Antibacterial Products: More Harm Than Good?

02:59
By Heidi Hatch(KUTV) Many of us look to antibacterial products to keep our families safe and healthy. However, antibacterial products may do more harm than good. The FDA is weighing the risks verses benefits of antibacterial products carrying the chemical triclosan. Although, this has been a topic of debate for decades, the FDA is now saying they are nearing a final decision on whether products in the U.S. can continue to use the chemical. The stepped up urgency has come in recent years with tests indicating the chemical could be a carcinogen, could wreak havoc on the immune system and interrupt the work of the thyroid gland that controls your body€™s hormones. Triclosan is most commonly used in antibacterial soaps that line store shelves, but is also found in other products, including deodorants, body-wash, clothes, toys, laundry soap, and toothpaste. Joshua Redd, a chiropractic physician, is one of a growing number of doctors and activists concerned about what triclosan can do to the body. Redd says a new study on the chemical is, €œpretty alarming, showing decreased heart function by 25% and muscle function by 18%€ when triclosan is introduced to lab animals. The European Union banned triclosan in most of its products years ago over concerns that have been widely reported on for decades. Redd explains, €œOur thyroid hormones are crucial and with triclosan mimicking your thyroid hormones it can cause a slew of different problems in the endocrine system.€ He says it can cause €œearly onset of puberty, and problems with testosterone, estrogen and the reproductive system.€ Nixon was president when the FDA started reviewing the chemical. In 1972, Congress asked the FDA to officially investigate the safety of triclosan. Six years later, the FDA published its first tentative guidelines, saying triclosan is not generally recognized as safe and effective, Flash forward 40 years and studies show triclosan is no better than old fashioned soap and water for cleaning your hands, but at the same time could be creating antibiotic resistant germs. The only thing triclosan has ever been approved for is toothpaste. Colgate uses it in some of their products to fight gingivitis. While it can help in preventing gingivitis, some doctors wonder if it could do more damage as it is easily taken into the blood stream through the mouth. A recent study shows 75% of Americans test positive for the chemical in their urine, as well as in the breast milk of nursing mothers. As for the slew of concerning studies there is one significant problem€”most of the studies have been done on animals as opposed to humans. Dr. Dev Abraham, an endocrinologist who specializes in thyroid cancer at the University of Utah, points out that €œin animal models the dose of compounds is often hundreds to thousands higher than what we are exposed to on a day to day basis as humans.€ Making the connection he says, at this point, may be a leap. He is waiting for a clear ruling from the FDA, but until then, he tells his patients, €œIf you€™re not sure, and concerned, the best thing is to buy is plain soap.€If you want to check the products you use at home, look on the back. Soaps and cleaning products will list triclosan as an active ingredient. In clothes and toys it will be listed as an €œanti-microbial€ product or under the chemical name microban. Because the chemical is used in many products, it also makes its way into ground water where it becomes a chemical known as dioxin€”a cancer causing agent. The FDA has committed to making a decision in the next few months. And while they are looking at science, you can be sure there are large multi-million and billion dollar companies urging them to rule in their favor. Antibacterial products are big sellers and huge money makers that could cost companies who use them. Here€™s what the FDA has said to date: http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm205999.htmMayo Clinic response: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/triclosan/AN02141(Copyright 2013 Sinclair Broadcasting Group)

