Hank begins teaching you about your endocrine system by explaining how it uses glands to produce hormones. These hormones are either amino-acid based and water soluble, or steroidal and lipid-soluble, and may target many types of cells or just turn on specific ones. He will also touch on hormone cascades, and how the HPA axis effects your stress response. Female Sex Hormones

02:54
Hormones are like micro SD cards—small yet powerful. They are tiny chemical messengers that are secreted into the blood by organs called glands. They are important for maintaining the internal environment of the body—as well as interpersonal communications and for many even a marriage can be destroyed over hormonal imbalance. The sex hormones are responsible for a lot more than just determining someone’s sex at birth. They are also responsible for maintaining and regulating the sexual cycle, onset of puberty and secondary sexual characteristics, moods, general health and even immunity. Types Of Female Hormones Estrogen and progesterone are two of the most important female hormones, but they are far from being the only ones working in sync to maintain a woman. Apart from them, there are other female hormones as well, which are working to regulate and balance the sexual cycle. These include: –Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH): released from the hypothalamus, its function is to stimulate the production of the following hormones from the pituitary. -LH (Luteinizing hormone) -FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) –Inhibin –Activin –Follistatin –Testosterone Puberty And The Menstrual Cycle The onset of sexual maturation and transformation of a child into an adult, is called puberty. There are a lot of changes in the body including its shape and size, as well as attainment of fertility. The onset of puberty varies in boys and girls, averaging the age of 13 and 11 years, respectively. Usually, girls attain every stage of puberty before boys. While inception of puberty is dependent most certainly on hormones, its onset varies among girls and can only be partly explained by racial, genetic and environmental differences. Hormonal And Physical Changes At Puberty Puberty is determined by the hormonal changes and the physical changes in the body. This occurs systematically and one step leads to another. Hormonal changes at puberty: The part of the brain, called pituitary, can release the brakes on gonad-stimulating hormones (FSH and LH) any time. This means that puberty onset is held in check by the Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus. Physical Changes At Puberty: -Breast development -Hair development -Onset of menstruation -Growth support -Weight gain -Fat distribution -Development of sexual organs -Acne -Being a teenager Menstrual Cycle: Start of the ‘period’ or menstrual cycle is the most prominent sign of puberty in girls. The mechanism of puberty initiation is poorly understood, but clearly, genetic, environmental and physical factors (such as body fat) have an important role. Nutrition is another factor whose role has been underplayed when it comes to sexual maturation; under-nourished children have delayed sexual maturation and late onset of puberty. Furthermore, anorexia is associated with amenorrhea (absence of menstruation) and a decrease in the levels of gonadotropins. Female Hormone Imbalance - Hormonal Causes, Symptoms & Natural Treatment for Women

03:23
http://getleantoday.com - Dr. Raj Banerjee shares details about the causes of female hormone imbalance. The major reason why these cosmic cycles become disrupted is due to stress. The daily living pattern is disrupted, that influences the monthly rhythm. There are three major types of stress: emotional stress, dietary stress and the stress of pain and hidden inflammation, which are the 3 major triggers. Now when cortisol levels go up. it is important to realize that cortisol is responsible of three things: blood sugar control, fat burning metabolism, and also an anti-inflammatory hormone, which helps to control pain and inflammation. And it’s a mood stabilizer. It helps us keep happy and have a stable mood. So anything that is going to affect your cortisol is going to get you to store fat, put on weight, its going to cause you to get depressed and have a low mood. And its going to cause you to have difficulties in controlling pain and inflammation. And can lead to chronic pain and inflammation. And when the adrenal glands are burned out, or used up, or exhausted we become very fatigued. That could lead to chronic fatigue symptoms. So anyone that has any level of chronic fatigue or excessive fatigue by definition has adrenal exhaustion going on. Anyone that has any level of chronic pain or inflammation in their body is going through a lot of stress in their cortisol. And anyone that is overweight is going to have a problem with there cortisol levels. So stabilizing cortisol and DHEA levels helps people burn body fat, reduces pain and inflammation and improves mood and energy levels. Dr Raj wants you to know ovarian hormones and female hormones do not spontaneously malfunction by themselves. They are responding to stress as a stress hormone called cortisol. Every molecule of cortisol that you produce comes from progesterone. When you under stress guess what happens? Your cortisol goes up and your progesterone drops. Dr Raj can test your cortisol and fix it. He can test your female hormones and fix your whole hormonal system at the same time and eliminate all your symptoms. This will help eliminate depression and fatigue, night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings and it will improve your metabolism so you will able to start losing weight effectively. 10 Early Warning Signs Your Estrogen Levels Are Too High & How To Fix It

