Ohio Emergency Operations Center "War Room"
Notice the only name plate that wasn't black was HELP DESK and it was RED. Why? Because nobody can survive without Internet Help Desk!!!! :) This is the "war room" at the EOC in Columbus, Ohio. It's 1 floor below ground, hardened bunker walls, separate ventilation system, 4 gigantic situation screens with about guessing 75 stations with telephone, computer, etc each designated for a specific agency from FBI and FEMA to State and Local resources. There is also a room that is like a vault which houses radio equipment and it's sole purpose to is allow the radios in it survive an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) which would knock out all other unprotected electronics. There was a full kitchen and water filtration system and about 4 other rooms about 1/4 this size for other meetings to happen out of the war room.

6 Steps to Developing an Emergency Action Plan for Your Facility | Seton Video
The most effective way to respond to any emergency, is to prepare for it before it even happens. Very few people have the ability to remain calm and think clearly in a crisis, so it is important to do so in advance, when you have the time to adequately plan for a wide array of workplace emergency scenarios. Any unforeseen situation that threatens your employees, customers, or the public; disrupts or shuts down your operations; or causes physical or environmental damage, is considered a workplace emergency. They can include natural disasters like floods, hurricanes and tornadoes… or man-made ones like fires, chemical spills, explosions, and outbreaks of workplace violence. Surprising Secrets Hidden Inside the White House
See more at www.brilliantnews.com The Emblematic White House. Home and Office to the President of the United States of America. Over the last 226 years it has been renovated, had extensions built and even been burnt down, so it's no surprise that today it's full of hidden features and built-in secrets! #1 Secret Tunnels There is actually a whole network of underground passages, rooms and tunnels buried beneath the White House. Two floors deep. Complete with a Bowling Alley, Dentist's and even a chocolate shop with rumors however spurious of a system of tunnels leading to other important buildings. #2 Secret Alarms You'd expect the president's Oval Office to be packed full of security guards, to protect him in case negotiations go sideways, right? But his elite bodyguards actually have to wait outside. Instead there are various items on the president's desk that if casually moved trigger secret alarms, signalling the guards to come rushing in. #3 Air and Water Supply Sometimes not all citizens are rooting for the same candidate to become president and it wouldn't take much for them to poison the President's water or air supply. That's why the water that enters the grounds passes through it's own special filtration system and is constantly monitored for toxins. Even the air inside the White House is pressurized higher than the air outside thus keeping out any possible chemical or biological attacks. #4 Infrared Sensors Over the years security within the White House grounds has multiplied. Gone are the days when you could wander right on up to the front door, as security has the place fenced off, with restricted areas hidden guards with dogs and even infrared sensors which trigger the alarms. #5 Secret Trapdoor For years it has been thought that there is a secret trapdoor underneath the President's desk. This perhaps stems from JFK's presidency, where an opening panel was added. However there is talk of a secret door panel in a wall in the Oval Office which leads to a hidden staircase descending into the White House's underground tunnel system. #6 Rooftop Surveillance Other than the occasional agents with cameras, the rooftops are filled with instruments and antennas said to be used to monitor the airspace above the grounds and perhaps even anti-drone vigilance. #7 Pool Tunnel The White House has an outdoor poor for the first family to enjoy the summer months. However heaven forbid an avid paparazzi should snap a picture of the Pressi in a speedo, the pool can be accessed through an underground tunnel. Problem solved. #8 Pressure Pads Apart from hidden sensors, the Oval Office also has pressure pads built into the floor so even though the agents stay outside, they know where the President is at all times, in case they have to burst in at any given time. #9 Wine Cellar The size of the first family's wine cellar is kept very hush hush, however judging by the underground bowling alley and chocolate shop, one can only imagine a winery of presidential proportions. But according to one source the wine cellar is only the size of a small closet. #10 No Secrets Having the most dangerous job in America requires a high level of surveillance. Dozens of agents knowing the locations and activities of the First Family members at all times. This becomes awkward when the President or code name: Renegade and his wife: Renaissance want to get intimate. Or according to inside agents code: When Renegade and Renaissance are Discussing the Bosnian Problem. Which of these White House Secrets surprised you the most? Comment Below!

