😱 7 EARLY SIGNS OF LUNG CANCER YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION

04:10
According to a research, almost 40% of patients suffering from cancer were diagnosed when the cancer has evolved in the late 3rd stage, meaning it has already made big progress. This is as it is because lung cancer shows no symptoms and it is hard to notice it in its early stages. Fortunately, there are 7 signs that indicate lung cancer and can help you in diagnosing it before it is too late. 1. Persistent Cough Pay attention to the way you cough. If the cough is gone after one or two weeks, it means you have caught a regular cough due to a respiratory infection or a cold. However, if you suffer from the same cough even after two weeks it might indicate to lung cancer. If you cough out mucus it is mandatory to visit your doctor and make the relevant tests on your lungs and chest, for example: x-rays. If there are some other changes in your cough, such as: cough with hoarse sound, cough with blood or extreme mucus, then you must not waste anymore time and visit your doctor. 2. Being out of Breath Shortness of breath is another lung cancer symptom and it is caused because of two possible things: the first is there is probably a fluid accumulated in your chest as a result of a lung tumor; the second is there is narrowing (blockage) of the airways. Therefore, if due to some daily actions you feel shortness of breath, which did not make you feel like it before, such as bringing groceries, climbing up stairs or some other actions, then it is strongly recommended to visit your doctor. 3. Pain in the chest, back or shoulders Even though pain caused in the above mentioned areas is not often connected with lung cancer, it may be caused as a result of metastasis on the chests, lungs, or enlargement of the lymph nodes or the ribs. It does not matter if you feel healthy, strong, constant or dull, what matters is that you must visit your doctor in order to make sure what is going on with your health condition. 4. Whistling/Wheezing If you notice a wheezing or whistling sound while you breathe, pay a visit to your doctor. However, you must not panic because all those sounds appear when airways are constricted or inflamed. The sounds may be a sign of something easily curable. If the sounds are prolonged then you should visit your doctor for sure. 5. Weight Drop When having lung cancer, you may experience sudden weight drop. This is due to cancer cells using body’s energy that has been obtained from food. 6. Pain in the bones If you are feeling severe pain in the bones or any other part of your back during any time of the day or night, then you need to pay attention to this serious symptom and consult with a doctor. 7. Continuous headache If you are constantly feeling headache then you might be dealing with lung cancer that had spread to the brain. However, headache occurrence may not always be linked with metastases in the brain. This headache may be caused because the lung tumor presses the main vein that transfers blood from the upper part to your heart. How to be able to diagnose lung cancer at early stage? Since x-rays cannot discover lung cancer on time, there are CT scans (computed tomography) which can help in the process of discovering the sneaky disease on time and reducing the possibility of death when dealing with lung cancer. To sum everything up, you should not wait for any kind of sign to occur in order to go to the doctor, make an x-ray or do a CT scan. Any person between 55 and 80 years of age and the ones who have been active smokers in the last 15 years should make the tests as soon as possible in order to prevent lung cancer. EARLY SIGNS OF LUNG CANCER TO WATCH OUT FOR

06:33
Lung cancer, also known as carcinoma of the lung or pulmonary carcinoma, is a malignant lung tumor characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. If left untreated, this growth can spread beyond the lung by process of metastasis into nearby tissue or other parts of the body. The vast majority (80–90%) of cases of lung cancer are due to long-term exposure to tobacco smoke. About 10–15% of cases occur in people who have never smoked. These cases are often caused by a combination of genetic factors and exposure to radon gas, asbestos, or other forms of air pollution, including second-hand smoke. Worldwide, lung cancer is the most common cancer among men in terms of both incidence and mortality, and among women has the third highest incidence, and is second after breast cancer in mortality. Learn the signs of lung cancer to catch the disease early and ensure a positive outcome. Below are some early signs of lung cancer according to healthline.com. No Warning Lung cancer may not produce any noticeable symptoms in the early stages. In approximately 40 percent of people diagnosed with lung cancer, the diagnosis is made after the disease has advanced. In one third of those diagnosed, the cancer has reached stage 3. Cough That Won’t Quit Be on alert for a new cough that lingers. While a cough associated with a cold or respiratory infection will go away in a week or two, a persistent cough that lingers can be a possible sign of lung cancer. Don’t be tempted to dismiss a stubborn cough, whether it is dry or mucus-producing, as “just a cough.” Change in a Cough Pay attention to any changes in a chronic cough, particularly if you are a smoker. If you are coughing more often, your cough has a deeper or hoarse sound, or you are coughing up blood or more mucus than usual, it’s time to make a doctor’s appointment. Breathing Changes Shortness of breath or becoming easily winded are also possible symptoms of lung cancer. This symptom can occur if lung cancer blocks or narrows an airway, or if fluid from a lung tumor builds up in the chest. Make a point of noticing when you feel winded or short of breath. If this symptom occurs after climbing the stairs to your house, bringing in groceries, or performing another task you could previously do without finding it hard to breathe, don’t ignore it. Pain in the Chest Area Lung cancer may produce pain in the chest, shoulder, or back area. This aching feeling may not be associated with coughing. Tell your doctor if you notice any type of chest pain, whether it is sharp, dull, constant, or comes and goes. You should also note whether it is confined to a specific area or is occurring throughout your chest. When lung cancer causes chest pain, the discomfort may result from enlarged lymph nodes or metastasis to the chest wall, pleura (lining around the lungs), or the ribs. Wheezing When airways become constricted, blocked, or inflamed, the lungs produce a wheezing or whistling sound when you breathe. Wheezing can be associated with multiple causes, some of which are benign and easily treatable. However, wheezing is also a lung cancer symptom, which is why it merits your doctor’s attention. If wheezing continues, don’t assume it’s asthma or allergies. Have your doctor confirm what’s causing it. Raspy, Hoarse Voice If you hear a significant change in your voice, or if someone else points out that your voice sounds deeper, hoarse, or raspier, get checked out by your doctor. Hoarseness can be caused by a simple cold, but this symptom becomes worrisome when it hangs on for more than two weeks. Hoarseness related to lung cancer can occur when the tumor affects the nerve that controls the larynx, or voice box. Drop in Weight An unexplained weight loss of 10 pounds or more may be associated with lung cancer or another type of cancer. When cancer is present, this weight drop may result from cancer cells using energy in the body. It could also result from shifts in the way the body uses food energy. Don’t write off a change in your weight if you haven’t been trying to shed pounds—it may be a clue to a change in your health. Bone Pain Lung cancer that has spread to the bones may produce pain in the back or in other areas of the body. This pain may worsen at night while resting on the back. Additionally, lung cancer is sometimes associated with shoulder, arm, or neck pain, although this is less common. Be attentive to your aches and pains, and discuss them with your doctor. Headache Headaches may be a sign that lung cancer has spread to the brain. However, not all headaches in people with lung cancer are associated with brain metastases. Sometimes, a lung tumor may create pressure on the superior vena cava, which is the large vein that moves blood from the upper body to the heart. This pressure can also trigger headaches. Talk with your doctor if your body shows these symptoms.

