02:03
BEST home remedies for ASTHMA TREATMENT. TRY these cures to reduce the severity and frequency of your ASTHMA attacks. Do you find it difficult to breathe at times? You may be suffering from Asthma. Asthma is a chronic lung disease which causes inflammation and narrowing of the airway. In this video we will discuss the causes, symptoms and treatment of Asthma. What Is Asthma : Inflammation causes the airways to swell and become more sensitive, thereby reacting very strongly to certain inhaled substances. Difficulty in breathing can be a very stressful situation for many who have to deal with asthma. Natural home remedies are always a better choice in treating asthma. Asthma can become a permanent breathing problem if not treated in time. By just taking some simple precautions, you can prevent this problem to a great extent. Asthma can be of two types-Chronic or acute. A good way to keep a track on your asthma is by maintaining a dairy in which you can note down any kind of symptoms you had or are going through. You can also keep a watch on how frequently you are getting these attacks. Write down the kind of medication prescribed to you and how often you administer them. By having a diary handy would help your doctor in recognizing asthmatic attacks and its warnings. Causes & Symptoms of Asthma: 1. It causes recurring periods of wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath and coughing. Usually coughing occurs late at night or early in the morning. 2. Asthma can affect people of all ages but most often starts in childhood. 3. The common triggers are dust or any kind of pollution in the air. 4. The climate too plays a crucial role in asthmatic attacks. When winter sets in, people suffering from asthma have to be a little more precautions. * The exact cause of asthma is not known. However some genetic and environmental factors can be linked to the disease. These factors causing asthma include: 1. An inherited tendency to develop allergies, called Atopy. 2. Parents who have asthma. 3. Certain respiratory infections during childhood. 4. Contact with some airborne allergens or exposure to some viral infections in infancy or in early childhood when the immune system is developing. Some people develop asthma because of contact with certain chemical irritants or industrial dusts in the workplace. This type of asthma is called occupational asthma.  * An asthmatic attack can be triggered by the following:  1. Allergens from dust, animal fur, cockroaches, mold, and pollens from trees, grasses, and flowers. 2. Irritants such as cigarette smoke, air pollution, chemicals or dust in the workplace, compounds in home décor products, and sprays (such as hairspray and perfumes). 3. Medicines such as aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and nonselective beta-blockers Sulfites in foods and drinks. 4. Viral upper respiratory infections, such as colds Physical activity, including exercise Asthma causes difficulty in breathing. How to Relieve Asthma | Reflexology

03:23
Like these Massage lessons !!! Check out the official app http://apple.co/1IAinBB Watch more How to Do Reflexology videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501552-How-to-Relieve-Asthma-Reflexology So how to relieve asthma using some foot reflexology techniques. Certainly you're gonna wanna focus on the lung reflexes. The lung reflexes are housed in the ball of the foot and also on the dorsum so they're all up here as well so we're gonna want to really detail that area. Certainly if you are having an asthmatic attack definitely call 911 and get to the doctor; have something in place. Reflexology is a great complimentary practice, but it's certainly a complimentary practice. You're gonna want to seek professionals should you be having an attack. So we'll start with the lung reflexes. For the lungs we could do the thumb walking and we'll just come up here on the plantar aspect of the foot all the way up to the base of the toes and then we'll come back down. So the other thumb will come down, and I'm really supporting with the other hand, with my fingers and my whole hand, and then you come up again, and if someone has asthma you want to really detail that area, so in addition to walking, thumb walking up and down, you could also thumb walk across. So you'll finish there, all the way across, and then you can go across from the lateral aspect to the medial aspect, so the outside of the foot to the inside, you go across, so you're thumb walking across. And you'll go all the way up; you'll finish right up there. To do the dorsal aspect, or the top of the foot, I use finger walking. So with finger walking you'll just come up through here and you're just gonna come down. So again it's just little bites. And I come up. And I'm going between the metatarsals so if you want to be a little bit more detailed you could go towards, for instance, the second metatarsal here and then you could do it again and detail towards the third just to have more detailed work. Another thing, you know, if someone is having an asthma attack a doctor will administer adrenaline. The adrenal gland naturally produces adrenaline so you could give some attention to the adrenal gland reflex and that's right in here on the plantar, the bottom of the foot, the plantar aspect. So from here you just go right in there. You could thumb walk to find it but generally it's going to be around mid-foot in between this first and second metatarsal, a little bit leaning towards that first. And then lastly you could come along here and you could end with the solar plexus reflex to ease the tension and relax the body. So you come up through here, your thumbs meet at the center, and then you just lean a little forward to meet the point. And that will be it. Those will be the reflexes you detail for attention to asthma.

