15 Foods to Avoid if You Have High Blood Pressure

04:07
15 Foods to Avoid if You Have High Blood Pressure 15. Deli Meat Processed deli and lunch meats you buy to make sandwiches can quickly become a sodium trap. Deli meats are often cured, seasoned, and preserved with salt to last longer. A two-ounce serving of some lunch meats could contain about 600 milligrams of sodium or more. 14. Chinese Take-out It's about the sodium. Some food items could contain more than two days' worth of sodium! 13. Frozen Pizza It's an easy and inexpensive dinner, right? All you have to do is turn your oven on to 425 degrees, and pop that baby in until the cheese starts to melt and the crust turns golden brown. 12. Baked Goods Those packed glossy sweet goods that sometimes come with colorful icing and sprinkles are enticing, but with salted saturated fats, sugar, and sodium-rich leavening agents, they are anything but good for you. 11. Canned Tomato Products Both canned tomato sauce and canned tomato juice are loaded with sodium. One cup of tomato juice has 680 milligrams of sodium, while one serving of spaghetti with meat sauce contains 1,300 milligrams of sodium. 10. Red Meat A big Texas-sized steak with salt for dinner is a no-no. A healthy eating plan should have only a small amount, if any, of saturated or trans-fats. Fatty foods are bad for both the heart and blood vessels. 9. Sauerkraut Here is a less obvious no-no. It is low in calories and a way to add vegetables to a bratwurst, but it also has over 460 mg of sodium in one serving. 8. Ramen Noodles Ramen noodles, cup noodles or any another pre-packaged noodle meal is popular among college students and lazy adults but highly damaging to your body. 7. Alcohol Everybody loves happy hour, but alcohol consumption actively causes blood pressure to elevate. It also damages the walls of the blood vessels while simultaneously increasing risks of further complications, making it a horrible choice for adults with high blood pressure. 6. Bacon To be quite frank, bacon is mostly fat. Three slices have 4.5 grams of fat and about 270 mg of sodium, and most people eat way more than that at breakfast or in those B.L.T. sandwiches. 5. Donuts Oh no! The donuts you love are indeed one of the foods to avoid if you have high blood pressure or just want to be a healthy person. The ring-shaped fried dough snack is worse than many other snacks in the market. 4. Frozen Pot Pies A single serving of pot pie equals about 1,400 mg of sodium in addition to about 35 grams of fat. That's more than 50% of your daily recommended intake for both, and in one serving. 3. Whole Milk Didn't expect to see this one on the list, did you? Milk is a great source of calcium, but high-fat dairy sources, like whole milk, provides you more fat than you need. One cup serving of whole milk has about 8 grams of fat, 5 grams of which are saturated. 2. Canned Chicken Noodle Soup The perfect food for those cold rainy days is far from perfect for people with high blood pressure. On average, a cup of canned chicken noodle soup contains as much as 760 mg of sodium. Eat an entire can, which makes about two and a half servings, will have you gulping down 1,800 mg of sodium. 1. Pickles The crunchy, low-calorie snack is a great complement to your sandwich order except for the fact that it's loaded with sodium. Three medium pickles, about 3.75 inches long, can have about 2,355 mg of sodium, more than the recommended sodium limit of 2,300 mg for an entire day. ☝️ 3 Pressure Points That’ll Instantly Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally

05:23
How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure by 23% In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/LongTermLowBP Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/WorstFoodForBP ======================================= ☝️ 3 Pressure Points That’ll Instantly Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally ======================================= Lowering high blood pressure is a very important topic not only for avoiding a heart attack or stroke, but simply for a longer life. And personally speaking, this is very important for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure, which has typically lead to strokes on my dad’s side of the family and heart attacks on my mom’s. The good news is that there are lots of simple ways to lower high blood pressure, naturally. And today I’m going reveal 3 simple pressure points on your body, that will instantly lower your blood pressure. Something important that I want to bring to your attention about today’s topic is that these solutions are for instant results, NOT long-term solutions … which I’ll get to at the end of today’s video. So if you’re