Dr. Grossman undertook the study of nutritional and anti-aging medicine in 1994 and in 1995 opened the Grossman Wellness Center in Denver, which quickly grew into one of the largest complementary medical centers in the country. Estrogen dominance is a term that describes a condition where a person can have deficient, normal or excessive estrogen levels in the body, which can manifest as symptoms such as weight gain, skin conditions, muscle loss, mood disorders, and other complications. "Adrenal fatigue is a collection of signs and symptoms, known as a syndrome, that results when the adrenal glands function below the necessary level. 01:28:57
01:05 – Jeff – Keep up the GREAT work Doc!!!! Love your spirit. What’s up with my toenails? Short and sweet. I bumped one once and they went into this… 04:39 – jude2005386 – What’s your opinion concerning the popular Liver and Gallbladder cleanse? Would you do it? 11:43- Christe - Dearest Dr Robert. I want to thank you from the bottom of your heart for being such an amazing light in this very very lost society. I have been walking with this intense feeling and yearning in my heart to reach out to people. I have this knowing that my life purpose is to be a healer and to help and lead others into the light. I am currently a student of homoeopathic medicine in South Africa but I have opened my eyes to all natural and ancient forms of healing and have completely adopted the raw fruits lifestyle. I know that I shouldnt be waiting until I graduate to start helping people but self doubt has been a really big obstacle for me. I want you to know that it is your videos that have helped me to realize that I am doing myself and the world a big injustice by not following my calling with absolute faith. There are no words to explain the resonance I feel with your energy in your videos and I truly hope that one day I will be able to sit down with you for a session of soul feeding. 25:23 – katndognco - I have spent thousands of dollars on supplements, nutritionists, gym memberships, home gym equipment, chiropractors, vegetable produce, grass fed beef, free range chicken eggs & chickens and yet I am ill and in pain. I bought a juicer a few weeks ago. Should I be juicing fruit or eating it? I live in the mountains of Colorado where we have harsh winters, there is no naturally growing fruit during this time of year, but I can go to a grocery store. What fruits do you suggest? I'm sick of being in pain and the slow continual weight gain. I use to be very thin; under 100 lbs when I had my children 30 yrs ago, now I'm up to 200!! 40:59 – Julia – I suffer from HPPS and my symptoms are palinopsia and visual snow. Do you know hoe to cure this? 46:43 – Stud Muffin - Hey Doc, am wondering if I (37yr old male) have a baby with a woman about as unhealthy as me (pretty congested lymph wise like everyone else) but we bring that baby up totally raw etc, would the baby go through healing crisises too and therefore do a fair bit of crying in it's infancy? ty for the hard work 51:48 – Mary - Hi Dr. Morse! Let me start by saying I thank God for you! You are AMAZING and I just fell in love with you!!!!! Thanks for all you've done and are doing!!!! I'm wondering if you can give me suggestions as to what to order for my specific case. I'm a 43 yr old female. Six yrs ago, I started developing weird neuro-muscular symptoms. 1) Knees buckled and almost fell 2) difficulty swallowing with a tired, lazy tongue that also causes difficulty talking at times 3) Weak and fatigued quad muscles 4) Just developed weak upper arms last week! 5) dee twitching Symptoms 2,3, and 4 are the chronic symptoms. After all of your videos I've listened to, I know you'd suggest lymph, kidneys and adrenals. along with a raw fruit diet. I'm happy to do all of that, but is there anything else I can order to speed up the detox to rid my body of these annoying symptoms? What my fear is that my 14 yr old is complaining of the same symptoms! Thanks so much for your time and effort! I'm looking forward to the road to "wellville" :) 01:04:33 – Derrick - Thank you so much for all that you do! You are a true inspiration. I've been vegan for about 8 years and started using your herbs and raw about 3 years ago and have experimented with almost every formula you have. I'm currently on all fruit and using about 8-10 formulas, including the ones that you recommend for chronic head pressure, chronic fatigue, low adrenals, etc. (Fab 4, GI broom, adrenal, heal all tea, pancreas, spleen, UpCirc BrainNerve, thyroid, pituitary, endocrine, antispasmodic, several lymphatic formulas, stomach/bowel, eyes, etc.). 01:12:17 – Robyn – I was wondering if you could please assist with a friend who is currently detoxing. 67 year old male. Case Review.

BPA Affects Male Sex Hormones?

06:38
"California today is announcing its intent to declare bisphenol A a reproductive hazard. Under a state law known as Prop. 65, warning signs would be required for consumer items that contain a certain high level of BPA. BPA is used to make polycarbonate plastic, and also is found in liners of food and beverage cans and some thermal receipts."* In a lab test, BPA was shown to a have a surprising negative impact on mens' testicles, even if they weren't the one who consumed the BPA. Now, it's being labeled a reproductive health hazard. John Iadarola (Host, TYT University), Desi Doyen (Green News Report), and Lissette Padilla (The Lip TV) discuss. *http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=california-intends-to-declare-bpa-a-reproductive-health-hazard Support The Young Turks by Subscribing http://bit.ly/TYTonYouTube Like Us on Facebook: Follow Us on Twitter: http://bit.ly/OkX87X Buy TYT Merch: http://theyoungturks.spreadshirt.com/

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Urinary incontinence is twice more common in women than in men. Pregnancy, childbirth, hormonal changes during menopause, and anatomy of the urinary tract account for this difference. Urine is produced in the kidneys and stored in the urinary bladder. Urination is the process of emptying the bladder through the urethra that connects the urinary bladder to the external urethral orifice. There are two sphincters, or valves, that keep the urethra closed to prevent leak: internal urethral sphincter located at the neck of the bladder, and external urethral sphincter located right above the external urethral orifice and supported by the pelvic floor muscles. When the bladder is full, stretch receptors in the wall of the bladder send a signal to the spinal cord and the brain. At times when it's not appropriate to urinate, the brain sends back an inhibitory signal to keep the sphincters closed and prevent voiding. When you wish to urinate, this inhibition is removed; There are several types of urinary incontinence in women: -Stress incontinence: urine leakage while sneezing, coughing, laughing or any activity that creates abdominal pressure on the bladder. In women, this typically happens as a result of pregnancy and childbirth during which these muscles are overstretched. Stress incontinence symptoms usually worsen during certain times of the menstrual cycle when estrogen level is low. Incidents also increase following menopause. This is by far the most common type of incontinence in women. -Urge incontinence: need to void that cannot be deferred, inability to hold. This is commonly caused by an overactive bladder, a condition in which muscles in the wall of the bladder contract in an uncontrollable manner. The reason why this happens is unclear but it's likely to involve problems in the nervous system. -Overflow incontinence: constant dribbling of urine. Treatment depends on the type of incontinence and severity of symptoms. Lifestyle changes: - Limit fluid intake at certain times of the day - Cut down on caffeine, alcohol, keep a healthy weight. - Try pelvic floor muscle exercises such as Kegel exercises. - Timed voiding or bladder training therapy Medication: Depending on the cause of incontinence the following types of drugs maybe prescribed: - Anticholinergics: - For stress incontinence topical estrogen may be applied Non-surgical therapies for stress incontinence include: - pessary: - bulking agent injections Surgical procedures include: - Sacral nerve stimulation: A small pulse-generator device is implanted under the skin of the buttock; the device sends mild electrical impulses to the sacral nerve -the nerve that controls bladder activity- to moderate and control bladder spasms. - Bladder suspension or sling procedures may be performed to create an artificial support for the bladder neck or urethral sphincters. These procedures usually involve tightening of the bladder neck or the urethra to strong ligaments within the pelvis or to the pubic bones.

