AM I DIZZY BECAUSE OF DIABETES

01:51
IS YOUR DIZZINESS A SYMPTOM OF DIABETES? EVALUATION OF THE SOURCE OF DIZZINESS IS A MUST - FOR YOU AND THOSE YOU KNOW AND LOVE! The causes of the symptom of dizziness can be easily diagnosed or very elusive; and potentially life threatening. The other clear and present danger posed by dizziness is the fact that some people are able to adjust to it and go about their daily lives more or less normally. They drive motor vehicles. They use potentially dangerous equipment at the workplace. And, they operate recreational equipment that demands total control in order to be used safely. The problem is, their dizziness can be as potentially debilitating as performing the same activities while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. Dizziness should never be tolerated! Check with your Doctor to make certain that your dizziness is not related to Diabetes. If your symptoms of dizziness and imbalance are apparently not Diabetes-related and do not seem to respond to routine treatment, you should consider further evaluation by an Otologist/Ear Surgeon in order to clarify the possible problem and identify appropriate therapies. Brian J. McKinnon, M.D., F.A.C.S., is an Ear Surgeon/Neurotologist and Associate at Shea Ear Clinic, Memphis, TN, and an Associate Clinical Professor of Otology/Neurotology, University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis.

BLURRY VISION; Why is yours Vision Blurry

11:45
BLURRY VISION; Why is yours Vision Blurry. Thousands of people suffer daily from blurred or diffuse vision, a disorder that has many causes and one you should not ignore. Above all if this problem is accompanied by headaches, dizziness, tiredness and nausea, it is very important that you find out why and how to prevent it. Do you often find yourself blinking, squinting, or rubbing your eyes to gain a clearer view? If you have blurry vision, you might chalk it up to age or needing new glasses. But it can be a sign of other health problems, too. Often, treatment for these conditions will clear up your blurred vision. Remember, though, that sudden changes to your eyesight aren’t normal, so if they happen, see your doctor right away. Could It Be Diabetes? The condition raises your risk for an eye disease called diabetic retinopathy. Over time, high blood sugar can damage the tiny blood vessels in your retina, the part of your eye that senses light. That can lead to swelling in a part of the retina called the macula. Along with blurry vision, diabetic eye disease may also cause: “Floating” spots in your field of vision Blindness Early treatment is the best way to ward off permanent damage. So protect your eyes from diabetes by getting them checked at least once a year. Could It Be a Stroke? One of the key signs that you’re having a stroke is a sudden, painless change in eyesight. You might have blurry vision, see double, or suddenly lose your sight. Call 911 right away if you have any of these changes and other stroke warning signs, such as: Dizziness Face drooping Loss of balance Slurred speech or other problems speaking clearly Weakness or numbness in one arm Could It Be Preeclampsia? If you’re pregnant, you shouldn’t take blurry vision lightly. It could be a sign of preeclampsia, a dangerous condition marked by very high blood pressure and protein in your urine. Preeclampsia occurs in women who have never had high blood pressure before and generally occurs late in pregnancy, generally after 20 weeks. It can have serious, life-threatening effects on you and your baby. Preeclampsia may not cause any symptoms, but blurry vision and other sight changes such as seeing flashing lights or spots could be clues that you have it. Be sure to contact your doctor if you notice these as well as other possible signs: Anxiety, shortness of breath, a racing heart, or confusion Nausea or vomiting that suddenly starts after the first trimester Pain in your belly, shoulder, or low back Sudden weight gain Swelling, especially in your face, around your eyes, or in your hands Throbbing headaches that don’t go away CONTINUED Could It Be a Migraine? A migraine is more than a horrible headache. There are a host of other symptoms that you might have with the pain, including blurry vision and sensitivity to light. You may feel these signs even before a migraine starts, and they may last until it’s over. More dramatic changes to your eyesight during a migraine are called an aura. They can include: Loss of part or all of your vision for a little while Seeing flashes of light Seeing wavy lines or spots To solve these problems, you’ll need to work with your doctor to treat your migraines and keep them from starting. Could It Be Psoriasis? You may know this condition from these symptoms: Itchy or sore patches of skin Joint pain and inflammation Thick, red, scaly patches on the skin But psoriasis can affect your eyes, too. It can cause a condition called uveitis, when inflammation leads to swelling that causes blurred vision, pain, redness, and sensitivity to light. Treatments can get rid of uveitis, but the type you need will depend on which part of your eye is affected. Could It Be Multiple Sclerosis? Blurry vision is often one of the earliest symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS). The disease causes inflammation along the nerve that connects your eyes to your brain, called the optic nerve. That causes a condition called optic neuritis, which can give you blurry sight, loss of color vision, and pain when you move your eyes. It often happens in just one eye. Besides blurry vision, MS also causes: Trouble with balance Bladder and bowel problems Dizziness Feeling very tired Numbness Stiffness Weakness Optic neuritis doesn’t necessarily mean you have MS, so talk to your doctor about what’s causing it. The problem often goes away on its own, but your doctor can give you some medications to help you heal faster. CONTINUED Could It Be a Brain Tumor? Scary, but true: A tumor in any part of your brain can make pressure build inside your skull. That can cause many symptoms, including blurred vision. Other signs of a possible brain tumor are: Drowsiness Headache that won’t go away Nausea Personality changes Seizures Vomiting If your doctor thinks you might have a brain tumor, she’ll use different tests to check how well your brain and spinal cord work, as well as imaging tests to see inside your head.