feeling stressed or your blood pressure is rising, you can almost instantly and quickly use today’s 3 pressure points to lower your blood pressure and help avoid anything bad from happening. If nothing else, you’ll get instant relief and relaxation. Acupressure Point LI4 LI 4, which stands for “Large Intestine 4”, is an extremely useful acupressure point that is extensively used to treat chronic pain, acute stress and various types of diseases along with treatment for high blood pressure. This point is situated in the webbing between the forefinger and the thumb… right in the middle as you see here. It calms and balances blood flow throughout the body and clears stagnation. As an added benefit, it also boosts your immunity. The most effective way to apply pressure to LI 4 is to slide your thumb along the webbing until you reach the junction of the thumb and index finger bones. How to apply acupressure? Begin by moving your thumb in a small circular rubbing motion over LI 4 for a few seconds. Then you can apply gentle to moderate thumb pressure depending on how sensitive the area feels. If there is any pain, it should be a “good hurt,” not severe or uncomfortable. You can hold the point as long as you are comfortable, up to several minutes. I typically suggest about 20-30 seconds, then take a few second break and then repeat as often as you’d like. PC 6 PC 6 or Pericardium 6 is yet another important acupressure point for treating high blood pressure. It soothes and helps the heart and circulatory system in their proper functioning. This point is also known as the Inner Gate, and it is located on the inner forearm, approximately three finger-widths away from the wrist crease as you see here. This point can be stimulated by applying firm pressure to the point using your index finger or thumb. Again, apply pressure for about 20-30 seconds, then take a break and repeat as needed. G20 The G20 is below the base of your skull, in the hollows on both sides of the neck, between the two vertical neck muscles. Putting pressure here lowers your blood pressure, reduces headaches and stress by relaxing your nervous system. Use your thumbs, fingers, or knuckles to gradually apply pressure into the hollows of your skull. Close your eyes as you tilt your head back slowly. Take long, slow deep breaths as you hold for two to three minutes. Direct the pressure slowly and firmly into the center of your head. Other Acupressure Points Now, there are lots of other acupressure points -- on your feet, arms, legs, and so forth. I picked these 3 areas for lowering your blood pressure because you can do them any where, any place -- they’re easy to access. It’s just your hand, forearm/wrist and the back of your head. Easy access, you can do it yourself and you’ll get fast relief. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. 03:16
Stop Eating These Foods If You Have High Blood Pressure! High blood pressure? One of the most common conditions that one in three adults experience. You probably have someone in your family that suffers from high blood pressure. Nowadays, this condition has gained intense popularity and the number of people who suffer from it rapidly increases. Unfortunately, people can have high blood pressure for years without any symptoms. Even without symptoms, uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause serious health problems such as stroke and heart attack. What Does It Trigger Hypertension? The low intake of fruits vegetables and potassium and a high sodium intake can lead to the onset of this health condition. When having hypertension, you should have a diet low in fats and sodium as well as you should avoid the following foods. 1. Sugar: You may link excessive sugar intake with weight gain and obesity, but it significantly affects the blood pressure. Sugar contributes to obesity, and high blood pressure is a more common condition in people who are overweight and obese. According to the American Heart Association, women should limit the sugar intake to 24 grams or 6 teaspoons on a daily basis. Men should consume no more than 36 grams or 9 teaspoons per day. 2. Pickles: Pickles have a low level of calories and fat but are loaded with vitamin K, an important vitamin which promotes blood clotting after an injury. Unfortunately, pickles are high in sodium. One single pickle contains more than 570 mg of sodium or 1/3 more of the daily recommended dose. Therefore, if you have hypertension, avoid the consummation of pickles. 