The Vitamin That Could Double Your Chance Of Beating Breast Cancer!Breast Cancer Friendly Vitamins Thanks For Watching This Video: The Vitamin That Could Double Your Chance Of Beating Breast Cancer!Breast Cancer Friendly Vitamins : https://youtu.be/rkczekHOgLU Don't forget to Subscribe for updates: https://goo.gl/WqO5fo Research has shown over and over again how important active prevention is when it comes to lowering your risk of cancer. Prevention may come in the form of exercising, eating a balanced diet full of whole foods, refraining from substance abuse and making sure that your body gets the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. According to Carole Baggerly, founder of GrassrootsHealth, as much as 90% of ordinary breast cancer may be related to Vitamin D deficiency, and there are several recent studies to back up her claim. The Link Between Breast Cancer And Vitamin D A meta-analysis published in the March 2014 issue of Anticancer Research found that patients diagnosed with breast cancer who had high Vitamin D levels were twice as likely to survive, compared to women with low levels of Vitamin D. Over 4,5000 breast cancer patients were part of the analysis. Researchers studied the patients over a nine-year period. Co-author of the study, Professor Cedric F. Garland, explained, “As long as Vitamin D receptors were present, tumor growth was prevented and kept from expanding its blood supply. Vitamin D receptors are not lost until a tumor is very advanced. This is the reason for better survival in patients whose Vitamin D blood levels are high.” The researchers urged doctors to make Vitamin D monitoring and optimization an important part of standard breast cancer care. They recommend that breast cancer patients should restore their Vitamin D levels to a normal range of 30-80 ng/ml. In a 2011 study, Dr. Garland found that a Vitamin D level of 50 ng/ml is associated with a 50% lower risk of breast cancer. His team concluded a minimum protective level to be 40 ng/ml of Vitamin D. This equals out to anywhere from 1,000 IUs to as much as 8,000 IUs of Vitamin D3 each day. This number is much higher than the recommended daily allowance of 600 IUs of Vitamin D for adults. Vitamin D From The Sun Vs. Oral Supplements The best way to optimize your Vitamin D levels is to spend time outdoors each day. When you expose your skin to the sun, it synthesizes Vitamin D3 sulfate – a form of Vitamin D that is water-soluble. Oral Vitamin D3 supplements are not water-soluble. Water-soluble Vitamin D3 from the sun can travel freely throughout your bloodstream, unlike the unsulfated form that needs LDL cholesterol as a form of transport. You can check your Vitamin D levels by using an at-home kit, or by visiting a health care professional. If you can’t get enough sunshine and you choose an oral Vitamin D supplement instead, many experts agree that 35 IUs of Vitamin D per pound of body weight can be used to estimate your ideal dose. However, it is better to check your dosage with a health care professional. It has other names such as ascorbic acid and has been called the most popular supplement in the world. It is essential because humans can not synthesize vitamin C and must obtain it from their diet. I'm just going to briefly summarize the things I think are worth knowing about vitamin C. Everything I'm going to say is evidence based with research to back it up. It is well known as a vitamin supplement taken to prevent the common cold. I looked up the data for this. A 2013 meta-analysis of 29 trials (n = 11,306) showed a small but significant 8 percent reduction in the duration of cold symptoms in adults regularly taking vitamin C supplements (at least 200 mg/day). In the general population it does not reduce the risk of developing a cold or getting sick. It does appear to have a protective effect in highly active individuals. In other words, the evidence is not strong that vitamin C is dramatically helpful in preventing or treating the common cold in most people. Vitamin C has not been shown to reduce the risk of developing cancer, cardiovascular disease or coronary heart disease, cataracts or macular degeneration SOURCES citric fruits, kiwi fruits, apples, vegetables, potatoes, leafy greens, and fortified cereals RECOMMENDED DAILY ALLOWANCE Males 90 mg/day Females 75 mg/day Should not exceed 2000 mg/day Vitamin C, also known as ascorbate, ascorbic acid, dehydroascorbic acid. It is a well known antioxidant. It has been associated with the common cold (acute coryza, adenovirus), head cold, nasopharyngitis, rhinopharyngitis, rhinovirus, scurvy, URI or upper respiratory infection. It is used by bodybuilders and weight lifters as a recovery supplement, it may help boost the immune system, helps with collagen synthesis, muscle building.

Vitamins Are Important For Your Teeth | Dr. Steven Lin

02:08
The fat-soluble vitamins can prevent all dental diseases. Reducing sugar, brushing, and flossing is only part of the story if you want to really prevent tooth decay. However, conventional dental training has not taught the physiology of vitamin A, D, and K2. Inside each of your teeth is an immune system. They are hungry for these vitamins, and if you feed them enough, you build immunity for tooth decay. In the same way, they calm your gut and immune system to prevent gum disease. But most importantly, they guide jaw growth, meaning children who eat these vitamins grow strong, wide jaws, that don't require orthodontic braces. Straight, strong teeth need healthy doses of these vitamins, and the modern diet does NOT provide enough. That's why I wrote The Dental Diet. Our dietary guidelines need desperate readjustment to prevent all dental diseases. The mouth is the simplest and easiest way to model how to eat for whole-body health. In my book, The Dental Diet, I'll explore this lesson with you and give you the 40-day food plan to have a brilliant smile and life-changing natural health.