Symptoms of magnesium deficiency | 32 Signs You Immediately Need More Magnesium, And How To Get It 32 Signs You Immediately Need More Magnesium, And How To Get It. Sometimes, we often ignore the symptoms we experience, but it is a fact that the deficiency of a single nutrient can lead to numerous health complications. The American diet is greatly changed these days, which has led to numerous health issues, and deficiencies in various nutrients. One of the most common deficiencies is the one of magnesium. Magnesium is not easy to obtain from food sources, but it is extremely important for the human body. This essential mineral is responsible for over 300 processes and chemical reactions in the body. People took this nutrient in sufficient amounts previously, as it was prevalent in the soil years ago. This is not the case today, mostly due to modern farming and the erosion. Magnesium deficiency is also caused by the consumption of unhealthy foods instead of foods like seeds, nuts, dark leafy greens, mackerel, and beans, which are high in magnesium. These are the most common symptoms of magnesium deficiency, which should never be ignored, in order to prevent other health complications: 1. Dizziness, 2. Fatigue, 3. Memory loss, 4. Confusion, 5. Liver and kidney disease, 6. Difficulty swallowing, 7. Calcium deficiency, 8. Osteoporosis, 9. Constipation, 10. Hypoglycemia, 11. Anxiety, 12. Bowel disease, 13. Cystitis, 14. Muscle cramps, 15. What Does Low Blood Sugar Feel Like?

