You Think That 120/80 Is a Normal Blood Pressure? You Are Completely Wrong!

02:07
You Think That 120/80 Is a Normal Blood Pressure? You Are Completely Wrong! A lot of people think that 120 over 80 indicates a normal blood pressure and if the blood pressure is higher or lower than this value, the person usually consult his/her physician. However, it appears that the value that has been considered a high blood pressure until now is no longer the case. Namely, according to the ESC Association there are new guidelines according to which a normal blood pressure is 140/90. However, this doesn't apply for diabetics and elder people in who the limit is 130 over 80. Previously, people thought that they have a high blood pressure when their blood pressure is 139/89 and start taking medications. Nonetheless, since this isn't the case anymore, you shouldn't be afraid if your blood pressure has the abovementioned values because it doesn't increase your risk of stroke or heart attack. Low blood pressure is when the systolic blood pressure is less than 90 mmHg or when the diastolic one is less than 60 mmHg. If you have an extremely low blood pressure, that is, less than 80/50 mmHg or if you experience a sudden drop in blood pressure, you need to consult your physician for further tests and treatment. When undiagnosed and left untreated for a longer period of time, both high and low blood pressure can lead to numerous other health problems. Therefore, consult a doctor as soon as possible in order to establish the main reason for your blood pressure problems and then address them adequately and avoid more serious health consequences. ► TOP 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure

07:22
How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart. 🌡 The Best Blood Pressure Levels For Total Health & Longevity

How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure by 23% In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/SeeHowILoweredIt Or you can watch these videos: http://drsam.co/yt/LowerBPNaturally Refferences: 1. Sprint Research Group, Wright JT, Jr., Williamson JD, et al. A Randomized Trial of Intensive versus Standard Blood-Pressure Control. N Engl J Med. 2015;373(22):2103-16. 2. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-pressure/basics/definition/con-20019580. Accessed August 22, 2016. 3. http://www.cdc.gov/bloodpressure/facts.htm. Accessed June 14, 2016. ======================================= 💖 The Best Blood Pressure Levels For Total Health & Longevity ======================================= Linda asks: “Dr. Sam - my blood pressure levels are all over the place and my doctor has me on various drugs to lower it. Before the drugs, I was around 160-180 systolic and with the drugs I’m around 120-150. Sorry, I don’t remember the bottom number. Unfortunately, I feel horrible with the lower blood pressure, shouldn’t I feel better? Honestly, I felt fine with the higher blood pressure. What’s the best BP levels for me?” This is a very important question because ⅓ of adults over the age of 20 have high blood pressure. And the older we get, the worse the numbers become. For example, over 60% of the population over the age of 65 has high blood pressure. For women, it’s even worse because of menopause.2,3 Sadly, 70% of the population doesn’t even know they have high blood pressure, which greatly increases your risk of death by 43%, in addition to other health ailments.2,3 Now, before I get to Linda’s question, here’s a quick chart on blood pressure levels. As you can see, anything in the red that’s over 140/90 is considered “high” blood pressure. The yellow zone is better, but still a problem. Ideal range is in the green, which is LESS than 120/80. I prefer around 110/70. Now, the reason I like it lower is because studies1 have found that lower than 120 mmHG Systolic (top number) caused 43% lower risk of cardiovascular death 38% lower “heart failure” 27% in less deaths 25% lower deaths from “first” heart attacks 17% lower heart attacks 11% lower strokes So lower is better, as long as you feel fine… and preferably done naturally - through specific diet, exercise and supplements. Now, getting back to Linda’s question - she feels worse with the “lower” numbers because of the stupid prescription drugs. So, that’s the first thing I want to point out. Secondly, she stated that she “felt fine” when her levels were higher. This is another problem with high blood pressure. You feel fine because there aren’t any real symptoms. That’s why it’s known as the “silent killer”. So if you want to live longer, lowering your blood pressure levels below 120/80 is a huge benefit and a necessity for total health. I would skip the drugs and try to do it naturally. Below this video, I’ve got a link to another video about how you can quickly and naturally lower your blood pressure levels, so make sure you take a look right now, while it’s fresh on your mind. ======================================== Thank you for watching. 💓 #1 Cause Of High Blood Pressure - Shocking Facts!