04:56
Nothing helps the body work like it should than when its hormones are perfectly balanced. The key to making sure that women’s bodies are hormonally balanced is making sure that their estrogen levels are where they need to be. Estrogen also plays an important role regulating the menstrual cycle. Bloating and a decreased sex drive are just two indicators of estrogen dominance—what takes place when your estrogen level gets and stays too high. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of too much estrogen can help you know to make sure your hormones stay regulated. Weight loss, high blood pressure, diabetes, and pregnancy are some of culprits of estrogen dominance. Let’s take a closer look at these and more. Here are 10 signs that you have estrogen dominance: 1. Weight Gain Putting on more than a few extra pounds can be an indication of too much estrogen. It causes bloating and makes it even harder to lose the weight. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, your estrogen can’t suffer rapid changes. 2. Heavy Menstruation When your estrogen levels rise, it can have the unwanted side effect of giving you a heavier period than normal. So, if that happens, you might want to consider having your estrogen level checked. 3. Decreased Sex Drive When you just don’t want intimacy with your significant other, it could mean a significantly increased amount of estrogen. High amounts of estrogen point to a lowered sex drive; however, you don’t want your estrogen to fall too low. It can also affect your desire for sex. 4. Irregular Period As we’ve already seen, your hormones and your period are closely related. When your estrogen fluctuates more than it should, the time between your period becomes unpredictable also. 5. Swollen Breasts When your hormone levels change, your breasts can become overly sensitive. So, when your breasts get tender to the touch, it might mean that you’ve got too much estrogen. 6. Changes in Mood Estrogen can affect your mental health. Too much of the female hormone has been attributed to panic and anxiety attacks as well as depression. 7. Frequent Headaches Have you recently experienced migraine headaches? Have you begun to get headaches more than normal? These issues could be cause by estrogen dominance. 8. Hair Loss When your body produces too much estrogen, your hair begins to thin. As it thins, it begins to fall out. Balancing your estrogen levels can take care of this irritating problem. 9. Insomnia When you’re having trouble sleeping, the cause could be too much estrogen. Our bodies know when there are problems and often times has problems adjusting. Sleep loss can be a reflection of that. 10. Cold Extremities Estrogen levels can affect circulation too. If your hormone levels are abnormal it could be the reason you're having a hard time keeping your hands and feet warm. Balance Your Hormone Levels with These 5 Foods 1. Rosemary Rosemary doesn’t just add flavor to your favorite recipes. It can also improve memory function, boost your metabolism, and contribute to a properly functioning thyroid. Best of all, rosemary is one of the foods responsible for producing estrogen. 2. Cruciferous Vegetables I3C, or indole-3-carbinol as this nutrient is properly known, is found in cruciferous vegetables like spinach, bok choy, kale, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli. These all have the important job of ridding the body of excess estrogen because the I3C converts into a substance that helps the liver flush the body when it has too much estrogen. 3. Flaxseed Another food that assists in getting rid of excess estrogen is flaxseed. The lignans and phytoestrogens present in these tiny seeds help regulate estrogen in the body by controlling how much of the hormone is able to bind to estrogen receptors. 4. Isoflavones Found in several herbs such as Trifolium pratense, Puerari montana, and Pueraria lobata, isoflavones have antioxidant properties that boost low estrogen levels. These herbs can be found in certain teas and are a great way to balance estrogen levels. 5. Activated Folic Acid You often hear about the importance of folic acid in women’s health. That’s because it’s present in the same leafy green vegetables that are high in I3C. It’s able to change estrogen into a form that actually lowers the risk of some forms of cancer. Do Progesterone Creams Balance Female Hormone Imbalance?