04:08
For More Healthy Tips And Home Remedies Subscribe Our Channel►►https://goo.gl/Uyk7Tj How To Treat Asthma Attacks Without An Inhaler►►https://youtu.be/unhE2RE7UUc Asthma is caused by an inflammation and obstruction of the bronchial tubes, the tubes that help the lung inhale and exhale air. In 2009 the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology stated that one in every 12 people in the United States had a diagnosis of asthma, compared to one in 14 in 2001. During an asthma attack, the muscles around the bronchial tubes tighten and swell, which narrows the air passages and thus makes it difficult for the person to breathe. Common triggers of asthma attacks include exposure to an allergen (like grass, tress, pollen, etc.), irritants in the air (such as smoke or strong smells), illnesses (like the flu), stress, extreme weather conditions (such as extreme heat), or physical exertion and exercise. What foods are bad for asthma? What not to eat? What should you avoid if you have asthma? Studies show that certain foods can help prevent or minimize common asthma symptoms, such as wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath. Likewise, there are foods that make them worst. Here we have listed worse foods for asthma sufferers: Peanuts: One study found children with asthma who also had a peanut allergy seemed to develop asthma earlier than kids without a peanut allergy and were also more likely to be hospitalized and more likely to need steroids. Many asthmatic children with peanut allergies also have allergies to grass, weeds, cats, dust mites and tree pollen, all of which can trigger asthma attacks. Dried Fruit: Many kinds of dried fruit include sulfites, and one of the most problematic additives in foods for many people with asthma. Wine or beer: Many kinds of wine and beer also contain sulfites. You may have to forsake that glass of cabernet if you find yourself coughing or wheezing after indulging. Some research also suggests that histamines in wine can cause symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing and wheezing. Smoking: Cigarette smoke contains different chemicals and gases that can irritate the lungs. Smoking not only increases your chance of getting asthma but also worsens the symptoms such as coughing and wheezing. Also, smoking during pregnancy is known to increase the risk of decreased lung function and wheezing in infants. How to Treat an Asthma Attack | First Aid Training

00:52
Watch more How to Give First Aid videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/504463-How-to-Treat-an-Asthma-Attack-First-Aid-Training If you're with someone who's having an asthma attack, the best thing for you to do is to stay calm and to help them out. Have them sit down. Sitting is the best position for them, rather than lying down. Find their inhaler. Often times they will have it on their person, or nearby. Give it to them to administer their own medication. It's easier for them to do. They're used to doing it, they know how to do it, they know when to breathe in to get the medicine into their lungs. Sometimes people will try to help and they'll just spray, spray, spray, and it's not in time with breathing. Don't be alarmed by how many puffs the person is taking. It may be more or less than you're used to seeing them take. Just let them do it and stay with them, reassure them, keep them safe. If their breathing does not return to normal, or if they're having increased difficulty in breathing, call 911 and get help right away.

ASTHMA ATTACK AND NO INHALER

02:29
During an asthma attack, the smooth muscles of the bronchi in the lungs contract, making the airways narrow and causing the tissues lining these airways to swell from inflammation and mucus secretion. This results in breathlessness and difficulty in breathing for the affected individual, and is termed as an asthma attack. Common symptoms of an asthma attack include breathing problems, wheezing (a whistling sound on breathing), shortness of breath, chest tightness and coughing. Asthma attacks prevail. in people with a weak immune system, in those suffering from viral respiratory infections, and in individuals who are allergic to dust, pollen, dust mites, animal fur, mold, environmental pollutants, etc. in people with a weak immune system, in those suffering from viral respiratory infections, and in individuals who are allergic to dust, pollen, dust mites, animal fur, mold, environmental pollutants, etc. Things To Do First and foremost, remove all items around that may trigger the attack - like dust or animal dander. As far as possible, try to keep the place clean and ventilated. Make sure you are sitting comfortably, preferably in an upright position. Try to avoid lying down. In case you are wearing tight clothes, loosen them, as tight clothing can interrupt normal breathing. Since asthma makes you breathe faster due to insufficient supply of air reaching the lungs, it is advised to try to take slow, deep breaths, breathing through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. This not only helps you relax but also conserves strength. You can also try eating food that includes honey, milk or garlic, as these are known to help during attacks Healthy Tips Dry lungs lead to difficulty in breathing. It is suggested to drink more water so that the lining of the lungs are hydrated which helps prevent an attack. Along with this you can also practice deep breathing exercises which will help you breathe normally. It is also advisable to follow a proper exercise regimen which would help you lose weight thereby preventing asthma attacks in future. Avoid over-exercising as this can be a trigger for the attacks as well. Small amounts of tea and coffee are reported to be good for treating asthma. This is because of the presence of theophylline, an old medicine used for the treatment of asthma. On 9.23.12 Ed Sheeran was explaining the meaning behind "Kiss Me" at River Stage at Great Landing. While he was doing this a woman began having a violent asthma attack in the 3rd row. He stopped what he was doing and immediately asked security to help the woman. He attempted to jump down into the mosh pit to help her but security held him back so instead he looked on in concern and held her hand as she was carried away on a stretcher. Not feeling it was good enough, he stopped the concert for another 5 minutes and went backstage to make sure she was alright. It was one of the most endearing, selfless action I've ever seen anyone make

