SUGAR FEEDS CANCER: LOW CARB MYTHBUSTING

06:14
FREE EBOOKLET http://www.sweetnaturalliving.com The idea that we should cut out carbohydrates from our diet in an effort to starve the cancer cells from sugar is simply a myth, because it's actually impossible! The idea that cancer cells feed on sugar is correct, however ALL cells are fed by sugar. Cancerous cells cannot be starved by limiting intake of sugar. Starving cancer is simply a misunderstanding of basic physiology! Our body runs on carbohydrates, simple sugars to be exact. This is the preferred fuel for the body. In times of insufficient carbohydrate intake, even in a fasting situation, the body still keeps the blood sugar stable! The cells are fed by the blood, so there's actually no way of starving the cells from sugar. If we eat a high fat diet on the other hand, the excess fat in the bloodstream will now interfere with regulation of blood sugar by insulin and other hormones and as a result our metabolism becomes unstable. Keep a steady intake of carbohydrates, preferably in the form of simple sugars from fruit, at all times for optimum health. Studies have shown time and time again that as the intake of fat goes above 10-20% of total calories, health decline is inevitable. Protein is also best kept below 10% of calories. We're essentially looking at a macronutrient ratio of about 80/10/10, where the majority of our calories come from carbohydrate! In an effort to avoid cancer, we want to support our bodily needs the best we can at all times. Cancer naturally occurs in the body, but the question is how well the body is functioning and how well it is eliminating malfunctioning cells. We need to look at ALL the elements of health if we want to be healthy, not just food. It's about air quality and quantity, water, sleep, rest, activity, sunshine and much more. How Could Blood Sugar be the Cause of Cancer and Heart Disease

05:29
http://www.nutritionforest.com/blood-sugar-support.html http://www.nutritionforest.com Nutrition Forest Blood Sugar Support Made with an superb blend of herbs and nutrients, Blood Sugar Support is formulated to help the body maintain healthy blood sugar levels that are in the normal range. The key herbs include Cinnamon, Gymnema Sylvestre, Banaba, Bitter Melon, and Guggul. Also added are effective amounts of Chromium Picolinate, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. The recommended dose is one capsule three times daily with meals. While eating a sugary snack, fruit, and carbohydrates, it breaks down into glucose (blood sugar) that is important for energy in your cells. In order to get into that glucose into your cells, your body produces insulin that acts like the key unlocking the door. Excess glucose can lead to diabetes but excess insulin or insulin resistance is a problem too. Unfortunately, most people’s blood sugar is not properly balanced. If you’re getting too much glucose, it leads to high blood-sugar levels, which your body can’t break down and stores as fat. Ironically, not getting enough sugar can also lead to putting on extra pounds! Eating too little glucose can lead to a low blood sugar level, causing your body to go into “starvation mode” where it burns your lean muscle instead of the fat – a double whammy to your system and your diet. Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels in the normal range is not only critical for energy and mood, but also for cardiovascular, nervous system, and immune health . Since the typical diet is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars, it’s no wonder that such a high proportion of our population has blood sugar concerns. Hectic lifestyles, chronic stress , and genetic predispositions can also easily upset the delicate balance of physiological events that influence glucose and insulin levels. It is very important that blood sugar levels are kept as close to normal as possible. For most people with diabetes, a healthy range is between 90 and 130 mg/dl before meals and less than 180 mg/dl at one to two hours after a meal (see chart below). A doctor or health care provider can tell a person with diabetes about how and when to test blood sugar. It is helpful to keep a record of blood sugar readings several times during the day. diabetes type 2 diabetes diabetes symptoms symptoms of diabetes type 1 diabetes hypoglycemia glucose prediabetes diabetes mellitus low blood sugar blood sugar levels normal blood sugar low blood sugar symptoms hypoglycemia symptoms normal blood sugar level high blood sugar symptoms of low blood sugar glucose levels symptoms of high blood sugar blood glucose levels normal glucose levels high blood sugar symptoms glucose test glucometer how to lower blood sugar blood sugar chart juvenile diabetes symptoms of hypoglycemia fasting blood sugar blood sugar range what is normal blood sugar normal blood glucose levels diabetes test normal sugar level signs of low blood sugar normal blood sugar range blood sugar test what is hypoglycemia glucose meter high glucose levels blood sugar levels chart signs of high blood sugar causes of diabetes signs of hypoglycemia diabetes treatment normal fasting blood sugar continuous glucose monitoring blood glucose meters blood glucose sugar level lower blood sugar foods that lower blood sugar blood sugar monitor glucose level chart high glucose low blood sugar levels glucose monitor

Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz ***DOWNLOAD THIS RESEARCH DATA FROM THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION: https://www.iarc.fr/en/publications/p... Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about what he would eat if you have cancer. Cancer is dependent on sugar metabolism (glycolysis). The uptake of glucose is 10-12 times more for cancer cells than normal cell. Glucose increases tumor growth. High blood sugars can increase the risk of breast cancer. PET scans detect where cancers are due to the fact that they eat sugar. WHAT TO DO: 1. Avoid all sugars 2. Consume cruciferous 3. Consume all organic foods 4. Garlic is the #1 food for cancer in that studies show the most positive impact. 5. Get a good amount of vitamin D from the sun. Did I Almost DIE Here? Low Blood Sugar (40s) on the Keto Diet...