View other Female Hormone Imbalance videos in this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeYxl92LAUH_G2hZxEqn4aYTdRIw_W3c7 View other educational “Female Hormone Imbalance”, “Fat Loss & Weight Loss” & “Thyroid Dysfunction & Metabolism” videos on our channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWG9qe_cQyYPG3phmYLMHCQ Dr. Raj Banerjee shares details about the impact of alternative medical approaches on female hormone imbalance. Alternative medical approaches uses plant based or phyto-hormones to balance out the system. And the science behind this all revolves around salivary tests. We can measure your hormone levels by looking at the saliva. The saliva is what is called a ‘dialisade’ of the blood. Meaning that certain molecules diffuse equally between the saliva and the blood and fortunately progesterone and estrogen are in that category. The ideal ratio of progesterone to estrogen is about a 22:1. Most women are way out of balance, having low progesterone. Many women are self-prescribing and taking progesterone in the form of creams. After reviewing thousands of lab tests I can tell you this strategy frequently backfires, in some women progesterone levels from the creams can build up so high that the progesterone starts to convert into estrogen and creates the very problem the woman was trying to avoid. So you can induce an estrogen-related problem, and potentially estrogen-related cancers, by taking too much progesterone. The most difficult patients I have ever worked with are women who have been on progesterone cream for too long. It’s even harder to manage than women who are on excessive estrogen. Another treatment I’ve seen in the alternative medical community to treat menopause is the use of soy products. Soy has natural phytoestrogens in it that can help but if you’re intolerant or allergic to soy then it will cause digestive or bloating symptoms that will outweigh the benefits. Progesterone can be a good treatment providing it is combined with sufficient testing, with adequate follow-up. Instead of relying on remedies that seem to alleviate symptoms not curing the underlying issues. I can only show you all the amazing benefits you will get from this video. Thank you again. . What is subliminal message? A subliminal message is a signal or a message designed to pass below the normal limits of human perception. Simply put, anything that sends you a message without your knowledge are usually picked up by your subconscious mind; Thus, called subliminal messages. Listen to this subliminal audio at least an hour a day or more. The more you listen, the faster the results, so I suggest that you use this on loop while sleeping or doing some light activities. You can do other things such as studying, doing household chores, eating and other light things besides riding vehicles and doing heavy machinery. HEADPHONES,HEADSET, EARPHONES are required for faster results and for the message to sink in properly. And also because I use both silent subliminals and frequencies. Also drink a lot of water while you are listening at my subliminals. When will I see results? Results vary from person to person and because of that, results will be achieved within weeks or months depending on how much time you listen per day, your body size, the changes that needs to be altered and the way you perceive subliminal audios. If your that skeptical or a hardcore pessimist, then it is possible that you will get gradual results and worse!. . . . not see any results at all . . .so be sure or at least try to be open minded about this field, be accepting, be patient, be positive for a week or so and you’ll get all the amazing benefits! DISCLAIMER: this subliminal audio is not substitute for medical treatments I do not own the picture, music and effects from this video but the subliminal affirmations and audios are all made by me.