07:20
Get My Diabetes Guide Here https://goo.gl/bYLBEz You may think this is a weird question for a diabetes channel to tackle. But a 2015 study by Chloe Eldridge found that “Current evidence shows hypoglycaemia is considerably prevalent amongst people with type 2 diabetes, particularly for those on insulin, yet still fairly common for other treatment regimens. This highlights the subsequent need for educational interventions and individualisation of therapies to reduce the risk of hypoglycaemia.” First let’s define what we mean by hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia happens when the amount of blood glucose (sugar in the blood) drops to a level that's too low to sustain normal functioning; in most people, this is defined as a blood-sugar level below 70 mg/dl. Left untreated, hypoglycemia can lead to a coma and even death. It is very important that those with diabetes monitor sugar levels and treat hypoglycemia when it is present and right away. It happens more often than we think. So what does it feel like to have hypoglycemia? Let’s look at the most common symptoms. There are two classes of hypoglycemic symptoms - those due to lack of sugar in the brain and those due to the adrenalin response of your body. When blood sugar levels get too low, the body will signal for the adrenal glands to kick in. This signals the liver for more sugar. Symptoms from the adrenalin response: One of the first signs you might notice is an insatiable hunger. You’ve eaten but nothing you eat can seem to fill you up. If you have this feeling and you just can’t get enough to eat, check your blood sugar immediately. If it is lower than 70, get 15 grams of fast acting carbs in your body. This can come from a variety of sources: 4 ounces fruit juice 6 ounces regular soda (not diet) 4 or 5 saltine crackers 1 tablespoon of jelly or honey 8 pieces of hard candy Inability to rest at night. This could be due to nocturnal hypoglycemia. Signs of Nocturnal Hypoglycemia are: Restlessness. Making unusual noises. Attempting to get out of bed or accidentally rolling out of bed. Sleepwalking. Nightmares. Sweating. You may wake up with a headache in the morning if your blood sugar was low during the night. Sometimes a snack before bed can reduce the frequency and severity of these sleep disturbances. Some people have a strong feeling of anxiety. This is caused by that rush of adrenalin. This overload of adrenalin can cause some very anxious moments and can also make you feel panicked. You may have uncontrollable sweating even if you aren’t hot. This can be one of the very first signs of hypoglycemia. The central nervous system kicks in after the adrenalin has been pushed from the adrenal glands and this causes the autonomic nervous system to issue a “sweat order” to the skin. Shakes and tremors. Because of the adrenalin rush, the central nervous system starts to malfunction. As a result, it releases chemicals that encourage glucose production and also produce the tremors. Symptoms from lack of sugar in the brain: Fatigue can actually fall in both categories. There is a fatigue that can set in after an adrenalin rush, but also a fatigue from the lack of sugar in the brain. Either can be very serious. Emotional instability. Mood swings and sudden emotional episodes not typical of your normal behavior are among the neurological symptoms of hypoglycemia. These could include irrational outbursts, random crying for no reason which may become uncontrollable, extreme anger without cause, and a strong desire to be left alone. Mild mood changes that may not be as severe, such as general irritability or becoming easily annoyed, can also be a signal that your blood sugar may be dropping. Dizziness and light-headedness. If you experience these common symptoms of hypoglycemia, heed them and treat the hypoglycemia quickly. Dropping blood sugar levels can result in fainting. If you feel dizzy or light headed, sit or lie down immediately to avoid injuring yourself. Because the brain is especially sensitive to a drop in sugar, you may experience a sense of confusion and an inability to concentrate on one thing at a time. Your mind seems to wander all over the place. If your vision suddenly becomes blurry or you see double, a drop in blood sugar may be to blame. This is also a result of the brain’s lack of sugar affecting the optic nerve. Your sugar-starved brain may cause you to slur your words. To others this may resemble someone who has been drinking. But you may not even notice. These lists are not exhaustive, but are the more common symptoms of hypoglycemia. According to WebMD, Some people have no symptoms of low blood sugar. The only symptom you may have is confusion. Or you may become unconscious before anyone realizes you have low blood sugar...

Diabetes type 2: Do you have low blood sugar? Symptoms to look out for including dizziness