06:25
How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/HBPFormula Or the best foods for loweing hypertension: 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGnVNS63NdU Refferences: Sprint Research Group, Wright JT, Jr., Williamson JD, et al. A Randomized Trial of Intensive versus Standard Blood-Pressure Control. N Engl J Med. 2015;373(22):2103-16. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db289.htm https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db263.htm =============================================== 💓 #1 Cause Of High Blood Pressure - Shocking Facts! =============================================== I’ve talked a lot about high blood pressure in the past - causes and solutions. I’ve done this because hypertension is called the “silent killer” because there are no symptoms for it. And of course, high blood pressure can lead to a heart attack or stroke and it’s more of a problem in my opinion, than having “high” cholesterol. Additionally, going from a high blood pressure (over 140/90 mmHg) to normal levels (120/80 mmHG ), let alone to ideal blood pressure levels (115/75 mmHG) dramatically improves your life by1 38% lower risk of heart failure; 43% lower risk of cardiovascular death; 27% lower risk of mortality overall. However, today I’m going to reveal the #1 cause of high blood pressure and NO, it’s not your diet, lack of exercise or stress! It’s because of the negative changes in your hormones, due to AGING! First, take a look at the stats and chart from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) of high blood pressure among adults2 over the age of 18 between 2015-2016 The first bar on the left that’s kinda black, shows the TOTAL number of people who have high blood pressure. Basically, it’s 30% of the population over the age of 18. That’s a lot. What’s worse is that this does NOT take into account PRE-hypertension numbers, which means even more people have “almost” high blood pressure and don’t even know it. The second, gray bar, shows the % from age 18-39. Men are 9.2% and women 5.6%. It’s not much, but the numbers are higher by 2% compared to 2013, just 2-3 years before and their even high in 2018.3 The third, green bar, shows the % for age 40-59. Men are at 37.2% and women 29.4%. This is a MASSIVE jump, up 420% for men and a whopping 525% for women!!! Why such a huge jump all of a sudden?... Because men’s testosterone starts to declined in his late 20’s and even more so in his 30’s. However, there’s a huge drop starting in his 40’s and it’s called “andropause”. And women, they start “menopause” in their 40’s as well, which causes massive negative changes in all their hormones - estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, adrenal and thyroid hormones Finally, the forth, lighter-green bar, shows the % for age 60 and over. Men are 58.5% and women 66.8%. Both age groups are significantly worse. But the women are much worse because the negative changes in hormones because of menopause is more dramatic than men’s “andropause” So What Does This Mean For You? Well, you’re probably thinking “great, there’s nothing I can do. I can’t turn back time, so I guess this is it?!!” No, this just means you have to be more proactive about monitoring and improving your blood pressure levels as you age, especially after the age of 40. Now, the best way to find solutions to problems, is to know the CAUSE of it. So what you need to do is make some simple lifestyle changes and utilize specific nutrients that a more “mature” body needs, because of the changes in hormones, ... so your body can help heal itself naturally, from within. This is the ONLY long-term, safe solution for improving your blood pressure and overall health… and I think you’d agree with this. In fact, this is why there are over 75 different blood pressure drugs with over a dozen different mechanism. This is also why most people with hypertension end up taking on average 2 drugs AT THE SAME TIME, to make improvements. Of course, if you have extremely high blood pressure, such as 180/120, then you MUST take a drug right away to lower it fast and get it under control immediately. YES, lifestyle matters because DIET - what you put in your body (food and liquids), EXERCISE - How much, how often and what kind. STRESS MANAGEMENT - emotional and physical SUPPLEMENTS - herbs, plant extracts, vitamins, minerals and amino acids ======================================== Thank you for watching. 👉 The Most Important Mineral For Instantly Lowering Your Blood Pressure

