17 Foods Good For Beautiful Skin And Healthy Hair

04:04
#1 Sweet Potatoes – they are an excellent source of beta carotene, that converts into the powerful anti-aging vitamin A. This nutrient is vital for allowing proper moisture retention to the epidermis, helping to remove dead skin as well as preventing wrinkles. #2 Oats - they are rich in fiber, iron, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids, that stimulate hair growth, making it healthy and thick. #3 Almonds - they are a good source of flavonoids and vitamin E (a nutrient which is important for skin health). In addition, according to a study from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, almonds can help ward off damaging free radicals and possible even oxidative damage caused by smoking. #4 Lemons are packed with vitamin C, that helps the human body build collagen - a protein which is the primary connective tissue in the skin. Furthermore, vitamin C is an essential antioxidant which fights damage already done to the skin. #5 Red kidney beans are a storehouse of proteins, that help repair cells which have suffered free radical damage. #6 Flaxseeds are the best source of omega-3 fatty acids, that are required for a healthy heart, optimum brain function, and radiant skin. Moreover, research has concluded that the omega-3 fatty acids content in flaxseeds help soothe skin conditions, such as eczema or acne. #7 Carrots are a remarkable source of beta-carotene that transforms into vitamin A when ingested. It is crucial to note that none of the cells in the human body can function without vitamin A; therefore, it is recommended to consume a lot of foods rich in vitamin A. #8 Like so many dark green leafy vegetables, spinach is rich in amazing nutrients. For example, spinach has tons of vitamin A, plus iron, folate, beta carotene, and vitamin C. These important nutrients work together for a healthy scalp and mane and keep the hair moisturized, so it doesn't break. #9 Pomegranates are considered a hair and scalp superfood due to its antioxidant properties and UVA-blocking agents which prevent premature aging of the hair and skin. More importantly, they contain ellagic acid, which serves as a natural moisture sealant and makes the skin feel softer throughout the day. #10 Lentils are an excellent source of iron and protein, that support full-bodied hair. You can consume them in a hearty soup, as a side dish, or make your own lentil-veggie burgers. #11 Blueberries are loaded with anti-inflammatory agents and vitamins which help protect the skin from premature aging. Moreover, blueberries are rich in vitamin C, that keeps the skin strong and firm. #12 Brown rice is very high in selenium, an essential mineral which has been found to reduce acne in adults and teenagers when taken in conjunction with vitamin E. More importantly, selenium has also been shown to stimulate hair growth and decrease dandruff. #13 Kale is a good source of iron, and this mineral prevents hair brittleness and breakage. #14 Tomatoes are one of the best sources of the anti-aging antioxidant lycopene. Remember – the deeper, darker the tomato, the more loaded with lycopene it is. #15 Walnuts contain essential nutrients, such as - vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids that help the skin stay smooth and plump. More importantly, walnuts protect the hair from sun damage and keep it lustrous and shiny. #16 Due to their high content of minerals (such as potassium and iron), prunes are good to have if you suffer from thinning of hair, stiff hay-like dry hair, and hair discoloration. #17 Chia seeds are packed with hair nourishing minerals, vitamins, and fats (especially omega 3). For instance, a dry, flaky scalp is commonly attributed to lack of omega-3 in the diet. Thank you. This was our video with foods good for healthy and glowing skin and healthy hair. Top Foods and Vitamins for Healthy Skin

01:25
http://YoungerSkinSecret.com Healthy skin isn't just about what you put on it, what you put inside your body also plays a vital role in the overall health of your skin. When you become deficient in certain vitamins, it shows on your face and body. While a good supplement can be beneficial, the best way to get your vitamins will always be with food. It seems nature made foods perfectly, with the optimal balance of vitamins, and the optimal absorption of them. Vitamin A is essential for your skin to be able to maintain and repair itself. Getting plenty of vitamin A, in your diet, can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Some of the best sources of vitamin A include: milk, fortified cereals, liver and eggs. Vitamin C fights the damage caused to your skin by sun exposure. You can get plenty of vitamin C from citrus fruits and vegetables. Biotin, which is a B vitamin, is a vital nutrient that your body uses to form the building blocks for your skin, nails and hair. If you become deficient in biotin, your skin can become dry and itchy and be prone to dermatitis. Eggs, oatmeal, rice and bananas are a rich source of biotin.