Crash Truck Dash Cam #2: AA 383 Engine Fire at O’Hare
Note the tilt alarm shrieking on every gentle turn, and welcome to a reality of these real-life monster trucks: they roll. Physics is very unfriendly to high center-of-gravity vehicles full of sloshing water, particularly when combined with an adrenaline-fueled driver experiencing the tunnel vision that can set in when a call comes through. (A common theme in NTSB interviews: firefighters don't remember hearing the tilt alarm.) Did I mention that crash trucks often have a curb weight in excess of 100,000 pounds? Something to consider on those occasions where it seems as though fire rescue crews are taking forever to respond: They are useless if they don’t arrive. Continuing.... On October 28, 2016, at 2:32 p.m. CDT, a Boeing 767-300 (registration N345AN), scheduled as American Airlines flight 383 bound for Miami, Florida experienced an uncontained right engine failure and subsequent fire during its takeoff ground roll on runway 28R at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The flight crew aborted the takeoff and stopped the aircraft on the runway and an emergency evacuation was conducted. Of the 161 passengers and 9 crew members onboard, one passenger received serious injuries during the evacuation and another 19 experienced minor injuries. The airplane was substantially damaged by the fire. Here is some more information you likely have not heard elsewhere: -It took firefighters ten hours to completely stop the fuel leak. To capture leaking fuel, firefighters first used eight containment pools, and eventually placed a fuel bowser beneath the wing. -Airport firefighters saw this fire from the station and started responding immediately, prior to notification from the tower -One of the first units on scene included a firefighter who had been with Chicago Fire Department for 36 years. He had never before responded to an aircraft fire and was scheduled to retire the following day. At 11:00 in this video you can hear him saying "I finally got my fire! Luckily no one was hurt." -Not all equipment was functional during the incident. Cameras which had recently been tested malfunctioned, and one of the high-reach extendible turrets on a crash truck was out of service. -One of the ejected turbine disc fragments pierced through the plane's wing and continued thousands of feet through the air, eventually falling through the roof of a UPS shipping facility, bouncing off the floor, breaking it (the floor, that is), and finally landing on a loading rack - over 3,000 feet away. Check out the photo album at http://tiny.cc/AA383Pics (case sensitive). -Firefighters used over 24,000 gallons of finished foam (720 gallons of 3% AFFF concentrate) on this fire. -The estimated cost to repair runway damage due to heat and gouges from flying turbine shrapnel was close to $1,000,000. It was necessary to cut a section of runway out of the ground. (Noise reduction was liberally applied to the audio track, including frequency-specific notch filters for the ear-piercing high-pitch tones. The way it sounded prior... could be used for riot control.) 1/3/18: Many additional documents from the NTSB investigation have been added to Google Drive - flight crew checklists, training manual excerpts, interview transcripts, metallurgy reports on the failed disc, and more. To join the 15,000+ people who have taken advantage of that (free) information resource, visit http://tiny.cc/AA383. ~~~~~~ Producing What You Haven't Seen is immensely rewarding, but it's a full-time job and in the long run I can't do it without you. Consistently producing the content you enjoy takes a tremendous amount of time and a non-trivial amount of money, and no matter how many views this channel gets I don't get a penny from YouTube. With an increasing emphasis on emergency management, it officially became OES in 1970. In 2004, the California Legislature merged OES and the Governor’s Office of Criminal Justice Planning, which was responsible for providing state and federal grant funds to local communities to prevent crime and help crime victims. In 2003, with the State increasing its focus on terrorism prevention after the attacks of 9/11, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security (OHS) was established through an Executive Order by Governor Gray Davis. In 2009, the California Legislature merged the powers, purposes, and responsibilities of the former OES with those of OHS into the newly- created California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA). On July 1, 2013, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.’s Reorganization Plan #2 eliminated Cal EMA and restored it to the Governor’s Office, renaming it the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), and merging it with the Office of Public Safety Communications.