Why Your Vitamin & Mineral Supplements May Be Useless.

02:18
https://atpscience.com/wholefood-vs-synthetic-vitamins/ https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/news/20131216/experts-dont-waste-your-money-on-multivitamins#1 https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/multivitamins-are-a-waste-of-money-doctors-say/ Synthetic Vitamins Man cannot duplicate what nature creates, even when the chemical analysis is identical. Most vitamin supplements are isolated chemical USP (United States Pharmacopeia) vitamins and minerals pressed together in a pill. The vitamins are produced synthetically from petroleum in chemical plants, while the minerals come from mining companies. Synthetic minerals are derived from rocks such as limestone, coral, oyster shell, sand, and chalk. Yum. Although these materials have mineral profiles, our bodies do not absorb them properly. Humans are not designed to digest rocks and oyster shells. Ideally, we should get all our minerals from plants. Plants absorb these minerals from soil and convert them to a form that is bioavailable to your body. However, because the soils are so deficient in minerals, even on organic farms, we need to take mineral supplements. It is best to take chelated minerals, which are minerals bound to amino acids, for maximum absorption. Many claim that synthetic vitamins suppress your immune system. Brian Clement, in his book, Supplements Exposed, claims that because of their synthetic nature, the body views synthetic supplements as foreign substances and launches an immune response. Foods and food-based supplements can cause immune system reactions as well. This is not necessarily a reason to avoid synthetic supplements and does not seem to harm your immune system in any meaningful way. For these reasons, I am in favor of using synthetic vitamins and recommend their use. Food-based vitamins are not always better absorbed. This is not the case with every person or every nutrient. We do absorb synthetic vitamins and minerals. Absorption depends upon many factors. When the body is presented with a synthetic isolate, it may need to draw on its stores of cofactors needed to absorb the vitamins, namely proteins, carbs, fats, bioflavonoids, enzymes, and other vitamins and minerals, but this is not always the case. While true at times, the body is very capable of absorbing a synthesized or isolated nutrient such as vitamin B or vitamin C, even if no other food components or cofactors are provided. If these cofactors are not available, a water-soluble isolate could be excreted and a fat-soluble isolate may be stored in fat, but for the most part the vitamin or mineral can be used. Due to this, the biological activity of synthetic vitamins can be reduced compared to their natural counterparts. The absorption issue is a stance many food-based supplements take as a reason to use their products, but this issue is really blown far out of proportion. Synthetics are absorbed quite well when taken with a meal. Many synthetic vitamins are poorly absorbed simply because they are bound together with cheap binders that don’t allow a release of the nutrients, not necessarily because the synthetic vitamins are themselves poorly absorbed. Truly health-conscious consumers choose to avoid artificial, unnatural and synthetic chemicals, but often — and unknowingly — consume these in dietary supplements. Misleading information on supplement labels is the most common reason for confusion about these ingredients. Consuming these potentially dangerous chemicals is much more serious than once thought. We should be concerned about taking synthetic vitamins and other unnatural nutrients because published research in the last few years concludes two important things: First, synthetic and other unnatural nutrients are mostly ineffective in preventing disease. Second, these chemicals may be dangerous to your health — some have been shown to increase the risk of death! Most of the studies show an increased incidence of cancer and heart disease, the reason for the increased risk.

Vitamin C has not been shown to reduce the risk of developing cancer, cardiovascular disease or coronary heart disease, cataracts or macular degeneration RECOMMENDED DAILY ALLOWANCE Males 90 mg/day Females 75 mg/day Should not exceed 2000 mg/day Vitamin C, also known as ascorbate, ascorbic acid, dehydroascorbic acid. MICRO NUTRIENT RECOMMENDATIONS 🍎🌽🍆🍓

04:01
This post will explain a little about micro nutrients and how we can best assure we are hitting our daily targets. When discussing micro nutrients we are talking about the nutrients our bodies need in only small amounts. Macro nutrients (fats, carbs, proteins) are usually consumed in grams whereas micro nutrients are normally consumed in milligrams. The micro nutrients can be split into two groups, vitamins and minerals. These can further be divided into micro and macro minerals, and fat soluble and water soluble vitamins. MINERALS Micro minerals are needed in smaller quantities then macro minerals. Calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, sodium, and magnesium are all examples of macro minerals. Some examples of micro minerals would be, zinc, molybdenum, iodine, selenium, and copper. VITAMINS Vitamins are either absorbed with the assistance of water or of fat. The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E, K and are easily remembered using the phrase Adek. All other vitamins are water soluble, making it easy to remember. The water soluble vitamins also leave the body via water meaning when we sweat and wee, we are excreting these vitamins. Because of this these vitamins must be replenished daily and are more likely to be deficient in our diet when compared to fat soluble vitamins. WATCH THE VIDEO TO HEAR HOW MUCH MICRO NUTRITION CAN EFFECT YOU IN THE GYM AND ACHIEVING YOUR WEIGHT LOSS GOALS! What Is Fecal Fat Stain?