5 Of The BEST Vitamins for Healthy Looking Skin!

03:22
An excellent skin care routine is going to keep your skin rejuvenated, protected, and well-nourished. Unfortunately, not everyone uses protective measures or eats according to what their skin needs and this is what causes dry skin, skin damage, and easily scarred skin. For those looking to change up their routine and start paying more attention to your skin, there are a number of vitamins you should be consuming to ensure your skin is at optimal health. • Vitamin K: this is an extremely important vitamin as it allows your blood to coagulate, heal bruises, and it tackles dark areas of skin. If you are prone to getting spider veins, stretch marks, or dark circles under your eyes, try consuming more vitamin K to watch these disappear. Choose to eat items like kale and cabbage. • Vitamin D: because it is recommended that you protect your skin from the sun, a lot of people actually don’t get enough sunshine into their systems. Our bodies can synthesize vitamin D from sunshine which is important for fighting off infections. It is highly recommended that you take a vitamin D supplement if you do not spend a lot of time outdoors. • Vitamin E: this is an oil-soluble vitamin that is considered an antioxidant. It helps protect your skin from free radical damage and can reduce acne breakouts. Consuming this type of vitamin is rather easy since it is found in many seeds, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. • Vitamin C: this vitamin is easily obtainable from numerous kinds of citrus fruits as well as plenty of vegetables like Brussel sprouts, bell peppers, and broccoli. Vitamin C is an antioxidant which can help protect your skin from free radical damage and it helps to boost collagen production. The neat thing about vitamin C is that is can actually reverse photo-aging signs. • Vitamin B3: this can be found in both plant and animal foods and is considered essential for healthy skin. It is known as niacin and is used to reduce the appearance of aging skin. It is used in a lot of different skincare products as well as supplements since it is good for brain and nervous system health. It is sometimes even used as an exfoliate in exfoliating creams. Other than the above vitamins, you should also be looking to consume vitamin B5, folic acid, and choline. Choline plays a critical role in skin cell membrane production, folic acid boosts collagen synthesis, and B5 helps in preventing water loss from your skin cells. The key to healthy skin is paying attention to what your nutrient intake is and whether you have any vitamin deficiencies. Overall, if you are staying protected against the sun and are consuming a vitamin rich diet, your skin will be healthy. ▶ Subscribe to the channel! - https://goo.gl/nJ8d6r Royalty free Pictures from www.pixabay.com www.pexels.com Royalty Free Music from Audio Library – No Copyright Music

Warning Signs That You're Zinc Deficient

05:53
For more info: https://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Feb-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=zincdeficient Today I’m going to share with you the five warning signs that you’re zinc deficient. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients. For more information on zinc deficiency, you can check out this article: http://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. 5 Foods That Destroy Your Hormones and Skin