3. Deli Meat: Processed deli meats are high in sodium. They are seasoned and preserved with high amounts of salt. A 2-ounce serving of these meats has 600mg of sodium. If you add bread, cheese, pickles and condiments, you can quickly become trapped in a sodium bomb. 4. Ramen Noodles: These noodles are a quick to prepare, convenient and inexpensive choice for your meal. However, they not the perfect solution because of the lack of healthy nutrients and components. A package of ramen noodles contains 6grams of saturated fat, 14 grams of fat and 1731 grams of sodium. This amount is 70% more than the daily recommended dose. Also, the flavor packet has most of the sodium, so avoid this particular type of noodles if you want to reduce the sodium intake. 5. Coffee: Coffee can be just another ingredient that you should stay away if you suffer from hypertension. This delicious morning pleasure can cause an instant spike in your blood pressure. Along with coffee, any caffeinated drink such as caffeinated soda or tea can significantly increase your blood pressure. #naturalcures #naturalcuresforhealth #lifewelllived

High Blood Pressure Foods To Avoid And Foods To Eat - A Hypertension Diet Plan

04:11
Certain foods raise your blood pressure - we all know that. But when you ask someone exactly which foods lower blood pressure and which ones increase it, many will just say "it goes up when you eat meat, and down when you eat fruits and vegetables." In a general sense, that right. But many people don't realize that it's not that simple. Food that comes from animals is usually more likely to cause hypertension - high blood pressure - than fruits and vegetables. But even some foods that don't come from animals may contain a lot of certain elements - especially sodium or salt - that affect blood pressure in a negative way. Think potato chips, frozen foods that come in a box (like frozen lasagna), and canned soups, just to name a few. And then there are those fast food french fries we all love. This video offers the basics of a high blood pressure diet plan, spelling out foods to avoid and foods to eat to keep your blood pressure in a normal range. This video is intended for the general public - not for medical professionals. It's meant to provide basic and introductory information about hypertension. If you think your blood pressure is too high, you should see your doctor, and rely solely on his or her diagnosis and advice.

What Will Happen If You Eat Nothing for 7 Days

10:52
How to Fast. What if you decided to quit eating for an entire week? Would it be dangerous for your body? Nowadays, many people prefer to stick to periodical water fasting, so they don't consume any food and drink apart from water. Water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and you should consult with a doctor beforehand. Among its benefits are lower blood pressure, improved insulin and leptin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss. The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. As you plan your 7-day water fasting, try to pick a low-stress time in your life. Doing this during exam season or when you're moving house isn't the best time. TIMESTAMPS What will happen to your body if you stop eating 0:58 What will happen after the first 6 hours 1:59 What will happen after 3 days 2:47 What will happen after a week 3:29 What will happen after a month or up to 70 days 3:46 What is water fasting 4:52 What is intermittent fasting 6:00 How to perform a water fast 7:31 What to do after you’re done with fasting 9:22 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -For the first 6 hours of your “no food” period, everything's going to be just fine. -After 6 hours, your body begins to starve since there's not enough glucose in your blood. -After 3 “no food” days, your brain goes to another extreme and starts to break down your body's protein. This happens because proteins release amino acids, which can be converted into the glucose your body so desperately needs. -After one “no food” week, your immune system becomes extremely weak because it isn’t receiving any vitamins or minerals. -Starvation may lead to death after almost a month or up to 70 days. -There's one rule when it comes to water fasting: you don't consume any food and drink apart from water. According to specialists, water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and a consultation with a doctor beforehand is obligatory. -If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period. -The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. Listen to your body carefully during your first water fasting. -When you're done with your fasting, you should break it slowly. Easily digested foods like soups, juices, pureed fruit, white rice, and mashed potatoes are the best products for your first 2 days. It will help prevent low blood pressure and also help to raise the blood pressure level instantly. How I Stopped 3 Blood Pressure Medications: Wheat-Free