06:26
For more info: https://draxe.com/5-high-estrogen-foods-avoid/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Sept-2014&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=estrogen-foods In this video, I’m going to walk you through the five top foods to avoid that are highest in estrogen. High estrogen foods can be really harmful to your health by destroying your hormone balance. A lot of these foods with too much estrogen today can lead to health issues like hypothyroidism, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, and ovarian cancer. So, eliminate the following foods from your diet, and add more fruits and vegetables to naturally decrease estrogen in your body. Foods to avoid: 1.) Soy 2.) Sugar 3.) Conventional meat 4.) Conventional dairy 5.) BPA plastic and Teflon Pans If you want to start detoxing your body of estrogen, consume more cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, collard greens, and brussels sprouts. Female Hormone Balance And Women's Healthy Hormones Balancing Hormones In Women

03:35
Female Hormone Balance And Women's Health are delicate matters. How important is a healthy hormone balance? Can the hormones that keep us healthy and happy be the same hormones that cause emotional and physical distress? Our hormones are the most delicately balanced system of our bodies. Women with a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy long, healthy and productive lives. Hormones coordinate the continuous biochemical activity that occurs in all of our cells in our body and brain. There are many different types of hormones in our body. Female Hormones, which originate in various glands throughout the female body, are found in the blood, where they circulate to continually bathe our tissues. Women's Health can sometimes be affected by many things. One such thing to affect a woman is Estrogen. Estrogens are some of the most powerful hormones in the human body. In their early 30s, most women begin to experience declining levels of estrogens and progesterone. With this decline, there is also a drop in fertility. In their early 40s, most women begin the climacteric, which is a period of more rapidly declining hormone levels leading up to menopause. The symptoms during this period become quite obvious. Ideally, in a woman's menstrual cycle, estrogen and progesterone levels should rise from the time of ovulation until just before menstruation. If the levels of progesterone are inadequate, then only estrogen rises during this time, causing many symptoms, such as low blood sugar levels, salt and fluid retention, blood clotting, fibroid and tumor development, increased cholesterol and triglyceride levels, allergic reactions, reduced oxygen levels in the cells, the retention of copper and loss of zinc. Low levels of progesterone also cause interference with thyroid hormone function, which may lead to weight gain and feelings of exhaustion. Testosterone also plays an important role in a woman's normal physiology. Women produce a small amount of testosterone, which is critical to the healthy functioning of most of the tissues in the body. It is responsible for a sense of well-being, sexual libido, and vital energy. Postmenopausal women commonly experience a decrease in the amount of testosterone in their body, which results in symptoms of decreased sense of well-being, a loss of vital energy, and reduced sexual libido. How To Test Estrogen Levels

When there is a good reason to test for estrogen, it is also best to know how to test estrogen levels effectively. In most countries, testing for estrogen levels can only be done in medical laboratories licensed to perform this and other tests. The analysis of results is printed out and diagnosis is done by the patient's doctor. In the US and other developed countries, a more convenient option is available: that is, home testing using a sample collection kit. Waysandhow.