Lung Sounds (Abnormal) Crackles (Rales) Wheezes (Rhonchi) Stridor Pleural Friction Rub Breath Sounds

02:10
Abnormal lung sounds that include crackles (formerly called rales), stridor, wheezes (formerly called rhonchi), pleural friction rub, and stridor. There are two types of abnormal breath sounds such as discontinuous and continuous. Discontinuous sounds include: coarse crackles, fine crackles, and pleural friction rub. Continuous sounds include: low-pitched, monophonic wheeze & high-pitched, polyphonic wheeze, and stridor. Fine crackles sound like high-pitch, crackling noises mainly on inspiration and can't be cleared when coughing. Coarse crackles are low-pitch, wet bubbling sounds that can occur mainly during inspiration but can extend into expiration. Pleural friction rub is a harsh, grating sound heard during inspiration and expiration. Low-pitched, monophonic wheezes are heard mainly in expiration and have a low-pitched whistling tune or whine with ONE sound quality. 20 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body!

05:29
20 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body 1. Wheezing/shortness of breath Lung cancer patients remember noticing this as one of their first symptoms but didn't initially connect it to cancer. 2. Frequent fevers or infections Frequently a sign of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in bone marrow. It causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells that hinder your body's infection-fighting abilities. 3. Difficulty swallowing Most commonly associated with throat cancer, but can be a good indicator of lung cancer too. 4. Weakness and fatigue Such a common symptom of cancer that it should be looked at in combination with other symptoms to determine which it is. 5. Feeling full and unable to eat This is a sign of ovarian cancer. A loss of appetite even when you haven't eaten for a while is a tip-off. 6. Anorexia Could be an early sign of pancreatic cancer. A sudden disgust for coffee, wine or smoking can be linked to this as well. 7. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool Common sign of colorectal cancer. Blood in the toilet should be a big enough sign to see a doctor immediately. 8. Lumps in the neck, underarm or groin area Swollen lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system which can lead to cancer. 9. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn't stop Suggests abnormalities with the platelets and red blood cells, which can be a sign of leukemia. Leukemia cells crowd out red blood cells impairing your blood's ability to carry oxygen leading to clots. 10. Bloating or abdominal weight gain Ovarian cancer patients reported unexplained bloating that came on suddenly and continued for a significant amount of time. 11. Unexplained weight loss An early sign of colon and other digestive cancers. Also a sign of cancer that has spread to the liver, affecting your appetite and the body's ability to get rid of waste. 12. A red, sore, or swollen breast Indicates inflammatory breast cancer, unexplained changes should be told to a doctor immediately. A nipple that appears flattened, inverted or turned sideways had also been noticed by patients diagnosed with breast cancer. 13. Swelling of facial features Lung cancer patients have reported noticing puffiness, swelling or redness of the face. Small cell lung tumors commonly block blood vessels in the chest preventing blood from flowing freely to the head. 14. Sore/lump on the skin that bleeds, becomes crusty or doesn't heal Different types of skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma) can cause these, so be aware of any odd-looking growths or spots. 15. Changes in nails A brown/black dot under the nail can indicate skin cancer. Pale or white nails can be a sign of liver cancer. "Clubbing", which is the enlargement of the fingers with nails that curve down over the tips, can be a sign of lung cancer. 16. Unusually heavy or painful periods, bleeding between periods A common sign of endometrial or uterine cancer. A transvaginal ultrasound should be considered if the problem persists. 17. Chronic cough or chest pain Leukemia and lung tumors (among others), show symptoms that can mimic a bad cough or bronchitis. Some patients also reported a chest pain that extended to the shoulder and down their arm. 18. Pelvic/Abdominal pain Pain and cramping in the pelvis can be linked with the bloating signs of ovarian cancer. Leukemia also does this because it enlarges the spleen. 19. Pain in back or lower right side Often an early sign of liver cancer. Breast cancer can also be found through this as a breast tumor can press backward into the chest or spread to the spine/ribs. 20. Upset stomach Stomach cramps or a frequently upset stomach can be a sign of colorectal cancer. Subscribe ► https://goo.gl/1dVtUS Thank you for watching. Throat Cancer Symptoms -- You Need to Know!