07:43
“I’m convinced that it (wheat) is not human food. These grasses are not what we evolved eating.” Schedule at http://MetabolicCoaching.NET. Local & Online Distance Metabolic Coaching Available. Join us for our monthly webinar or weekly local courses! And Mark says, “I’m real happy that I don’t eat wheat any more. I recommend it to everybody!” Why??? Mark Hall is an MD, a pediatrician. A couple of years ago I mentioned to him that our family was “wheat-free” and “gluten free” because of my sons allergies. Since he’s a pediatrician, I though this might benefit some of his patients, children with chronic allergies, eczema and asthma. From that point, Dr. Hall started doing his own research into the benefits of a wheat-free lifestyle with amazing results. He was able to get off of all three of his high blood pressure medications. And 20 years of chronic back pain finally stopped. How long did this amazing health transformation take? “About 6 weeks,” Mark recalls. As a pediatrician, Dr. Hall says, “I think I’ve always thought nutrition was important to some degree, and I’ve frequently told patients that. But I really had no idea (how important),” because there is not that much training on diet in medical school. “I ate reasonably healthy, meaning getting some fruits and vegetables in my diet but I didn’t pay any attention beyond that.” And then things changed… Mark and I had a short conversation about our family being wheat-free and gluten-free. What did he think? He says, “I thought it was a little odd when you first mentioned it (being a wheat-free house), because I hadn’t hear anything about that… But it made me curious. So I looked into it and picked a copy of the book ’Wheat Belly.’ It was very convincing and illuminating.“ “We are all at risk for heart disease. And it sounds like if you eat wheat: if you’re going to have a heart attack, you’re going to have it sooner, if you’re going to get Alzheimer’s disease, you’re going to get it sooner - if you’r eating something (wheat) that is that inflammatory.” What happened when he stopped eating wheat? CHRONIC BACK PAIN - GONE Dr. Hall says, “So I decided to stop eating wheat. And about 6 weeks later, I noticed the back pain I had had for decades was easing up, and just went away entirely. I had had a couple of minor car wrecks several decades ago. I wasn’t seriously injured, but i jacked up my back. And it hurt a little bit every day - sometimes quite a bit. But it just stopped! That constant input of something that was causing inflammation (wheat and gluten), having had it withdrawn finally allowed it to stop being irritated.” HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE - GONE And he continues, “But then I noticed my blood pressure was dropping. Every day I was at work… I would have one of my nurses take my blood pressure, and it was always elevated. I was on three different medications for it. But it was still, on a good day, 150/90… I was just willing it to be lower. I didn’t want to be on more medication. But it started, once again, 6 or 7 weeks after not eating wheat, it started dropping more and more - like systolic in the 90’s and diastolic in the 50’s. And it took me another week to put it together. I stopped taking my (blood pressure) medicines altogether. And the systolics were between 100 and 120, and diastolic anywhere between 60 and 80. And it stayed that way.” So what caused Mark’s 20 years of back pain to resolve? What caused his chronic blood pressure requiring 3 medications to resolve? In his word, it was “All from not eating wheat.” Although it might sound “inconvenient” to eat a wheat-free, gluten-free diet in our society where hamburgers, sandwiches and bread are everywhere, Mark says, “It’s not convenient to have back pain every day. It’s not convenient to have to put medications into your body to counteract the effects of that wheat - like blood pressure medications, or whatever.” Who does Dr. Hall believe could benefit from a wheat-free diet like we teach at Metabolic Coaching? “Anybody that’s breathing.” That about sums it up! PS - Mark lost 15 pounds! 7 Natural ways to lower your blood pressure

03:52
