How to Build a Copper Moonshine Still - Part 1 - 2018

Part 2 - https://youtu.be/Mi44Rc7cqOk Part 3 - https://youtu.be/9XZwG9DVKek Part 4 - https://youtu.be/MK9I4zUR9MI Part 5 - https://youtu.be/co5qIvGkQIs Part 6 - https://youtu.be/Hbvb2kmwZl0 Part 7 - https://youtu.be/0x8uhVUnPLw How to Build a Copper Moonshine Still, Part 1, Safety and Tools. You’ll need a pair of safety gloves. I’m using heavy duty welding gloves. This will keep your hands safe when you’re soldering and handling the copper still parts. You’ll need to work in a well ventilated area and we would also suggest wearing a VOC mask. And you’ll want to wear some safety glasses to protect your eyes. Ok, so as far as the tools go, you don’t need anything fancy, and you could definitely get away with less stuff than we’re using here. At a bare minimum you’ll need a plumbing torch. Only use propane gas to solder the copper parts. Do not use map gas or oxy acetelyne - Those will get the parts too hot. Use propane only. I’m using a benzomatic 8000 torch head but this is overkill. I’d suggest buying a benzomatic WT2301 basic self light torch if you don’t have one already. They only cost 15 bucks on amazon. OK, this is very important. Only use water soluble plumbing grade flux. Also, you must use LEAD FREE plumbing solder. In fact, you can buy both of these on our site and i’d suggest that you do so to make sure you’re using the right stuff. While you’re there, pick up a couple of flux brushes. You’ll need something to manually clean the copper still parts with. A wire brush and sandpaper will do the trick. 120 grit is what i’m using here. You’ll need a basic pair of pliers to bend the tabs on the copper still boiler. You’ll need some sort of locking pliers or a small clamp. A small hammer will be required to install the rivets. Ball peen hammers work great for this. A dolly, a random hunk of metal, or even another hammer, like a sledgehammer head will be needed for setting the rivets. An anvil is handy as well, but it isn’t a necessary item. Though, if you don’t have one, you might ask yourself why not. They look cool as hell and can be used for all sorts of stuff. Also, a vice isn’t necessary, but really comes in handy when soldering the copper column and condenser. This is another one of those basic items that everyone should own anyway, so consider picking up a small vice if you don’t have one already. Like i said, you can build a copper still with less stuff than this, but these are the tools i’ll be using in this video. OK, in the next video on making a copper still, we’re going to talk about the actual still parts.

How to Build a Copper Moonshine Still - Part 3 - 2018

Part 1 - https://youtu.be/rexPViSDaJs Part 2 - https://youtu.be/Mi44Rc7cqOk Part 4 - https://youtu.be/MK9I4zUR9MI Part 5 - https://youtu.be/co5qIvGkQIs Part 6 - https://youtu.be/Hbvb2kmwZl0 Part 7 - https://youtu.be/0x8uhVUnPLw This is part 3 of our series on how to build a copper still, also sometimes called a “moonshine” still. The first step in building your still would be to clean the burrs off of the edges of the parts. At least one side of the copper will have a burr on it, but sometimes both. These parts are computer designed and they’re machine cut. They’ll fit together absolutely perfectly if you have everything clean before you start. Alright, so the next step will be to remove any oxidation from the edges that will be soldered together. Just hit it again with the sandpaper but this time I’m concentrating on the flat surface of the copper and not the edge.

When making a copper still you’ll need the following: (2) 90 degree, half inch street elbows; (2) ½ by ½ by ¾ tees; (1) 45 degree coupling; (2) small pieces of half inch copper tubing; (1) larger piece of ½ inch tubing; (1) piece of ¾ tubing; A long piece of 1 ½ inch tubing; An inch and a half to half inch reducer coupling; Some solid copper rivets; (1) large rectangle for the still boiler wall; (1) thin rectangular piece of copper for the collar A “C shaped” piece to serve as the still’s vapor cone (1) slightly tapered piece of copper for the cap skirt, which i have here; And 1 circular boiler bottom (by the way, all of this should be c-110, food grade copper); And the last thing you’ll need is 1 cap plate, which is actually thicker than the rest of the copper. In the next video we’re going to talk about the extremely important process of cleaning the still parts before assembly.

homebrew - Making 26% alcohol is eaaasy!

