Pre-Existing Diseases In Health Insurance Explained
This video will discuss pre-existing diseases in health insurance policies or health insurance plans FundooMoney Website: www.fundoomoney.com Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQTqvgT_qzPZn1D1bHsxtKw?sub_confirmation=1 Visit YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/FundooMoneyWorld Share Video: https://youtu.be/S32I_YUwUVE Edited highlights 0:04 This video will discuss pre-existing diseases in health insurance policies or health insurance plans 1:28 People get perturbed by the conditions of pre-existing illnesses in health insurance plans 1:45 Insurance companies will cover risks that have an uncertainty. That is one of the principles of insurance 1:58 Risks which are certain will not be covered 2:18 In this context, insurance companies say that if you are suffering from a certain disease or illness, then these illnesses are not covered 2:25 In some cases, they may not give any health insurance in case of some dreaded illnesses like cancer 2:39 At the same time, not all pre-existing illnesses debar a person from taking the health insurance plan 2:54 There are pre-existing diseases which don't have such serious consequences, the insurance companies say that they cover those illnesses also but after a certain "cooling period" 3:04 So, the insurance may cover these pre-existing diseases or illnesses after 3 years of the policy 3:11 Some insurance companies cover these pre--existing diseases after 3 years and some after 4 years 3:23 Some even have a clause of 2 years. The coverage starts after the insured person has remain continuously been associated with the insurance company for some years 3:44 So, insurance companies can refuse any kind of insurance. Or, they could give you insurance except those pre-existing diseases which will not be covered lifelong 3:51 The other option is that those pre-existing illnesses will be covered by 3-4 years of "cooling period" 4:12 One of the reasons why health insurance claims get rejected is because of the clause of pre-existing illnesses 4:25 While filling up the health insurance form, one shouldn't hide pre-existing diseases which is a material fact 4:52 If you hide a pre-existing disease and the insurance company gets to know about it, it will reject your health insurance claim 5:06 It is better to exclude a pre-existing disease from the health insurance coverage rather than to get your claim rejected for it FundooMoney Useful Links Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fundoomoney/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fundoomoney/ Pinterest: https://in.pinterest.com/fundoomoney/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/FundooMoney Google+ : https://plus.google.com/u/0/+FundooMoneyWorld SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/fundoomoney SlideShare: www.slideshare.net/FundooMoneyWorld LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fundoomoney

What is a Pre-Existing Condition on a Health Insurance Policy?
http://www.MurrayGRP.com/ - #49 - A pre-existing condition on a health insurance policy is any prior medical condition you have developed or sustained prior to purchasing the health insurance policy. On most health insurance policies pre-existing conditions are only a concern if the policy holder did not have prior coverage with another health insurance carrier. In the case of no prior insurance the health carrier will exclude coverage for six months to a year before providing coverage for that condition. It is important to always consult a professional insurance agent about your specific insurance needs. Our team of insurance professionals at The Murray Group would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding your health insurance policy. In a brief filed in a federal court in Texas, the department said a tax law signed last year by President Donald Trump that eliminated penalties for not having health insurance rendered the so-called individual mandate under Obamacare unconstitutional. The Justice Department said that also nullifies two other major provisions of Obamacare linked to the individual mandate, including one barring insurance companies from denying coverage to people with pre-existing conditions. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, in a letter to House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan, said he had determined the individual mandate will be unconstitutional when the tax law becomes effective in 2019.”* Hosts: John Iadarola, Ana Kasparian, Emma Vigeland, Nomi Prins Cast: John Iadarola, Ana Kasparian, Emma Vigeland, Nomi Prins *** The Largest Online News Show in the World. Travel Insurance: Coverage For Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
This video describes why pre-existing medical conditions are not covered by most travel medical insurance plans, and why purchasing travel insurance is still a wise choice to make for your international trip to the USA. Visit http://www.visitorscoverage.com/insurance/pre-existing-conditions-coverage-plans/ to learn more about which plans can help you get a travel insurance for acute onset of pre-existing medical condition. Visit us at http://www.visitorscoverage.com to get unbias advice to purchase the right travel insurance policy for your next international trip. Video Transcript: if you are buying travel medical insurance, you are probably concerned about coverage for pre-existing conditions. What is a pre-existing condition? A pre-existing condition is a medical condition that existed before your insurance policy began. For example conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, are possibly existing in individuals before they purchase insurance. Why are pre-existing conditions not covered? Insurance companies can stay in business only if the total claims processed are less than the total premiums received. Since pre-existing conditions have a higher probability of larger claims, if insurance companies start covering pre-existing conditions the total claims processed can exceed that total premiums received and the insurance companies will go out of business. What determines a pre-existing medical condition? Some of