Milk Thistle Supplement Benefits – 5 Benefits and 1 Big Danger!

06:34
Click on the link below for a free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine! http://utahtexans.com/ Today I want to share with you some of the biggest benefits to a milk thistle supplement and a few dangers. If you think about it the original prescription drugs were herbs. During the Roman Empire in 50 AD there was evidence it was used with snake bites. 100 years later it was documented to help with the liver, spleen, kidney stones and increasing the flow of urine. Speaking of the liver this is the herbs most well-known benefit and what it's used for. Helping with hepatitis, alcoholism, jaundice, cirrhosis and gallbladder problems. It has been proven to be anti-inflammatory and it's an antioxidant. Plus it could help the liver by growing new cells according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Animal studies have proven that it can help the liver, unfortunately human studies have been mixed. The good news is according to cancer research UK a study has shown it to help with reducing the harmful effects of chemotherapy on the liver. Plus according to studies by the University of Minnesota it stops cancer cell growth in prostate, skin, breast and cervical cells. There is evidence that it helps with cholesterol and with blood sugar levels. A 2006 study in Phytotherapy Research which included 51 people gave half milk thistle and the other half a placebo. By the end of the study the group that took this plant had a significant decrease in total cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol. In addition it helped regulate blood sugar levels in that group. There is also some evidence that it helps the skin. A pair of University of Colorado Cancer studies show that this plant kills skin cells mutated by UV radiation, this protects the skin from cancer and photo-aging. Photo-aging is premature aging of the skin from the sun. Let's talk about a few dangers to this alternative medicine! Sure someone can have an allergic reaction, but the truth is you could have an allergic reaction with nearly anything. You might experience diarrhea, gas, stomach pains and nausea. There is 1 danger with milk thistle that you should be aware of. In a study with the University of Pennyslvania milk thistle may slow or reduce the actions of enzymes that are used to break down foods and medicine. Let's say you start taking a prescription drug and this medicine. It influences how the body breaks down the drug therefore you can get too much of the drug or not enough of it.

3 Simple Home Remedies To TREAT URINARY TRACT INFECTION (UTI) In Women

02:26
How to treat URINE INFECTION IN WOMEN naturally? LEARN easy home remedies for curing Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Urine infections in women is a common problem. When it affects the lower urinary tract it is known as a bladder infection (cystitis) and when it affects the upper urinary tract it is known as kidney infection (pyelonephritis) . The urinary tract consists of kidneys, ureters- connecting kidneys with the bladder, bladder and the urethra. An infection of any of these parts is called a urinary tract infection(UTI) and can be caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses. As stated earlier urinary tract infection(UTI) in women is quite common the urethra in women is much shorter than in men. Both men and women gets urinary tract infections(UTI) and occasionally it's severe with men. Causes of urinary tract infection(UTI Infection): Urinary infections can happen due to blockages which make it difficult to empty the bladder. It could be due to kidney stones, enlarged prostate gland or cancers. Improper personal hygiene and bathroom hygiene can lead to UTIs. Use of spermicides or condoms can also lead to irritation of the skin and can increase the risk of a UTI. Use of diaphragms can decrease emptying of bladder and lead to an urinary tract infection. Diabetics have an increased risk of contracting urinary tract infections. Urinary infections are the main reason why women should wipe from front to back after using the bathroom. The reason behind this is that the urethra is located close to the anus and bacteria such as E.coli, which is present in the large intestine, can escape from the anus and enter the urethra. From here, they can reach the bladder, causing bladder infection. The infection should be treated as soon as possible otherwise there is a possibility of the kidneys getting infected. Post menopause, there are changes in the normal bacteria which reside in the vagina. This can increase the incidence chances of urinary tract infections(UTIs). UTIs can also happen due to use of a catheter (a tube inserted into the bladder to allow draining urine into a bag when someone cannot urinate normally) which makes it easy for bacteria to enter the bladder. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) or Bladder Infection Symptoms: • Burning sensation during urination • Increased frequency of urination • Blood in the urine • Cloudy urine • Change in colour of urine • Strong odour to urine • Pelvic pain (women) • Rectal pain (men) More serious urinary tract infections are those involving kidneys. They are bacteria can enter bloodstream from kidneys and circulate throughout the body causing septic shock and death. Pain in back and sides, chills, fever, nausea and vomiting are symptoms of upper urinary tract infection. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) Treatment: You can take UTI medication or home remedies for UTI. These natural UTI remedies are quite effective and they do not have any side effects. Natural products help the bodies’ immunity to fight the infection. It also kills the bacteria and helps to flush out the toxins from the body as they are natural diuretics. Apart from using bladder infection home remedies, you must ensure cleanliness to keep UTI infection away. So let's review urine infection home remedies: 1. Water for Urinary Tract Infection:- Bring water to a boil and add the parsley if you are using fresh-which is preferable in my opinion. Reduce the heat so it simmers steadily and let the leaves infuse the water like this for 6-10 minutes. Strain the leaves out and drink the water hot. If it’s a hot summer day, pop it in the fridge for refreshing parsley “iced tea.” This is a useful urine infection home remedy. 2. Celery Seeds For Urinary Tract Infection:- Add a tea spoon of celery seeds/ajwain to a glass of water and boil this for 10 minutes. Cool this down and drink it. This home remedy helps you to get rid of pain and discomfort caused due UTI. 3. Baking Soda for Urinary Tract Infection:- Add one teaspoon of baking soda in about 1 glass of water (250ml). Stir well and drink first thing in the morning. It reduces the acidic nature of urine and eases urinating. (Do not have it for more than one week). This a very good urine infection remedy. We hope you enjoyed our small video on urine infection home remedies. Feel free to share your thoughts by liking our video or sharing your thoughts on the comments section. Is Soy Milk Good For Diabetes