7 Natural ways to lower your blood pressure High blood pressure is also called hypertension. Two factors contribute to high blood pressure: the quantity of blood your heart pumps and how narrow your arteries are. High blood pressure raises your risk of heart problems and strokes. Most people have no symptoms, so the best way to detect it is to get screened during a checkup at your doctor’s office at least every year. If you do have high blood pressure, there are some dietary and lifestyle changes that can help you lower your blood pressure 1. Reduce sodium in your diet Foods high in sodium include table-salt, sauces, salad-dressings, bacon, pickles, snacks, fast-foods, canned-foods, etc. Even a small reduction in the sodium in your diet can reduce blood pressure by 2 to 8 millimeter of mercury. The effect of sodium intake on blood pressure varies among groups of people. In general, limit sodium to less than 2,300 milligrams a day or less. 2. Reduce your stress Chronic stress is an important contributor to high blood pressure. Occasional stress also can contribute to high blood pressure if you react to stress by eating unhealthy food, drinking alcohol or smoking. Take some time to think about what causes you to feel stressed, such as work, family, finances or illness. Once you know what's causing your stress, consider how you can eliminate or reduce stress. If you can't eliminate all of your stressors, you can at least cope with them in a healthier way. 3. Exercise regularly Regular physical activity at least 30 minutes most days of the week can lower your blood pressure by 4 to 9 millimeters of mercury. It's important to be consistent because if you stop exercising, your blood pressure can rise again. If you have slightly high blood pressure (prehypertension), exercise can help you avoid developing full-blown hypertension. If you already have hypertension, regular physical activity can bring your blood pressure down to safer levels. 4.Eat a healthy diet Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 millimeters of mercury. This eating plan is known as the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. 5. Supplement your diet with nuts, seeds, and legumes. They are relatively high in fat, but they also have magnesium, potassium, fiber, and protein. Because of this, the DASH-Diet (Dietary-Approaches-to-Stop-Hypertension) recommends eating only four or five servings per week. 1 serving is 1/3 of a cup of nuts. 6.Restrict your sugar consumption. Processed sugars add calories to your diet without providing you with the nutrients that will make you feel satisfied. Reduce your consumption of sweets to, at most, five per week. A serving is a tablespoon of sugar or jelly 7. Monitor your blood pressure at home and see your doctor regularly Home monitoring can help you keep tabs on your blood pressure, make certain your lifestyle changes are working, and alert you and your doctor to potential health complications. How To Reduce High Blood Pressure Naturally | How To Prevent High Blood Pressure Naturally

How To Reduce Blood Pressure | How To Prevent Blood Pressure | How To Lower High Blood Pressure | Lifestyle | Diet Hey, guys! This weeks video is about high blood pressure and how you can prevent getting it with simple yet effective lifestyle changes. Healthcare professionals refer to high blood pressure as the silent killer and for a good reason! High blood pressure increases risks of many diseases and shortens your life significantly. WHAT IS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) and is given as two figures: Systolic pressure – The pressure when your heart pushes blood out. Diastolic pressure – The pressure when your heart rests between beats. As a general guide: High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher (or an average of 135/85mmHg at home) Ideal blood pressure is considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg Low blood pressure is considered to be 90/60mmHg or lower. A blood pressure reading between 120/80mmHg and 140/90mmHg could mean you're at risk of developing high blood pressure if you don't take steps to keep your blood pressure under control. HOW TO PREVENT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: High blood pressure can often be prevented or reduced by eating healthily, maintaining a healthy weight, taking regular exercise, drinking alcohol in moderation and not smoking. SALT & DIET: Cut down on the amount of salt in your food and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. The NHS Eatwell Guide highlights the different types of food that make up our diet, and shows the proportions we should eat them in to have a well-balanced and healthy diet. Salt raises your blood pressure. The more salt you eat, the higher your blood pressure. Aim to eat less than 6g (0.2oz) of salt a day, which is about a teaspoonful. Eating a low-fat diet that includes lots of fibre – such as wholegrain rice, bread and pasta – and plenty of fruit and vegetables also helps lower blood pressure. Aim to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Eatwell guide link: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/the-eatwell-guide.aspx ALCOHOL INTAKE: Regularly drinking alcohol above recommended limits can raise your blood pressure