04:01
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free video guide to herbal remedies and supplements! Today I'm going to talk about the major throat cancer symptoms and ideas on preventing this health problem. Cancer is a very scary word because it can strike without warning, grow and kill almost like an assassin. The thing with throat cancer is that many of the symptoms do not 100% inform someone they have this medical problem. Sure everyone gets a sore throat at times, but how do you know if it's cancer? This is where you need professional help. The million dollar question is when do you seek medical help? My thought on this question is that a person should see a medical professional the second they feel they should. You know your body better than anywhere, so if something feels serious then there is no point hoping it will go away. It's best to see a professional, that way if there is a problem you can nip it in the bud right away and eliminate it. When problems are left unchecked they grow bigger and cause more damage. One of the most common symptoms of throat cancer would be a sore throat that does not get better in 1 or 2 weeks, even with medicine and antibiotics. Another sign would be an unusual swelling or lump in the neck. Sure, if you recently had an injury there that could make sense, but if it appears out of nowhere that is a cause of concern. If a person has difficulty swallowing then that could be a concern and indicator of cancer. Maybe hoarseness with a person's voice that doesn't improve within 1-2 weeks could be a symptom. Also, abnormal breathing, neck pain and weigh loss all could be indicators of throat cancer. The truth is that nobody 100% knows for certain what causes cancer. Sure smoking cigarettes isn't good for you as well as eating 50 donuts a day. One of the best things someone can do to not only prevent cancer, but stop it would be to take their vitamins. I know it sounds dumb, but many vitamins like the B ones have to do with improving cell health. Plus they play a big role in the immune system that can fight off a cancerous cell. Apart from these vitamins there are a lot of herbal remedies, which can work wonders. If you are interested in how herbal remedies and supplements can improve health I strongly recommend you check out a report and video guide I created. It talks about what someone should be looking for when buying herbs and supplements. Also, it talks about other alternative health strategies and what to take for skincare, fitness and even weight loss. My dog has lung cancer. (read desc)

00:58
I do not own this song. it goes to its rightful owner. About a month ago, we saw my dog was coughing and losing weight. we went to go to the vet and he examined him. he said he didn't feel anything and his lungs sounded clear. he started gagging, coughing, losing more weight, and he was less energetic. we went to check last week for an x-ray. my dad told me he was fine. but today he told me he has lung cancer and limes disease. therefore they cannot treat him with chemo because he is too old. i have been crying all day and i wish he was doing better. they said he might have days, weeks, or even months to live. he won't be here for my birthday and that is all i want. i want him to be here for me. he always greets me when i get home from school. and he sleeps right by me to protect me. there is no other dog like him. he will never be replaced. there will forever be a hole where he sits .in my heart. stay strong, buddy. stay here for me. i love you so freaking much no one will ever understand.😭 (UPDATE) about a month ago he coughed up blood, and we had to put him down three days later. He is playfully running with his family on rainbow bridge and to this day i still cry about him. Thankfully, a sanctuary planted a tree in Nevada just for him. we love you Cheddar, fly high

How to Stop Cough in 1-2 Min Fast (Breathe Easy Exercise to Get Rid of Coughing)