03:37
Is Soy Milk Good or Bad For Diabetes? Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, is soy milk good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid) by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Soy milk. The first thing I wanted to know was how it is made. It is not a complicated process but basically it is made by pressing soybeans that have been cooked and then ground. The result is a high protein, iron rich milky liquid. Soy and cow milk differ in many ways. Obviously taste is one. But nutritionally is higher in protein and iron and is cholesterol free. It is low in fat and low in sodium. It is also, however, low in calcium. There are a lot of different opinions about soy and the products made from it. But you would hard pressed to look in the refrigerators or cupboards of many Americans and not find something with a soy product in it. When researching this subject, I wanted to look at how soy milk might be a benefit to those of us with diabetes. Not just say it is good because of its nutritional value. I turned to a study on soy protein by a doctoral student Sandra R. Teixeira of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research focused on the use of soy proteins to show how it can improve kidney functions and heart disease. These two complications are especially important. Diabetes is the number cause of kidney failure, mainly due to protein leaking into the kidneys. The study included 14 men, aged 53 to 73 years, with type 2 diabetes, all of whom had a diagnosis of diabetes-related kidney disease. The men received pre-measured amounts of either soy protein or animal meat protein. Those who added the soy protein at their diet had a significant reduction in protein found in their urine. Those with animal protein actually had an increase of protein in their urine. The researchers say they expected the soy supplements to stabilize urine protein levels, but they did not expect the reduction. As far as heart disease, those with soy protein added to their diet saw an increase in their HDL (good) cholesterol. So, is soy milk good for diabetes? Considering the positive effect of soy protein on our bodies and that soy milk is packed with soy protein, I say yes as a substitute for other types of animal milk. I do want to dispel a few rumors I found while researching. Soy contains plant estrogen. It will not affect your estrogen hormone levels whatsoever. Plant estrogen and human estrogen are totally different. I found several scientific studies stating plant estrogen had no effect on men or women as far as hormone levels. Also, I found no scientific research supporting claims that lectins and goitrogens are harmful to the human body. I hope this answered your question is soy milk good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.

7 Surprising Things That Can Kick You Out of Ketosis

Survey Question: https://www.drberg.com/video-idea-sur... Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about the 7 Surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis: 1. Stress 2. Excessive caffeine 3. Bone broth and whey protein (and even L-Glutamine 4. MSG (monosodium glutamate) hidden in lots of foods – sauces 5. Artificial sweeteners (aspartame, saccharine) 6. Excess protein 7. Keto-friendly deserts (excessive xylitol) Hey guys, I want to create an important video on this 7 surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis. You may know the typical things like sugar and refined carbohydrates but these are the things that you may not know that are important. Stress can kick you out of ketosis because stress activates a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is the main adrenal hormone that adapts the body to stress. So any type of stress, shock to the system, surgery, trauma, allergies and even the loss of the love ones can activate stress, stress in your job or relationship stress could actually knock you out of ketosis. Next one is the excessive caffeine, one cup of coffee is not going to do anything but if you are doing coffee or tea all day long with caffeine too much of that can activate adrenaline which can then activate insulin. Bone broth in large quantities, a little bit of bone broth is not going to be an issue, I’m talking about protein. Protein can bump you out. I am not too concerned about bone broth, even when you are fasting it may knock you out a little bit but it is a very small amounts. Whey proteins is one of the top proteins, because it is a low fat and is a high protein that will stimulate insulin and knock you out with ketosis. L-Glutamine, people take that for their digestive system and they can get irritable bowel syndrome, it is a protein and can knock you out in ketosis. I am not concerned about you taking that because it really helps you in a certain ways, it is not going to put weight on but the only reason that I’m bringing it up is if you test yourself and all of the sudden it knocks you out, don’t be concerned if that’s what doing it, it is a temporary thing but it will knock you out. And then we have MSG, Monosodium glutamate another name for that is modified food starch. It is in so many foods, it is easy to avoid if you are shopping but it is very hard to avoid if you are going out to restaurants because they have it in the sauces, dressings, in some of the flavor enhancers, any food that just taste too good typically has MSG on it especially if it is a fast-food restaurant. The next one, artificial sweeteners Aspartame, Splenda - that has actual dextrin, saccharine and Maltodextrin. What are Ketones and Ketosis ? Ketogenic Cat glucose network