05:45
I love this stuff. I've been doing this since I learned how yeasts anearobically ferment. Every kind of alcohol gives a different drunk, homebrew is unique. You can also use fining agents (e.g. gelatine) to get rid of the debris at the end. It may take a couple of rounds of cooling/decanting to get rid of it. please drink responsibly and follow your local and federal laws. I cannot be held responsible for any misuse of this video for excessive intoxication or illegal activity. Proceed at your own risk. I also highly recommend not to alter this process so as to attempt an increase in alcohol percent (e.g. distilling) as it may yield poisonous levels of methanol. This video is for scientific education purposes to demonstrate the applications of anaerobic fermentation. download the written instructions here: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B0Din0Zhz7aKMDE4OGJkMzMtN2QzNi00YjU0LWI2YTYtODY1OGM5ZGI0ZmQ3&hl=en

This distiller can be used to make distilled water and essential oils. With the proper permits it capable of distilling fuel alcohol, and even spirits such as vodka, gin, Bourbon, whiskey, and "moonshine." In this video we solder the vapor cone together. We attach the vapor cone to the boiler. And we build the cap plate and cap skirt assembly for the column and condenser.

How to Build a Copper Moonshine Still - Part 4 - 2018

07:28
Part 1 - https://youtu.be/rexPViSDaJs Part 2 - https://youtu.be/Mi44Rc7cqOk Part 3 - https://youtu.be/9XZwG9DVKek Part 5 - https://youtu.be/co5qIvGkQIs Part 6 - https://youtu.be/Hbvb2kmwZl0 Part 7 - https://youtu.be/0x8uhVUnPLw This is part 4 in our series on how to build a copper still where we will be shaping the boiler. We are going to start by bending the teeth up on the boiler. I should mention that these types of stills, small copper distillers, are often sometimes called moonshine stills. They can be used, though, to distill all kinds of products such as distilled water, essential oils, fuel alcohol, and distilled spirits (of course with the proper permits on the latter two). So we will bend the tabs up with the pliers by very meticulously grabbing each tab and just bending it upwards so it sits at a final resting place of about 90 degrees to the boiler. You want to grab the tab right where it meets the boiler and just bend it up. If you have a pair of sheet metal pliers it will make this job go a lot faster. I have some but I figure most folks won't so I just went ahead and did this with a regular pair of pliers. Like I said, it takes a bit longer but you get the job done just the same.

Video #385: How to make alcohol ink for using with your polymer clay and other mixed media projects. By Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutor: http://www.beadsandbeading.com/blog/?p=17068 Topics Covered In This Video: - Commercial alcohol inks such as the Adirondack line from Ranger, have been used with polymer clay for a long time. - Here are links to a couple of examples of my previous PcT tutorials that use the Adirondack Inks... (1) Glow in the Dark Jelly Roll Cane (the earrings I show in the video)... http://www.beadsandbeading.com/blog/jellyroll-cane-psychedelic-glow-in-the-dark/8609/ (2) Red Clover Flower Beads, but there are many more... http://www.beadsandbeading.com/blog/red-clover-flower-beads-polymer-clay-tutorial/15155/ - Some people find commercial alcohol inks to be expensive and want to learn to make their own. - Homemade alcohol ink is very cheap when you look at the amount you can make with each box of dye. - Homemade Alcohol Ink Recipe: 1 part Rit Dye (powdered or liquid. I used 1/2 teaspoon for my 1 part) 6 parts 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol) 2 parts Water (for liquid dye only) - Stir until mixed (the powdered dye will still have salts in the bottom and the liquid dye will still have some clumps of unmixed dye.) - Use a clean unused coffee filter to filter out solids if desired. - Use your homemade alcohol inks like you would use any other commercially made alcohol inks. - Homemade alcohol inks aren't as concentrated as commercial brands. - Colors are not as vibrant in/on polymer clay as they are on paper. - Color is stable when baked in polymer clay. - Although the homemade version is much cheaper by volume, it will cost you about the same on a per color basis if you only use small quantities. - I prefer the commercial brands of alcohol inks such as Ranger's Adirondack Alcohol Ink, because... the colors are more concentrated and vibrant on polymer clay... there are more colors... making homemade inks yourself, is a messy job... and since the bottles last "forever," I don't mind if they are a little more expensive than the homemade version. - The homemade alcohol ink may be a good choice for schools or guilds because the price is much cheaper by volume. - One of the most shared articles from our blog onto Pinterest, is an old article called, Alcohol Ink Techniques and Recipes for Polymer Clay Artists. It contains lots of information about making alcohol inks using fabric dyes... http://www.beadsandbeading.com/blog/alcohol-ink-techniques-recipes/95/ - If you enjoyed this video, please do click the LIKE button. Simple Solar Still

