In this sneak peak of their workshop, Guido Sijbers and Truus Kersten discuss working with the Self-Soother Mode in cluster C PD. We talk about the specific characteristics of this mode and also focus on the differences with other avoidant coping modes. We explain how it can be observed in and outside the therapy session. We also give a short introduction on the core elements of evidence based addiction treatment (CBT) and suitable Schema Therapy techniques. We will argue that the Self-Soother can be a hidden mode, illustrated by case examples of Cluster C-patients in different treatment settings, such as General Mental Health, Addiction and Forensic settings. We will present different Mode Conceptualizations. The practical part of the workshop consists of: A demonstration of a mode dialogue with the Self-Soother; here we will focus on the specific pittfalls with cluster C patients that make them tend to avoid behavior change. A demonstration how to make a step by step plan, in mutual agreement, to beat the addictive behavior. A roleplay exercise in which participants learn to work with the Self-Soother in dyads. How to lose weight fast by drinking water 100% effective Water may very well be the most underrated nutrient—especially when it comes to weight loss. Sure, “calories in versus calories out” is still a thing, but how much water you drink plays a huge role in determining what side of that equation you come out on. For a long time, drinking water has been thought to help with weight loss. In fact, 30–59% of US adults who try to lose weight increase their water intake. Many studies show that drinking more water may benefit weight loss and maintenance. So watch the Entire video to know the 6 ways to lose weight with water. 1.Drink water throughout the day. Drinking water during the day can help keep you feeling full without consuming high-calorie beverages such as milk, tea with milk, juice and snacks that will make you gain more weight. You may also eat less when you do have a snack, as you should already have the sensation of being full. Consuming fewer calories on a daily basis can help speed weight loss If you do not enjoy drinking water, try flavored water instead. Buy calorie-free flavor packets for a tastier water experience. 2.Drink Water Before Meals: Some people claim that drinking water before a meal reduces appetite. There actually seems to be some truth behind this, but almost exclusively in middle-aged and older adults. Studies of older adults have shown that drinking water before each meal may increase weight loss by 2 kg over a 12-week period. In one study, middle-aged overweight and obese participants who drank water before each meal lost 44% more weight, compared to a group that did not drink more water. Another study also showed that drinking water before breakfast reduced the number of calories consumed during the meal by 13%. 3.Replace sweetened drinks with water. Instead of drinking soda, alcoholic beverages, smoothies, or other high-calorie drinks, grab a glass or bottle of water. Swapping in a zero-calorie beverage for high-calorie alternatives can spare you hundreds of calories per day, further aiding in weight loss. 4.Drink at-least the recommended amount of water a day. Do not drink it all in one sitting, but instead have one cup of water at a time over the course of 9-10 water breaks. This is to replenish the water you lose throughout the day. Drink more water if you can; 2-liters is the minimum. 5.Eat-Water-Rich-Food-Throughout-The-Diet. When you do eat, find foods that have a high water content. Fruit and vegetables are great for this. Try watermelon, strawberries, zucchini, peaches, tomatoes, cauliflower, pineapple, eggplant, or broccoli. If you must eat meat, have a lean meat like chicken or turkey instead of red meat or pork will help lose weight fast. 6.Try-The-Green-Tea-Diet. This one just requires you to have an 8oz glass or hot or cold green tea four times a day, when you first get up and before every meal. The tea will help boost antioxidants in your system and help you to feel full before meals, thus eating less. Mayo Clinic is hosting a grand opening ceremony for its new radiation oncology treatment center in Northfield, Minn. on Monday, June 27, at 3 p.m. The new 13,000 square-foot facility employs 12 people and is located at 1821 North Ave. The center meets the requirements of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification program, meaning it has been built with energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality and resource stewardship in mind. The presentation will cover the family systems origins, the contributing personality disorder factors, and the attachment-system foundations that lead to parental alienation following divorce. A set of three diagnostic indicators in the child’s symptom display will be identified that can reliably identify the presence or absence of parental alienation as the cause of the child’s rejection of a relationship with a parent. Learning Objectives: Those who attend this lecture will be able to: - Understand the family systems origins of parental alienation following divorce. - Understand how parental personality disorder dynamics create the family processes associated with parental alienation. - Understand the origins of parental alienation in disturbances to the alienating parent’s own attachment system. - Recognize and describe the three key diagnostic features of an attachment-based model of parental alienation. Bio: Dr. Craig Childress is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child and family therapy, parent-child conflict, marital conflict, and child development. Dr. Childress has an additional background specialty in early childhood mental health involving the attachment system and the neuro-development of the brain during childhood. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Childress served as the clinical director for a children’s assessment and treatment center operated under the auspices of California State University, San Bernardino. He also was on medical staff at Children’s Hospital of Orange County as a pediatric psychologist, where he served on a collaborative project with the UCI Child Development Center regarding the early identification of ADHD in preschool-age children. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Childress currently teaches graduate-level courses in child development, diagnosis and psychopathology, psychotherapy and treatment planning, and research methodology through the University of Phoenix. He has written extensively on an attachment-based model of parental alienation on his website (www.cachildress.org) and blog (drcraigchildressblog.com), and he has served as an expert consultant and witness in legal cases involving “parental alienation” across the United States and Canada.

Simply put, lean protein sources have less saturated fat and fewer calories. • Replace beef and pork with chicken and turkey. Fish is also lower in fat than most red meat and has additional health benefits. When possible, you should opt for fresh fish over sardines, tuna, or other fish packed in oil 7.Avoid diet-busters. While there is some room for forgiveness in your diet, there are certain foods and drinks that are more likely to throw your diet off altogether. These should be avoided as much as possible. Take foods with empty-calories and no nutritional benefit out of your diet. Drinks like soda and foods like frozen French-fries and sweet breakfast cereals should be avoided. 8.Limit your intake of saturated-fats. Saturated-fats are less beneficial to your body than unsaturated fats and are usually found in animal sources, like dairy and meat, as well as hydrogenated-oils.