06:35
How to stop and get rid of cough fast (even at night) - Stop cough - Cough cure and most natural treatment. This video explains a simple breathing exercise to eliminate coughing in 2 minutes or less. This natural remedy for chronic or persistent cough was invented by Soviet physicians and tested on thousands of patients with cold, asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD, emphysema, bronchitis, tuberculosis and many other health problems (even HIV-AIDS and lung cancer). Over 90% of people with chronic cough could testify that they could get rid of cough really fast. The exercise also is the foundation of Buteyko breathing exercises to increase body oxygen levels. It can be used to get rid of cold and stop cough naturally (at night too) since it increases body oxygen levels. For more info about causes and treatment of dry cough, see http://www.e-breathing.com/dry-cough/ . There are 3 exercises how to get rid of cough fast. First one requires the person to learn how to cough with the mouth closed. The next exercise teaches how to cough with one's mouth and nose closed in order to increase body oxygen content. The last and most important exercise is Buteyko reduced breathing exercise. These breathing exercises how to get rid of cough fast are explained by Dr. Artour Rakhimov (NormalBreathing.com). All these techniques how to get rid of cough fast can be used during night sleep as well. If you suffer from chronic or persistent coughing at night, you need to avoid supine sleep (or sleeping on one's back) that exacerbates problems with coughing. Best sleep positions to prevent or stop persistent or chronic coughing are either on your left side or on the chest (tummy). All these breathing exercises are done with nose breathing only and can be used by people with asthma, COPD, bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, tuberculosis, HIV-AIDS and many other conditions. This exercise also helps people who suffer from coughing and shortness of breath: http://www.e-breathing.com/symptoms/shortness-of-breath/ . These breathing techniques for chronic or persistent coughing were developed by Dr. K Buteyko and his colleagues. The main remedy is called the Buteyko reduced breathing exercise. You can find more details about how to stop cough fast here: http://www.normalbreathing.com/stop-coughing-naturally.php . Problems with chronic or constant cough are very common during sleep or at night. This symptom takes place in people with asthma, bronchitis, COPD, cystic fibrosis and many other conditions. These most natural remedies can be used during sleep too. If you get more than 30 seconds for the body oxygen test, you will not have any problems with cough, including persistent or chronic cough. Similarly, you can quickly reduce dry cough that is not accompanied with production of mucus of phlegm. In cases of coughing due to acute lung infections, this exercise helps to improve the immune system due to increased O2 levels in body cells. Even faster results can be achieved when a person applies breathing devices that allow use of essential oils, such as eucaliptus oil and tea tree oil. Among such devices are the Frolov breathing device and the Amazing DIY breathing device which can be used as inhalers. The YouTube URL for this video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqoKp9MLInQ /. Know the Cancer that Can Take You Breath Away.

00:06
The word cancer always screams death. Cancer can affect any part or organ of our body and is associated with scads of physical and psychological changes experienced by an individual. One of the commonest being lung cancer, is a type that begins in the lungs. Lungs carry out the important function of supplying body with oxygen and releasing out carbon dioxide. With the integration of vast knowledge of medicine and technology, ceasing or slowing the progression of cancer has been done successfully. Therefore, let us understand a few signs and symptoms that indicate lung cancer and can be observed by an individual. * Unexplained weight loss: This is the commonest and noticeable sign of cancer. The weight loss due to cancer happens even when an individual is not following a rigorous weight-loss schedule or a strict diet. * Cough that does not go away: For cough that lasts for long should be considered as an indication of an underlying disease. When it comes to lung cancer, the cough doesn’t go away because the growing tumour interferes with normal movement of mucus up and out of the lungs. * Coughing up blood: Blood along with cough is also an indication towards lung cancer as it causes bleeding in the airway. * Shortness of breath with activity: People with lung cancer can experience shortness of breath as the cancer grows and blocks the major airways or cause fluid to accumulate around the lungs. * Pneumonia: Recurrent episodes of pneumonia with fever, chills and chest pain is sometimes the first sign of lung cancer. * Bronchitis: Bronchitis is not a sign or symptom of lung cancer, but is included here to create awareness that if someone with chronic bronchitis develops lung cancer, the cough due to bronchitis will get worse. This is because the cancer grows into the blood vessels and cause blood to be coughed up in the phlegm. Individuals with bronchitis and lung cancer, tend to wheeze while breathing as the cancer grows into or press on the bronchi. Now that we know about lung cancer and its signs and symptoms, one question remains unanswered, “Is it curable?" Research is still going on for finding the right cure of lung cancer. However, it is important to understand the risk factors associated with lung cancer. People who smoke have the greatest risk of lung cancer. The risk of lung cancer increases with the length of time and number of cigarettes smoked by an individual. Other factors that increase the risk are exposure to second-hand smoke, radon gas, asbestos and other carcinogens. However, environmental and genetic factors cannot be controlled. Therefore, keeping a check on the risk factors of lung cancer and seeking immediate help for signs and symptoms observed can help in curing or slowing the progression of disease. euronews science - Spanish doctors take aim at Lung cancer

02:01
http://www.euronews.com/ The Catalan Institute of Oncology in Barcelona, Spain has recently presented the results of a new technique for treating lung cancer, one of the most widespread cancers, especially in men. It is ultra- precise radiotherapy, able to target a very high dose of radiation with maximum accuracy even in very small lung tumors, without damaging the surrounding healthy tissues. The main advantage of this technique is that is synchronized with the breath. The lung is normally very difficult to treat with radiotherapy because it moves when breathing. "First of all, we have the advantage that the patient is not operated on. And then, instead of seven weeks continuously, the treatment is done in a few, short sessions, and it is over at the most in two weeks," says the head of Oncology at Bellvitige hospital, Dr. Ferran Guedea. Scientists plan to use this technique in patients that cannot be treated surgically, because of their age or the increased risk caused by other pathologies. "In the past, only 30 percent of the patients treated with conventional techniques gained an extra 2 years. Now we obtain a 70-80 percent survival rate," says Dr. Arturo Navarro. The new technique has already been tested in more than 70 patients since 2008 and the results seem encouraging. "When they told him that he had this illness, then the doctor got to work, and well.... now it is as if he never had anything," said one delighted wife who had feared she was about to lose her husband. Thanks to the encouraging results, scientists want to extend the technique to other types of tumors, such as liver, bone, or prostate tumors. CT scans - Lung cancer

