With the precision knife, carefully create separation and insert a plastic triangle opening tool to start slicing through the adhesive. Take your time and apply additional heat as needed. The adhesive securing the cover is relatively mild, once the pick sneaks into the seam, the cover can be peeled up. Step 4 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Midframe) Remove the following 17 T4 Torx screws. Use the tweezers to remove the 2 plastic covers and then detach the connectors underneath. You can now easily separate the Droid Turbo 2 midframe. Step 7 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Front-Facing Camera and Earpiece Speaker) Peel up the black tape. Remove the following 2 T4 Torx screws, and then the bracket. Disconnect the Droid Turbo 2 battery from the motherboard. Use the spudger to detach and remove the 5 MP Droid Turbo 2 front-facing selfie camera. Utilizing the tweezers, pry up the earpiece speaker. Step 8 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Motherboard) Disconnect the bevy of cables from the motherboard. With the cables detached, carefully free the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 motherboard from the display assembly. Step 10 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Battery) With a little spudgering the 3760 milliampere-hour (mAh) Droid Turbo 2 lithium-ion battery can be removed. * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

Motorcycle Lithium-Ion vs Lead-Acid Battery Comparison, Review, & Guide

Should you choose old technology and choose a heavy lead-acid motorcycle battery? Or choose the newer lighter lithium-ion battery technology? There are many benefits of a lithium-ion battery over a traditional lead-acid. They are however more expensive than a lead acid, but the cost may be well worth it. On average a lithium-ion battery costs 30% more than a lead-acid.  Lithium-ion batteries are generally much smaller than lead-acid. For this reason, make certain upon purchase that it will fit your motorcycle. Many sellers of lithium-ion batteries will put the battery in a "stock case" for your brand/model motorcycle. That means that they'll make it the same size as your stock lead-acid battery so it will fit perfectly in the battery compartment of your Harley-Davidson as an example. If you choose to buy the smaller size lithium-ion it may bounce around in your large battery compartment. Many come with shims so you can try to wedge the battery in to keep it from moving around. My recommendation is to get a lithium-ion battery with the correct case size for your application.  When purchasing a lithium-ion, also be aware of the terminal placement such as side or top to make sure it will work with your application. Again, this is why I bought a direct replacement lithium-ion made for my Harley Street Glide that has everything the same as my lead-acid.  Lithium-ion batteries often have more cold cranking amps (CCA) and that means more powerful starts. As an example, the Twin Power Lithium Ion Battery -DLFP30HL-BS-H I bought has 625 CCA, whereas a typical lead-acid for a Harley will have 400-500 CCA.  The first possible drawback to a lithium-ion is that if you let it fall to below 11 volts by accidentally leaving your headlight as an example, you may permanently damage the battery. Whereas, a lead-acid in good shape could be charged and likely recover. The second drawback, not really in my opinion, to a lithium-ion motorcycle battery, is that if you leave your motorcycle out in temperatures below freezing for an extended period of time, you'll have to "wake" the battery to get it cycling. This is easily done by turning your headlight on for a short period or bumping the starter a few times. Once awake, you lithium-ion goes to work fast and gives you those cold cranking amps. I tested my lithium-ion battery by placing it in my freezer for a bit over two hours at 12 degrees Fahrenheit. I tested it on my Harley and it fired right up and the battery never went to sleep. That tells me that you'd need to have your bike in the below-freezing temps for some time before it would go to sleep. Again, easily overcome by just bumping your starter or turning your headlight on to wake it.  An upside is that Lithium-ion batteries don't really need to be on a battery tender all winter like a lead-acid as they only lose about 10% of their charge a year while sitting. Whereas, a lead-acid battery loses 1% per day. Just remove the negative battery terminal on your lithium-ion battery when storing your motorcycle & you're good to go. Then, just charge it up and top it off before riding season. In contrast, you should keep your lead-acid on a battery tender while you park and/or store your motorcycle for any length of time to greatly increase its lifespan. Universal Battery Charger