04:06
Once we leave the teenage years, we may think acne is a thing of the past. But later in life, an imbalance of hormones can shake things up and acne takes center stage again. An endocrine imbalance is the culprit responsible for triggering hormonal acne. Women in mid-cycle and/or right before their periods are easy prey. These are the two times a month when estrogen and testosterone spike. These two hormones can accumulate if not properly detoxed. And when estrogen dominates, the complexion is fertile ground where inflamed skin and acne can thrive. Luckily there is a natural solution that may provide relief. The first step is to pay attention to your diet. The food you ingest can disrupt your hormones which in turns, produces inflammation. But on the flip side, the right kinds of food can balance hormones and soothe your skin. In today’s video we’ll examine the foods which work for and against your hormones. Foods to Avoid 1. Soy Soy has been on the suspect list of instigating acne. If you think you are sensitive to soy, try eliminating it from your diet and see if your condition improves. It contains phytoestrogens which can create a hormonal imbalance. 2. Dairy Excess dairy consumption can contribute to a surplus of hormones that can lead to acne. Dairy is also a primary cause for leaky guy syndrome. 3. Gluten Like dairy, Gluten can disrupt hormones. It can create intestinal inflammation and produce a domino effect of health issues. 4. Caffeine Caffeine is a kick-starter for millions every morning. Yet it often comes with a tradeoff. It can take its toll on your skin’s immune response. A steady combination of coffee and tea can strip away many essential vitamins which are essential to maintaining a vibrant complexion. 5. Canola, Sunflower, Safflower and Vegetable Oil If you have acne-prone skin, put these oils on your radar as ones to avoid. They have certain nutrients that can ignite a fire storm on your complexion, especially during peak estrogen days. The Best Foods for Your Complexion 1. Avocados Avocados contain a substance that can bring hormone levels back under control. Adding avocados to your diet can be a natural defense system to ward off inflammation. 2. Turmeric Another spice you may already have in your kitchen cabinets is Turmeric. Besides its natural ability to reduce inflammation, pain and swelling, it’s also a remedy for your skin. 3. Chia Seeds One of the highest sources of omega-3’s in nature can be found in this gluten-free grain. These little marvels can stabilize blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity and keep blood pressure spikes in check. 4. Cinnamon In your spice rack, you may already have a secret weapon. Cinnamon. This aromatic spice contains anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that help regulate hormones. 5. Pomegranates Mood swings can be tempered by eating Pomegranates. They produce the same estrogens that female ovaries do. They also are rich in anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. -------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The materials and the information contained on Natural Cures channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. 30 Foods Good To Eat For Healthy Hair And Skin

04:46
