Dining Table

The particular structure is for the lovers of natural wood in combination with metal that we used to create a dinner table. This dinner table is distinctive due to the large sizes of the materials used as well as for the metallic frame and the pieces of wood. 🌟SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/MakeitExtreme • All details: http://bit.ly/1smtKd6 • Help us on patreon: http://bit.ly/MiEPatreon Social Media: • Facebook: http://bit.ly/Makeitextreme • Instagram: http://bit.ly/makeitextreme • Google+: http://bit.ly/MakeItExtreme Other Projects: • DIY Sandblaster: http://bit.ly/1U1GrQI • DIY Spot Welder: http://bit.ly/1Z5R9d2 • Jet propane torch: http://bit.ly/29jdy5Z • DIY Barbecue Table: http://bit.ly/27VV2HA • Metal Melting Furnace: http://bit.ly/29HbKXe • Plasma cutter circle tool: http://bit.ly/1sD6erQ • Homemade Metal Bender: http://bit.ly/1WQZHGO • Make it Extreme's Workbench: http://bit.ly/2aaG9ut • Making a hoverboard from Junk: http://bit.ly/2a9b1bB Angle Grinder Hack Videos: •Hack 1: http://bit.ly/25r51WF •Hack 2: http://bit.ly/22rrtK2 •Hack 3: http://bit.ly/1OSzzn4 •Hack 4: http://bit.ly/2aP8A3X •Hack 5: http://bit.ly/2k2P5HS • Playlist for all videos ► http://bit.ly/1qQ06eE • Intro Design ► http://cyprusgraphics.com/ ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ 🌟http://bit.ly/MakeitExtreme🌟

How to build a Farmhouse Table - The Most Complete Video Online - Episode 7

18:44
The most complete and in-depth video on how to build a farmhouse table. DIY PETE shows the entire process from start to finish. This farm table can be built out of everyday construction grade lumber for under $200. *Please NOTE: While my table has held up well and had only a small amount of movement after 2 1/2 years, there are certainly things I would do differently with more experience under my belt. For beginners, I'd recommend using biscuits and glue for the top planks. Dowels or floating tenons/dominos are another option. Do make sure to let the wood properly dry. Plans are based off Ana-White's build geared towards beginning DIY'ers. Pocket holes are a simple way to connect boards, but if you do have access to a biscuit joiner or are capable of more advanced joinery please go for it. For more info, project photos, and downloadable plans check out: http://www.DIYPETE.com/farmhousetable Benches: http://ana-white.com/2013/10/plans/4x4-truss-benches *Note that these are affiliate links, meaning that when you buy something that is recommended below, it helps support the Channel. Thanks in advance! *Tools Needed Power Drill - http://amzn.to/1OxMfnt 12″ Miter Saw - http://amzn.to/1VUVo8s Kreg Jig - http://amzn.to/1X7Bd9H Orbital Sander - http://amzn.to/1VUVNYy Clamps - http://amzn.to/1LwiDEs *Supplies Needed 2 1/2 inch Kreg Screws - http://amzn.to/1VUVPzF 6 inch Torq Screws - Need about 40 - 4.5 inch Torq Screws - Need about 20 2.5 inch Torq Screws - Need about 20 Stain ( or White Vinegar / Steel Wool ) You’ll need to buy 4×4, 2×10, and 2×4 boards for this project. These boards can be found at your local lumber yard. Take your time to find quality boards that are straight and have little warp. First, I built the table top out of 2x10s. I used 5 2×10’s for the main part of the table and a 2×10 for each breadboard end. Ana’s plans call for four main boards, but I wanted a little larger area to spread out. I used a 12″ miter saw to make all of the cuts. I cut the 5 boards to 69 inches long. Here is a look at the table top. A 2×10 board is actually 9 1/4 inches wide. The total dimensions of the top are 46 1/4 inches by 87 1/2 inches. Set the Kreg Jig at the 1 1/2 inch setting for the stock thickness. (My video says 2 1/2 inch setting but I meant to say 1 1/2 inch.) You’ll attach each board using the 2.5 inch long Kreg Jig screws. It helps to clamp the boards to each other and use a little body weight to get the boards even with each other. Drill two pocket holes on the ends of each board as well. They will be used to connect the main boards to the breadboard. I had to modify the width of the base a bit so that it fit the wider table top. I built the two ends out of 4×4’s. I used 6″ long torq screws (also known as star pattern screws or leg screws) to connect them (about 3 for each joint). The two vertical boards are cut at 10 degree angles (parallel to each other). Connect the two ends together with the 4×4 horizontal beams on top and bottom. I didn’t have an extra set up hands to help me, so I used Jack Clamps to help hold everything up while I tied the boards together with 6″ torq screws. Attach the base to the top using 4.5″ torq screws through the 4×4 beams. Use 2 inch torq screws to connect the 2×4 to the table top. (I counter sunk mine a bit). Here is a look at the completed table prior to staining and sealing the piece. I also created matching benches to fit this table. The plans can be found by clicking here. I modified the width so they are a total of 69″ wide. Instead of using a 2×10 for the breadboards I use 2×8’s. Everything else was kept the same as Ana’s plans. The inside span of my table where the benches fit in is 73″ so that left 2 inches of wiggle room on each side of the bench so it can easily slide in and out. The next step is to make the table unique to you. I decided to distress the farm table by using tools around the shop to make the table look worn. I used nails to create wormhole marks and a circular saw blade and hammer to put some character into the table. I used a #00 Steel Wool and White Vinegar solution to patina the wood and give it an aged look. Put a good handful of steel wool in a jar and add white vinegar. Let the vinegar dilute the steel wool for at least 3 to 4 days. The mixture will get darker the longer you let it sit. I let mine sit for a full week. Once diluted, simply brush the mixture on your piece. Oxidation will occur as the mixture reacts with the tannins in the wood to give it variations in color. How to Make a Concrete Dining Table