10:39
https://blog.priceplow.com/keto-supplements Mike panics after seeing a blood sugar score of *49* mg/dL. But was this really something for him to be concerned about? Hypoglycemia is anything under *70*. But with a blood ketone reading of *2.8mmol/L* and having been fat-adapted for months, I'm playing a different ballgame now, and honestly felt great at the time. New and old research also shows that this sometimes happens when some humans get deeper into ketosis. Let's take a look: 1. The glucose ketone index calculator: a simple tool to monitor therapeutic efficacy for metabolic management of brain cancer: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4367849/ (Dr. Thomas Seyfried) 2. Features of a successful therapeutic fast of 382 days' duration https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2495396/pdf/postmedj00315-0056.pdf (W.K. Stewart, Laura Fleming) 3. "Cancer is a Metabolic Disease" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEE-oU8_NSU (Dr. Seyfried again) Long story short? I was basically in "true therapeutic ketosis", but I think this is a bit too far for me and my conservative personality for now. I wasn't eating enough and was too far fasted. So I am going to try to keep blood sugar over 60 and ketones between 1.5 to 2.0, since that's where I FEEL GOOD -- but this is NOT based off of ANY medical advise!!! That's just what I like! We cannot give advise, so talk to your doctor immediately if you have an issue. Were I to have both low blood sugar and low ketone numbers, I would IMMEDIATELY eat sugar and call paramedics. I do not have any safe range recommendations though. As always, see a doctor and consult with them regularly when undertaking any new diet or supplementation program, especially one that is not FDA approved. The cell cycle is controlled by the tumor suppressor genes. 60 billion cells diet each day, but you have 100 trillion cells. Mutations then occur, which alter the cell death and this can cause tumor and cancer. Mutation are caused by chemicals and radiation and even viruses. How can glutathione help in diabetic patients? Diabetics normally have low glutathione levels. As such, their defense against oxidative stress is weakened. Research has shown that using Asea increases the effectiveness of the body`s natural production of glutathione by 500% and some studies show as high as 800%.How can glutathione help in diabetic patients?Diabetics normally have low glutathione levels. As such, their defense against oxidative stress is weakened.Oxidative stress has been implicated in the development and complications of diabetes mellitus. Abnormally high levels of free radicals and simultaneous decline of antioxidant defense of the body can lead to cellular damage and the development of insulin resistance.Glutathione helps diabetic patients by reducing oxidative stress, thereby protecting them from complications of this metabolic disease. In other words, glutathione strengthens the body's own antioxidant system by increasing the levels of this powerful antioxidant. The result is decreased oxidative stress. And decreased stress means that our body is able to fight the disease better. The master antioxidant can therefore help in lowering the chances of diabetes from progressing. And it may also help prevent complications of diabetes from occurring such as cataracts, heart disease, stroke, and kidney diseases.Oxidative stress has been implicated in the development and complications of diabetes mellitus. What causes low blood sugar levels in Diabetic individuals? - Dr. Mahesh DM

04:57
What are the causes of hypoglycaemia in those with diabetes? Hypoglycaemia is one of the most important and dangerous complication for those who are on treatment for diabetes. The most common cause is the drug itself. Drugs like sulfonylureas which is known as glimipride, gliclacide, gliplizide, glibenclamide, all these drugs stimulate insulin continuously so they are likely to cause sugar levels to go down. Second drugs are insulin. So the reasons to cause sugar levels to go down, number 1 is reduced food intake. It is very common as the patient take the medicine and forget to eat normally especially in those who are taking insulin and sulfonylureas. The other drugs like metformin or PP4 inhibitors and to some extent glitazones usually don’t contribute to low glucose directly. To some extent glp-1 analogues can bring down sugar levels which are taken in the form of injection. Also there are drugs like ripaglinide which are short acting drugs which can also bring down the sugar levels. So drugs are the most common cause and second is reduced food intake or a mismatch between the drug and the food can cause the sugar levels to go down. What are the other causes? One is any dysfunction of the liver. Liver is the store house of glycogen and important source of immediate release of glucose. Any liver disease like hepatitis or alcoholic liver disease or excessive alcohol intake can itself bring down the sugar levels drastically and cause hypoglycaemia. Second reason is that the liver can get damaged because of cancer or cirrhosis which can occur in those with excessive fat deposit which is known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease where the liver is destroyed or damaged and therefore the sugar levels come down. Third cause which is the most common is renal dysfunction. Most commonly kidney damage will cause the insulin levels to be retained in the body because it is not utilised and metabolised. So whenever we see a patient with low glucose levels we should check for the liver function and the kidney function. There are other low causes for the low glucose especially those who are taking some antibiotics like gatifloxacin sometimes hydroxychloroquine, anti malarial drugs. We also see in patients who have septicaemia and a severe infection to get their blood sugar down. One of the other important and life threatening cause is adrenal dysfunction which can be in the form of hypopituitarism i.e. the pituitary is not functioning well and the adrenal gland which is situated above the kidney is not functioning. Primary or secondary adrenal insufficiency can cause hypoglycaemia. Another rare cause for hypothyroidism is severe hypothyroidism where the body’s appetite and metabolism is very low. In any individual we need to find out the cause before we actually go for appropriate treatment. In an emergency we need to give some glucose but we need to find out the cause which can be a imbalance in food intake, liver damage, kidney damage, severe infection, adrenal insufficiency either primary or secondary and sometimes severe hypothyroidism.

