Stations 01

04:06
Intricate wood carvings by Boek and De Wint, circa 1896. Each of the fourteen Stations of the Cross have been decorated using the Scraffito technique, common in Italy and Germany during the 16th century. At Holy Angels many of the figures depicted in the woodcarvings have been painted with various colours and then covered with gold leaf. The artist then scrapes away the gold leaf revealing the original colour beneath, producing incredibly elaborate and ornate designs.

Introduction to Telephone Systems

54:03
Follow Eli on the Vlog Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/EliComputerGuyLive Info Level: Beginner Presenter: Eli the Computer Guy Date Created: August 2, 2010 Length of Class: 54 Minutes Tracks Telephone Systems Prerequisites None Purpose of Class This class introduces students to the basic components of telephone systems. Topics Covered Public Switched Telephone Network Central Offices Trunk Lines PBX and Voicemail Systems PBX Stations Voicemail Subcribers Class Notes Introduction Telephone systems are not complicated if you understand how they work. A Word on VoIP VoIP is not a telephone system PSTN PSTN -- Public Switched Telephone Network is like the Internet, but for telephone communication NADP -- North American Dialing Plan -- Is the system for routing telephone calls. Central Office -- All telephone lines connect to a local central office Trunk Lines Every Trunk Line has a telephone number A Trunk Line allows for 1 incoming or outgoing call. You can have far more telephones in a building then you have trunk lines. Incoming Trunk lines are setup in Hunt Groups. If the main phone number is busy the call is automatically forwarded to the next number in the Hunt Group Incoming Hunt Groups are setup by your local telephone company. Outgoing calls can be routed to use selected trunk lines. This in configured in your PBX. PBX and Voicemail The PBX routes telephone calls The Voicemail system provides all audio messaging. (Voicemail boxes, Message Boards, and Auto Attendant Messages) Stations All devices that connect to the PBX are "Stations". This includes telephones, call boxes, intercom systems, etc. There are 2 types of stations; Analogue and Digital. Analogue and Digital stations have to be connected to appropriate ports on the PBX. An analogue phone cannot connect to a digital port and vice versa. Almost all fax machines and phones you buy at retail stores are analogue. If your new fax machine does not work it may be because it's plugged into a digital line. Subscribers Subscribers are users of the Voicemail system. Subscribers do not have to have stations Voicemail ports are the number of connections to the Voicemail system at any one time. This includes not just people retrieving their voicemail, but also incoming calls that connect to Auto Attendant messages. Final Thoughts Be careful before you touch! Most older telephone and voicemail systems were administered using a phone keypad, NOT and computer interface. If you mess something up it can be very difficult to rebuild a deleted Auto Attendant or such. Resources North American Numbering Plan PSTN -- Wikipedia

An Introduction to Switches & Crossings - Network Rail engineering education (12 of 15)

07:05
Switches and crossings play an essential role in connecting the rail network. We use them to guide trains from one track to another and to enable lines to cross paths. Put simply, they're the junctions that allow us to create a multi-lined, multi-routed rail network. This is how they work. Lipnick Holy Land Vlog - Migdal David

02:02
Biblical Hebrew partial scholarship: https://goo.gl/AK3MUw Are you an avid reader of the Bible fascinated by history and archaeology? Have you always wanted to tour the Holy Land up close without the hassle of actually traveling to Israel by airplane? Hi, my name is Jonathan Lipnick and I am a professor at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies. I want to invite you to join me on an exciting virtual tour of the Land of Israel. From the comfort of your home, you can walk with me through some of the most sought-after sites in the Holy Land including: the Sea of Galilee, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jaffa, Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea, Masada, the River Jordan, and of course, Jerusalem. We begin our trailblazing series of Vlogs in the Old City of Jerusalem with an overview of the eternal capital’s landscape. We head to the roof of the Tower of David, Jerusalem’s most famous ancient citadel, for a breathtaking panoramic vista. Next, we dive into an in-depth series of documentary videos exploring the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. According to ancient tradition, this church preserves the authentic site of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus Christ. We will explore the rock of Golgotha and the tomb of Christ as well as the Chapel of Helena, where fragments of the True Cross were discovered by the Emperor Constantine’s mother three hundred years after the crucifixion of Jesus. From here, we will walk along the Via Dolorosa, following the Stations of the Cross where Jesus suffered en route to Calvary. We then enter the Jewish Quarter, which is overflowing with synagogues, Torah academies (yeshivot) and art galleries. Here we will explore the stones of the Western Wall, the only remnant of Herod’s magnificent Temple complex. We will take a close look at the fascinating archaeological excavations at the foot of the Temple Mount which contain remnants of Jerusalem’s ancient marketplace and ritual baths (mikvaot). We will walk up the very stairs used by every pilgrim who entered the Temple. We then head to the City of David, the original site of Jerusalem from the period of the Old Testament. We will literally walk on the same stones trodden upon by the famous Hebrew prophets of the Bible: Isaiah, Jeremiah and Zechariah. We will explore 4000-year-old walls built by the Canaanites before the city became the Israelite hub par excellence. It was here that King David and his son Solomon revolutionized the city’s landscape, turning Jerusalem into a royal capital. We will walk through the Siloam Tunnel, a marvel of ancient engineering dug underneath the city by King Hezekiah in the year 701 BCE to preserve Jerusalem’s only water supply, the Gihon Spring. We then head to the Mount of Olives to explore some crucial sites visited by Jesus during his final week in Jerusalem. Most importantly, we will visit the Garden of Gethsemane, an ancient olive grove where Jesus paused to pray and was overtaken by the authorities under the cover of darkness. We end our tour of Jerusalem at Mount Zion, a small hill outside the Old City containing the Last Supper room and the Tomb of King David, as well as the Dormition Abbey.
NXT Tight Turn Teaching Stations

Evasive Tight Turns are an important aspect the game. These players are learning to turn both ways. While there is never enough time to teach and practice the tight turn these 3 stations provide the coaches with some progressive ideas of deliberate and random (Game Like) practice. This will help them perform in game situations.