01:42
My mom (age:64) Asian diagnosed with lung cancer. Summary: She is diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer with rib cage bone metastasis. X-ray, CT on Thorax and Adomen, MRI on spine, blood test, Sputum cytology taken. CT scan show diffused nodules on both lung with consolidation on the upper left lobe. MRI shows compression fracture on T9 and T12 and minor press on spinal code. Blood test shows elevation of CEA tumor marker, 50x of normal reading. Sputum cytology suspect of Adenocarcinomas. Treatments: She has RT therapy for 2 weeks to treat the back pain followed by a week rest before Iressa intake for 6 days. Before the Iressa, she is on oxygen support but she is able to put it off for hours. After the iressa, she relied on the oxygen support more heavily and still breathless. There is an acute onset of dyspnea or worsening of the breathlessness, with cough and fever. She is under antibiotic and cough mixture to control the lung infection. Diagnosis (details) before treatment: Radiograph of the chest - There are extensive patchy confluent parenchymal opacities in both lungs with a larger opacity in the left upper/mid lung (measuring 3 x 4 cm); these are likely of infectious etiology. An underlying mass in the left upper/mid lung cannot be excluded. There are no pleural effusions. The heart size is within normal limits.Mild degenerative changes of the spine are noted. Blood Test: Alphafetoprotein 13 ug/L (0-9 normal) CEA 252 ug/L (0-5 normal) CA125 15 U/mL (0-35 normal) CA19-9 12 U/mL (0-35 normal) Sputum cytology - Atypical cells suspicious of adenocarcinoma (3ml of bloodstained mucoid fluid was used, 4 slides examined show a moderate cell yield. Atypical cells showing enlarged nuclei with coarse chromatin and pleomorphic nucleoli are noted. The cytoplasm are vacuolated. Microorganism and inflammatory cells including neutrophils and lymphocytes are noted in the background) CT THORAX AND ABDOMEN IV contrast-enhanced multi-slice contiguous axial sections of the thorax and abdomen were obtained. Total 90 ml of intravenous Omnipaque 350 were administered as contrast medium. Comparison was made with previous study dated 05/02/07. Diffuse subcentimeter nodules are seen in both lungs with areas of coalescence. Collapse consolidation of the anterior segment of the left upper lobe with some heterogeneous enhancement near the hilum. There is no pleural effusion detected. The tracheobronchial tree is unremarkable. Enlarged right paratracheal, pertracheal, subcarinal and bilateral hilar lymph nodes are noted. A few right supraclavicular and left axillary lymph nodes are also seen. The mediastinal vessels, cardiac chambers show normal opacification. The visualized thoracic aorta is of normal caliber with no significant thrombus formation. The liver is enlarged and again shows multiple large cysts. Mild interval increase in size of the segment 6 cyst now measuring 10.3x8.3 cm. This is seen displacing the right kidney inferiorly. No suspicious focal lesion is seen. The hepatic and portal vessels show normal enhancement. The biliary tree is not dilated. Gallstones are seen. No evidence of cholecystitis. The visualized pancreas, spleen, kidneys, adrenals and opacified bowel loops are unremarkable. Multiple sclerotic foci are noted along the sternum, thoracolumbar and sacral spine compatible with mestastasis. Compression fracture of T9 vertebral bodies noted. Metastatic body lesions involving the left scapula, right 6th, left 4th, 9th and 10th ribs are noted. Comment: - Collapse of the anterior segment of the left upper lobe with some heterogeneous enhancement near the hilum. Underlying malignancy cannot be excluded. Bronchoscopic biopsy is suggested. - The pulmonary nodules in both lungs are suggestive of metastasis. - Mediastinal lumphadenopathy - Diffuse bony metastasis as described above. - Hepatic cysts, the one in segment 6 showing mild interval increase in size. - Gallstones.

For a few minutes get me away from here, For a few minutes wipe away my tears. For I am lost right now as the ocean deep; I am low my friend and how my heart does sink. Yeah I am lost right now as the ocean deep; I am low my friend and how my heart does sink. It's like there's cancer in my blood, It's like there's water in my lungs, And I can't take another step, Please tell me I am not undone. It's like there's fire [under] my skin And I'm drowning from within - I can't take another breath, Please tell me I am not undone. I've been searching for an exit but I'm lost inside my head; Where I spend every waking moment wishing this would end. I can't take another step, I cannot live inside my mind, I can't face another day, I am so fucking tired. For I am lost right now as the ocean deep, I am low my friend and how my heart does sink. Yeah I am lost right now as the ocean deep, I am low my friend and how my heart does sink. It's like there's cancer in my blood, it's like there's water in my lungs And I can't take another step -- Please tell me I am not undone. I'll take another step for you -- I'll shed my tears until I drown, or until I am underground. I'll take another breath for you... Will you still be there when I'm home, out from the great unknown? It's like there's cancer in my blood, It's like there's water in my lungs, And I can't take another step -- Please tell me I am not undone. It's like there's fire [under] my skin And I'm drowning from within. I can't take another breath -- Please tell me I am not undone.