GLOBALMAXIM: UNICEF: New York - Prince Harry of the United Kingdom visited the UNICEF Emergency Operations Centre in New York to gain a better understanding of the effect of emergencies on children globally. He met with key staff and learnt the effects of emergencies on children globally and what UNICEF does to strategically assist children during these disasters. The Prince gained an understating of how geospatial mapping is used to co-ordinate relief and rescue after a disaster. SOUNDBITE (English) Hilde Johnson, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director: "The main issue for us was actually to show the breadth and the depth and the huge scope of UNICEF's Emergency Operations." During his visit, Prince Harry saw some of the emergency supplies UNICEF sends out to help children caught up in crises. "School --in-a- box" is a hardy set of equipment that can provide 40 children with educational supplies in the event that there school has been destroyed. As patron of the charity Map Action, Prince Harry has taken a keen interest in the emergency work of humanitarian organizations. SOUNDBITE (English) Hilde Johnson, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director: "It's extremely important for us to have Prince Harry here in UNICEF at Headquarters; both because it shows the significance interest that he is taking in our work. Intralogic featured on News 12 - Stepped Up Security at Huntington Jewish Center - March 8, 2017
News 12 Long Island featured IntraLogic Solutions installing a new security system for The Huntington Jewish Center, which includes on-site technology, panic buttons, cameras inside and outside the facility, controls to lock the doors, and strobe lights. The system also includes a news smartphone app, ILS One-button Lockdown. The ILS One-button Lockdown system provides officials with a direct link via mobile technology to police and alerts area first responders to a situation. Once an alert is issued by personnel, police personnel automatically access critical contact information and floor plans, control remote door locks and view live footage from closed-circuit security cameras so that responding officers receive real-time intelligence. With the press of a button, ILS One-button Lockdown enables facility personnel to instantly contact 9-1-1 and authorities and inform them of a crisis, whether it be a life-threatening medical condition, a fire, active shooter or other emergency situation. Leveraging 9-1-1 data delivery capabilities, which features precise caller location including speed and direction of travel, IntraLogic’s technology will then provide first responders with greater intelligence such as video surveillance, digital floor plans and detailed maps of the facility, and remote access control – all before they even arrive on scene. This patent-pending One-Button Lockdown, will also enable facilities to secure all doors with a single click. ILS One-button Lockdown system is currently being deployed in Nassau County, NY and is also available throughout the United States. via Corbett Public Relations Long Island www.corbettpr.com

Consolidated 911 Dispatch Groundbreaking - interview w/Mayor & Police Chief
On Tuesday, July 26, officials from multiple jurisdictions in Charleston County gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony for the future building planned to house the County's Consolidated 9-1-1 Center and Emergency Operations Center. The new structure, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2013, will enable the full consolidation of 9-1-1 and emergency dispatch operations in Charleston County, and will also serve as the new location for the County's Emergency Operations Center. An Intergovernmental Agreement signed in January 2008 joins all local jurisdictions within Charleston County in the plan toward consolidating 9-1-1 and dispatch services. Steps toward consolidation have already been taken, with some jurisdictions opting for early consolidation into the current center located in the County's Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building in North Charleston. The remaining jurisdictions plan to transition their dispatchers to the new Consolidated 9-1-1 Center once it is completed. "Consolidation benefits the public by providing dispatchers the ability to talk directly to each other as they are handling emergency calls requiring multi-jurisdictional response, ultimately reducing response times and saving lives," said Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Board Chairman Jon Zumalt, who is also the North Charleston Police Chief. FACTS ABOUT THE NEW 9-1-1 AND EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER: Location: 8500 Palmetto Commerce Parkway, North Charleston, S.C. Size: approximately 38,000 square feet. Estimated opening date: spring 2013. Facility: two-story structure with backup electrical, water and sewer to ensure continuous operation. "Green" features: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver certification goal, rainwater collection, water efficient landscaping and use of recycled materials. Approved budget: $26,780,000. Safety: the building is designed to be occupied during disasters, with the ability to withstand winds of 191 mph and resist earthquake forces. The first floor will be at elevation 49 feet, which is outside of the 500 year flood plain.