12:36
DIY Concrete Dining Table how to video tutorial. This is an excellent DIY concrete project for beginners and the more experienced alike! This clean, modern, minimalist design approach will look great in your dining room. This project doesn’t take that long to make and is attainable by anyone if you follow this step-by-step tutorial. Best of luck on yours! This particular 1 1/2″ concrete top weighs about 370 pounds total. For more info, project photos, and downloadable plans check out: http://www.diypete.com/ConcreteDiningTable Download Plans: http://gumroad.com/l/ConcreteDiningTable *Note that these are affiliate links, meaning that when you buy something that is recommended below, it helps support the Channel. This is the cost for the concrete, wood, wood finish, concrete sealer, and other basic supplies. This estimate considers you’re using Quikrete 5000 as a more affordable option. I bought my chairs at World Market, and you can find similar chairs on their website by clicking here - http://bit.ly/1MXOKt7 Assemble Melamine Form You should set that large, bottom piece of the melamine form on a flat, level work surface. With melamine forms, you’ll want to be sure to keep it very clean and make sure there are no imperfections or chipping in any of the boards. Whatever faces the inside of the form will translate onto the concrete top after it’s poured. We’ll assemble the sides with 1 ½ wood screws. Be sure to pre drill all holes before adding the screws and make sure everything is square, level, and flush when you’re screwing it together. Don’t add wood glue to the sides of the melamine form, because we’ll need to easily deconstruct it later. Pour Concrete into Form After mixing up the tubs concrete and getting it to a consistency that is peanut-butter-like, then we’ll add it to the form. Wear gloves for this process, spread the concrete evenly in the form and fill it about ⅔ full. Once you’ve reached ⅔ and have spread all of the concrete out evenly, we’ll add the piece of rebar reinforcement to the form. Place it into place and keep adding more concrete to fill it to the top of the form. Screed, Trowel, and Let Cure Once you’ve filled the form with your concrete mixture, we’ll want to level and smooth it all out. Using a scrap 2×4 piece of wood will work fine for the level and screeding of the concrete. Scrape the board from one side of the form to the other in a back-and-forth motion, scraping excess concrete out of the form and working it into low spots. Then we can vibrate the concrete either with a mallet, reciprocating saw (without the blade in), or orbital sander. Spend some time vibrating the concrete. Then trowel it all with a clean trowel and cover the whole concrete top with a plastic cover to help it cure evenly. Let the concrete cure and dry for the manufacturers recommended time. Once it has hardened slightly, you can come through and do a hard trowel of the bottom. Refer to the video for more information about this technique. Build the Base Legs Once you’ve poured your concrete and it is taking the necessary time it needs to cure, then we’ll move onto building the wood base. The wood base is a modern, simple design and should not take that long to build. Refer to the cut list in the plans for help in deciphering which base pieces go where. Your base basically consists of two 4×4 constructed boxes on each end and three 4×4 support stretchers running between the top of the boxes. When putting the joints together with the torx screws, be sure to pre drill to avoid any splitting of the wood. Also, generously add wood glue to the joint to ensure security and strength...more at http://www.diypete.com/ConcreteDiningTable ---- Looking for more DIY videos? Dining Chair