Clean Eating 101: The 7 Negative Effects Of Sugar On Physical Health

But… there are hidden dangers of eating sugar, particularly if it’s artificially added sugar, and especially if you’re eating it regularly. From your brain to your immune system to your taste buds, the negative effects of sugar on physical health are high. 1. Brain (0:45) So, what does sugar do to your brain? Sugar activates the reward centers in your brain in the same way as drugs like heroin and cocaine. Sugar is highly addictive and these reward driven feedback loops lead to cravings and addiction in much the same way. This is damaging to your brain, and in fact, Alzheimer’s disease and age onset dementia are now being dubbed type 3 diabetes, due to them being a glucose-insulin resistance and sugar disease in your brain. 2. Energy (2:04) What happens when you eat too much sugar? You get a massive rise in blood sugar levels, followed by a crash in energy and a craving for more sugar to boost you back up again. This vicious cycle is one of the main reasons you may eat more sugar. If you control your blood sugar levels evenly throughout the day, your energy would be stable, and you wouldn’t need the sugary ‘pick-me-up’ to boost your energy. 3. Immune System (3:29) Increased levels of sugar make your immune system act like it’s drunk. Your cells are tired, lethargic, and do not detect pathogens. This leads to a low immunity level and an increased likeliness of sickness. In fact, lack of sleep and a high sugar diet is the quickest way to fall ill. Avoiding high sugar foods will make sure your immune system is working properly and you better protect yourself from illness and disease. 4. Fat Cells (4:11) High sugar foods don't keep you full, and even though they’re calorie dense, they're not satiating. You can put away a bag of skittles or a bar of chocolate and feel hungry again within 20 minutes. This leads to you eating more to curb your hunger and therefore increasing the number of calories you eat each day. This pattern over a long period will lead to fat gain and increase the negative effects of sugar on your body. 5. Taste buds (5:17) A high sugar diet will lead to a change in the perceived sweetness of foods on your taste buds. This can occur even if your sugar intake is from sugar substitutes, like diet sodas. Your taste buds get so used to being bombarded with sweetness that they are no longer as receptive to a sugary taste. You’ll need more sugar to get the same level of sweet taste. When you move away from a high sugar diet, your taste buds re-calibrate, and you’ll start to appreciate the good flavors of healthier food. 6. Liver (6:44) Your liver is your body’s main metabolic organ, and it stores sugar to be released when we need it. Your liver converts fructose sugar to fat. In today’s mass production of food, most fructose is being artificially added to processed foods in the form of high fructose corn syrup. This fructose storage can lead to ‘fatty liver’, where the liver cells actually get replaced by fat cells. Your liver will not function properly, meaning it doesn’t process toxins and doesn’t metabolize fat. 7. Cancer (8:13) Sugar feeds cancer and fuels the growth of tumors in the body. With the fuel it needs to grow, and the reduction in your immune system (also caused by sugar), you’re setting up a perfect environment for cancer. Low sugar and low carb diets are being used and researched as a way of naturally reducing tumor size in cancer sufferers. Summary (9:22) Excess sugar has negative impacts right throughout your body. That's not to say you can never eat something sweet. The lesson here is to avoid things like candy, sodas, high sugar fruit juices, etc. and stick with things like whole fruit. Sugary indulgences should be left for treats, not an every day snack item. I hope the information above has helped answer the question "Why is sugar bad for you?" Ketogenic Diet - The BIG Mistake