00:36
This is a very short video to answer the question, What are Ketones and Ketosis? http://anthonyflatt.com/WhatAreKetones What is Ketosis? Our bodies can use two fuel sources they can burn sugar / glucose or fat / ketones https://youtu.be/sZ03yrQrxpo Ketones, B-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), acetoacetate (ACA) and acetone, are the by-products of fat breakdown. Ketones can be used by the tissues, including the brain, in the body in much the same way as glucose, and are thought to be a superior fuel source to glucose. Being in a state of ketosis refers to having elevated blood levels of ketones. What is Ketosis? Our bodies can use two fuel sources, they can burn sugar (glucose) or fat (ketones) https://youtu.be/sZ03yrQrxpo What is Ketosis? Think of the body as a hybrid car that can burn electricity or gasoline for fuel. Our bodies are designed to use two different fuel sources, they can burn sugar (glucose) or fat (ketones). This is a natural adoption from the Paleolithic Era when humans would cycle through short periods of scattered vegetation and times of a purely carnivorous diet. Summer season would bring sprouts of vegetation to our primal ancestors and they would put on some body fat during this abundant time because glucose is a key to fat storage. Winter months would bring little or no vegetation resulting in a diet full of animal fat and meat. This resulted in fat adaptation and required ketosis, burning fat for fuel. Our bodies can only store a finite amount of glucose in liver and muscle. Typically this is about 2,000 calories. When you are a sugar burner, you need a constant source of fuel such as glucose that comes from carbs. Our bodies can store large amounts of fat. For example, a 150 pound person with 10% body fat has over 60,000 calories of fat storage! This is what enabled our n8tive ancestors to endure long winters without literally starving to death. Today, we have an endless supply of food (Can we really even call it that anymore?) all year around. This means most people never tap into their ketones, or n8tive fuel source. Protein Synthesis: How Much Protein You REALLY Need: Thomas DeLauer

In order to gain muscle, all you need to do is have a positive nitrogen balance Carbohydrates, protein and fats contain oxygen, carbon and hydrogen molecules. Protein, however, is the only macronutrient, which contains the nitrogen molecule. Around 90% of nitrogen is lost through the urine, so, the most common and accurate way to assess nitrogen balance is to take a nitrogen test, then subtract the amount of nitrogen lost through the urine from the amount of nitrogen (protein) you take in through your diet in a 24-hour period. As long as the level of nitrogen taken in exceeds the amount being lost, then the nitrogen balance is positive. This means you have sufficient protein in your system to enable anabolism (muscle growth). If you are losing more protein through urine than you are taking in, you are in a negative nitrogen balance, and only catabolism (muscle wastage) can result. If all is equal, the best you can do is maintain muscle. (1) In summation: Nitrogen balance compares the amount of nitrogen coming into the body (from dietary protein) to the amount being lost. If you're consuming more than you're losing, you're in positive nitrogen balance - gaining muscle If you're losing more than you're consuming, you're in negative nitrogen balance - losing muscle If you're consuming the same amount of nitrogen that you're losing, you're in equilibrium - maintaining muscle Studies have shown that you actually don’t need to consume an exorbitant amount of protein in order to have a positive nitrogen balance So, how much protein do you really need? Many people believe that at least 1 g of protein/lb bodyweight is necessary to retain and put on muscle; however, studies have shown that much less than 1 gram/lb bodyweight is necessary Many review papers have concluded 0.82g/lb is the upper limit at which protein intake benefits body composition However, one study found no differences in muscle mass or strength gains in bodybuilders consuming either 0.61g/lb or 1.19g/lb over a 4-week period. Based on nitrogen balance data, the authors recommended 0.75g/lb . Another study found no differences in body composition, strength or resting hormonal concentrations in strength athletes consuming either 0.77g/lb or 0.91g/lb over a 3 month period. If you train hard and/or are cutting If you still think you need more than 0.82g/lb because you think you train harder than these test subjects, you don’t. Lemon (1992) studied bodybuilders training 1.5 hours per day, 6 days per week and still concluded 0.75g/lb is the highest intake at which body composition benefits could occur. And lastly, one study looked at cutting weightlifters and they still found 0.73g/lb was sufficient to maintain lean body mass. (2) Excess Protein Side Effects Kidney Disease When people eat too much protein, they take in more nitrogen than they need. This places a strain on the kidneys, which must expel the extra nitrogen through urine. People with kidney disease are encouraged to eat low-protein diets. Such a diet reduces the excess levels of nitrogen and can also help prevent kidney disease. Osteoporosis and Kidney Stones Diets that are rich in animal protein cause people to excrete more calcium than normal through their kidneys and increase the risk of osteoporosis. Countries with lower-protein diets have lower rates of osteoporosis and hip fractures. Increased calcium excretion increases risk for kidney stones. Researchers in England found that when people added about 5 ounces of fish (about 34 grams of protein) to a normal diet, the risk of forming urinary tract stones increased by as much as 250 percent (3) References 1) Positive Nitrogen Balance - BM. Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about the health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar. It contains Acetic Acid, the key ingredient at a pH of 2.5 The different parts of our body have different levels of pH. The Key is to know your blood pH level and adjust accordingly. How to CLEANSE Your KIDNEYS Instantly Using This NATURAL DRINK! KIDNEY CLEANSE & DETOX at Home Daily