How To Treat An Asthma Attack | What To Do During An Asthma Attack | Inhaler Treatment At Home

01:38
How To Treat An Asthma Attack | What To Do During An Asthma Attack | Inhaler Treatment At Home | Emergency Asthma Attack Treatment The sad news is that asthma attacks kill three people in the UK each day. Every 10 seconds someone has a potentially life-threatening asthma attack. But many of these deaths could be avoided. Asthma attacks can be frightening, learning this useful knowledge about what to do during an asthma attack could potentially help save a life. If you think you're having an asthma attack, you should: • Sit down and try to take slow, steady breaths. Try to remain calm, as panicking will make things worse. • Take one puff of your reliever inhaler (usually blue salbutamol inhaler) every 30-60 seconds, up to a maximum of 10 puffs. It's best to use your spacer if you have one. • Call 999 (or emergency services number for your country) for an ambulance if you don't have your inhaler with you, you feel worse despite using your inhaler, you don't feel better after taking 10 puffs, or you're worried at any point. • If the ambulance hasn't arrived within 15 minutes, repeat step 2. For more information on what to do during an asthma attack visit: https://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/asthma/Pages/Asthmaattacks.aspx https://www.asthma.org.uk/advice/asthma-attacks/ https://www.asthma.org.uk/advice/child/asthma-attacks/ Asthma helpline numbers: NHS 111 - Dial 111 Asthma UK - Speak to an asthma nurse specialist Dial 0300 222 5800 After an asthma attack: You should see your GP or asthma nurse within 48 hours of leaving hospital, or within 24 hours if you didn't need hospital treatment. One in six people treated in hospital for an asthma attack need hospital care again within two weeks, so it's important to discuss how you can reduce your risk of future attacks. Talk to your doctor or nurse about any changes that may need to be made to manage your condition safely. Ask your GP, asthma nurse or pharmacist to show you how to use all your inhalers correctly. Although study results vary, estimates of inhaler errors include up to 90% of patients using pressurised metered dose inhalers (pMDIs) and up to 54% of patients using dry powder inhalers. Inadequate inhaler technique lowers drug deposition to the lungs, wastes medication and may lead to poor disease control and increased emergency hospital admissions. How to stop a dog's asthma attack

00:34
This is Rocky my shit zu, i'm not sure if it's asthma, kennel cough, or reverse sneezing as I have seen on other videos but I know that I found a way to help it stop. I open his mouth forcing him to breathe through his mouth. with my pointer and thumb i open his mouth gently. I feel the jaw tighter than usual when I do this as if it's hard for him to open his mouth on his own. Once I open the mouth he stops. I hope this helps other pups out there. I have seen videos of dogs having these symptoms for like two minutes and hopefully with this trick it can help a lot of worried dog owners out there! If this continues frequently or for long periods of time I suggest you try a vet and get diagnosed. Best of luck!

Asthma attack

1. Help the person sit in a comfortable position and take their medication. When someone has an asthma attack, the muscles in the airways narrow, making it difficult for them to breathe. Using an inhaler relaxes the muscles, allowing the air passages to expand and ease the person’s breathing. 2. Reassure the person. A mild attack should ease within a few minutes. If the attack becomes severe, or they don't have their medication, call for Medical Help or get someone else to do it. Here are some questions people often ask: Q-1: What is asthma? A: Asthma is a medical condition that affects the airways – the tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. When someone has an asthma attack, these tubes become narrowed, making it difficult to breathe in and out. Q-2: How can I tell if someone is having an asthma attack? A: People with asthma manage their condition and should be able to let you know if they are having an attack. They will have difficulty breathing and speaking, and may cough and wheeze. A person having an attack may be very anxious and distressed as they struggle to breathe. In some cases, their lips, earlobes and nail beds may turn greyish-blue because there isn’t enough oxygen in their body. Q-3: What do I do if the person stops breathing? A: Find out how to help someone who is unconscious and not breathing. Q-4: What if they don’t have their inhaler? A: You should call for Medical Help straight away for an ambulance to take the person to hospital. Q-5: When should I call for Medical Help? A: Call 999 if any of the following apply: * It is their first attack. * They stop breathing. * Talking becomes difficult. * They are becoming exhausted. * Their medication has no effect. * They don’t have any medication with them.