Best vitamins and herbs clinically proven to lower your blood pressure in just a few days: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/SeeTheList Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/WorstFoodForBP References 1. http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/magnesium-deficiency-symptoms-and-diagnosis 2. http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/31/health/magnesium-deficiency-health/index.html 3. https://www.cdc.gov/dhdsp/data_statistics/fact_sheets/fs_bloodpressure.htm 4. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/311571.php 5. https://nutritionj.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12937-016-0143-3 6. http://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/supplement/magnesium ======================================= 👉 The Most Important Mineral For Instantly Lowering Your Blood Pressure ======================================= Today I’m going to reveal one of the most important minerals for lowering high blood pressure and improving your heart’s health. In fact, research has demonstrated1-3 the vital role this mineral plays in your cardiovascular health, by reducing your risk for hypertension, stroke, heart attack and plaque build-up in your arteries. This invaluable mineral is important to the health of every cell and organ, playing a role in over 600 different reactions in your body. So what mineral am I speaking of?... It’s Magnesium! When magnesium levels are low, you can have major problems in your muscles and organs. Symptoms of a deficiency can include unexplained fatigue or muscle weakness, abnormal heart rhythms, eye twitches, muscle spasms, restlessness, insomnia and even hair loss. It is quite possible to be unaware of a deficiency, which is why it has been dubbed the "invisible deficiency." Some researchers estimate that up to 80% of American do not get enough magnesium from their diet to replace the magnesium lost.(1) I bring this up because studies have shown that less than 25% of US adults are getting the minimum requirements for magnesium - which is only about 300 mgs for women and 400 mgs for men.(2) Magnesium & Blood Pressure I could go on and on about the importance of Magnesium, but I hope you get the point. However, today I want to focus on lowering your blood pressure. If you didn’t already know, 1 out of 3 Americans (33%) suffer from high blood pressure (hypertension).3 … which can increase your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Sadly, ½ of these people don’t even know they have hypertension and less than 20% have this under control.(3) In fact, having high blood pressure is known as the “silent killer” because there are no real symptoms. Other than getting your blood pressure tested regularly, it’s hard to tell if yours will be elevated or if it’s normal. However, the good news is that in a clinical study5, people who had the highest levels of serum magnesium, had a 48% lower risk of hypertension 69% lower risk of type 2 diabetes 42% lower risk for CAC, which is the hardening of your arteries. All very positive for your heart and overall health. Better Than A Drug? One type of drug prescribed for hypertension are “calcium channel blockers”. These are medicines which relax and widen blood vessels, therefore allowing the blood to flow through the blood vessels smoothly, lowering blood pressure. The good news is that magnesium acts like a calcium channel blocker, easing blood vessel flow and lowering blood pressure – naturally, without any synthetic drugs. It was found in a human clinical study6 of more than 8,500 people that a higher intake of magnesium may decrease the risk of high blood pressure. Where To Get Your Magnesium From Unfortunately, getting optimal magnesium levels can be difficult because most foods are depleted of vitamins and mineral. And most supplements of magnesium are poorly absorbed. FOODS As far as best “magnesium-rich” foods, most of it is greens and vegetables: Spinach Beet greens Collard greens Turnip greens Broccoli -Raw seeds -Raw nuts -Fatty fish SUPPLEMENTS Obviously, taking a pill a lot easier and more efficient. Unfortunately, there are about 9 common forms of magnesium supplements, which can get very confusing. Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate Magnesium Oxide Magnesium Citrate Etc. So What’s The Best Form? Over the years, I’ve tested many different forms and combinations and I’ve discovered the best is a combination of 4 different magnesium's, which are clinically proven for maximum absorption: TRAACS® Magnesium Glycinate Amino Acid Chelate Albion® Di-Magnesium Malate Magnesium Citrate ======================================== Thank you for watching. However, most people don’t realize that having high blood pressure ALSO causes erectile problems.3 In fact, high blood pressure also causes a decrease in libido and loss of interest in sex for women as well!3 And this is important to know because 33% of Americans over the age of 20 have high blood pressure.1 And 90% have hypertension by age 65.1,2 And worse yet, 72% of people don’t even know they have high blood pressure.2 So statistically speaking, if you’re watching this video … you probably do NOT have “optimal” blood pressure levels. And if you’re experiencing any form of erectile dysfunction … or a decrease in your libido … or you simply want to improve your “performance” in