03:27
Diabetes type 2 is caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin, or the body not reacting to the hormone, according to the NHS.Without enough insulin, the body can’t convert sugar in the blood into useable energy. If you take insulin to treat your diabetes, you could be at risk of low blood sugar - or hypocalcaemia - if you take too much of diabetes medicine.Symptoms of low blood sugar can include feeling dizzy, and is usually treated by eating a sugar snack. “Hypoglycaemia is a condition characterised by abnormally low blood glucose [blood sugar] levels, usually less than 70mg/dl,” said the American Diabetes Association.“However, it is important to talk to your health care provider about your individual blood glucose targets, and what level is too low for you.“Hypoglycaemic symptoms are important clues that you have low blood glucose.“Each person's reaction to hypoglycaemia is different, so it's important that you learn your own signs and symptoms when your blood glucose is low.” Symptoms of diabetes Fri, August 19, 2016 Diabetes is a common life-long health condition. There are 3.5 million people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK and an estimated 500,000 who are living undiagnosed with the condition. You could have low blood sugar if you’re simply feeling hungry, or feeling tired, the NHS said.Other symptoms of hypocalcaemia include sweating, tingling lips and feeling shaky.A fast or pounding heartbeat, feeling irritable and turning pale are signs you should increase your blood sugar. If left untreated, patients can experience blurred vision, confusion, and seizures. If your blood sugar drops below 4mmol/L, or you have hypocalcaemia symptoms, you should try drinking a small glass of non-diet fizzy drink or fruit juice, or eat a handful of sweets. After 10 to 15 minutes, test your blood sugar again to see if it’s now above 4mmol/L.If it’s still below that threshold, have another sugary drink or snack, and check again in another 10 to 15 minutes. If you’re feeling better after having a hypocalcaemia flare up - or ‘hypo’ - you don’t usually need medical help. But, you should tell your diabetes team if you keep having low blood sugar, the NHS said.

Dizzy Spells - What can cause dizziness?

01:16
http://reviews247.net/vertigodiz Dizzy Spells - What can cause dizziness? What causes dizzy spells is a popular question and one that is not easily answered. A common cause of dizzy spells is abnormal heart rhythms, during which the heart doesn't pump enough blood to the brain. Dizziness is a painless head discomfort with many possible causes including disturbances of vision, the brain, balance (vestibular) system of the inner ear, and gastrointestinal system. Dizziness is often a result of vertigo as well. In some cases, no cause for dizziness is determined. Another thing it could be for the dizzy spells is dehydration. Dizziness is one of the more common reasons adults visit their doctors. However, if the dizziness is accompanied by other abnormal factors such as double vision, vomiting or trouble using your arms and legs, Lotkowski said you should get to the doctor or emergency room immediately. dizzy spells vertigo cure lightheadedness causes what can cause dizziness causes of lightheadedness how to treat vertigo dizzyness what causes lightheadedness vertigo cure exercises for vertigo sudden dizziness symptoms of vertigo vertigo definition vertigo exercises signs of vertigo bppv treatment vertigo meaning treatment for vertigo feeling dizzy #vertigo #dizziness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXjShu3_JDw&t=100s

Are you Afraid of Heights? | Vertigo | #aumsum #kids #acrophobia #science #vertigo

06:30
Vertigo is not necessarily fear of heights. In medical terms, vertigo refers to a false sensation of movement due to which we feel dizzy. The most common type of vertigo is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo or BPPV. It is caused when our inner ear which helps us maintain balance by detecting motion and position of our body, doesn't function properly. Normally, when we move our head, the cilia and calcium crystals in our inner ear move, thus sending signals to the brain about our movement. However, sometimes some crystals dislodge and move into the fluid filled semicircular canals. Now, when we move our head, the crystals move along with the fluid. However, even after our head movement has stopped, the crystals keep moving in the canals, thus sending wrong signals to the brain that our head is still moving. Due to this wrong information, the person gets a false sensation of movement which makes him feel dizzy, thus causing vertigo. Also, don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