the factors that can help in determining whether your condition was pre-existing include the doctor's diagnosis, lab test results, and your medical history. When insurance companies evaluate your claims, they review this information, look for any indication of pre-existing conditions, and process your claim accordingly. For example, an individual purchased insurance and then suffered a heart attack. The diagnosis, lab test results, and medical history indicate that the patient has a history of heart problems and the heart attack was due to a pre-existing medical condition. If pre-existing conditions are not covered, then why buy travel medical insurance? Not all medical problems are related to pre-existing conditions. When you travel away from home, you are more exposed to unknown risks and medical emergencies. You should protect yourself from common medical risks like accidents, falls sickness, injury and other medical emergencies that can cost you thousands of dollars and cause severe financial and emotional stress. Travel Medical Insurance - Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Pre-existing conditions are any medical conditions that existed before the effective date of the policy. Certain medical conditions may be pre-existing conditions, irrespective of whether you were aware of them or not or if you were diagnosed or treated for them or not, if the condition existed prior to the effective date of the policy. Common pre-existing conditions are high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease or cancer. Travel medical insurance plans generally do not cover pre-existing conditions. Even though certain plans cover the acute onset of pre-existing conditions, routine maintenance related to pre-existing conditions is not covered. Whether a condition is considered pre-existing is determined based on the attending physician statement, diagnostic tests, prior medical history, and as per the policy certificate wording. Travel medical insurance plans are designed to cover any new medical conditions such as a cold, flu, fever, diarrhea, pneumonia, stomach upset, food poisoning, being hit by a car, falling down stairs, snakebite and so on. For the small amount of premium that the insurance companies collect, they can’t afford to also cover pre-existing conditions. Even though pre-existing conditions are excluded, it is still advisable to purchase travel medical insurance in case of unforeseen and unknown medical conditions, injuries or accidents that may occur while traveling. Travel Medical Insurance: Pre-existing Medical Conditions
When it comes to travel medical insurance, pre-existing conditions themselves are unfortunately not covered due to the short-term nature of the plans. This means, that any medications, treatments, check ups, or regulatory and expected procedures pertaining to any conditions, injuries or illnesses that existed before the start date of the policy, would not be covered. Some policies however, do provide coverage for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition, which is defined as a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition. Determining whether something qualifies as an acute onset of a pre-existing condition is completely up to a physician to diagnose at the time of the doctor or hospital visit. Video Transcript: Let's talk about pre-existing conditions. When it comes to travel medical insurance, a pre-existing condition is any medical condition that a person may have before the policy start date. Pre-existing conditions are unfortunately not covered under any type of travel medical insurance due to the short-term nature of the plan. Pre-existing conditions would include any medication treatments, checkups, or anything regulatory or expected. With a pre-existing condition, the best thing you can do when insuring someone with a pre-existing condition is purchasing a policy that includes acute onset of a pre-existing condition coverage. An acute onset of a pre-existing condition is defined as a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition. The diagnosis of an acute onset of a pre-existing condition would be up to the attending physician. Some policies cover an acute onset of a pre-existing condition depending on the person's age. You can view, compare and purchase policies that cover an acute onset of a pre-existing condition at visitorscoverage.com. You will need the applicants name, date of birth, a U.S. address, and a credit card to purchase the policy. With any insurance policy, restrictions and exclusions apply.

(Things related to the way we live). Good example will be high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Today the good news for people with pre existing, is that more and more insurers, and in fact more and more of what I will call high quality insurers are offering good coverage for pre existing conditions. Not everyone can be covered but increasely the list of those who can be covered is growing and growing. If you have a pre existing condition we do recommend you to try to be covered. The reason is that most health insurance plan, if you read the policy wording, not only they will exclude preexisting condition, they will also exclude the consequences thereof, that is the typical wording they would used. As such if you are considering something like high blood pressure, if your high blood pressure is not covered and you have a heart attack must insurer will create a link between the high pressure and the high attack and therefore the heart attack will not be covered. This may not seem fair, but it is important that you understand how the insurers will treat your preexisting conditions. As an international health insurance intermediary, we work with all the leading international health insurance companies, we have tremendous experiences to found the right insurer to coer the right pre existing, so if you have a preexisting condition and you want to cover, come and talk to us, we will be happy to help you to found the right insurance company.

Health Insurance When You have a Pre-Existing Condition
How do you get health insurance if you have a pre-existing condition? It's tough. CNN's Elizabeth Cohen reports.