the bedroom, it’s extremely important that you improve your blood pressure. Hypertension & Physical Causes Blood vessel damage from high blood pressure (HBP or hypertension) reduces blood flow throughout your body. Lower blood flow to the pelvis can negatively affect the sex lives of both men and women. Men - High Blood Pressure and Erectile Dysfunction In a man, the effects of high blood pressure on sexual function are more physically apparent than they are with women. Erectile dysfunction happens when there’s not enough blood flow to the penis to allow for an erection. Basically, a common cause of erectile dysfunction (impotence) is damage to the lining of the arteries to the penis. Because of this, there’s less blood getting to the penis and thus, you end up have a “limp dick”. Blood pressure can damage your arteries by causing them to become thicker, or even to burst. This can restrict blood flow to your penis, which can cause impotence. Women - High Blood Pressure, Loss of libido & Interest Women with high blood pressure may have lower libido and less interest in sex, especially if the condition is contributing to fatigue. If a woman’s blood flow to her vagina is reduced, it may also affect how her body responds both before and during intercourse. Blood Pressure Drugs and Impotence So if high blood pressure wasn’t bad enough for your sex life, the typical solutions are even worse! Unfortunately, most doctors will simply prescribe blood pressure drugs, which are known to cause erectile dysfunction.4 In fact, it’s estimated that over 70% of men who take blood pressure medications, decide to get off of them because of these negative side-effects.4,5 Natural Solutions As I’ve stated in all of my videos, you do NOT need to take drugs to help fix your health challenges. Nature already has the solutions. Under today’s video, I’ve given you links to proven, all-natural solutions for lowering your blood pressure. In fact, it’s the SAME formula that my dad and I use personally. So whether you’re a man or women and you want to improve your sex drive, libido and help fix any erectile problems, make sure you optimize your hormones and lower your high blood pressure. ======================================== Thank you for watching. ♥ WARNING - High Blood Pressure Kills More Women Than Men!

05:54
My Favorite Formula For Lowering Blood Pressure Naturally: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/ProvenHBPFormula ======================================= ♥ WARNING - High Blood Pressure Kills More Women Than Men! ======================================= Most people think that “heart” conditions and high blood pressure is more of a “man’s” problem, but it’s actually the opposite! In fact, high blood pressure affects more women than men! Did you know that if you’re a woman, aside from smoking … your biggest risk factor for having heart problems is high blood pressure?... And this is because women have smaller blood vessels in the heart, making them more vulnerable to high blood pressure and inflammation of the blood vessels. In fact, the statistics are startling…. High blood pressure affects one in four women, and kills significantly more women than men: 59% of women compared to 44% of hypertensive men, according to American Heart Association’s 2016 statistics. By the way, your goal for healthy blood pressure levels should be 120/80 or lower. What Causes High Blood Pressure In Women? Pregnancy: The increased blood volume required to nurture a growing fetus—can potentially raise blood pressure to extremely high levels. For this reason, expectant mothers also should have blood pressure readings taken often. Also, hypertension can develop rapidly in the last three months of pregnancy. When this happens, a woman may need treatment—even after delivery. Menopause: Normal age-related hormonal declines, often cause a woman’s arteries to become less elastic and more constrictive, thus contributing to high blood pressure. Unfortunately, giving women synthetic hormones (estrogen and especially progesterone) makes this situation only worse. Metabolic Syndrome: Data from a five-year National Health and Nutrition Examination study of adults with hypertension revealed what causes hypertension in women: imbalance in cholesterol levels, high blood sugar levels and excess abdominal fat. These are typically associated with “metabolic syndrome”, which often leads to heart disease and diabetes. Pain Medications DOUBLES The Problem A report from the Harvard School of Medicine revealed that women taking painkillers such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil and Motrin) increased their risk for high blood pressure by almost 100% That’s DOUBLE the rate! And this is because of the fluid retention and decreased kidney function due to these drugs. So, only take these drugs occasionally, as needed and definitely not daily or more than 3x weekly. By the way, aspirin does not cause hypertension, but it has its own set of negative side-effects. Synthetic Hormones Makes Thing Worse Synthetic hormone replacement therapy (HRT), such as medroxyprogesterone found in drugs like Progestin and Provera, can also intensify high blood pressure by causing blood vessels to constrict. Additionally, an increase in progesterone causes a decrease in estrogen, which is NOT what you want because estrogen tends help blood pressure in women. Ironically, higher estrogen levels in men increases blood pressure. 