03:50
Here is a simple solar powered still, which can be used to distill water, alcohol, chemicals, and solvents. It is also great for the 'mad scientist' who wants to build his/her crazy science experiments in the house, but would like to contain any noxious fumes from gagging the unsuspecting bystanders living in the abode as well or from keeping bug and leaves and dust from contaminating thier exeperiments. With and incandescent light bulb, it can be powered on rainy days as well. In this video I show how to use this handy little device inside with artificial 'sun light' to purify some chemicals I am planning to use in an interesting up coming experiment for an alternative energy project. It should be very interesting to say the least..

Let's make homemade Alcohol - Easy & Cheap

11:52
I have been watching a bunch of videos on Youtube on this and started checking out Google for ideas as well . This all started from watching one of my favorite Youtube Chanel's . He has great videos ( Take a look and see for yourself ) DoingItCheap - https://www.youtube.com/user/DoingItCheap/videos I started off making a Sugar wash with Cinnamon and a little applesauce for more food for the yeast - If you never made alcohol ... Yeast eats the sugar and shits out alcohol . LOL I also made a easy to make bubbler for the air that builds up in the wash ( I explain how i made it in the video ) I will keep this going until no more bubbles , and the yeast falls to the bottom . Then i will post another video with the steps i take to make it stronger and better tasting . This is my first time trying this and i do not have a still , But i will use a freezer method to purify and get more alcohol from it . Thanks for watching ... Any questions or comments leave them below , I will get to you as fast as i can .

$10 Homemade Gun Sniper Rifle - alcohol powered)

Alcohol Gun - The Main material of this Gun is PVC pipe. I also used some screws, metal sheets, wires and electric igniter. The Tank came from a spray paint. The Igniter is connected to the wire that goes in the tank that has two pointed screws inside lined up with a 1 cm gap, the gap is where the electric spark travel, the spark created by the igniter Ignites the alcohol inside making a loud explosion.. Homemade still part7 alcohol spirits first 60ml catch(toxic).AVI

00:38
This was the first drops that came from the still at about 70 degrees centigrade and dripped faster at about 76 degrees centigrade, caught about 100ml (92persent alcohol in it) and keep it for cleaning as it is toxic for consumption. I started to catch the rest of the foreshots of the good stuff at a constant good flow at about 85 degrees centigrade (Wash was only 11 Litres) got two 700 ml bottle of the good alchol or spirit out before the tails came out into the 3rd bottle and smelled like cardboard , keeping the tails for the next stilling process and redistill it again . (The wash was at 18 percent alcohol)(4kg sugar and half a packet Alcotec 48 yeast and water to 11 litre mark) fermented for 5 days.Spirits average of 75 percent between the to bottles then filter and thin down with springwater.

How To Make A Soup Can Stove

08:16
In this video I show how to make and use my favorite soup can camp stove. Be sure to check out my sponsor for this video, Blue Apron! First 100 people to sign up will get three meals off their Blue Apron order free! Click here: http://cook.ba/2wsa0HY The stove in this video is an excellent little wood stove that burns fuel cleanly, and unlike DIY alcohol stoves can burn for long periods of time without needing to be extinguished to refuel. I also prefer wood stoves over alcohol because you don't need to carry fuel with you, sticks are a renewable resource you can find almost anywhere. My DIY pot stand is composed of three steel wires, each with a 90 degree bend on both sides. There are also three sections of steel tubing (brake line) that are the legs of the stand. The bend in the wires are inserted into the legs to make a triangle shape between the three. It's a very stable design. You may notice I crimped the legs around the wires so that they are a tighter fit but this is not necessary. Here is another pot stand in this same design: https://youtu.be/uTabyy59Q1Y This was a sponsored video so those of you who support my channel through Patreon don't need to worry about a contribution being taken for this one. Thank you for your support! On every video that is not sponsored your Patreon support really makes a huge difference to know I can feel free to make the video in a way that people will like, and I don't need to worry about if it's going to earn enough money to pay for itself.