12:56
How to Do KIDNEYS CLEANSE http://bit.ly/2BuprCk & DETOX Your KIDNEYS Naturally http://bit.ly/2CXAtjF - 6 Best Foods! Do you have kidney stones, skin problems, or recurring urinary tract infections? Do you have frequent bloating and chronic fatigue? You may want to start detoxing your kidneys. The longer toxins are left to build up in your kidneys, the more at risk you are for renal disease or renal failure. Most people are born with two kidneys — each about the size of a tennis ball. Healthy kidneys have millions of nephrons that filter out waste. This waste is then removed through the urine. Unhealthy kidneys lose the ability to efficiently filter out waste, and toxins start to build up in the blood. Excess waste in the body can cause nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, generalized weakness, change in taste, and itchy skin. Our kidneys are one of the hardest working organs of the body. Everyday our kidneys filter out about 200 quarts (30 gallons) of blood, while removing toxins and excess fluid. Kidneys also monitor blood pressure, make red blood cells, regulate calcium to build strong bones, and balance out our electrolyte levels. Before You Start a Detox Cleanse If you’ve made up your mind in doing a kidney cleanse, give your body that extra fighting chance by doing everything you possibly can in giving your body the upper hand. This includes eliminating all toxins, chemicals, GMOs, MSG, sugar, refined/processed food, dairy, caffeine, fried foods, and saturated fats from your diet. Also, stop smoking and drinking at least a week before and after your cleanse. Try to eliminate chemicals found in common household detergents and fabric sheets, cleaning products, shampoos, soaps, and air fresheners. Replace as many as you can with natural or DIY products. If you’re going to invest in a gym membership, make sure that they offers classes such as yoga or Pilates. These types of meditative exercises stimulate your circulation, lymphatic system, and digestive system. Kidney Cleansing Foods & Recipes Most kidney problems do not show symptoms early on. It is important to maintain healthy kidneys before they start showing signs of disease or failure. Symptoms of kidney disease include nausea, decreased appetite, swelling of the ankles and lower legs, generalized fatigue, itching and dry skin, foamy and bloody urine, bad taste in the mouth, and mental status changes. Your body is designed to naturally detox and remove excess uric acid from the body through the urine. But when the kidneys aren’t functioning properly, the excess toxins can build up in the blood. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables during your cleanse and stay away from animal meat and fats. Animal fats and protein contain a lot of uric acid. A study published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology shows that a lower protein diet is more beneficial to patients with chronic renal failure. Patients who are in end stage renal disease (ESRD) and on dialysis, are recommended to eat a normal protein diet because dialysis removes protein waste and essential amino acids from their blood. Foods that are high in uric acid are meat proteins (chick, red meat, fish), fats, yeast, and beer. Other foods to stay away from during a kidney detox are sugar, table salt, and caffeine. Foods that are beneficial to the kidneys are apple cider vinegar, berries, dandelion leaves, beets, garlic, dark green leafy vegetables, nuts & seeds, turmeric, and carrots. Ingredients for Kidney Cleanses Apple Cider Vinegar Berries Dandelion Leaves Beets Garlic Dark Green Leafy Vegetables Nuts & Seeds Turmeric Carrots 1. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Drink Apple cider vinegar is great for improving overall health, boosting the immune system, and detoxing the body. The citric, acetic, and phosphorus acid components in ACV helps to break down and prevent kidney stone formation. It is best to drink this mix in the morning, as soon as you wake up. Drink this drink 3 times a day, for 1-week. For maintenance purposes, continue drinking 1-2 times a day, everyday. 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar 8-1o ounces of pure filtered water 2 teaspoons of raw organic honey (add honey if the ACV taste is too strong for you) 2. Berry Smoothie. Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and cranberries are rich in vitamins, minerals, flavonoid antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Antioxidants rid the body of free radicals and slows the progression of kidney disease. Drink a berry smoothie once a day. 1 cup of mixed berries 1 organic, peeled, raw beet 1/2 cup of organic cranberry juice 1/2 cup of organic milk, greek yogurt, or kefir 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar 1 cup of dark green leafy vegetables

Hypocalcemia: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment ( Continue )