The brain needs sugar almost exclusively. The brain cannot produce its own sugar and depends on the body for its supply. If glucose level in the blood falls, brain may cease to function normally. Body gets required sugar or glucose from foods. Nervousness, intense hunger, palpitations, sweating, trembling, weakness, are normally the common symptoms of hypoglycemia. This is a chronic disease and cannot be cured by medicine. Low blood sugar is the typical cause for Hyperglycemia. If the sugar level in your body falls below 60 mg/dl, liver releases glucose. This is normal biological cycle. If liver fails to releases the required extra sugar, it becomes a case of hypoglycemia. For a patient who suffers from hypoglycemia losses sugar through urination. In a normal person excess sugar is stored in liver as glycogen. During strenuous physical labor or long periods of fasting, body gets its sugar supply from liver. Gluco-neo-genesis is the biological process which converts glycogen to glucose. The problem in imbalance of sugar level in body happens due to malfunctioning of Pancreas. Patients with diabetes (Type1 diabetes or Type 2 diabetes) who have insulin resistance can also have low sugars. Prolonged fasting can trigger this process further. There are other causes for hypoglycemia, like insulin producing tumors (insulinomas) and certain medications. The primarily cause of hypoglycemia is diabetes mellitus. When the glucose level in circulating blood falls, the brain actually senses the drop. Brain sends an alert to the affected person in the form of hunger. Brain also starts several biological actions to increase sugar level. There will be decrease in insulin secretion and increase in glucagon; cortisol secretion as these hormones boosts higher blood glucose level. If blood glucose sugar level falls to 45 mg/dl range, patient starts to feel confusion, drowsiness, changes in behavior, coma and seizure. This is the case of acute hypoglycemia. 11 Signs Your Body Needs More Magnesium

03:49
Magnesium is a mineral found in many types of foods, it plays an essential role in human DNA production, repair and in maintaining healthy bones, nerves and muscles. Though it is readily available, most Americans do not meet their need for magnesium through their diet. you should consider getting your magnesium level checked if you suffer the following 11 symptoms. 1. Low energy. Magnesium is involved in at least 300 different chemical reactions in our body, and a lot have to do with energy production. A sign of low magnesium can be low energy. 2.Insomnia. If you're having a hard time falling or staying asleep, it may be due to low levels of magnesium, particularly if you are experiencing a lot of stress. Stress hormones increase blood pressure and heart rate, this is partly accomplished by depleting the body of its magnesium If there isn't enough magnesium available for the body to replenish itself, sleeping becomes a problem. 3.Constipation. Bowel movements often slow down without enough magnesium in the body. note that magnesium is the main ingredient in many over-the-counter laxatives. 4.Frequent headaches. Magnesium deficiency lowers serotonin levels, causes blood vessels to constrict and affects neurotransmitter function, all related to headaches -- especially migraines. 50% of migraine sufferers have a magnesium deficiency. 5.Twitching or cramping. Because magnesium plays an important role in muscle relaxation, insufficient intake can result in unintended muscle movement. Without magnesium, our muscles would be in a constant state of contraction 6.Low bone density. Magnesium plays a major role in bone formation, and the majority of the body's magnesium is stored in the bones. People with higher intakes of magnesium have a higher bone mineral density. 7.High blood pressure. Magnesium is very important in maintaining a healthy blood pressure, a deficiency can definitely cause pressure to be too high. Eating foods high in magnesium and other minerals can help prevent high blood pressure in people with prehypertension. 8.Type 2 diabetes. Breaking down blood sugars is another of magnesium's jobs in the human body. People with higher amounts of magnesium in their diets tend to have a lower risk of developing diabetes. Research is ongoing to determine whether magnesium therapy can be used in diabetes treatment. 9.Irregular heartbeat. With low magnesium levels, the heart can have trouble staying in its regular rhythm. doctors will often prescribe magnesium supplements for patients who complain of an irregular heartbeat. 10.Increased sensitivity to noise. Not having enough magnesium curtails its role in stabilizing the nervous system, This often results in hyperflexia, an enhanced startle reflex. And 11. Depression and anxiety. Low levels of magnesium in the brain can affect neurological functions that result in all sorts of problems. Studies have shown that some phobias -- such as agoraphobia -- have developed as a result of low magnesium levels.  Please Subscribe! ▶ https://goo.gl/ksfh7M NOTE: The materials and the information contained on Natural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter.
