifetime at least once. It is caused by a bacterial imbalance in the vaginal tract, not to be confused with a yeast infection, which is caused by the introduction of bacteria foreign to the area. Symptoms include greyish discharge with an unpleasant smell, itching, and tingling. About half of women affected, though, will have no obvious symptoms -- you could be affected by BV without even knowing it, and this can be especially dangerous if you use an IUD, are pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant in the near future. It's common, and it's nothing to be ashamed of, but it's also not something you really want to rush off to the doctor to treat, is it? There's nothing worse than having cold fingers and instruments poking and prodding at your most intimate places. The antibiotic used to treat bacterial vaginosis normally -- metronidazole -- commonly causes stomach upset and nausea, and there are less common but more severe side effects to be wary of as well -- including a relatively high rate of severe allergy. This is one case in which the doctor-prescribed cure is almost as bad as the problem itself. So what do you do instead? Well, why not try a natural cure first? Well tested and proven effective in many cases, the natural cure for bacterial vaginosis is much safer, more comfortable, and easier than seeing a doctor; there's no prescription required, so no embarrassing medical checkups with a flashlight being shown up your nether regions, and no-one else ever has to know you had it. What could possibly be better? Well, maybe if the cure was chocolate flavoured, but you can't have everything, right?

My fish won't eat | Fish has no interest eating | sunken belly | Bloated belly | CLOUT STEPS

05:26
**While this bloat treatment has proven successful for many aquarists, there are other treatment options available as referenced within the updated Malawi Bloat article in the Library.** After nearly a decade in the hobby, I have seen my fair share of fish get lost to bloat. There are a pile of remedies but I found that at best these gave the fish a 50/50 shot. With some trial and error I came up with the following method that has worked 100% of the time with no apparent negative side affects on breeding, health, etc. == IMPORTANT == (1) DO NOT FEED ANYTHING during this process. (2) Start this procedure as soon as the fish shows symptoms (spitting familiar food, not eating, long stingy clear or white feces, gasping, hiding during feeding, bloated or emaciated belly, etc.) NOTE: If your fish is bloated but is still eating chances are it does NOT have bloat. A bloated belly is typically the LAST symptom you will see in a fish that has bloat. Medication required: Clout (Aquarium Products) Day 1: Move fish to quarantine tank and treat with Clout at full strength (1 tablet / 10 gallons--remove carbon from filter) Day 2: No water change. Treat again with Clout at half strength. Day 3: Do nothing Day 4: Do an 80% water change and treat with Clout at full strength Day 5: Do nothing **Day 6--?: Return fish to main tank only after symptoms have subsided and the fish has been healthy: (eating, swimming, breathing normally) for at least a week. Resist the urge to try feeding the fish until after the treatment is over and do not cut the treatment short regardless of whether the fish looks better or not. If at any time during the treatment your fish seems to be experiencing stress as a result of the medication then do an immediate 75% water change. Bloat should also not be occurring regularly with your existing fish. If it is you should consult some of the excellent articles on the internet regarding diet, water quality etc. For myself, bloat has primarily been a problem with new arrivals up to 6 weeks after their arrival. NOTE: All fish that have been exposed to bloat should be treated regardless of whether or not they are showing symptoms. Seemingly healthy but bloat-exposed fish can be treated with Clout or fed metronidazole soaked food. If you choose to use Clout on the still healthy fish then you don't necessarily need to quarantine the sick fish. Hope this helps save some fish. Questions & Answers 198 Welcome Message 06:45 -- Questions from Gabe -- My urine is only dark with strands after I eat a meal of junk food. About half a day on grapes, my urine is a lot lighter and no sediment or strands. What does this mean? It almost feels like my Kidney's are having selective filtering. Shouldn't I be seeing sediment in my urine with grapes as well? Does this indicate Kidney and Adrenal weakness? 14:45 -- DebraBurson -- Something about you, Dr. Morse, feels like home. Thanks for all you do and what you offer for free on YouTube- We are brilliantly blessed. 17:04 -- Ezekiel David -- I broke my arm in a bike accident and I have steel in my body that connects the arm. Are you saying I should have it removed? 18:58 -- Fred -- Does having teeth transplanted cause any long-term health issues? It's called Achromatopsia and my cones cells are present, but don't work. Can I do this fasting/detoxing diet and still have the gene therapy? I've also read that meditation/OBE's/Energy work can heal and improve DNA. Could Dr. Morse also talk about the Etheric body and Cosmic Energy? What a nightmare. 43:20 -- Sara -- Two years ago I went to the ER because I had extreme fatigue, and psychiatric issues (anxiety, panic attacks). They took my blood, and stated that I'm hypothyroid. They prescribed me Levothyroxin .088. I have been on that dose for two years. I have been eating raw, clean, for eight months, lost twenty pounds, and it wouldn't go any further. I have attempted to back off the Levothyroxin, and a lot bloat, water retention, goes within two days. After two days, my head starts getting weird. I start having anxiety, tightness around the bowel/ribcage area, like I'm in a vice so I go back to my regular dose. I sweat profusely at work and feel like I'm on fire. Parasites coming out in my stool. 49:08 -- Salova -- Boyfriend has severe joint inflammation issues and no medication seems to ever work on him. Acne rosacea - Medical Definition

01:37
https://word2speech.com/medical/ Acne rosacea Acne rosacea: A chronic skin disease that causes persistent redness over the areas of the face and nose that normally blush: mainly the forehead, the chin, and the lower half of the nose. The tiny blood vessels in these areas enlarge (dilate) and become more visible through the skin, appearing like tiny red lines (telangiectasias). Pimples that look like teenage acne can occur. Rosacea occurs most often between the ages of 30 and 60, especially in people with fair skin. It affects both sexes. Although it tends to occur more in women than in men, it is often worse in men. In most people the symptoms come and go, although it tends to worsen with time. Rosacea can be treated but not cured. Topical antibiotics such as metronidazole, and oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, are often used. Short-term topical cortisone (steroid) preparations of the right strength may also be used to reduce local inflammation. Avoiding smoking, food and drink that cause flushing (such as spicy food, hot beverages, and alcoholic drinks), and other triggers such as temperature extremes helps to minimize symptoms.