"Let Me Love You"- Choreography by Magdalena Naruszewicz

05:49
This dance is dedicated to my dad, who has been battling stage 4 Lung Cancer since December 2014. recently, his condition has gotten drastically worse. He is under a ventilator and on many pain relievers. He cannot breathe on his own, and is in a pain that is unexplainable. My family and I are just as scared as he is about what will happen next. I created this dance to tell him that we love him so much and we need him. That we will "never let him go, and never let him down". That we love him and don't want him to give up. that no matter how hard it gets, we won't give up and he shouldn't either. That through this hell of a ride of uncertainty, he will get through it, and that there is light at the end of this dark and difficult tunnel. TALENT SHOW 12-15-16 3rd Place

(Cover) Breathe - Greg Maroney + (special cat appearance)

05:36
I finally decided to upload this version after several attempts recording this cover without mistakes. The moment was priceless, my cat suddenly sneaked in the scene, scratched her itchy skin then skidded off. It was like she told me that this version should be uploaded no matter what. I hope you bear with my mistakes. This piece is by far the most difficult for me (among my other covers prior this, or even in the future). But this is my most fave of all new age piano pieces. Greg Maroney is a genius composer, he interprets this piece with almost unnoticeable changes in cadences that turned out to be briliant. His rubato is original to him and cannot be copied. "Breathe" reminds me of catching your breath. Like you need to breathe properly in order to assimilate the energy around you. That's the reason this is special to me; it is a song for my dad who passed away almost 6 years ago because of lung cancer. During his difficult times battling with the disease, this song was his reminder to continue fighting and breathing. Please support Mr. Maroney by visiting his site: www.gregmaroney.com , you can buy his pieces there. I love this piano piece, so I don't intend to infringe copyright. Thanks. [I've treated my cat for fleas and she stopped scratching now].

Swallowing, or deglutition, is the process by which food passes from the mouth, through the pharynx and into the esophagus. As simple as it might seem to healthy people, swallowing is actually a very complex action that requires an extremely precise coordination with breathing since both of these processes share the same entrance - the pharynx. Failure to coordinate would result in choking or pulmonary aspiration. Swallowing involves over twenty muscles of the mouth, throat and esophagus which are controlled by several cortical areas and by the swallowing centers in the brainstem. The brain communicates with the muscles through several cranial nerves. Swallowing consists of three phases: 1. Oral or buccal phase: this is the voluntary part of swallowing, the food is moistened with saliva and chewed, food bolus is formed and the tongue pushes it to the back of the throat (the pharynx). This process is under neural control of several areas of cerebral cortex including the motor cortex. 2. Pharyngeal phase starts with stimulation of tactile receptors in the oropharynx by the food bolus. The swallow reflex is initiated and is under involuntary neuromuscular control. The following actions are taken to ensure the passage of food or drink into the esophagus: - The tongue blocks the oral cavity to prevent going back to the mouth. - The soft palate blocks entry to the nasal cavity. - The vocal folds close to protect the airway to the lungs. The larynx is pulled up with the epiglottis flipping over covering the entry to the trachea. This is the most important step since entry of food or drink into the lungs may potentially be life threatening. - The upper esophageal sphincter opens to allow passage to the esophagus. 3. Esophageal phase: food bolus is propelled down the esophagus by peristalsis - a wave of muscular contraction that pushes the bolus ahead of it. The larynx moves down back to original position.

Pulmonary edema: Treatment, Causes and Symptoms

08:54
Pulmonary edema: Treatment, Causes and Symptoms Pulmonary edema occurs when fluid accumulates in the air sacs of the lungs the alveoli making it difficult to breathe. This interferes with gas exchange and can cause respiratory failure. Pulmonary edema can be acute (sudden onset), or chronic (occurring more slowly over time). If it is acute, it is classed as a medical emergency needing immediate attention. The most common cause of pulmonary edema is congestive heart failure, where the heart cannot keep up with the demands of the body. Treatment of pulmonary edema usually focuses on improving respiratory function and dealing with the source of the problem. It generally includes providing additional oxygen and medications to treat the underlying conditions. Fast facts on pulmonary edema: Pulmonary edema is a condition involving fluid buildup in the lungs. Sudden onset (acute), pulmonary edema is a medical emergency. Symptoms include shortness of breath, cough, decreased exercise tolerance or chest pain.