An unhealthy diet (full of saturated fat, hormones, and antibiotics) can damage the metabolism, negatively affecting the liver and the heart, and even cause weight gain. Moreover, your regular nutrition affects the health of the skin and hair. Certain foods have effective ingredients which keep skin smooth and supple as well as help fight age-related damage. For example, vitamin C fights free radicals, that may damage cells and break down collagen 9the main protein in the body), leading to fine lines. Free radicals also cause signs of aging like dry skin and wrinkles, tissue damage, plus, some painful diseases. Beta-carotene and lutein (found in red or dark fruits and vegetables) are potent antioxidants, essential for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Lycopene is the phytochemical which makes tomatoes red, helps improve collagen strength and fights off the oxidizing effect of UV rays. Get Glowing With These 7 Foods For Healthy Skin, Hair -Beauty & SkinCare Tips |Foods For Skin & Hair https://youtu.be/w3hW1WOZLuQ Looking For Glowing Skin & Hair With Amazing Foods : Nutrients that keep your skin supple, your hair full and shiny, and your nails strong are found in some pretty basic everyday foods. And if you load up on these fruits, veggies, and healthy sources of fat, you’ll look as good as you feel! So let’s explore the best foods to eat for better hair, skin, and nails—and what you can do to give your hair, skin and nails an extra boost in addition to a healthy diet. 1. Pomegranates This beautiful fruit is considered a hair and scalp superfood for its antioxidant properties and UVA-blocking agents that prevent premature aging of your skin and hair. Pomegranates help strengthen your hair follicles—in fact, pomegranate extract is sometimes used as a natural remedy for hair loss. Pomegranates also contain ellagic acid, which serves as a natural moisture sealant and makes your skin feel softer throughout the day. Add some pomegranates to your cart today or drink pomegranate juice, which has the same benefits. 2. Carrots Rich in beta-carotene, carrots promote healthy hair and nail growth. How? All of that beta-carotene turns into the antioxidant vitamin A in the body, which is what your hair, skin, and nails need to stay healthy and vibrant. Veggies like spinach and broccoli are also great sources of Vitamin A, too. 3. Avocados Avocado toast for healthy skin Good news for all you avocado-toast loyalists; aside from containing healthy fats, avocados contain vitamin C, vitamin E, and antioxidants—the go-to triple threat for better skin. They’re also packed with potassium, which can counteract the bloating effects of salt (which cause puffy eyes or skin) by pushing excess sodium out of the body. 4. Red Bell Peppers Bell peppers of all colors are chock-full of nutrients, but red peppers in particular contain mega doses of vitamin C and carotenoids which help increase skin circulation and fight the signs of premature aging. Throw some red peppers in your morning omelette, slice them up and dip them in hummus, or add them to your next stir-fry. 5. Almonds or Almond Butter Almonds are rich in biotin—your hair’s best friend—and ample amounts of vitamin E, which serves as a natural skin moisturizer and nail strengthener. Almonds are also a great source of calcium, which gives your nails extra nutritional support. Get your almond fix with these 11 addicting recipes for almond lovers you can make at home. 6. Salmon Salmon and tuna are rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D, all essential nutrients for healthy hair. The special protein in your hair, keratin, is responsible for giving hair its strength and flexibility, so consuming a diet rich in protein will work wonders. Omega-3 fatty acids aid in promoting hair growth and add sheen and luster, too. 7. Spinach Popeye was onto something with all of that spinach—spinach is one of the healthiest things you can eat but also particularly helpful for your skin and nails. It contains vitamin C and beta-carotene, which help protect your skin from the aging affects of UV rays. Add a handful of spinach to your morning smoothie, use it as a base for your salads, or sauté spinach with garlic and a bit of salt for a tasty veggie side to your dinner. Can young women take Vitamin E capsules for a healthy skin?-Dr. Rasya Dixit