04:52
Watch the whole keto series at http://herbworks.com/ketogenic-diet-the-big-mistake/ The ketogenic diet comes in many different levels. There is “nutritional ketosis” which is the ketogenic diet best suited for athletes and people wanting a healthier fat based diet to lose weight. It’s also great for controlling your appetite and is very similar to a Paleo diet. Nutritional ketosis consists of good fats, animal protein and lots of fresh, green food. Some fruit and grains are allowed but kept to a minimum. You want elevated ketones and lower blood sugar. The idea is to be alternating between both as fuel for your metabolism. The next level of the ketogenic diet is medical ketosis. This is for someone with cancer or epilepsy. Medical ketosis requires a stricter program and tighter control over your carbohydrate intake. Fruit and grains are initially eliminated altogether. The idea of medical ketosis is to control glucose and use ketones as the primary fuel. This level of the ketogenic diet is much harder to maintain but if you’re using it as a treatment for cancer, there is no better motivator when it comes to diet. Medical ketosis requires blood sugar levels around 70 and ketones above 4. This creates a glucose ketone index of around 1, which is the so called zone in where cancer cells are starving to death. It doesn’t matter if your treatment is chemo, radiation, herbs, nutrition or other therapies. Once you weaken cancer cells through basic starvation, it’s easier to eradicate them altogether when your chosen method of treatment. 🍬WARNING: Why Low Blood Sugar Can Be BAD For Your Health

07:09
A simple formula that lowered my uncle’s blood sugar by 46%, naturally: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/LowerSugarNaturally Or go and watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1w65TPrd88 =============================================== 🍬WARNING: Why Low Blood Sugar Can Be BAD For Your Health =============================================== Today’s topic is for anyone who is interested in following a low-carb diet -- whether it’s for weight loss or lowering your blood sugar or both. These days, everyone is on some “fad” diet that’s usually some kind of an “extreme” eating plan. They might be on a very high protein diet or high fat diet or intermittent fasting diet or low carb diet or no-carb ketogenic diet or something similar. And the end result is always that people canNOT sustain this type of eating long-term. They feel deprived, they get frustrated, they have low energy, they lose will power… which ends up causing them to feel like crap, give up and gain all the weight back. Not only is this bad for your physically - but it really kills you emotionally. Hard To Exercise & Build Muscle I think one of the most important ingredients for life-long health and better hormones is exercise. This includes BOTH aerobic (such as walking) and anaerobic (such as lifting weights). However, it’s very hard to put in the effort, or have energy or have a good, muscular workout if you’re on low carbs all the time. It’s impossible. You’ll quickly lose strength and muscle. Screws Up Your Hormones Another problem is that long term low carb diets decreases thyroid production - which as you know, is one of the keys for a faster metabolism. And this negatively affects women more than men. Also, low carb diets increase cortisol - your stress hormone. For men, this causes an immediate decrease and shut down in testosterone… which, means lower libido, happiness and muscle loss. Lack Of FIber Most people lack fiber in their diets as it is. Low carb diets dramatically lowers your fiber and thus, reduces bowel movements, causes constipation and is the leading cause of colon cancer. Which by the way, is increasing these days. Lack Of Vitamins, Minerals & Antioxidants The other problem with eliminating most carbohydrates is the lack of key nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Low or no fruits, vegetables, healthy carbs and grains causes this and no amount of multivitamin supplements can replace what’s naturally found in nature, in the correct ratios. I mean, it’s bad enough that the foods are already lacking in nutrients these days, but by eliminating carbs guarantees a massive deficiency. Replacing Carbs With the Wrong Foods The other problem I see is that people are replacing carbohydrates with the wrong foods -- higher proteins and bad, unhealthy fats. Increase In Cravings Finally, the low carb diets tend to cause cravings, especially for sugar. Your brain and muscles like glucose. Too big of a drop in blood sugar causes an increase in hunger and appetite. How To Do It Correctly One thing I want to make clear is that I’m NOT against lowering your carbohydrates, I just don’t believe in “low” carb diets. To keep it simple, if you want to lower your carbs, follow an “isocaloric” diet. That means ⅓ of your calories come from carbs, protein and fats. Super easy to follow. For carbs, eat lower glycemic/load carbs - such as vegetables, yams, sweet potatoes, squash, white rice (yes, NOT brown) and some fruits that are in season. Make sure you have some fiber with all meals, as well as healthy fats -- such as olive, macadamia nut, coconut, fish and raw nuts and seeds (no cashews or peanuts). And then some healthy proteins such as pastured eggs, collagen, grass fed beef, salmon and small amounts of free range chicken. That’s it. And if you’re really concerned about your blood sugar levels because your blood test showed that it’s elevated or your want to prevent or reverse diabetes, then add in specific herbs, vitamins and minerals that are clinically proven to help lower your blood sugar AND most importantly, improve insulin sensitivity. Just take these supplements with all of your carb meals - that’s it. Very simple and easy to follow. You’ll feel great and look younger. And it won’t feel like “work”, nor will be feel deprived. Best of all, you can enjoy your food - including when you go out to eat. Remember, you obviously do NOT want high blood sugar, but you also don’t want “low” either. ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. How dogs can sniff out diabetes

04:24
A chemical found in our breath could provide a flag to warn of dangerously-low blood sugar levels in patients with type 1 diabetes, according to new research the University of Cambridge. The finding, published today in the journal Diabetes Care, could explain why some dogs can be trained to spot the warning signs in patients. The researchers found that levels of the chemical isoprene rose significantly at hypoglycaemia – in some cases almost doubling. They believe that dogs may be sensitive to the presence of isoprene, and suggest that it may be possible to develop new detectors that can identify elevated levels of isoprene in patients at risk.