Twelve Cancer Signs Mostly Ignored by Women

08:57
Women should not ignore these Cancer signs. A woman’s body is constantly changing. The older she gets, the more her body will change. Unfortunately some of the changes that women go through may seem normal, but in actuality they’re not. In some cases, these symptoms can be cancer signs. Timestamps: 1. Changes In the Breasts: 1:12 2. Bloating: 1:44 3. Bleeding Between Periods: 2:30 4. Changes In The Nails: 2:53 5. Blood In the Urine Or Stool: 3:36 6. Lymph Nodes Changing: 3:56 7. Can’t Swallow: 4:29 8. Unexpected Weight Loss: 4:54 9. Heartburn: 5:29 10. Changes of the Mouth: 6:15 11. Developing a Fever: 6:30 12. A Cough: 6:56 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Here are 12 common cancer signs that are mostly ignored by most women. 1. Changes In the Breasts: In many cases, a lump on the breast doesn’t necessarily mean cancer. But if you notice a lump on your breast, you should consult your doctor. Also, if you notice any nipple discharge, nipples turning inward, or any redness or scaling of your nipple, make sure you tell your doctor that as well. 2. Bloating: According to Marleen Myers, an oncologist at NYU Langone Medical Center, women are natural bloaters. Constant bloating can be one of the common cancer signs that many women ignore. It could be colon cancer, ovarian cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, or even pancreatic cancer. Never ignore any unusual changes to your body! 3. Bleeding Between Periods: If you’re continuously spotting between periods, go speak to your doctor. Any bleeding that is not part of the menstrual cycle may be due to many different causes. Your doctor will want to rule out endometrial cancer, so be sure to notice any changes to your menstrual cycle. 4. Changes In The Nails: A small brown vertical stripe in one of your toenails might be a sign of melanoma. So if you notice any peculiar changes to your toe nails, you might want to contact your doctor to ensure it may not be a sign of melanoma. 5. Blood In the Urine Or Stool: In most cases, blood in the urine or stool is caused by hemorrhoids. But it can also be a sign of colon cancer. If you’re bleeding from an area that doesn’t usually bleed, consult your doctor. Especially if this bleeding lasts for more than two days. 6. Lymph Nodes Changing: In most cases, the lymph nodes change when they become infected. The infections are usually harmless and the body fights them off. But in some cases, such as leukemia and lymphoma, they also cause the lymph nodes to swell. If the swelling is present for at least a month, speak to your doctor. 7. Can’t Swallow: It’s natural to have trouble swallowing at times. But if it is happening often, and vomiting and weight loss are also present, you may have throat or stomach cancer. If these symptoms have not subsided after a few weeks, go speak to your doctor so he/she can properly examine you. 8. Unexpected Weight Loss: if you notice that you have not made any changes to your diet or exercise regimen but are still losing weight, visit a medical clinic to rule out the potential for cancer or any other illnesses. 9. Heartburn: Heartburn can be caused by excessive food or alcohol consumption. It will eventually go away with time and rest. If the heartburn does not go away, or it gets worse, it could be stomach, ovaries or throat cancer. In addition, constant heartburn will damage the lining of the esophagus, which can develop into Barrett’s esophagus. This condition raises the risk of developing throat cancer. 10. Changes of the Mouth: For women who smoke, look for white, yellow or gray patches inside your mouth. Cancer sores will also develop, which could be a sign of oral cancer. 11. Developing a Fever: When people develop the flu, they have a fever that will last a couple of days. But a fever that does not subside can mean many different things. Leukemia and other blood cancers can be the cause of the fever. If you have an ongoing fever and cannot determine the cause of it, visit your doctor or the emergency room to determine what may be causing it. 12. A Cough: Most people who develop coughs will see it go away within four weeks. Any cough that lasts longer than a month should not be ignored. If you’re a smoker or are having shortness of breath with this cough, consult your doctor. A cough is the most common sign of lung cancer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestieinc/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.bestie.com/

What is EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA? What does EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA mean?

What is EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA? What does EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA mean? EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA meaning - EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA definition - EOSINOPHILIC PNEUMONIA explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Eosinophilic pneumonia (EP) is a disease in which an eosinophil, a type of white blood cell, accumulates in the lung. These cells cause disruption of the normal air spaces (alveoli) where oxygen is extracted from the atmosphere. Several different kinds of eosinophilic pneumonia exist and can occur in any age group. The most common symptoms include cough, fever, difficulty breathing, and sweating at night. EP is diagnosed by a combination of characteristic symptoms, findings on a physical examination by a health provider, and the results of blood tests and x-rays. Prognosis is excellent once most EP is recognized and treatment with corticosteroids is begun. Eosinophilic pneumonia is divided into different categories depending upon whether a cause can be determined or not. Known causes include certain medications or environmental triggers, parasitic infections, and cancer. EP can also occur when the immune system attacks the lungs, a disease called eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. When a cause cannot be found, the EP is labeled "idiopathic." Idiopathic EP can be divided into "acute eosinophilic pneumonia" (AEP) and "chronic eosinophilic pneumonia" (CEP) depending on the symptoms a person is experiencing. Most types of eosinophilic pneumonia have similar signs and symptoms. Prominent and nearly universal signs and symptoms include cough, fever, difficulty breathing, and night sweats. Acute eosinophilic pneumonia typically follows a rapid course. Fever and cough may develop only one or two weeks before breathing difficulties progress to the point of respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation. Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia usually follows a slower course. Symptoms accumulate over several months and include fever, cough, difficulty breathing, wheezing, and weight loss. Individuals with CEP are often misdiagnosed with asthma before CEP is finally recognized. EP due to medications or environmental exposures is similar and occurs after an exposure to a known offending agent. EP due to parasitic infections has a similar prodrome in addition to a host of different symptoms related to the variety of underlying parasites. EP in the setting of cancer often develops in the context of a known diagnosis of lung cancer, cervical cancer, etc. When eosinophilic pneumonia is related to an illness such as cancer or parasitic infection, treatment of the underlying cause is effective in resolving the lung disease. When due to AEP or CEP, however, treatment with corticosteroids results in a rapid, dramatic resolution of symptoms over the course of one or two days. Either intravenous methylprednisolone or oral prednisone are most commonly used. In AEP, treatment is usually continued for a month after symptoms disappear and the x-ray returns to normal (usually four weeks total). In CEP, treatment is usually continued for three months after symptoms disappear and the x-ray returns to normal (usually four months total). Inhaled steroids such as fluticasone have been used effectively when discontinuation of oral prednisone has resulted in relapse. Because EP affects the lungs, individuals with EP have difficulty breathing. If enough of the lung is involved, it may not be possible for a person to breathe without support. Non-invasive machines such as a bilevel positive airway pressure machine may be used. Otherwise, placement of a breathing tube into the mouth may be necessary and a ventilator may be used to help the person breathe. Eosinophilic pneumonia due to cancer or parasitic infection carries a prognosis related to the underlying illness. AEP and CEP, however, have very little associated mortality as long as intensive care is available and treatment with corticosteroids is given. CEP often relapses when prednisone is discontinued; therefore, some people with CEP require lifelong therapy. Chronic prednisone is associated with many side effects, including increased infections, weakened bones, stomach ulcers, and changes in appearance.