Female Sex Hormones

Running free style here! Sorry for bumbling a bit. Here are the three types of oestrogen in your body: Oestradiol ( E2) – Checked through Medicare blood testing Estrone (E1) - not checked through Medicare Favourable oestrogen – Estriol (E3) - not checked through Medicare E1 and E3 are not tested in a blood tests, only E2 Oestradiol, therefore it is an incomplete picture as to why you may be suffering from elevated oestrogen levels. You can see a functional or natural therapist who works with hormonal balancing and test the levels of all of your oestrogen levels via a saliva test. This unfortunately is not covered by Medicare. High E2 and E1 levels in the body are associated with the risk of female cancers. E3 is thought to be cancer protective and a favourable ratio of this form of oestrogen is typically found in: Pregnant and breast feeding women A normal BMI Those who remain hydrated and exercise Those who eat lots of green leafy vegetables, low meat and processed food and low sugar diet Those with a healthy liver and have low intake of drugs, pharmaceuticals, chemical exposure or caffeine and or alcohol abuse Those who are not exposed to excess xeno- oestrogenic chemicals or plastics, found in take away food containers, nail polish, beauty and hygiene products, chemical cleaning agents, agricultural sprays and other xeno-oestrogenic products and chemicals Two compounds called Indol-3-carbinol and Calcium D glucarate can be used to metabolise excess oestrogen. St.Marys thistle, B vitamins, magnesium, zinc, iodine, broccoli sprout, green tea extract and the amino acids found in bone broth are all beneficial for reducing toxic estrogen. Clearing the gut of a bacterial imbalance (dysbiosis) is also extremely important when treating this condition. Making sure your moving your bowel every day, eating less processed foods, gluten and sugar containing foods, less caffeine and alcohol are also of prime importance as mentioned in the video and above. Regulating your blood glucose is vital to regulate sex hormones in your body, if your fasting blood glucose is high on pathology then you must seek assistance with a health therapist in lowering this naturally with diet, exercise and with the use of mineral and herbal therapies. Excess copper in the blood can bind to oestrogen and cause excess oestrogen. PMS and headaches, anxiety, heavy painful periods are all common with high copper. If you live near agricultural land where copper and sulphite spraying occurs or you work with this metal you can request your G.P to test for serum copper levels. Serum copper and zinc should be the same level as each other between 15-18 n/molL from a functional medical perspective. Test for both these metals and make sure they are around the same level to treat hormonal imbalance. Peri-menopausal women tend to have higher oestrone to progesterone levels. This is because higher levels of progesterone is released after ovulation, so if ovulation is erratic or stops then this can cause a higher ratio of oestrogen to progesterone. This can be a common culprit for mood swings, tender breasts, hot flushing, headaches and weight gain during perimenopause and menopause. Lastly high cortisol, your stress hormone, can be a cause of elevated oestrogen. Deal with your stress. Acupuncture, talk therapy, yoga, other forms of regular (and not intense) exercise, mindfulness meditation and getting yourself to bed before 11pm are all useful strategies to lower cortisol when combating a stressful lifestyle. A poor psychological outlook on life must change, are you your own worst enemy? If you found this information useful or interesting feel free to share it. Be good to yourself. ♂ 4 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Your Testosterone Levels, Naturally