Top 10 Foods for Diabetes Control

05:38
Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which there are high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period. Symptoms of high blood sugar include frequent urination, increased thirst, and increased hunger. If left untreated, diabetes can cause many serious long-term complications include heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney failure, foot ulcers, and damage to the eyes. What you eat can help you to control and fight your diabetes. Research proves that making a few key changes to your diet such as eating more produce, fewer refined carbohydrates, plenty of lean protein can help in improving your blood-sugar and cuts the risk of diabetes-related complications. Certain foods are packed with nutrients that stabilise blood sugar levels, protect your heart, and even save your vision from the damaging effects of diabetes. These top 10 foods can help you in controlling Diabetes. Spinach The American Diabetes Association calls spinach a diabetes super food and recommends that you regularly include this dark green leafy non-starchy vegetable in your diet. Besides being rich in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, spinach possesses a low glycemic index, which means eating it will help support healthy and stable blood glucose levels. Spinach is low in carbohydrates, containing only 0.83 grams per cup. The fact that spinach contains so few carbohydrates makes it an excellent choice on a diabetes diet. Broccoli Broccoli contains a compound called sulforaphane, which triggers several anti-inflammatory processes that improve blood sugar control and protect blood vessels from the cardiovascular damage that’s often a consequence of diabetes. Olive oil Olive oil is recognized as one of the healthiest edible oils since it contains less saturated fats. It is rich in Omega 9 and Omega 3 which help maintain the flexibility of blood vessels, allowing good blood flow. Olive oil, especially extra virgin, contains tyrosol phenolic compounds such as oleuropein and oleocanthal. These compounds are nature’s most powerful anti-oxidants. Sweet potatoes Sweet potatoes are a good carbohydrate choice for diabetics. The glycemic index of sweet potatoes is a lot lower, which is better for diabetes control, according to a 2002 article in the "American Journal of Clinical Nutrition." Eating sweet potatoes in moderate amounts will help you keep your blood sugar levels in the healthy range even if you have diabetes. Avocados Avocados are an excellent choice for people with diabetes because they are very rich in dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals and packed with numerous health benefiting plant nutrients. Blueberries Blueberries contain both insoluble fiber (which “flushes” fat out of your system) and soluble fiber (which slows down the emptying of your stomach, and improves blood sugar control). It also contain a natural plant compound known as anthocyanins. Scientists believe these may help lower blood sugar by boosting insulin production. Tomatoes Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin K. They are also a very good source of, potassium, manganese, dietary fiber, chromium, and vitamin B1. Because of their low carbohydrate content, tomatoes can play a big role in controlling blood sugar levels. The low carbohydrate content also helps lower calorie intake and can help diabetics to lose weight. Eggs Eggs are a versatile food and a great source of protein, and the American Diabetes Association considers eggs an excellent choice for people with diabetes. Cinnamon Cinnamon spice has the highest anti-oxidant strength of all the food sources in nature. Many studies show that consumption of one teaspoon cinnamon to three teaspoons a day has a positive effect on reducing blood glucose levels. It was found that the cinnamon can make your cells more sensitive to insulin. Dates Dates are a great choice for a person with diabetes as they can help control sugar cravings, and they are low on the glycemic index. The carbohydrates in dates provide instant energy, and the high fiber contained in dates is good for digestion. This sweet desert fruit is cholesterol and fat free therefore, they serve as a great snack item. Many essential disease protective minerals are also present in dates.