01:48
This test is important to determine the presence of a digestive problem involving the metabolism of fats. Greetings, Eric Bakker, Naturopath, thanks for coming back. We're going to talk about the fecal fat stain. So this is often done by the doctor on the worst part of the stool analysis to determine if your body's digesting fats properly. So, you know, you will eat, typically, up to about 100 grams of fat for two or three days before the test and then a stool sample is taken to determine what the fat content's like. This is an especially relevant test for people who've had a gall bladder removed. Or who have IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Or any kind of, like, chronic digestive problem. But, also, it will show up darkly if you've got pancreatitis, if potentially you've got many different types of conditions there. As I mentioned, IBS, IBD, Pancreatitis. You really need to know this, it's important to understand if your body's digesting fats properly. If it's not, you're in for a lot of problems. Because remember, also, fat soluble vitamins get broken down and absorbed through this pathway as well. So, if you're passing of too much fat through the stool and not absorbing it, it can lead to deficiencies, fatigue, a whole raft of different problems. So, this is normally done as part of a comprehensive stool analysis. But, often it can be done by your GI doctor as a small stand-alone test; particularly if the gall bladder is being removed. A good thing to do yourself, regularly, is to look in the toilet bowl to see if there's any fat floating on the water after a bowel motion. Because that can alert you, also, to problems. And, sometimes just taking a digestive enzyme for a few weeks or a few months can sort the problem out. Sometimes, you might need to be on it longer. And other times, you may need to change your diet. But that gives you a bit of an insight into the fecal fat test. Thanks for tuning in.

This development occurred independently in several places around the world from as early as 9000--7000 BC in Southwest Asia to 3500--3000 BC in the Americas. The most important dairy animals—cattle, sheep and goats—were first domesticated in Southwest Asia, although domestic cattle has been independently derived from wild auroch populations several times since. Initially animals were kept for meat, and archaeologist Andrew Sherratt has suggested that dairying, along with the exploitation of domestic animals for hair and labor, began much later in a separate secondary products revolution in the 4th millennium BC. Sherratt's model is not supported by recent findings, based on the analysis of lipid residue in prehistoric pottery, that show that dairying was practiced in the early phases of agriculture in Southwest Asia, by at least the 7th millennium BC. From Southwest Asia domestic dairy animals spread to Europe (beginning around 7000 BC but not reaching Britain and Scandinavia until after 4000 BC), and South Asia (7000--5500 BC). The first farmers in central Europe and Britain milked their animals. Pastoral and pastoral nomadic economies, which rely predominantly or exclusively on domestic animals and their products rather than crop farming, were developed as European farmers moved into the Pontic-Caspian steppe in the 4th millennium BC, and subsequently spread across much of the Eurasian steppe. Sheep and goats were introduced to Africa from Southwest Asia, but African cattle may have been independently domesticated around 7000--6000 BC. Camels, domesticated in central Arabia in the 4th millennium BC, have also been used as a dairy animal in North Africa and the Arabian peninsula. In the rest of the world (i.e., East and Southeast Asia, the Americas and Australia) milk and dairy products were historically not a large part of the diet, either because they remained populated by hunter-gatherers who did not keep animals or the local agricultural economies did not include domesticated dairy species. Milk consumption became common in these regions comparatively recently, as a consequence of European colonialism and political domination over much of the world in the last 500 years. In 1863, French chemist and biologist Louis Pasteur invented pasteurization, a method of killing harmful bacteria in beverages and food products. In 1884, Doctor Hervey Thatcher, an American inventor from New York, invented the first glass milk bottle, called 'Thatcher's Common Sense Milk Jar', which was sealed with a waxed paper disk. Later, in 1932, plastic-coated paper milk cartons were introduced commercially as a consequence of their invention by Victor W. Farris... Physical and chemical properties of milk Milk is an emulsion or colloid of butterfat globules within a water-based fluid that contains dissolved carbohydrates. Because it is produced as a food source for a neonate, all of its contents provide benefits to the growing young. The principle requirements of the neonate are energy (lipids, lactose, and protein), biosynthesis of non-essential amino acids supplied by proteins (essential amino acids and amino groups), essential fatty acids, vitamins and inorganic elements, and water. Lipids Initially milk fat is secreted in the form of a fat globule surrounded by a membrane. Each fat globule is composed almost entirely of triacylglycerols and is surrounded by a membrane consisting of complex lipids such as phospholipids, along with proteins. These act as emulsifiers which keep the individual globules from coalescing and protect the contents of these globules from various enzymes in the fluid portion of the milk... The fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K along with essential fatty acids such as linoleic and linolenic acid are found within the milk fat portion of the milk. Proteins Normal bovine milk contains 30--35 grams of protein per liter of which about 80% is arranged in casein micelles...