01:40
Vitamins and use of vitamins is highly recommended nowadays and information is now available about different vitamins which are very helpful for the skin and hair and one of them is a vitamin which is a fat soluble vitamin, vitamin E. Vitamin E is needed for the normal function of the skin, it is a good moisturiser and as good as vitamin E is please remember that vitamin E is fat soluble. In the sense that this vitamin gets accumulated and stored in the body. When you take more vitamin without releasing that it is accumulating in your body it is going to have an effect on other vitamin which is called vitamin K or prothrombin and it is going to decrease the effect of this. That means easily you can bruise. It is also known to increase the level of fat, triglyceride in your blood. So too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Speak to your dermatologist and your physician and you should follow whatever schedule they give you. Do not consume less or more than what they recommend.

04:28
Best foods for healthy hair and skin. Foods good for healthy hair growth. Foods for healthy skin. What you eat each day not only affects your health, it can make a huge difference in the way your hair looks and feels. While taking individual vitamins and mineral may be of some benefits, it’s eating the real whole foods that will supply hair with all that it needs to remain healthy, strong and lustrous… Besides, taking isolated or synthetic vitamins can also cause unwanted side effects. For example, biotin supplements can cause acne, nausea or stomach cramps in some people. So unless you have a real deficiency, the best way to take your vitamins is by eating fresh, healthy foods. Ready to give your hair a boost? Here are 7 foods to make sure you are getting the essential nutrients your hair’s craving for… 1. Cucumber Cucumbers have not received as much fame as other vegetables in terms of health benefits. In fact, it is packed full of antioxidants which help our body get rid of free radicals –if they are not removed quickly they can cause signs of aging including wrinkles, and dull and weak hair. 2. Flax seeds These tiny seeds are packed with hair nourishing vitamins, minerals and fats. Flax seeds are actually the richest vegetable source of omega-3 fatty acids – which help to nourish your hair follicles and moisturise your scalp skin. Dry, flaky scalp is often attributed to lack of omega-3 in the diet. 3. Chicken Chicken contains protein. And hair and nails are made of protein. So chicken is good for hair and nails. That was a simple explanation. But it’s more than just that… Chicken contains cysteine which provides strengthen to the hair shaft. What is cysteine and why is it important for hair? 4. Sweet Potato Sweet potato is found everywhere in the world. It tastes yum and also has very high nutritional value. Sweet potatoes are loaded with beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a powerful antioxidant and it helps protect our skin — including scalp skin — from damage caused by UV rays. It’s nature’s own sunscreen. 5. Mung Beans When I was growing up, mung bean was a staple for breakfast in our house. So my love for this bean is very special. Mung beans are literally the multivitamin for hair. It contains plenty of hair nourishing nutrients such as: protein, iron, magnesium, calcium, and B vitamins. Mung beans are also a rich source of folic acid, which is necessary for the health of red blood cells that supply our body (including our scalp) with much-needed oxygen. Folic acid is also essential for cell rejuvenation – deficiency of this vitamin will cause fragile and stunted hair growth. 6. Almonds Almonds are another fab food for hair. Almonds are one of the best sources of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, which help repair damaged hair follicles caused by pollution and ultra-violet sun rays. Almonds also contain good amounts of biotin. Lately there’s been a lot of buzz about biotin, which is touted as the important vitamin for healthy hair. Some research shows that biotin may help strengthen hair and thus reduce hair loss. 7. Amla Amla is tonic for hair. It has played a key role in long, thick, beautiful hair of Indian women for centuries. According to ayurveda, amla slows hair loss and greying and promotes strong, healthy, and lustrous hair. Amla is a powerful antioxidant and the richest source of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps to prevent hair breakage and to support healthy scalp circulation, which is key for healthy hair growth. The benefits of alfalfa come as little surprise, as per the researchers themselves, alfalfa has risen from simple animal feed to becoming a much-welcome component of the human diet. The wealth of nutrients is such that alfalfa is often utilized as an ingredient in diets intended to prevent and treat metabolic conditions. Numerous studies have been carried out across the decades looking into the health benefits of alfalfa. One study suggested that alfalfa leaf extract can help support the body in combating digestive tract disorders and malnutrition, it could be used to enhance strength and boost immunity too. According to a study in Pakistan, alfalfa sprouts are a successful and effective anti-diabetic food because of their ability to lower blood glucose levels. They may also decrease the dependency on insulin. Alfalfa helps blood circulation and strengthens immunity, protects against the development of dangerous diseases of the digestive tract, combats anemia and many other health ailments. Different parts of the alfalfa plant have varied uses and effects. In traditional Chinese medicine, fresh alfalfa juice is used to treat kidney stones, while the plant root is said to control fevers and improve jaundice. Alfalfa leaves contain saponin ‘ a compound that might have a cholesterol-lowering effect. If you have a problem with hair thinning and hair loss, then alfalfa is the plant for you. Its vitamin content improves scalp circulation and provides antioxidants for the hair follicles. Another helpful nutrient found in alfalfa is silica, which stimulates healthier hair growth and also strengthens hair. The abundance of vitamins and minerals found in alfalfa are very helpful to keep the skin healthy. They all work together to keep the skin supple and hydrated. These nutrients also cleanse the skin from within, giving off a natural and healthy glow. For those who are battling with dry skin, then taking in some alfalfa will be a big help. The chlorophyll content and vitamin A content treats dry skin, making sure the skin is properly moisturized. Also, the chlorophyll in alfalfa acts as a natural cleanser and cleanses the impurities from the body and fights off infections. The regular consumption of alfalfa also does wonders with skin diseases. This sprout is super effective in treating eczema as well as psoriasis. Alfalfa as a nutritional supplement is available in a wide array of forms, including capsules, powders, and tablets. Infusions made from the leaves and seeds can be purchased as well. Another way to add alfalfa to your diet is by eating it as sprouts. Alfalfa sprouts can be added to your diet in many ways, such as in a sandwich or mixed into a salad.