Window washer accident leaves 2 workers dangling at 1 World Trade Center’s 69th floor
New York emergency workers rescued two window washers trapped on a scaffolding dangling outside One World Trade Center's 69th floor Wednesday afternoon, according to a New York Times report. While details remain scarce, authorities say one of the scaffold's cables snapped leaving the basket dangling at a precarious angle. In what New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio called "an extraordinary effort" firefighters managed to saw through a double-paned glass window using diamond cutters and rescue the two men. The pair worked for a company called Upgrade, according to CNN citing a spokeswoman for New York's Port Authority. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. PilotsEYE.tv "Director Flt Ops & Training Policy @ Airbus" CPT Chris Norden - The whole Interview
Capt. Christian Norden, Austrian native, is currently Director of Flight Operations and Training Policy at Airbus. He chaired the team of Airbus pilots and engineers, who developed the A350 pilot type rating courses, setting new standards for this kind of training. He is also involved in test-flights and evaluation of the A350 since 2011 and supports the airlines in the first days of operation of their new purchased planes. This interview has been taped during the shooting of "Lufthansa's next topmodel" - Episode 19, PilotsEYE.tv © 2016. The latest episode of PilotsEYE.tv introduces the new Airbus A350, made using the most modern construction methods yet for a commercial aircraft. Most significantly, the A350 boasts 20% less weight and 25% lower fuel consumption. The most important man in the film is the head of the fleet, Captain Martin Hoell, who allowed PilotsEYE to accompany him on his visits to factories in Hamburg and Bremen and even to the final assembly line (FAL) in Toulouse. Aboard the maiden flight from Munich to Boston, he describes the individual stages of manu¬facturing needed to make this, the first of 25 aircraft for whose phasing in he is responsible. For the first time in the ten years of PilotsEYE.tv's existence, it was possible to film the hallowed delivery flight, during which, for example, all the hydraulic systems necessary for steering the actual flight are turned off. A truly “high-level emergency test”. Also for the first time, the film crew was able to turn their cameras on the Iron Bird, the skeleton aircraft built in a secret hangar for initial flight tests three years before the prototype. Highlights: Roll-in: the welcome party of the year Iron Bird: inside Airbus’s restricted area Wallpaper images: screen art from flights CFK wings: the more layers, the stronger they are Fuselage construction: 1,000 rivets and no mistakes Great together: in the cockpit and in the commentary All-engine flame-out: training the worst-case scenario Plane printing: first 3-D mass-produced components Learning from past: the A350’s new safety features Cutting edge: a jet of water at the speed of sound The PEFB: all original documents in PDF format The pilot steers, the command center thinks Striking results: repairs using Speed Tape Acceptance flight: a test-drive in the sky Pricing and availability: DVD, Blu-ray und VoD PilotsEYE.tv No. 19 BOSTON A350 “Lufthansa’s Next Top Model” is available on DVD and Blu-ray for 29.90 euros. The ALA Ambassador Alliance (America, Latin America, Africa)
The ALA Ambassador Alliance (America, Latin America, Africa) The Watchmen Program Solution for Security and all Economical & Ecological Problems #4 The ALA, Watchmen Program Alliance will begin this renewable energy facilities industry, internationally, in seven key areas. America will begin design operations in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Puerto Rico. The Latin America building operations will start in Mexico and Cuba. Africa’s manufacturing and assembly operations will start in Ghana and Gabon. From these central Ambassador Alliance, production hubs, manufacturing, and assembly will spread throughout every city, state and territory internationally. The Watchman Program is a global plan, providing homes, not just for the homeless in the United States but refugees displaced from their homes, throughout the International Community. #5 Building portable, renewable energy facilities, into homes, schools, offices, emergency medical units and portable Farms will be some of the many products manufactured and utilize within the ALA Ambassador Alliance and successfully sold, throughout the International Community. Every member, within The Alliance, will mutually benefit. The Department of Renewable Energy, providing Facility Kits will be manufactured within the United States. Latin America will Assemble facilities with new design additions, according to ordered specifications. Africa will provide building materials, as well as manufacturing enhancements for all facility structures. Our success is globally built in because our global customer list is growing. #6 Critical, instant, infrastructure facilities, strongly built and portable, utilizing renewable energy, is what’s highly sought-after by corporations and government agencies worldwide; again, giving us instant international marketability and a clientele list with endless success. Many oil-producing nations and members of OPEC are planning for the future, seeking a new form of revenue, apart from oil. The future of Smart, Renewable Energy Facilities, an industry producing trillions in new revenue. is today. The Global Community will proactively prosper becoming greener and cleaner, beyond the old Kyoto Protocol or even the new Paris Environmental Agreement. All nations must actively prepare, alarming terrorist attacks & cyber threats solidify the safety needs of Homeland Security, with backup data, portable emergency facility offices. #7 Homeland Security consists of at least 22 agencies, which includes FEMA and the CDC (Centers Disease Control) all needing now, portable emergency operation offices. Note: USC (PREP) Centers. In addition, Emergency Management Agency inclement weather needs, demands these portable emergency facilities to be on hand, ready to go. Bigger typhoons and hurricanes names, then Matthew are on the way. Frankly Speaking, we must be concerned about