5 Best Way For Women To Protect Themselves From High Blood Pressure Manage your stress levels - sleep better, journal, relax and be more mindful of your feelings. “Don’t sweat the small stuff”. Lose unwanted fat. Eat better - more healthy fats, fish, fiber, vegetables, while decreasing carbs, sugars, alcohol and processed foods. Exercise regularly - walking and lifting weights are best, 3-4x weekly is plenty. How To Reduce High Blood Pressure Naturally | How To Prevent High Blood Pressure Naturally

03:44
How To Reduce Blood Pressure | How To Prevent Blood Pressure | How To Lower High Blood Pressure | Lifestyle | Diet Hey, guys! This weeks video is about high blood pressure and how you can prevent getting it with simple yet effective lifestyle changes. Healthcare professionals refer to high blood pressure as the silent killer and for a good reason! High blood pressure increases risks of many diseases and shortens your life significantly. WHAT IS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) and is given as two figures: Systolic pressure – The pressure when your heart pushes blood out. Diastolic pressure – The pressure when your heart rests between beats. As a general guide: High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher (or an average of 135/85mmHg at home) Ideal blood pressure is considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg Low blood pressure is considered to be 90/60mmHg or lower. A blood pressure reading between 120/80mmHg and 140/90mmHg could mean you're at risk of developing high blood pressure if you don't take steps to keep your blood pressure under control. HOW TO PREVENT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: High blood pressure can often be prevented or reduced by eating healthily, maintaining a healthy weight, taking regular exercise, drinking alcohol in moderation and not smoking. SALT & DIET: Cut down on the amount of salt in your food and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. The NHS Eatwell Guide highlights the different types of food that make up our diet, and shows the proportions we should eat them in to have a well-balanced and healthy diet. Salt raises your blood pressure. The more salt you eat, the higher your blood pressure. Aim to eat less than 6g (0.2oz) of salt a day, which is about a teaspoonful. Eating a low-fat diet that includes lots of fibre – such as wholegrain rice, bread and pasta – and plenty of fruit and vegetables also helps lower blood pressure. Aim to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Eatwell guide link: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/the-eatwell-guide.aspx ALCOHOL INTAKE: Regularly drinking alcohol above recommended limits can raise your blood pressure over time. Staying within these recommended levels is the best way to reduce your risk of developing high blood pressure: Men and women are advised not to regularly drink more than 14 units a week. Spread your drinking over three days or more if you drink as much as 14 units a week. Find out how many units are in your favourite drink and get tips on cutting down: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/alcohol/Pages/alcohol-units.aspx GET ACTIVE & LOSE WEIGHT: Being active and taking regular exercise lowers blood pressure by keeping your heart and blood vessels in good condition. Regular exercise can also help you lose weight, which will also help lower your blood pressure. Adults should do at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity such as cycling or fast walking every week. CUT DOWN CAFFEINE: Drinking more than four cups of coffee a day may increase your blood pressure. If you're a big fan of coffee, tea or other caffeine-rich drinks, such as cola and some energy drinks, consider cutting down. STOP SMOKING: Smoking doesn't directly cause high blood pressure, but it puts you at much higher risk of a heart attack and stroke. Smoking, like high blood pressure, will cause your arteries to narrow. If you smoke and have high blood pressure, your arteries will narrow much more quickly, and your risk of heart or lung disease in the future is dramatically increased. SLEEP: Long-term sleep deprivation is associated with a rise in blood pressure and an increased risk of hypertension. It's a good idea to try to get at least six hours of sleep a night if you can. YOU THINK THAT 120/80 IS A NORMAL BLOOD PRESSURE: YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG!