Causes of bronchospasm and how to treat it (COPD/asthma) – Interview with Dr. Artour Rakhimov

08:12
In this video, Dr. Artour Rakhimov addresses the question, “What are the causes of bronchospasm and how to treat it?”. Dr. Artour Rakhimov had hundreds of students who had this problem. Bronchospasm is also called bronchoconstriction. It relates to people that have asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD and other respiratory conditions. Bronchospasm commonly relates to three factors. The first is a constriction of the airways due to spasms of the smooth muscles around the airways. The next factor is inflammation that can be present in only some of the respiratory conditions. Some of these conditions include asthma, cystic fibrosis and bronchitis. Inflammation makes the breathing process even more constricted. The inflamed cells are much larger in size. That means that the diameter of the tube for breathing is much smaller in size. Additionally, healthy people produce a very thin layer of mucus. People with conditions such as asthma have infections. For them the mucus becomes thicker and a colour of green or yellow. Similar mucus can also form in the airways. When airways have inflammation, they do not remove airborne pathogens. This factor can make bronchospasm even stronger because the flow of air is further reduced. There is a page on Normalbreathing site with the title “Bronchoconstriction: Causes and Treatment” http://www.normalbreathing.com/d/bronchoconstriction.php . The Spanish version of this page is here: “Broncoconstricción: causas y tratamiento” http://www.respiracionnormal.org/broncoconstriccion-tratamiento-causas/ . Some people with severe asthma, COPD and other respiratory conditions have all 3 of these factors present. This does not allow an exchange of air in some parts of the lungs. To recover from this condition, it takes years of breathing practice to normalize lung function. The cause of bronchospasm completely relates to hyperventilation. The first factor is the spasm of the smooth muscles of the airways. Spasm of the smooth muscles relates to carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a vasodilator and the best relaxant of the smooth muscles in the body. When people hyperventilate, they breathe about two to three times more than the medical norm. Studies explaining this are on the homepage of Normalbreathing.com. When hyperventilation occurs, people have much lower levels of CO2. Therefore chronic constriction of the airways is maintained. The next factor that occurs with hyperventilation is that inflammation becomes chronic in their bodies. Inflammation relates to hypoxia. According to Dr. Buteyko and over 200 doctors trained by him is that people can remove their inflammation. The Buteyko Method was very successful with asthma. In six clinical trials, doctors reduced medication by over 90 % in just 4-5 months. Asthma patients would have to practice about 90 minutes daily of breathing exercises. Another factor is the overproduction of mucus that relates to the immune system. The body produces extra mucus when there are frequent infections. The suppression of the immune system does not allow effective work against pathogens. The production of this thick layer of mucus that further restricts airflow is from hyperventilation. When students practice breathing retraining, their mucus disappears. Also, drinking sea salt with a glass of water helps to remove mucus. Addressing factors related to hyperventilation is the most natural solution to bronchospasm . People with respiratory disorders that practice one breathing session notice a big difference in how they feel. A long term solution requires a normalization of breathing with about 40 to 50 seconds for the body oxygen test. A Smoker’s Biggest Risk

01:21
It’s the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. Each year more than 200, 000 people are diagnosed with lung cancer. Health experts say the goal is to catch it before a patient starts experiencing symptoms. Dr. Keith Miller, a radiation oncologist on staff at Lee Memorial Health System, says smoking is the most common cause of lung cancer. Lung cancer is an aggressive cancer. Dr. Miller says unfortunately a patient doesn’t show symptoms until late in the course of the disease. The most common symptoms are chronic cough, chest pain, coughing up blood, and shortness of breath. “By the time people have symptoms usually the tumors have grown to a size that it cannot be removed from the lung. Ideally, we like to catch these cancers early so that they can be removed,” said Dr. Miller. He says patients who are at a higher risk for lung cancer are encouraged to get screened. “The studies that have been done have proven a benefit for people between 55 and 75 who have been significant smokers.” During the screening, health experts use a cat scan to look for abnormalities on the patient’s lungs. “If we can find a stage one cancer the cure rate will be as high as 70-80 percent. So that is a great result,” said Dr. Miller. To treat lung cancer patients will undergo radiation therapy or chemo therapy. Health experts stress the survival rate depends strongly on how soon they are able to find the cancer.