Voters Want Medicare For All, Republicans Want To Deny You Coverage
There’s a very clear and easy choice to make in this year’s midterm elections – The choice is between a Party that wants to actually improve healthcare and work towards a Medicare for All system, or the Party that wants to deny you coverage if you have a pre-existing condition. That seems like a pretty easy decision considering the fact that a majority of American voters from all parties want Medicare for All. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.   Link – https://www.politico.com/amp/story/2018/09/19/obamacare-midterms-republicans-pre-exisiting-conditions-793328?__twitter_impression=true Support us by becoming a monthly patron on Patreon, and help keep progressive media alive!: https://www.patreon.com/TheRingofFire Spread the word! What's more important at this point is making sure that we can get these anti-consumer, anti-human being Republicans, out of office. One of the biggest issues that's not necessarily on the ballot this year, but it is on the ballot, is healthcare. Republicans for the last few years have been trying to strip Americans of their current coverage under Obamacare, that says that you cannot be dropped or denied health insurance based on a pre-existing condition. They have been trying to kill that and replace it with something that says maybe you can get coverage with a pre-existing condition, but even if you do, you're gonna have to pay a lot more money which is what Obamacare was trying to prevent, and it had prevented, and it was helping people. Under the Republican plan, people with pre-existing conditions would either be priced out of the program or they could, in fact, be outright denied insurance all together, leading to yet another insurance crisis, which is why we needed Obamacare in the first place. Republicans still have no plan. They don't know how to cover people with pre-existing conditions. So now as we inch closer to the mid-terms, they're trying to avoid the issue of healthcare all together, even though 75 percent of respondents in a recent poll said that healthcare is a major factor on who they're gonna vote for this year. And a majority of people also said they trust the Democrats more on the issue of healthcare than they do Republicans. For the month of August, 50 percent of the ads that Democrats ran on the national level, 50 percent of 'em, were on the issue of healthcare. So Democrats are running more ads on healthcare than Republicans are on how great the economy is and how great their tax cuts were. Probably because Americans understand at this point, they're not getting anything from those tax cuts, that all went to the wealthy elite. Democrats actually have a winning message right now and it's not just, we're not gonna destroy your healthcare, it's we're gonna make it better. Medicare for all has officially become a mainstream view in the United States. A majority of Republicans, Independents and Democrats all support a Medicare for all system here in the United States. So a majority of every party. Everyone wants Medicare for all. So you have a very clear choice when you go to the polls this year. Do you want to vote for the party that may kick you off your insurance if you have a pre-existing condition, or at the very least make you pay more? Or are you gonna vote for the party that says, "You know what, we're finally open to Medicare for all and we think that this is the natural evolution of healthcare here in the United States?" That is a very clear distinction. It is a very easy choice to make for anyone who happens to have a pre-existing condition, anyone who has a family member with a pre-existing condition. You know what choice to make on that issue. The only question is, can Democrats keep this up?

Medicare Supplements and Pre-Existing Conditions
http://www.omahainsurancesolutions.com/ 402-614-3389 For two years, my father was on dialysis. Those were tough years. When I got a client on dialysis, I wanted the best for him. Kidney dialysis is one of the pre-existing conditions that usually excludes you from a supplement. My client had a one-time opportunity. I was going to make sure he got it! Obama Care Confuses Pre-Existing Conditions Pre-existing conditions are confusing when it comes to Medicare. The ACA (Affordable Care Act) a.k.a. Obama Care made it more confusing because ACA covers pre-existing conditions, but ACA is not Medicare. Different rules govern Medigap policies. ACA applies to everyone 64 and younger. Medigap policies are for everyone 65 and older. Medicare Has No Pre-Existing Conditions Medicare itself cannot deny coverage to anyone because of pre-existing conditions. Medicare means Original Medicare. Original Medicare outpatient. Medicare Part D cannot be denied for pre-existing conditions no matter the condition or cost of the medications. Medicare Part C (or Medicare Advantage) must accept you as well, but for one exception--ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease). You can be denied entrance to Medicare Advantage if your kidneys are permanently shut down and you are on dialysis. All Medicare beneficiaries may enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, except for that one pre-existing condition. Medigap Has Pre-Existing Conditions--Sometimes An insurance company, however, can deny you a Medicare Supplement/Medigap plan because of pre-existing conditions, except during your Open Enrollment Period or Guaranteed issue. The rules around your Open Enrollment Period are confusing. You can enroll in Medicare when you turn 65 and enroll in Medicare Part B. That is called your Open Enrollment. The time period for that is 3 months before the month of your birthday, the month of your birthday, and 3 months after your birthday. The same term--Open Enrollment--is used for enrolling in