07:32
My favorite, clinically proven formula for naturally increasing your testosterone and sex drive: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/MoreTestosterone Or you can look at this complete A to Z video about testosterone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wAaxL3UMuY #testosterone, #erectiledysfunction =============================================== 4 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Your Testosterone Levels, Naturally =============================================== Healthy testosterone levels is important for optimal health, bone density, positive mood, sex drive, maximum muscle and strength, and also disease and cancer prevention for BOTH sexes. The good news is that many people, including doctors are aware of the numerous benefits of optimal testosterone levels. Unfortunately, many people are looking for a quick fix with “exogenous” (outside) testosterone -- such as injections, creams and pills. Unfortunately, when you add testosterone into your body, it has many negative side-effects if it’s not managed properly. It can actually cause the OPPOSITE effects over time. Doing it naturally is much better because you won’t have the negative effects and you’ll easily be able to maintain all the benefits long-term. Besides, even if you wanted to take exogenous testosterone (injections, creams, pills, etc.), utilizing today’s “natural” methods will only ENHANCE the positive effects and give you even more benefits. Diet What you eat, is just as important as what you DON’T eat. Food controls your hormones. PROTEIN About 25-35% of your protein source should be from fish, eggs and free range, grass fed bison/buffalo. All the other sources, even the “free range” chicken and cow/beef, still have lots of negative hormones -- despite what the government or “label” tells you. Make sure you also have WHOLE eggs daily because the cholesterol is needed to produce testosterone and other sex hormones. Just make sure it’s free range eggs. CARBS Have about 40-50% of your diet from healthy carbohydrates -- vegetables, fruits, lentils, yams, quinoa, and some white rice is fine in small amounts. FATS Make sure you have some healthy fats, about 25-30% of your diet. It helps produce many of your sex hormones, including testosterone. Most people eat the WRONG forms of fats, which can lower testosterone.13,14,15 Good fats are RAW coconut oil, macadamia oil, hemp oil, avocado, raw nuts/seeds and egg yolks. Exercise The RIGHT type of exercise can have dramatic effects on your hormones -- positive OR negative. Lifting heavy weights (6-10 repetitions) increases testosterone. You only need 3-4x weekly because too often will do the opposite because it’ll increase your stress hormone, Cortisol. Eliminate intense cardio such as running because it lowers testosterone and increases Cortisol, your stress hormone. Life-Style Lifestyle changes has to do more with stress management and rest. Sleep is very important. Most of us don’t get enough. So try to get to bed earlier. Squeeze in a little nap in the day as well if you can. This means negative thoughts, information, media … as well as negative people. You can’t eliminate it, but you can certainly REDUCE some of the negatives in your life. Supplements -- Natural Herbs & Vitamins Most of us are deficient in numerous herbs, vitamins and minerals. In fact, it’s estimated that we would need to eat at least 27,575 calories daily to get all the nutrients our bodies need. Because of this, I HIGHLY suggest you take specific herbs, vitamins and minerals to help boost your testosterone levels naturally, from within. Not only will your libido and sex drive increase, but you’ll feel younger, have more energy, increase your muscle mass and lose belly fat because of the naturally higher testosterone levels. And because this all happens naturally from WITHIN your own body, it’s safe for long-term use. Some of most effective and clinically proven herbal remedies boosting your testosterone are: Testofen® Fenugreek Extract (Trigonella foenum-graecum; 50% fenusides, 50% Saponins) Avena Sativa Extract (Oat Straw 100:1) Tongkat Ali Extract (Eurycoma Longifolia Jack 100:1) Maca Root (6% Extract) Bulgarian Pro-Tribulus™ Terrestris Extract (90% Sapongenins + 40% protodioscin) Stinging Nettle (95% Extract) (Urtica Dioica) L-Arginine Zinc + Copper Click here for a proven, 100% natural solution: ►http://drsam.co/yt/MoreTestosterone Or you can watch other videos related to erectile dysfunction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_z5fqph5YU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGfazrFHi70 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT8_UoaqTC4 ========= Thank you for watching. Boob Update! 9 Months on Hormone Replacement Therapy Male To Female

07:29
Here's my 9 months on hormone replacement therapy update and it's all about my boobs. I'll show you what I look like in different bras and before I take it all off and show you what I got. One of the most exciting things about hormone replacement therapy for me was breast growth. I'm very happy with my results so far as I'm right at a full A cup. There's been quite a few changes since my last boob update. They've really started to fill out and take a rounder shape which is nice. Of course I wish I was bigger but that will come with time and surgery. One thing I didn't expect was the nipple growth that I've had, once again, not upset lol. Female Hormone Imbalances & Mucous Membranes

03:29
http://getleantoday.com - Dr. Raj Banerjee shares details about the effects of mucous membranes and intestinal tracts impacting female hormone imbalance. The mucous membranes of the body compose the interface between the outside and the inside. So the mucus membrane would include the vagenal tract lining, the intestional tract lining, the respiratory tract lining, the urinary tract lining. All these mucous membrane tissues prevent bad stuff from getting in like bacteria, parasites, yeast, while allowing absorption of good things to come in. so they are a barrier to protect against bad stuff from getting in and at the same time to allow nutrients to come across. ### Intestinal Villus The most important mucous membrane lining in the body is in the lining in the digestive tract. This is where most absorption of nutrients occur. This is in the small intestine. And the health in the lining of the small intestine is going to determine to a large extent of our overall physical health. ### Advanced Malabsorption In people with malabsorption, a normal healthy intestinal tract lining is damaged. You can see these structures here gets cut off. We call it Villous Atrophy. If you are eating gluten and a lot of sugar this villi is going to get damage and it is going to get smaller like this and eventually it is going to look like this where the intestinal tract is going to be flat. Its like taking a flame thrower and taking a beautiful green lawn and using a flame thrower across it and singeing the whole thing. Burning off the tips of the grass. That’s what most of us have done to our intestinal tract lining. And by going on a gluten free diet we are trying to restore the villi and restore the villi and restore the health of the lining of the intestinal tract back to normal. It takes about 60 days or two months to improve the health of the lining of the digestive tract by going gluten free. Like this video and subscribe to this channel so he can continue to produce more videos to help you. He appreciates your support. Visit his site at http://getleantoday.com. Sacred Truth Ep. 72: Essential Hormonal Truths