Poor Man’s Bible

01:02
Beautiful stained glass windows. A painting. Mosaics and carvings and statues. Did you know pieces just like these became what was called the Poor Man’s Bible? In the Middle Ages, Christian art in churches and cathedrals was used to convey biblical lessons to a large population who couldn’t read. Thus, even a single window became. . .a Poor Man’s Bible! Or the murals in ancient Roman Catacombs representing the Good Shepherd, the Madonna and Child, or Jonah. The most common theme for the “poor man’s Bible” portrays the story of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection—the well-known “Stations of the Cross” seen by people walking around the church or cathedral. For hundreds of years, images helped convey the stories of the Bible—their meanings to people who couldn’t read them for themselves! Today we’re fortunate to live in an age where most people can read! Engage with the Bible—with this Book for all people! This particular circuit really prepared me for boxing matches when I was competing in amateur boxing. We do 5 sets, each exercise is performed for 15 seconds with a 30 second break between sets. We start off with bicycle kicks for abs, push-ups, then mountain climbers, we get into punching with short hops, then move into burpees, and finally finish off with the shoeshine. Do this boxing workout at the end of your workout to top up your overall output, or do it at the beginning to really push your raw conditioning. I Rebelled At School Bans But It Went Too Far

05:22
Story by Amanda. Subscribe our channel: https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Amanda. Some time ago, she was a student at an ordinary school. Like most people, she was subject to many different school bans on normal things, like talking during lunch or wearing colourful clothes. Here’s a life hack that she used to cheat the rules. Make sure you’re sitting comfortably! This is an amusing story about a senior-year prank that came about unintentionally. So, here we go! It was Amanda’s senior school year, and she started it with a number of ideas on how she could guarantee that she and her friends would be remembered forever at their school. Of course, it would have to be something spectacular! Amanda and her friends discussed a whole number of options, from simple water bombs to some spectacular ideas like recreating a beach inside the school grounds, or organizing cockroach races with actual bookmaking and jockeys. However, their dreams soon came crashing down against harsh reality. The school principal was trying to prevent a senior-year prank, since the class before them had taken things a little too far. So they basically told the students not to do a traditional prank, and that anyone who did would be in a lot of trouble. Now Amanda and her friends were being told they wouldn’t be allowed to remember it for something special. Obviously, there was no chance of them passing over the occasion. Suddenly, one of them came up with an idea. “What if we do an ‘anti-prank’”? The idea floated around the school halls, and soon everyone knew what they were going to do. So, for several days every senior was meant to bring a potentially threatening item to school for a prank, but then do nothing with it. They also consulted the seniors from previous years and decided that on the first day they would all bring... A BANANA. Because, why not? The week started and on the Monday the entire senior class brought a banana with them to every class. This was a reference to a previous prank – when the students had covered the entirety of the school’s entrance hall in banana peels, making it impossible to walk cross. There were about 500 people due to graduate in Amanda’s year. So there were HUNDREDS of bananas being carried through the halls! The school staff lost their patience very quickly, and soon an announcement rang out: “All bananas need to be eaten or thrown away or they will be confiscated.” So when the afternoon came, all the bananas had been taken away. They could just picture the school administration freaking out over the situation - “What are we going to do now with all these bananas?” The next day they paid a tribute to another hilarious prank of the past, when the seniors had hired a group of mariachi who chased the principal around the school all day, accompanying his every word with cheerful tunes. So now, everyone came to school in Mexican hats and some students even turned up with guitars – but didn’t play them. They’d only been enjoying themselves for an hour when they heard the inevitable announcement: wearing hats inside the school was forbidden, and later that day all the hats were confiscated. You can imagine just how overflowing the school storage rooms were with 500 hats! But the students had already taken things too far along to abandon their plans at that point. The following day saw a ratcheting up of the tension. Somebody had the idea that each student should bring a two-litre bottle of water to class. So that’s what they did, and to no one's surprise again there was an announcement that the school staff would gather up all the water bottles for fear of what the students were going to do with them. Amanda and her friends spotted a pale librarian running towards the library to lock it up before any students got in. But this time, they decided to resist to the bitter end. People were feeling resentful now, and didn’t want to give up their precious water. But alas, most of the bottles were confiscated. This was the last straw! So the students started sharing the news on social media. Dozens of tweets and shares were reaching local news stations, and then even spreading around the whole country. The situation at the school was mentioned on lots of daytime shows and news broadcasts, all reporting that for unknown reasons a school was “confiscating all water bottles and not allowing students to drink water.” You get the picture. Before the end of the day, two news reporters were already at our school. The story went viral without the students even making too much of an effort! Now, that was really satisfying. And they would have positive recollections of that last school year for the rest of their lives! What's your story? Actually Happened want to hear it! Introducing Virtual Meditations

01:07
Virtual Meditations uses new technology to help young people reflect, in their own way, on the death of Jesus Christ. The codes can be placed around your classroom, in your school hallway, or even in your parish or church hall. Students can simply scan the codes with their mobile devices and view a two-minute video explaining each station and encouraging personal reflection. The videos will help young people relate to Jesus' teachings and learn more about his journey to Calvary—while using the technology they prefer. Interactive: Young people will be actively engaged as they move around the room scanning the QR Codes. Adaptable: The codes can be used in a classroom, a hallway, a parish, or at home. Motivating: Young people are encouraged and enabled to use new technology to help them understand and reflect on the Stations of the Cross.