a Medicare supplement, but the time period is different. Open Enrollment for a supplement is from the month of your birthday and five months after. Same term--Open Enrollment Period--but different time periods that apply to different things. Isn't that nice! term--Open Enrollment Period--but different time periods that apply to different things. Isn't that nice! During your Open Enrollment Period for a supplement, the insurance company may not ask you health questions. They must give you the best possible rate. Even your weight is not counted against you if you are a few pounds over the normative height/weight charts. You can be on chemo, dialysis, recovering from a stroke. It doesn't matter. The insurance company MUST take you during this time period. AFTER the six month Open Enrollment Period, they can ask health questions when you go to purchase a Medicare supplement, and based on your answers, the insurance company could rate or even deny you. What are some of the health questions? Are you in a wheelchair? Are you an insulin-dependent diabetic? Have you had a heart attack, stroke, or cancer in the past two years? All of these questions are "knockout" questions. If you answer in the affirmative, you will be denied a Medicare supplement. You cannot be denied Medicare, but you can be denied the ability to purchase a Medicare supplement at any price. Know the Rules or Find Someone Who Does The ACA changes that permit acceptance into a health plan with pre-existing conditions created confusion in the Medicare world. Beneficiaries need to clearly understand that a pre-existing condition can count you out of a supplement unless it is your Open Enrollment Period or Guarantee issue situation. It is critical that persons with serious health issues be vigilant about these Medicare rules and/or find someone who will be vigilant for you. Don't miss your Open Enrollment Period. If there are any questions, give us a call at 402-614-3389 or even call Medicare 800-633-4227. Make sure you understand the rules that apply to you. Pre-existing Medical Conditions and Travel Insurance
Learn about how pre-existing conditions affect travel insurance in this video from Medi-Quote Insurance Brokers.Pre-existing conditions are medical conditions that exist before departure, most of which have been discussed, diagnosed, or treated by a doctor. The plan and rate category you are eligible for is determined by your pre-existing conditions. Wondering about Pre-existing conditions? Pre-existing conditions are medical conditions that exist before departure, most of which have been discussed, diagnosed, or treated by a doctor. The plan and rate category you are eligible for is determined by your pre-existing conditions. How do pre-existing conditions affect your travel insurance policy? When you have pre-existing conditions, getting travel insurance is often based on whether or not your condition is stable. Generally, to be considered stable your condition must meet these conditions: •There is no new diagnosis, treatment or prescribed medication •There is no change in treatment or change in medication, including the amount taken or frequency •There are no new symptoms or more frequent or severe symptoms •There have been no test results showing deterioration •There has been no hospitalization or referral to a specialist (made or recommended) and you are not awaiting results of further investigations for that medical condition You will most likely be covered if your condition is stable. Some medical conditions may require a longer stability period in order to be covered. In these cases you also have some options. • Some plans offer the option to shorten the stability period for a higher premium or reduced coverage, allowing you to travel with at least some coverage. • Some companies will even insure a condition that does not meet the stability requirements, usually at significantly higher rates. • You may also be eligible for a policy that excludes the pre-existing condition but offers you other coverages, such as coverage for accidents. Another alternative to consider is having your application reviewed by the medical underwriting team, who will individually asses your application and create customized coverage uniquely for you. Watch our video on medical underwriting for more information about this process. There are many options, and we realize they can be a bit complicated – so talk to us about what will best suit your situation. We are here to help. It’s also important to realize that if you have travel insurance through your employer or a credit card, you have to review the policy carefully before travelling – many credit card or group coverages do not cover pre-existing conditions. As you can see, having a pre-existing condition doesn’t mean you can’t get travel insurance. And even if you aren’t eligible for coverage for a pre-existing condition, you can still benefit from coverage for other medical emergencies as well as the other policy benefits like trip cancellation and lost baggage. Our goal is to get you covered - we will discuss your options with you and help you understand your policy. We are here to help make sure your vacation is worry free. Health Insurance Vocab - High Risk Pool Plan (State)
High Risk Pool Plan (State) Similar to the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan under the Affordable Care Act, for years many states have offered plans that provide coverage if you have been locked out of the individual insurance market because of a pre-existing condition. High-risk pool plans may also offer coverage if you're HIPAA eligible or meet other requirements. High-risk pool plans offer health insurance coverage that is subsidized by a state government. Typically, your premium is up to twice as much as you would pay for individual coverage if you were healthy.