09:36
This video is about a Universal Cell Phone Battery Charger that we use and sell. Available at: http://gocellphonerepair.com/universal-battery-charger/ If you have a broken charging port and can't or don't want to repair it this device might be the solution. If you have a phone with an internal battery of course, then you will have to try something else. We sell a lot of these to customers who are using Samsung phones since the charging ports are easy to break if you are not careful. In some cases the port can be repaired but sometimes the connections on the logic board are so badly damaged that it cannot be repaired. The downside is that you will not be able to transfer data via USB but as far as getting the battery charged, this will do the trick. A lot of people buy this along with an extra battery so that they can use the phone while charging the spare at the same time. Beware of cheap imitations. We have spent over $100 testing other chargers and while there were a few that worked ok, most were very low quality and a waste of money. If you use this charger properly it should last you many years. How to revive dead NiCd battery from cordless power tools

05:21
In this video I'll show you how to bring to life dead NiCd battery from cordless power tools. Nicd batteries often die in such a way that they won't take a charge and have zero voltage. This usually means they're shorted out by crystal dendrite growth inside Nicd cells. There's a method of bringing them back to life by zapping those shorted crystal dendrites away with too much current and voltage. How to Test Motorcycle Battery & Charging System-Multimeter or Voltmeter | DIY

09:58
Video-Is your Harley-Davidson or other brand motorcycle seem to be cranking over slowly when starting? Does your battery seem to be going bad? Not sure whether you should replace your motorcycle battery? We show you how to easily test your motorcycle battery & charging system using a simple inexpensive digital multimeter right in your very own shop or garage. No need to go running to a dealership to spend money. Be in the know on whether you actually need a new motorcycle battery or not. Or you may find it's not the battery at all and a charging system problem instead. In this video, we show you how to choose the correct settings on your multimeter & complete all the necessary tests. Set the multimeter/voltmeter to DC volts (20v range). The particular multimeter listed on this page (left) has an actual 12v setting, making it very easy. Many volt meters might only have a 20v setting, which is the one you should choose and will work the same. Note: These multimeter settings will be used for all the below motorcycle battery and charging system tests. MUST LISTEN TO PODCAST EPISODE #134: LAB-134-Harley-Davidson Alternators, Stators, Regulators, Rectifiers-Charging System | Complete Guide http://www.lawabidingbiker.com/134 Static Battery Voltage Test: Make certain you have not recently charged your motorcycle battery. Let it sit for at least an hour after disconnecting it from a charger. Turn on your ignition so your headlights are on and other accessories for about two minutes and then turn the ignition off. This is to get rid of any surface charge. Place the voltmeter leads to the battery terminals. (positive to positive and negative to negative). A good battery should read between 12.4 to 12.6 volts, 12.6v being optimal. If it reads below those values then your battery is not keeping a full charge. Starting Battery Load Test: (cold cranking test) Next, you'll need to determine the cold cranking power that your battery is capable of. Place the voltmeter leads to the battery terminals. (positive to positive and negative to negative). Now, start your motor. Good readings will be above 10v, 9.6v being the absolute lowest you'd want to see. If it drops below the 9.6v, the battery has a very low capacity and should be replaced. Charging System Test: Next, you'll want to determine if your charging system is working and properly feeding your battery when the motorcycle is running. Place the voltmeter leads to the battery terminals. (positive to positive and negative to negative). Start your motor and bring the RPM's up to approximately 3,000. You'll want to see a reading of 13.8 to 14.5 volts to know that your stator and regulator/rectifier are operating properly and charging your battery. If not, then you likely have a motorcycle charging system problem. Best Practice & Battery Maintenance: Consider keeping your motorcycle battery on a simple inexpensive battery tender that just plugs into a wall outlet. The tenders come with a pig tail that you can hook permanently to your battery. It just has a positive and negative lead to hook to the battery. Most new Harley's all come with the pigtail already installed. Just plug it in and it maintains your battery. It's an inexpensive way to assure you get the most life out of your motorcycle battery. Even during the summer warm months you can use it, such as a time you may not be riding for a week or so. The worst thing you can do is just let your motorcycle battery sit without being on a tender for longer periods of time. Who wants to prematurely buy a new expensive motorcycle battery? Best Way To Charge A Dead Car Battery - how to hook up in this video