over time. Staying within these recommended levels is the best way to reduce your risk of developing high blood pressure: Men and women are advised not to regularly drink more than 14 units a week. Spread your drinking over three days or more if you drink as much as 14 units a week. Find out how many units are in your favourite drink and get tips on cutting down: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/alcohol/Pages/alcohol-units.aspx GET ACTIVE & LOSE WEIGHT: Being active and taking regular exercise lowers blood pressure by keeping your heart and blood vessels in good condition. Regular exercise can also help you lose weight, which will also help lower your blood pressure. Adults should do at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity such as cycling or fast walking every week. CUT DOWN CAFFEINE: Drinking more than four cups of coffee a day may increase your blood pressure. If you're a big fan of coffee, tea or other caffeine-rich drinks, such as cola and some energy drinks, consider cutting down. STOP SMOKING: Smoking doesn't directly cause high blood pressure, but it puts you at much higher risk of a heart attack and stroke. Smoking, like high blood pressure, will cause your arteries to narrow. If you smoke and have high blood pressure, your arteries will narrow much more quickly, and your risk of heart or lung disease in the future is dramatically increased. SLEEP: Long-term sleep deprivation is associated with a rise in blood pressure and an increased risk of hypertension. It's a good idea to try to get at least six hours of sleep a night if you can. Lower Your High Blood Pressure by Eating Salad

00:49
http://how-to-lower-your-blood-pressure.com/?page_id=47 Lower your high blood pressure by drizzling olive oil over your salad leaves. New research by King's College in London suggests that tossing your salad lettuce in olive oil and adding a sprinkling of nuts and avocado boosts heart health and lowers your blood pressure. The addition of unsaturated fat in olive oil makes salad leaves particularly healthy. How does it work? The reasoning behind the finding put me in mind of the late celebrity TV chef, Philip Harben. Harben went beyond demonstrating his recipes and explained to his television audience why it was that they worked. He explained the chemistry of cooking. When foods are eaten together a chemical reaction occurs in stomach. William Hay, the inventor of food combining in the 1920's, understood this and used it as the basis of his dietary program. The addition of unsaturated fat in olive oil causes salad leaves to make compounds called nitro fatty acids which react in the stomach with an enzyme to lower our high blood pressure. There are two essential ingredients for the chemical reaction to occur. They are: # 1 Unsaturated fats Unsaturated fats are found in:: olive oil; nuts such as walnuts, almonds, cashew, hazelnuts, macadamia and pecans; avocados; and oily fish such as salmon, trout, mackerel, fresh tuna, herring, pilchards, swordfish and sardines # 2. Compounds called nitrites and nitrates Nitrites are found in high levels in many salad vegetables including: lettuce; spinach; celery; carrots; and beetroot. A study into the beneficial effects of drinking beetroot juice also concluded that it was the nitro fatty acids reacting in the stomach with an enzyme that helped to reduce hypertension. The King's College study could help explain why the so-called Mediterranean diet is good for the heart, despite followers eating large amounts of olive oil and other fats and helps to explain why previous research has shown that a Mediterranean diet supplemented with extra-virgin olive oil, or nuts can reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems like stroke, heart failure and heart attacks. http://youtu.be/8yFzIU8IRnc Most dietary advice for those of us with hypertension focuses on having a healthy balanced diet containing a variety of fruits and vegetables. The basis of this advice is that it ensures we get all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need together with adequate amounts of dietary fibre necessary to keep or bodies functioning properly. The King's College study and the study into beetroot juice, amongst other research, as well as the Dietary Approaches to Stopping Hypertension (DASH Diet) not only confirm that having a healthy balanced diet is essential to lowering high blood pressure, but like Philp Harben all those years ago, it is explaining the chemistry of why it reduces our hypertension. I have high blood pressure. I reduced my hypertension to normal levels naturally. If I can do it, so can you. Find out how I did it at http://how-to-lower-your-blood-pressure.com/?page_id=47.