02:14
YOU THINK THAT 120/80 IS A NORMAL BLOOD PRESSURE: YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG! Many people all around the world think that 120 over 80 is a normal blood pressure, but ESC Association issued new guidelines, according to which the normal pressure to 140 systolic (the top number in a blood pressure measurement) and 90 diastolic (bottom number). This, does not apply for people with diabetes, in which the limit is 130 over 80, as in the older population. Previously was thought that if someone’s blood pressure is 139 over 89 that that person is already in hypertensive condition and that this person needs to take meds immediately in order to avoid increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Blood pressure generally considered to be low when either systolic blood pressure is less than 90 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure is less than 60 mmHg, but if your blood pressure is severely low — less than 80/50 mmHg — or you experience a sudden drop in blood pressure, consult your health care provider. If you have low blood pressure and do not have any worrisome symptoms, such as dizziness, headaches, or an abnormal heart rate, it is probably not a concern. Knowing your blood pressure is important part of health management, since undiagnosed hypertension puts you at risk for a variety of other conditions. We really hope you find this article helpful and don’t forget to share it with your friends and family. Thank You. 10 Signs And Symptoms Of Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)

04:02
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is defined as high pressure in the arteries, that are the vessels which carry blood from the heart to the body. It’s easy to tell whether an adult has high blood pressure because there’s a standard set of measurements: Normal blood pressure—systolic under 120 mmHg and diastolic under 80 mm Hg; Pre-hypertension—systolic 120-139 mmHg or diastolic 80-89 mmHg; Stage 1 hypertension—systolic 140-159 mmHg or diastolic 90-99 mmHg; Stage 2 hypertension—systolic ≥160 or diastolic ≥100 mmHg. Approximately 86 million adults (about 1 out of every 3) in the United States have hypertension. Many factors can affect blood pressure, including - smoking, leading a sedentary lifestyle, a diet with a high salt intake, being overweight or obese, long-term sleep deprivation, a diet focused on meat, dairy products, and eggs, high LDL cholesterol, alcohol abuse or chronic alcohol use, or a family history of high blood pressure. If high blood pressure remains untreated, it can cause kidney failure, heart disease, and increases the risk of stroke. High blood pressure commonly has no symptoms and is often labeled "the silent killer." However, a few people with high blood pressure may experience: #1 Vision problems - hypertension can damage the vessels supplying blood to your retina, causing retinopathy. This serious condition can lead to blurred vision, bleeding in the eye, and complete loss of vision. #2 Nausea - a sensation of unease and discomfort in the stomach with an urge to vomit. #3 Headaches - some individuals with hypertension may experience headaches, but they usually don't occur unless the pressure is notably raised. #4 Erectile Dysfunction - the inability to have and maintain an erection becomes increasingly common in men as they reach age 50. But high blood pressure damages the lining of blood vessels and causes atherosclerosis, limiting blood flow to the penis. #5 Kidney Damage - a high blood pressure can cause damage to the filters and blood vessels in the kidney, making removal of waste from the body difficult. #6 Fatigue - feeling tired all the time and experiencing difficulty with everyday activities, such as climbing stairs, shopping, walking, or carrying groceries. #7 Mental function can also change as a result of hypertension with many experiencing difficulties finding words, memory loss, and an inability to focus. #8 Heart palpitations - to "make up for" the loss in pumping capacity, the heart beats faster. #9 Chest pain which may radiate to the back, arms, neck or jaw. #10 Ringing in the ear - considering the immense amounts of blood flowing in and out of the head and this area, it is no surprise that hypertension can affect one’s hearing. Note - According to various studies, foods or beverages that may help reduce hypertension include - whole grains, legumes, flax seeds, beets, dark green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, potatoes, hibiscus tea, and foods high in potassium (such as pistachios, bananas, raisins, almonds, dates). How to: Measure Blood Pressure