Mark, Luke, and John because a smorgasbord of emergency disasters, of biblical proportions, are coming and we must be prepared. International marketing services by the US Department of Commerce will be a great assistance. They will conduct Trade show, Matchmaker Missions and global conferences, displaying these portable, renewable energy facilities, near the 200-plus United States embassies, commercial section and consulate offices around the world. Global clients will include the UN EAR, United Nations, the World Food Bank as well as allied military base installations internationally. #8 Moreover, built-in, within this economic job-creation plan, is an awesome source of funding for emergency projects worldwide. For example, embedded within, is the Debt Relief and ZIKA Watchmen program funding plan. This funding includes not just wiping out Puerto Rico's debt but also leaving a surplus within each bank account, for every citizen. And the entire ZIKA funding request of nearly two billion dollars will also be provided. Also two billion for the prop HHH, (homes, help, Hope) City Council homeless initiative, in Los Angeles will find it’s full funding within this plan. Yes, this means no new taxes, no new spending plan or programs cuts needed. Special aid is included for the HDR 3484, leasing act housing for veterans that are homeless. The who, what, when, why, where and how we pay for it all, it's within the publication “Reconciling Us or revolution.” Format links, (PDF) and (Audio). Having a joint replacement surgery (Hip Replacement Surgery)
Having a joint replacement surgery - hip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww9Nvahn8Tc Transcript: Welcome to the Toronto Western Hospital . In this video you will learn how to prepare for your joint replacement surgery, the importance of participating in therapy and the importance of caring for yourself during recovery including controlling pain and recognizing complications. Joint replacement surgery referred to as arthroplasty is a surgery to relieve pain and restore range of motion by reconstructing a joint. Hip Replacement surgery (Arthroplasty): To help you understand hip replacement surgery. The hip joint, which is the largest bone in the body, is a ball and socket joint. Normally, a layer of cartilage combined with joint fluid allows the hip to move smoothly and painlessly. In other cases the surfaces of the hip joint become uneven due to wear and tear and friction stops the joint from moving properly. This makes certain hip movements like bending, straightening, lifting or twisting at the hip painful or even impossible to do. During this surgery there will an in incision made along your hip and the damaged hip bone, the femoral head will be removed. Then a new hip prosthesis, an artificial attachment, will be sized to fit and inserted. How to prepare before your surgery: Total hip replacement surgery is a significant event you need to prepare for. The majority of patients are ready to go home after three (3) days of surgery and an important part of planning is preparing meals ahead of time and having a good supply of food or frozen food ready for your return home. If this is not possible and you worry about being left alone you may consider a short stay at a respite centre. For your safety, keep floors and stairs free of objects that can cause you to trip and fall. We recommend removing loose rugs and clearing up electrical cords. Also you may want to ask someone to come stay with you to help you during the first few days. After your surgery you may experience a change in your balance and energy. It is important you find different way to continue doing your daily activities safely while regaining your independence. Organize your home so that commonly used items are at waist level and are within safe reach. It is also important to lower high objects from cupboards and raise objects from lower cupboards to be within your reach. You can use a raised chair while in the kitchen to avoid standing for a long time. Your health care team will tell you about equipment that you can rent or buy and we will show more equipment throughout this video. Points to remember before your surgery: Prepare meals ahead; check home for safety hazards; arrange for support at home and rent or buy equipment to help you walk or use the washroom safely. Items to bring to the hospital: You will need to pack some items for your stay at the hospital. Bring a comfortable pair of shoes that are a half to one size large then your normal shoe size as your leg and foot will get swollen. You may want to bring ear plugs as the hospital can get quite noisy at times. We also suggest an eye mask since the nurse will be checking on you throughout the night and will need to turn the lights on. Day of the surgery: On the day of your surgery take the elevator located in the Fell pavilion and go to the second floor. When you exit the elevator you will see the pre-operative care unit. The waiting area is located in this unit for your family or friends. Once the surgery is over the surgeon will speak with your family and let them know how you are doing? If no one is waiting for you, you can ask your surgeon to call your family member. Alternatively they can call the unit to find out how you are doing. Let them know your hospital needs to respect your confidentiality and can only give limited information. The contact number for this unit can be found in the surgery binder you received during your pre-admission visit. Points to remember: Bring a larger sized shoe; bring earplugs and/or eye mask; Arrive at the Preoperative Care Unit (POCU). After your surgery: After your surgery you will be moved to an in-patient unit where you will spend the rest of your stay in a hospital. If at any time you need assistance please use the call bell and let the ward clerk know. The ward clerk will get the right person to help you. Personal Care Assistants or PCA's will assist with your personal needs such as a request for supplies or assistance going to the washroom. Nurses will assist your recovery needs such as monitoring vital signs, giving medications, changing dressing and handling any emergency situations. Once you are in the in-patient unit please let your nurse know of special diet requirements or food allergies.