03:49
Hypocalcemia: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment Neonatal hypocalcemia Neonatal hypocalcemia occurs in infants soon after birth. Most cases of neonatal hypocalcemia occur within the first two days after birth. But late onset hypocalcemia can occur three days after birth, or later. Risk factors for infants include being small for their age and maternal diabetes. Late onset hypocalcemia is most often caused by drinking cow’s milk or formula with too much phosphate. Symptoms of neonatal hypocalcemia include: jitteriness poor feeding seizures apnea, or slowed breathing tachycardia, or a faster than normal heartbeat Diagnosis is made by testing an infant’s blood for the total calcium level or ionized calcium level. The infant’s glucose level will also be tested to rule out hypoglycemia. Treatment typically involves giving intravenous calcium gluconate followed by several days of oral calcium supplements. How’s hypocalcemia treated? Calcium deficiency is usually easy to treat. It typically involves adding more calcium to your diet. Do not self-treat by taking a lot of calcium supplements. Taking more than the recommended dose without your doctor’s approval can lead to serious issues like kidney stones. Commonly recommended calcium supplements include: calcium carbonate, which is the least expensive and has the most elemental calcium calcium citrate, which is the most easily absorbed calcium phosphate, which is also easily absorbed and doesn’t cause constipation Calcium supplements are available in liquid, tablet, and chewable forms. Shop for calcium supplements. It’s important to note that some medications could interact negatively with calcium supplements. These medications include: blood pressure beta-blockers like atenolol, which may decrease calcium absorption if taken within two hours of taking calcium supplements antacids containing aluminum, which may increase blood levels of aluminum cholesterol-lowering bile acid sequestrants such as colestipol, which may decrease calcium absorption and increase the loss of calcium in the urine estrogen medications, which can contribute to an increase in calcium blood levels digoxin, as high calcium levels can increase digoxin toxicity diuretics, which can either increase calcium levels (hydrochlorothiazide) or decrease calcium levels in the blood (furosemide) certain antibiotics such as fluoroquinolones and tetracyclines, whose absorption can be decreased by calcium supplements Sometimes diet changes and supplements aren’t enough to treat a calcium deficiency. In this case, your doctor may want to regulate your calcium levels by giving you regular calcium injections. You can expect to see results within the first few weeks of treatment. Severe cases of calcium deficiency disease will be monitored at one- to three-month intervals. What are the possible complications of hypocalcemia? Complications from calcium deficiency disease include eye damage, an abnormal heartbeat, and osteoporosis. Complications from osteoporosis include: disability spinal fractures or other bone fractures difficulty walking If left untreated, calcium deficiency disease could eventually be fatal. How can hypocalcemia be prevented? You can prevent calcium deficiency disease by including calcium in your diet every day. Be aware that foods high in calcium, such as dairy products, can also be high in saturated fat and trans fat. Choose low-fat or fat-free options to reduce your risk of developing high cholesterol and heart disease. While meeting your calcium requirement is very important, you also want to make sure you’re not getting too much. According to the Mayo Clinic, upper limits of calcium intake in milligrams (mg) for adults are: 2,000 mg per day for men and women 51 years of age and up 2,500 mg per day for men and women 19 to 50 years of age You might want to supplement your diet by taking a multivitamin. Or your doctor may recommend supplements if you’re at high risk for developing a calcium deficiency. Multivitamins may not contain all of the calcium you need, so be sure to eat a well-rounded diet. If you’re pregnant, take a prenatal vitamin. Vitamin D Vitamin D is important because it increases the rate calcium is absorbed into your blood. Ask your doctor how much vitamin D you need. To increase your calcium intake, you can add food rich in vitamin D to your diet. These include: fatty fish like salmon and tuna fortified orange juice fortified milk portobello mushrooms eggs As with calcium-rich dairy products, some vitamin D-rich dairy products can also be high in saturated fat. Sunlight triggers your body to make vitamin D, so getting regular exposure to the sun can also help boost your vitamin D levels.
I am getting up 3-4 times during the night to go to the bathroom

00:57
http://homefirst.com/ I am getting up 3-4 times during the night to go to the bathroom, is there any natural treatement? If you have a benign enlargement of the prostate or Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH), many men can be successfully treated with natural progesterone cream and a combination of vitamins, minerals and herbs. The following are some of the symptoms that have been associated with BPH: a weak urinary stream dribbling of urine the need to urinate frequently the need to urinate three to four times at night dysuria - painful urination incomplete emptying of bladder leading to cystitis discomfort during intercourse painful ejaculation impotence lowered sex drive Somewhere between the ages of 30 and 40 a mans prostate begins to enlarge. The growth of the prostate is known as Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). BPH will affect nearly all men as they age. What is generally not known is the fact that there are safe, natural and effective ways of dealing with BPH. By age 50 more than 50% of men will have prostate surgery, radiation treatment, or will be on prescription drugs like Proscar (finasteride). Finasteride has been shown to cause impotence (in more than 60% of patients), decreased libido, decreased amount of semen per ejaculation, breast tenderness, breast enlargement, lip swelling and skin rashes. Scientific studies have shown that many of the symptoms of BPH may be alleviated by a combination of a natural progesterone cream applied twice a day, along with herbal vitamin and mineral pills which include some or all of the following: Saw Palmetto Berry (Serenoa Repens), Pygeum Africanum, American Ginseng (Panax Quinquefolius), Bearberry Extract (Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi), Pumpkin Seed Oil, Vitamin C, Zinc, Lycopene, Vitamin B6, Magnesium, Stinging Nettle Leaves, Cernilton Flower Pollen, Flaxseed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Vitamin E, Copper, Amino Acids, Multi-vitamins and Minerals. Mens Hormones Progesterone and estrodiol (an estrogen) are two hormones naturally produced by the male body, but in smaller amounts than women and are vital to good health. Progesterone is the primary precursor of our adrenal cortical hormones and testosterone. It also has the effect of balancing out the effects of estrodiol. Uninhibited estrodiol (estrodiol without progesterone) has been implicated in prostate growth leading to BPH. As men age, their progesterone levels fall, causing their uninhibited estrodiol levels to rise. It has been theorized that one of the causes of BPH may be inadequate amounts of progesterone synthesis needed to counteract the effect of estrodiol. Men also have elevated estrogen levels because of unavoidable environmental and food sources which contain high levels of estrogen like compounds. Xeno-estrogens [also known as pseudo-estrogens] are synthetic chemicals such as pesticides, plastic products, solvents, adhesives, car exhaust, industrial waste (i.e. PCBs and dioxins), meat from livestock fed estrogenic drugs to fatten them up. These xeno-estrogens exert estrogen like influences on all living creatures, male and female, by disrupting the reproductive abilities and hormonal balance. Several dietary contaminants, industrial chemicals and insecticides also act like estrogens. Since uninhibited estrogen is one of the causes of enlargement of the prostate and symptoms of BPH, the role of progesterone is to balance this uninhibited estrogen effect. In fact, progesterone may be the only remedy needed to reverse benign prostatic enlargement. Men may also need progesterone to reverse the feminizing effects of too much estrogen. Jed Fahey, Sc.D. on Isothiocyanates, the Nrf2 Pathway, Moringa & Sulforaphane Supplementation