04:09
An introductory video explaining how to manually measure blood pressure. In this video, we are sharing with you the auscultatory method of determining systolic and diastolic arterial pressures. The cuff is placed above the antecubital artery and the cuff is above the upper arm. The stethoscope is placed near the antecubital artery and no sound will be hear when there is enough pressure to close off the artery. When the pressure is slowly released, the sound of blood jetting through the vessel by the vibrations of the wall is called the Korotkoff sounds. The first sound is also the systolic pressure. The diastolic pressure is when a muffled quality occurs. Please note that the sound is often overestimated because sound can still be heard even after deflation of the cuff. This method is not 100% accurate but will give values within the 10% range. This information was written in the Textbook of Medical Physiology by Guyton and Hall. **Disclaimer: we are not medical professionals.

Top 15 Healthy Foods Good For The Heart And Blood Pressure

03:51
#1 Tomatoes provide vitamin C, lycopene, and alpha- and beta-carotene. Interestingly, cooking may actually increase the health benefits of this lush fruit because although cooked tomatoes have less vitamin C, their lycopene content is more available. #2 Apples are high in vitamin C and dietary fiber (a medium apple has 4 grams of fiber). According to the researchers from Harvard University, for every 10 grams of fiber you consume, your risk for coronary heart disease drops by approximately 14%, plus, fruit fiber was found to be especially protective. #3 The polyphenols in grapes can help to protect you from heart disease by suppressing the process of atherosclerosis, a type of heart disease resulting in the buildup of low-density lipoprotein in artery walls. This condition can cause a stroke or a heart attack. #4 Oatmeal is high in soluble fiber, that can lower total and LDL cholesterol because it acts as a sponge in the digestive tract and absorbs the cholesterol which is then eliminated from the body. #5 Red cabbage protects against heart disease, largely due to its high concentration of beta-carotene, resveratrol, and vitamin C. According to a study conducted by the Department of Epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health, one serving a day of vegetables and fruits, especially those that are high in vitamin C, like cruciferous vegetables, results in a 4% lower risk of coronary heart disease. #6 Bananas have one of the highest potassium contents available. Low potassium levels are associated with a risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, arthritis, infertility, and digestive disorders. #7 Oranges have the cholesterol-fighting fiber pectin. They are also a good source of potassium, that helps control blood pressure. In one recent study, 2 oranges per day boosted blood vessel health as well as it lowered blood pressure in men. #8 Cantaloupe may prove useful in the treatment of different forms of heart disease because of its anti-inflammatory abilities. Heart disease, including atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), is usually attributed to high levels of inflammation as one of the leading causes. #9 Mango contains a good amount of potassium which increases the fluid level. In addition, the high levels of fiber and vitamin C in mangoes help to lower serum cholesterol levels, specifically Low-Density Lipoprotein. #10 Flaxseeds contain omega-3 fatty acids (the best source), pectins, and dietary fiber to boost heart health. You can take them in milled or ground form to reap the greatest benefit. #11 The potassium, fiber, vitamin C, and B6 found in kale support heart health. An increase in potassium intake along with a decrease in salt (due to its sodium content) intake is the most important dietary change that sufferers of a cardiovascular disease can make to improve their health. #12 Garlic seems to reduce LDL and total cholesterol, especially in people who have high cholesterol. However, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides do not seem to be affected. #13 Walnuts are a good source of omega-3 fats which are beneficial for the heart, particularly when you use these monounsaturated fats in place of trans- and saturated fats. Thus, you raise your “good” HDL cholesterol and cut your “bad” LDL cholesterol. #14 Asparagus boasts two nutrients which help lower LDL blood cholesterol - saponins (nutrients that stop the digestive tract from absorbing cholesterol) and soluble fiber. Asparagus also contains potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure, and vitamin K, that can help with blood clotting. #15 Black beans are packed with heart-healthy nutrients, such as folate (vitamin B9), antioxidants, and magnesium. Additionally, their dietary fiber content helps control both cholesterol and blood sugar levels.   