11:15
What few people know is that the body's natural hormones are far more powerful than drugs. They can even alter the expression of our genes. When you have good hormonal control this leads to experiencing the very highest capacity for human health.   Your body contains more than 100 different kinds of hormones. These amazing powerhouses pour into your bloodstream and supply your body with literally thousands of billions of units each day. When they are in good balance they help control heartbeat, encourage good sleep, manage blood pressure, maintain strong firm muscles, lubricate your joints, and even build good bones. Of course they influence the menstrual cycle as well as countering stress, relieving depression, and preventing fatigue. They can even help protect you from infections and allergic reactions. However, knowledge about what the body’s natural hormones offer and how important they are for high-level health has long been marginalized and hidden from popular view by information that is largely controlled by pharmaceuticals.   In last week's Sacred Video I tried to introduce you to bio-Identical hormones. We examined how the body’s natural hormone levels decrease with age and what effect this has upon our vitality, and what can be done to counter this. Now let’s look deeper into the wonderful mysteries of bio-identical hormones, where they come from, and how, with guidance from a practitioner well versed in their use, they can be used to restore strength and balance to the body regardless of age. We will also begin to explore how they can help improve all sorts of chronic ailments, including thyroid issues, menstrual problems, fibromyalgia, PMS, autoimmune disorders, and heart disease. And there’s a lot more to come.   But first, let me share with you some information about the huge health study identifying the failure of conventional HRT, which opened the doors to exploring natural, bio-identical hormones not long ago. A randomized, placebo controlled study conducted by The Woman's Health Initiative (WHI) involved 40 large medical centers in the United States and 16,608 women. It was designed to find out the benefits and risks of using conventional hormone replacement. Half of the women in the study were given HRT in the form of Prempro (Provera and Premarin) and the other half received no active drugs, only a placebo. Researchers wanted to find out if there would be increases or decreases in heart disease, stroke, cancer, hip fractures, and death due to any cause. The study was intended to last for 8.5 years. However, researchers were forced to halt it at 5.2 years. Why? Because it became evident that the overall risks of giving conventional HRT far outweighed the overall benefits and it would have been completely irresponsible to continue the study. For example, they discovered that there was a 29% increase in coronary heart disease in women given conventional HRT, a 41% increase in the incidence of stroke, and an incredible 2,100% increase in pulmonary embolism—blood clots in the lungs. Women in the synthetic HRT group also experienced a surprising 26% increase in risk of breast cancer.   Here’s the bottom line: Natural hormones are not only safer in the hands of practitioners who are knowledgeable in how to prescribe them but also more effective. This is why they are on their way, slowly but surely, to becoming a first choice in the treatment of patients who have need of hormonal help.   Now let's take a quick look at some of your body's major hormone glands and the natural hormones they produce. If some of the names seem foreign to you, don’t worry—in the next couple of videos they will become familiar to you. Here are some of your most important glands and a sampling of some of the natural hormones that they make:   In the earlier part of our lives, provided we have been eating well and looking after ourselves, we can enjoy hormonal abundance. Then, bit-by-bit, each one of us experiences some degree of glandular deterioration. With it comes an inevitable decrease in hormone secretions. There are other factors involved that influence this degenerative process too; for example, we live in an increasingly polluted environment. These things can cause a buildup in our glands, which causes damage to them.   There are all sorts of things that can place extreme stress on the glands and cause a drop in natural hormone production. Overeating is one. So is the regular consumption of alcohol, drug use, smoking, intense athletics training, illness, infections, and exposure to pollution. These things place enormous strain on the body, which makes it susceptible to poor hormone production.