Insulin Levels and Cancer Prognosis and Cancer Recurrence

06:57
http://www.askdryou.com/breastcancersurvival The relationship between a high carb diet and cancer risk was established way back in 1985 when the International Journal of Cancer reported on a study involving nearly 50,000 women. Researchers found that eating a high glycemic index diet -- that's a diet with a lot of refined starches and carbohydrates and of course sugars -- increased the risk of breast cancer in post menopausal women, as high as 87 percent, for women who were also sedentary and had a history of prescription hormone replacement use. Fast forward to 2011... We have looked beyond the glycemic index. Now it's known to be more about controlling your insulin levels. Because common foods such as apple juice, pasta and chocolate (my favorite) may have a low glycemic index, but they are still high in carbohydrates and can spike your insulin levels. So the common phrase, "sugar feeds cancer" may seem straight forward, but the reality of sugar's impact is a bit more complex. Because although the glycemic index is a useful tool in guiding someone with cancer toward a healthier diet, it does not give a complete and accurate picture because the glycemic index of a sugary food can be lower than that of a starchy food. That's why insulin levels are a more accurate predictor. For example, a study presented in 2000 at the Annual meeting of American Society of Clinical Oncology reported on 535 breast cancer patients who were followed for ten years. Not only were the breast cancer patients with the highest levels of insulin eight times more likely to die of their disease, researchers also found that insulin levels in the blood may predict whether a woman's breast cancer will recur after treatment. Here again, the women with the highest levels of insulin were four times more likely to have recurrences. Furthermore, of those women in the study who were obese (obesity being another known factor that increases the risk of recurrence) it was also concluded that obesity alone could not completely explain the link between insulin and reduced cancer survival. The hypothesis being that insulin can spur the growth of both normal and cancerous cells in the breast. It is now accepted as an indisputable fact that getting your insulin levels back to normal is one of the most powerful things you can do to improve your health and lower your risk of cancer. So it's imperative that cancer survivors lower and maintain their insulin levels. As a side note: The pancreas releases insulin after you eat carbohydrates. This causes the blood sugar to rise. Blood sugar is necessary for life. And it is the job of insulin to make sure your cells receive the right amount. However, insulin also makes our bodies use more carbohydrate as fuel than fat. So if you eat a lot of carbohydrates, you are essentially telling your body to "store fat". When this happens you are unable to use your already stored body fat for energy. So a vicious cycle begins because excess carbohydrates not only make you fat, they make you stay fat. Fortunately, you can convince your body to use its stored fats for energy by dramatically decreasing or eliminating grains and sugars from your diet and by getting moderate regular exercise. Lastly, no matter how committed you are, the state of your emotional health is important in all of this. You can be a devoted as a monk to the change you want to make, but it will be a monumental task if you have emotional baggage standing in your way. So along with making it an automatic habit to eat like mother nature designed you to eat, incorporate some form of stress release and relaxation into your life. Remember: There are certain minerals, enzymes and vitamins that your cells need to stay healthy. Everything begins at the cellular and molecular level. We are nothing more or less than a social network of cells have been encoded with instructions to co-operate with each other to keep the whole body alive. In the end, if there was ever a single measurement for determining one's life span, it's insulin response. So find out all you can about it and learn to fight cancer with your fork. Maybe, together, we can push the envelope on our average lifespan predictions and create a new generation of centurions.

Basically, high blood sugar accelerates the aging process. So with that said, I’m going to quickly discuss 10 clinically proven ways that you can quickly, easily and naturally improve your blood sugar levels and help avoid and/or reverse many health problems. 1. Exercise Daily Regular, daily exercise can help you lose unwanted fat. But more importantly, helps improve “insulin sensitivity”. 2. Eat The Correct Carbohydrates When you eat carbs, your body converts it into sugar (mostly glucose). As your blood sugar goes up, your body secretes insulin to help lower it back down to a normal, healthy range. Now, carbs are not evil. However, the wrong carbs, especially in high amounts ARE bad for your health. Focus more on vegetables, some yams, little bit of rice, legumes, quinoa and whole grains. Get rid of the bad carbs and eat less total carbs.(2,3,4,5) 3. Eat More Fiber Fiber has so many benefits and sadly, most people are barely getting any. You should be eating at least 25 grams or more. While most Americans are barely getting around 5-10. It’s best to get both soluble and insoluble fiber in your diet because both help improve your blood sugar levels (6,7,8). 4. Eat Smaller Meals, More Often I’m sure you’ve heard about this when it comes to weight loss. However, one of the reasons for the weight loss is the lower blood sugar levels from eating smaller meals. (9,10,11) 5. Watch What You Drink You should never drink your calories -- no sodas, juices, alcohol, “shakes” or anything similar. They all digest quickly and spike up your blood sugar. The best drink is water, or maybe even green tea. Water also flushes your kidneys, cleanses your liver and thus, eliminates excess blood sugar through urine… all of this helps reduce diabetes.(12,13,14) 6. Manage Your Stress Levels You can’t have health without also discussing stress management. What’s interesting is that stress increases blood sugar levels AND decreases insulin sensitivity. (15,16) And this is because of a change in hormones such as glucagon, cortisol, testosterone, adrenal hormones and so forth. (17,18) 7. Better Quality Sleep You can’t manage your stress if you don’t get enough, quality sleep. Again, this has to do with a negative changes in your hormones when you don’t sleep well. (20,21) 8. Drink Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar, like exercise, helps lower blood sugar levels AND improve insulin sensitivity. (22,23,24). 9. Lose Fat Losing unwanted fat and decreasing your belly fat has numerous health benefits. This is even more true with blood sugar levels because the lower your body fat, the higher your insulin sensitivity. What’s interesting is that you can actually eat MORE carbs, as you decrease your body fat. (25) 10. Take Natural Supplements Most people just give up after a week or two since they aren’t getting results fast enough, especially for the amount of time and effort. This is why I always suggest people take natural supplements. ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. Lose Weight Lower Cholesterol and Blood Sugar With Just An Avocado a Day