Thank you. This was our video with healthy foods for your heart or a heart healthy diet. ♥ The Scary Truth About High Blood Pressure Symptoms

04:30
Discover the REAL CAUSE of High Blood Pressure & 5 Best Foods for Lowering It Naturally: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerHBPToday ======================================= The Scary Truth About High Blood Pressure Symptoms ======================================= (1) http://www.webmd.com/news/20110420/the-10-most-prescribed-drugs (2) http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Conditions/HighBloodPressure/PreventionTreatmentofHighBloodPressure/Types-of-Blood-Pressure-Medications_UCM_303247_Article.jsp Today’s question is from Rose and she asks: “How do you I know if I have high blood pressure?... I think lately I’ve had it because I’ve been having headaches. How can I lower my BP naturally?” So here’s the truth -- unless you take your blood pressure readings multiple times a day for a few days in a row, it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to know if you have chronic high blood pressure. This is because there is NO list of symptoms or “signs” of high blood pressure (HBP or Hypertension).... And THIS is the scary part. It’s a MYTH that people with high blood pressure will experience symptoms, like nervousness, sweating, headaches, nosebleeds or facial flushing. The scary fact is that high blood pressure is a symptomless “silent killer.” If you ignore your blood pressure because you think a certain symptom or sign will alert you to the problem, you are taking a dangerous chance with your life. This is a VERY important topic for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure. What’s really scared me personally at an early age is that my grandfather died immediately with his FIRST and ONLY stroke. My uncle was handicapped and paralyzed for the rest of his life, with his FIRST and ONLY stroke. Thus – NO warnings. NO second chances. NO opportunity to make changes or improvements. And this is why high blood pressure is known as the “silent killer”. Unfortunately, having “high blood pressure” has become a “silent” epidemic. Did you know that: 1/3 (35%) of adults over the age of 20, has high blood pressure?... Yet, 72% aren’t even aware that they have hypertension If you’re over the age of 50, man or woman… over 57% of the population has high blood pressure! And if you’re over 60 years old, it’s a shocking 67% And it only gets worse… About 77% of people who have their first heart attack, have high blood pressure. About 84% of people having strokes, have high blood pressure. The fact is that high blood pressure is a major cause of a heart attack and stroke. And in my opinion, more important than cholesterol levels. This is why blood pressure drugs are the #2 most prescribed1 drugs in America And get this, there 11 different TYPES2 of “blood pressure lowering” drugs. And a total of over 75 different medications! And YET – this problem is getting worse each and every year mainly because the drugs just aren’t working. Anyway, I mention all of this not to be a “downer” or to “ruin your day”. But to emphasize the importance of making sure you have healthy blood pressure levels and not look for symptoms because there aren’t any reliable ones. Because the statistics show that most of us have elevated blood pressure. So you and I need to make improvements in our life-style. I don’t want you to be another statistic, like my own grandfather, uncle and even my dad. Forget about taking drugs - they don’t work and it’s not a good or safe long-term solution. Natural remedies exist… it’s what I personally use myself, as well as my family. Below I have a great video about this topic, where I reveal the real cause of high blood pressure, as well as the 5 best foods for lowering your blood pressure, naturally. So please don’t feel like “hopeless”. Simple, effective, proven and safe solutions DO exist!