07:00
You might recall the Gaming Dining Table I built in 2015 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il_PcMIaSwc). Ever since then, Nicole has been asking repeatedly, "When do I get my chairs?" So I started designing a new chair that I'd eventually batch out for a total of six. I did this as a Guild project where I discuss the details of my design and prototyping process. With the help of my fellow Guild members, the prototype was improved upon and the final six chairs were completed. If you want to get the plans for this project and get immediate access to all 17 videos, you can do so here: https://thewoodwhispererguild.com/product/dining-chair/ The video I've assembled here is a quick look at the process of designing and building the chair. I hope you enjoy! While my chairs will sit around my dining table, I should mention that these chairs would also look great around the Trestle Table I built earlier this year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijr-2QrzUUY SUBSCRIBE! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=thewoodwhisperer TAKE YOUR WOODWORKING TO THE NEXT LEVEL http://thewoodwhispererguild.com SUPPORT US ON PATREON! http://patreon.com/woodwhisperer CHECK OUT OUR SECOND CHANNEL http://youtube.com/woodwhispereroffcuts CHECK OUT OUR SHOP TOURS http://www.thewoodwhisperer.com/shop-tours/ GET INSPIRED BY OUR VIEWER PROJECT LIBRARY http://www.thewoodwhisperer.com/viewer-projects/ DOWNLOAD OUR FREE APP Android: http://bit.ly/1MQ4ks1 or iOS: http://bit.ly/177u4An WIN FREE TOOLS! http://thewoodwhisperer.com/giveaway Follow me on: TWITTER - http://twitter.com/woodwhisperer FACEBOOK - http://facebook.com/thewoodwhisperer INSTAGRAM - https://www.instagram.com/woodwhisperer/ Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/woodwhisperer/

How to Build a DIY Dining Set

03:18
Learn how to build a beautiful dining set with these step by step instructions. Find project details here: http://low.es/1N3xio0 Assemble your table base upside down on a flat surface. After cutting your aprons and legs to size and drilling pocket holes, attach a long and short apron to one leg. The outside face of the leg and the outside face of the aprons should be offset by about 1/4 inch. Use glue and pocket hole screws to secure the parts. Add a second leg to the short apron, followed by the remaining long apron. When those have been secured, add the remaining legs and short apron. Flip the table upright and cut 4 corner braces that will reinforce the leg joint. Glue the braces in each corner and secure with screws. Drill pilot holes and drive screws and washers into each leg. Cut the stretchers to length, drill pocket holes, and install between the long aprons by attaching with pocket screws. Cut the top slats to size, sand, and apply stain and clear finish. Place the two scrap boards in the floor and place the top slats with the best face down on the scraps. Make sure the ends are flush. Center the table base on the slats and secure them with pocket screws. Complete the table by adding furniture glides to the bottom of the legs. To make the bench, make the end assemblies by cutting a 6 degree angle on the top ends of the legs. Place them on your bench with a 1/4 inch spacer between the legs. Center the leg brace on the legs with the bottom flush and trace the angles of the legs onto the brace. Remove the brace, cut the top shape with the jig saw, center the brace back on the legs and secure with screws. Secure a stretcher to one of the leg assemblies with glue and screws. Add the remaining leg and stretcher. Cut the seat slats, sand and finish. Position the first slat on the bench. Secure with pocket screws. Add the second seat slat and screws. Dining Room Table Part 1

09:48
In this video I build the leg assembly for a Walnut dining room table for my wife. I first give a brief overview of the table design and then detail the layout of the joinery and shape of the leg assembly. The leg assembly was a lot of fun to build but the most difficult portion of the build is still to come; the bent lamination rails. To keep up with what I've got going on in the shop, follow me on Instagram - @alabamawoodworker I gained inspiration for this dining table from a Thomas Moser design entitled “American Bungalow Dining Table.” While there are aspects of the Moser design that I incorporated in this dining table, my design is unique. Furthermore, I had Thomas Moser review my drawings with direct permission from him to document this build and call it my own. The dining table features a 42” x 74” table top with a mitered edge. I’m going to try and make the table top as thick as my stock will allow. So anywhere from ¾” to 1”. The apron will extend past the leg assembly and also have mitered corners. I originally wanted 2-sided reverse tapered legs but decided to do 1-sided reverse tapered legs due to stock limitations and to maintain a desirable thickness aspect ratio between the legs and the apron. Lastly, the stretcher assembly will feature bent lamination rails that are joined together by a center stretcher.