03:46
Lose Weight, Lower Cholesterol and Blood Sugar With Just An Avocado a Day why? because Without a doubt, avocado is a lot of people’s favorite fruit, and this isn’t the case with Americans only, but with people from many other countries as well. This tasty fruit contains a lot of nutrients and so it offers numerous health-benefits. Additionally, numerous studies have shown that people who consume avocados regularly have lower Body-Mass-Index and better nutrient intake when compared to those who don’t eat avocados frequently. Here is what 1 Avocado a day can do to your body. 1.It’s a Healthy fat The avocado is virtually the only fruit that has monounsaturated fat (good-fat). According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, good-fats are those that can lower bad-cholesterol levels, reduce the risk of heart-attack and stroke. So instead of mayonnaise why not spread some Avocado on your toast and sandwiches. 2.Helps lose weight According to a study published in the Nutrition Journal, ½ avocado with lunch can be of great help for overweight individuals as it keeps you satiated for a longer period of time. According to the participants in the study, they had 40% lesser desire for eating for more than 3-hours and 28% lesser desire for eating 5-hours after a meal. 3. Reduces Cholesterol level Statistically speaking, 1 in 3 American adults suffer from problems related to high cholesterol levels which only double the risk of cardiovascular diseases. However, there are natural ways to lower high cholesterol-levels. Studies have shown that regular consumption of avocado is an excellent way to decrease cholesterol-levels. Avocado has the amazing power to lower blood-triglycerides and cholesterol levels, as well as to lower LDL cholesterol levels and to increase HDL levels. 4.Avocardo is rich in nutrients Avocados have an abundance of nutrients and each serving has more than 20-vitamins and minerals. Through consumption of one avocado you intake the following recommended daily values: 33% of vitamin-C, 21% of vitamin-E, 26% of vitamin-B6, 53% of vitamin-K, 19% of copper, 41% of folate, 28% of potassium, and 28% of pantothenic-acid. 5.Prevents diabetes According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at one point in our lives, diabetes is going to affect around 40% of people in USA. In order to minimize this risk, you must balance your blood-sugar levels. One study showed that participants who were given ½ avocado with their lunch, and had their insulin and blood-glucose levels checked at intervals, raised their carb and calorie intake, but showed no increase in the blood-sugar levels, unlike those who didn’t consume an avocado with lunch 6.Improves Bone health Avocados are rich in Vitamin-K, folate, copper, and numerous other nutrients. When regularly consumed, avocados help in the building and maintenance of strong bones. 7.Helps in Digestion Avocados keep the digestive-system working smoothly. A single avocado has 13 grams fiber which is 54% of the daily recommended fiber. 8.It is Anti-Carcinogenic According to a study, avocado may be helpful in inhibiting or stopping prostate-cancer cell growth. Another study pointed out that avocados can be significant in the reduction of chemotherapy side-effects. Some other symptoms can include fever, enlarged veins on the belly that can be seen through the skin, and abnormal bruising or bleeding. People who have chronic hepatitis or cirrhosis may feel worse than usual or just have changes in lab test results, such as alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels. Some liver tumors make hormones that act on organs other than the liver. These hormones may cause: High blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea, confusion, constipation, weakness, or muscle problems Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia), which can cause fatigue or fainting Breast enlargement (gynecomastia) and/or shrinkage of the testicles in men High counts of red blood cells (erythrocytosis) which can cause someone to look red and flushed High cholesterol levels Many of the signs and symptoms of liver cancer can also be caused by other conditions, including other liver problems. Still, if you have any of these problems, it's important to see your doctor right away so the cause can be found and treated, if needed. Health Alert: Balancing blood sugar reduces cancer risk

01:22
MONTGOMERY, Ohio (Liz Bonis) -- There is yet another reason that you should try to bring your blood sugar levels down, it could help fight cancer. If you've been told you have high blood sugars, or diabetes runs in your family, there is something you can do to lower your risk of ‚“pre-diabetes‚ Researchers at TriHealth‚„s Fitness and Health Pavilion in Montgomery found that if you have ‚“pre-diabetes‚ bringing down blood sugar levels under control can also lower your risk specifically for different types of cancer, Researchers reviewed 16 different studies and those who exercised and had blood sugars under control brought down their risk for liver, breast, colon, pancreatic and bladder cancers. It may be due to the idea that exercise helps use sugar for energy more efficiently, It also helps control waist weight and that can alter hormone levels often linked to risk for certain cancers. If you know you have been told you have a "touch of sugar," the best thing you can do is get into the gym, Follow Liz Bonis on Twitter @lbonis1, and LIKE her on Facebook. Keto Diet vs. Cancer: Therapeutic Effects of a Low Carb Diet- Thomas DeLauer