Asthma Attacks | How to Treat Asthma Attacks

04:02
Asthma is caused by an inflammation and obstruction of the bronchial tubes, the tubes that help the lung inhale and exhale air. In 2009 the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology stated that one in every 12 people in the United States had a diagnosis of asthma, compared to one in 14 in 2001.[1] During an asthma attack, the muscles around the bronchial tubes tighten and swell, which narrows the air passages and thus makes it difficult for the person to breathe. Common triggers of asthma attacks include exposure to an allergen (like grass, tress, pollen, etc.), irritants in the air (such as smoke or strong smells), illnesses (like the flu), stress, extreme weather conditions (such as extreme heat), or physical exertion and exercise.[2] Learning to recognize when you or someone else is having an asthma attack and knowing what to do can help save a life. What Causes an Asthma Attack | What Is Asthma?

08:16
Asthma is a long-term problem in the tubes that carry air into your lungs that can make it hard for you to breathe. These airways get so narrow that air can't move freely. It can cause serious wheezing and breathlessness, known as asthma attacks. There's no cure, but most people can control their symptoms. Asthma Rates on the Rise The number of people with asthma has been going up steadily in the U.S. for decades. Some researchers suggest it's because of better hygiene: The theory is that fewer childhood infections lead to under-developed immune systems, which means a greater risk of asthma. It might also be because we use more household cleaning sprays, we don't use as much aspirin, or we have lower levels of vitamin D. Who Gets Asthma? Typically, it develops during childhood, but it can affect you at any age. People who have allergies or a parent or close family member with asthma are more likely to have the condition. More boys have asthma than girls, but it's more common in women than in men. ccupational Asthma Some types of jobs can raise your chance of having asthma as an adult, such as working in a factory or another place where you're regularly around and breathing in chemicals or dust. Smoking Several studies suggest that teens and adults who smoke are more likely to get asthma. And there's strong evidence that secondhand smoke plays a role as well. Kids who are around people who smoke have a higher chance of getting asthma early in life. Link With Being Overweight? The CDC found that 4 in 10 adults with asthma were obese, while fewer than 3 in 10 adults without asthma were. What Causes an Asthma Attack? Certain triggers can make inflammation in your airways worse. The swelling makes the space inside smaller. At the same time, your body may make extra mucus that clogs those airways. It's really hard for air to get in and out of your lungs, so you wheeze and struggle to breathe. Symptoms of an Asthma Attack You could be short of breath, gasping, and feel a tightness or hear a whistling sound in your chest. You may not be able to stop coughing. A severe asthma attack can be life-threatening if you don't use medicine to do something about it. When to Call 911 If you're too breathless to walk or talk, your lips or fingernails look blue, or using a rescue inhaler doesn't help, your body isn't getting enough oxygen. You'll need emergency treatment to help open your airways and get your oxygen levels back up. Early Warning Signs Sometimes, asthma will cause less dramatic symptoms. You may cough a lot (especially at night), have a hard time sleeping, feel drained for no reason, or seem out of breath. These won't stop your day, but they can be warning signs that a full-on asthma attack is coming. Diagnosis A lung test called spirometry measures how much air you can breathe in and out. The results will help your doctor decide whether you have asthma and how severe it is. He may also suggest allergy testing to pinpoint some of your triggers. Allergies Common things that can trigger an asthma attack include mold; dust mites; cockroaches; pollen from trees, grass, or flowers; and foods such as peanuts, eggs, and fish. If pollen is one of your triggers, you'll probably notice your asthma symptoms are worse around the same time every year. Pets The problem is dander -- dead skin cells from your pet that collect on clothing, furniture, and walls. When you breathe it in, it can trigger an asthma attack in as little as 15 minutes. People with cat allergies react to a protein in the saliva, skin, and urine. This protein builds up in the air or on surfaces and can trigger asthma attacks in about one-fourth of people with asthma. Air Pollution Outdoor and indoor air pollution can worsen asthma symptoms. Top offenders include smog, cigarette smoke, paint fumes, and hair spray. They don't cause an allergic reaction, but they do irritate your airways. They're known as nonallergic asthma triggers.