Endocrine Disruptors 4 - What Are Endocrine Disruptors

04:19
With compliments of www.waterpurifier.co.za. An endocrine disruptor is any compound that is capable of interacting with endocrine receptor cells in a body. The body mistakes it for the female hormone estrogen. Endocrine disruptors come in forms such as: detergents, shampoos, personal care products, fragrances, and so on. Many foods also have endocrine disrupting capabilities. An example is soy based baby formula. Many plastics that humans are exposed to every day contain the endocrine disruptor BPA (Bisphenol A plasticer). View to learn about what an endocrine disruptor is, and what products contain them. "I listened to Dr. Block's radio show for 2 years. I wish I'd come in sooner."

03:04
http://www.DocBlock.com, Dr. Jerome Block is Tulsa's miracle doctor who takes all the best from traditional medicine and all the best from alternative medicine and integrates them together to make people well. He does not just write you an RX to mask the pain, or mask the problem, he heals people. Total body health does not happen in 20 minutes, so don't expect to come in and be in and out. This is a comprehensive medical practice for healing people and it takes hours of tests and diagnostics to make a complete diagnosis and to take all the factors into consideration. Have you watched the TV show "House"? Well, in real life people need doctors like that, but in reality it takes many tests to get it right. Has the medical profession let you down? Have your past doctors not taken the time to get it right - to make you healthy again? Well, Dr. Block might be the right doctor for you if this is the case. Here's are some words about female hormones from his website, "The advantages of taking female hormones are great. Gynecological problems such as vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, decreased libido, vaginal infections, leakage of urine, and recurrent bladder infections are markedly improved. Uncomfortable symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, mood and sleep disturbances improve within forty-eight hours of taking female hormones. As noted above, cardiovascular disease, in particular, heart attack and stroke, is markedly reduced by hormone replacement. Osteopenia and osteoporosis can cause pain if mild, and fractures in severe cases in women not taking female hormones. Moreover, hormone replacement improves memory and artery health, decreases brain cell loss, and can lessen Alzheimer's disease. Cancer of the colon, dental cavities, decreased vision due to cataracts, dry eyes, and macular degeneration occur more often in women who do not take hormones. Although not nearly as important to physicians, but very important to the individual, premature aging occurs more in women who choose not to take female hormones. Wrinkling of the skin, decreased vibrancy of the hair, and slow growth and cracking of the nails are common signs of estrogen deficiency. Bioidentical or natural hormones are safer than the synthetics, as noted above. Most doctors who prescribe hormones use a combination of what the ovaries used to make in the form of Estriol (E3) and Estradiol (E2)—Biest. Others use the three natural estrogens: E2, E3, and E0 (Estrone)—Triest. I do not recommend Estrone (E0), as it has been implicated in breast cancer. Additionally, the ovaries did make progesterone and a small amount of androgen. The androgen, or testosterone, is made mostly in the adrenals. It has been the neglected hormone in females. Testosterone should be included as part of a women's natural hormone formula. This is essential to normal sexual desire. It helps promote weight loss and improves the integrity of muscle and bone and exercise tolerance. Recently I have been prescribing Estriol as the only estrogen. It not only tends to prevent cancer, but also is anti-inflammatory. Soon E3 will be a patented drug used to treat multiple sclerosis, certain arthritic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, and in the future, allergies and atherosclerosis. Since it is available now for a fraction of its Big Pharma price, I use it almost exclusively when I prescribe estrogen." Listen to his radio show every Sunday morning on 1170 talk radio.