09:07
Please Subscribe for 3-4x Video per Week + Live Broadcasts! http://ThomasDeLauer.com Ketone Breath Meter: https://levlnow.com/ Keto Diet vs. Cancer: Therapeutic Effects of a Low Carb Diet- Thomas DeLauer… Cancer cells are stupid, so - When it comes down to ketosis there are so many different directions that we can look. We're not just looking at how you burn fat. We're not just looking at getting in the best possible shape. There are actually some really good therapeutic applications. In this particular case, I want to spend this video talking about the relationship between ketosis and cancer. So, with me I have Joe Anderson who is a PhD in chemical engineering and an expert in ketosis. You've done a lot of digging in the world of ketosis and cancer. I want to turn the tables over to you to talk about what you've seen, what you've discovered in that world, and get a little discussion going on. Sure. So, there's this idea out there that the ketosis could be therapeutic. If you can get to a certain level of therapy with your ketone levels, it can actually decrease the cancer size. I will say right up front there's a gentlemen down in southern Florida who some of you may know, Dom D'Agostino, whose actually actively doing research in this area. Some of this stuff is coming from him. But, the idea is that cancer is tissue that's growing out of control. Right? Cancer's made up of lots of cells. When it's growing out of control some of the fuel that's fueling that out of control growth can be sugar. The idea is that if you cut sugar out, get into a high level of ketosis, you're going to kill those cells because they don't have any nutrients to thrive on. But, you have to be careful because every cell in that cancer isn't necessarily being fueled by sugar. Some will be fueled by fats, so this doesn't work for every cancer. They seem to indicate that some of the brain cancers, the nasty ones, are responsive to this keto therapy. Then you have some other cancers as well. . The other idea within that is that some of the cancers are responding to the insulin so if you have sugar, sugar is driving your insulin to be elevated, but that elevated insulin may also be helping the cancer grow out of control. So, once again, decrease sugar, decrease the fuel for the cancer cells, but also decrease that insulin response that's causing a response to those cancer cells as well. Right, now cancer is not my world of expertise other than the fact that I lost my father to cancer in February so it's near and dear to me, but I still don't have the breadth of knowledge that a lot of clinicians do in the world of cancer. Can you just describe exactly how a cancer cell works, and how it might feed, and how it might be glycolytic just so that the viewers who don't have an understanding of really how that works in general and how keto could potentially starve that out? Sure. I'm not going to try to pretend I'm' a cancer expert, but I've certainly done some research on this in terms of reading the scientific literature to understand it better, but essentially cancer is a cell that doesn't know when to stop growing and stop dividing. Your cell will grow, grow, grow and then at some point it can divide into a second cell, but that process is well controlled.

So, incorporating this ingredient into your day to day cooking will not be a problem. The last on the list is the cinnamon. This ingredient is becoming increasingly popular because of its ability to help control blood sugar level, especially for people with diabetes mellitus type 2. Cinnamon contains an ingredient that helps activate the release of insulin. It facilitates the conversion of glucose into energy. Make it a habit of consuming foods with cinnamon such as adding it to your morning coffee, milk, or cereal. You can even sprinkle cinnamon on your favorite fruits. Lowering blood sugar naturally isn’t that difficult as long as you have these ingredients with you. These ingredients can be easily accessed in your kitchen. So, incorporating these ingredients into your day to day eating habit is not a problem. Cinnamon Extract - This potent insulin-mimicking nutrient is derived from a special water soluble extract of the bark of the cinnamon tree. The specific active strain of this valuable spice bark is called Cinnamomum cassia, and is grown in the forests of Indonesia. Research shows that cinnamon extract has the following effects: Acts as insulin mimetic, helping to more effectively manage blood sugar following a carb-rich meal. Cinnamon can actually stimulate insulin receptors much like insulin itself, like an imperfect key that still works in the lock to open the cell door.1 This enhances sugar movement into muscle cells where it can supply energy and be burned as fuel. Increases glucose metabolism by up to 20-fold. This helps keep blood sugar low and stimulate fat burning due to the clearance of excess sugar from the blood stream. Supports glucose transport mechanisms by enhancing the insulin signaling pathways, thus disposing of glucose more efficiently. This translates to much lower blood sugar response to high glycemic meals. In this study subjects were fed rice pudding with or without cinnamon. Results show that blood sugar increases were cut by over 50% by the cinnamon. http://newswire.net/newsroom/pr/00078249-supplements-to-lower-blood-sugar-naturally.html