03:50
www.handymanpf.com If you find this video helpful please hit Like. Here is a link to buy an automatic battery charger, I have bought this same charger and recommend it http://amzn.to/1Y1fbrm or here http://amzn.to/2apH3Vy I tell you the best way to my knowledge to charge a dead car battery. Then I show you how I hook up a battery charger. Thanks for watching. If the battery is in the car unhook the ground first in American automobiles. Reason being if you are using a wrench to unhook the positive first you could hit a piece of metal and cause a short between the car frame and positive cable in which could lead to serious damage and personal injury. If you unhook the ground first when removing the battery than there will be no short and you can remove safely. Then you can remove the positive cable. And you install in reverse. Positive first then ground. Batteries can explode and do produce a hydrogen gas when charging, so it is best practice to charge outside in a safe secluded open area. As for this charger some say hook the black up first and some say hook the red up first. I always say this is how I do things and i made this video for informational purposes and you should always follow whatever the manufacturer instructions say. I hope you found this video helpful, please feel free to check out my other videos and my website WWW.HANDYMANPF.COM Please hit like, comment, subscribe and share. Take care. DIY Lithium Ion E-Bike Battery Pack from 18650 Laptop Batteries

11:13
How to build a lithium ion electric bike battery pack from recovered used laptop batteries. Save hundreds of dollars by salvaging 18650 li-ion cells from used or even dead laptop batteries bought off eBay. My pack is 24 volt 20AH which should hopefully provide a 30-45 mile range per charge on my ebike (and cost less than $150 dollars). In the video I show you how to calculate the capacity, then wire and test the completed battery. UPDATE: The battery had a total capacity of 19aH. The groups of cells were slightly out of balance (3.3v, 2.5v, 2.9v, 2.5v, 3.1v, 2.9v) so I could rearrange some cells and get a few extra miles, but I'm happy enough with the results. Easiest Way to Revive NiCad Rechargeable Battery

04:31
How to revive NiCad Rechargeable Battery welcome to http://handymanfix.com! Our cordless phone was disconnected with its base during our14-day Europe trip, thus the rechargeable battery on the phone set is dead. After recharging it in the base overnight, nothing indicated it had any charge. It is dead because of the crystal dendrite growth. How can you revive it? Simple, it only takes 2 minutes and a charger to "zap" it. Note that NiCad battery is an old type but it is not bad at all. It can deliver high current compare to Nimh type. So don't throw it away before reviving it first. You are not only saving money, you are saving our earth!!! The "zap" only needs to be strong enough to knock off dendrite. It's a pulse for shock treatment, not meant to provide a constant large current. If you have constant current, then it will generate heat, thus may lead to fire. http://handymanfix.com/how-to-revive-nicad-rechargeable-battery/

Step 2 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 SIM Card and microSD Card Tray) Remove the SIM card and microSD card tray. Step 3 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Back Cover) Use the heat gun to warm up the adhesive securing the Droid Turbo 2 rear cover to the midframe. Step 5 (Motorola Droid Turbo Power & Volume Buttons, Headphone Jack, Vibrator, and LED Flash Cable and Microphone) Remove the physical power and volume buttons from the side of the midframe. Pry the headphone jack up and out of the chassis. Remove the Droid Turbo 2 vibrator. Peel up the piece of Kapton tape, and then release the ZIF connector. Carefully peel up the Droid Turbo 2 dual-LED flash cable and microphone. Step 6 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Loudspeaker, Inductive Charging Coil, Rear Camera Lens and Flash Bezel, and LED Flash) Use the spudger to pry the Droid Turbo 2 loudspeaker up from the plastic midframe. Remove the inductive charging coil. Turn the midframe over and remove the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 rear camera lens and flash bezel. Utilizing the tweezers, remove the dual-LED flash. Step 9 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 IR Sensor Cable and Rear-Facing Camera) Release the ZIF connector and remove the IR sensor cable. Peel up the Kapton tape and release the ZIF connector. Easily pluck out the 21 MP Motorola Droid Turbo 2 rear-facing camera. Step 10 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Battery) With a little spudgering the 3760 milliampere-hour (mAh) Droid Turbo 2 lithium-ion battery can be removed. Step 11 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Power and Volume Buttons Flex Cable) Carefully peel up and remove the Droid Turbo 2 power and volume buttons flex cable. Step 12 (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 LCD Screen and Digitizer Assembly) Peel up the display assembly cable, it is secured to the frame with relatively mild adhesive. Separate the plastic bezel from the frame. Use the heat gun to warm up the adhesive securing the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 LCD screen and digitizer assembly to the front frame. With a triangle opening tool, work around the Droid Turbo 2 display slicing through the adhesive. Take your time and apply additional heat as needed. Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the ribbon cable when decoupling the Droid Turbo 2 display assembly from the frame. * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.