Dr. Jed W. Fahey is a nutritional biochemist with broad training and extensive background in plant physiology, human nutrition, phytochemistry and nutritional biochemistry. He is the director of the Cullman Chemoprotection Center at Johns Hopkins. The reason I've asked him to join us today, in particular, however, is because he has been researching isothiocyanates like sulforaphane for over 20 years and is an exceptional expert in this arena. Dr. Fahey and his colleagues have been, in a big way, at the absolute center of what is a staggering amount of research on these very powerful compounds. There is hardly a topic which we can discuss in which he doesn't have an anecdote about a study he was involved in, or, in some cases, tribal knowledge that may not even be published but is nonetheless interesting and an important part of the story that is unique to his particular vantage point. ▶︎ If you have not seen my previous, extremely in-depth video on sulforaphane, a very important isothiocyanate, please do so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz4YVJ4aRfg -- Find out more about Dr. Fahey and the Cullman Chemoprotection Center: ▶︎ The Cullman Chemoprotection Center Website: http://www.chemoprotectioncenter.org/ ▶︎ The Cullman Chemoprotection Center Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/chemoprotectioncenter/ ▶︎ Dr. Fahey's Website: http://www.jedfahey.com/ ▶︎ Dr. Fahey on Twitter: http://twitter.com/jedosan --- Follow FoundMyFitness elsewhere: ▶︎ iTunes Podcast: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/foundmyfitness/id818198322 ▶︎ Twitter: http://twitter.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Email newsletter: http://www.foundmyfitness.com/?sendme=lifestyle-heuristic

Start Young Think of your bones as a retirement savings account; you need to bank a lot of funds when you're young so that you have plenty to draw on as you get older. Bones reach peak density when you're in your 20s. From then on, your job is to keep those levels up by getting enough calcium and vitamin D, exercising, and taking other steps. Know Your T-Score Osteoporosis is often called a silent disease because you won’t display obvious, outward symptoms until a bone breaks — obviously not a sign you want to wait for. A bone mineral density (BMD) test can tell you how strong your bones are. The results of this test are given as a number called a T-score. Your doctor can combine your T-score with other risk factors like your age and gender to determine your actual risk of breaking a bone in the next 10 years. Milk It Milk is full of calcium (the foundation of healthy bones) and vitamin D (helps the body absorb calcium). Additionally, vitamin D helps build and repair bones and keeps muscles strong, which reduces the risk of falls. Women age 50 and younger and men age 70 and younger should aim for 1,000 mg of calcium per day. Older men and women should aim for 1,200 mg of calcium a day. This is the equivalent of about four glasses of nonfat milk or three cups of nonfat yogurt. Men and women under the age of 50 should aim to consume 400-800 IU of vitamin D per day. People over the age of 50 should aim for 1,000 IU of vitamin D daily. Don't Smoke, Limit Drinking Smoking increases the rate of bone loss. Women who smoke have lower levels of estrogen and tend to hit menopause at a younger age, both of which accelerate bone loss. If you drink, keep it to no more than two drinks a day for men and one drink a day for women. Anything more will interfere with your body's ability to absorb calcium and will also slow new bone formation. Meat in Moderation The popular saying “all things in moderation” definitely applies to meat, especially when it comes to healthy bones. Calcium and phosphorous help the body digest animal protein. Eating too much red meat, fish, pork, and poultry can sap these resources from the bone. On the other hand, protein deficiency hinders calcium absorption in the intestines. The solution? Limit your animal protein intake to no more than twice a day, and eat small portions—about 3 ounces, or the size of a deck of cards. Ask Mom & Dad Genetic traits determine a lot of factors that affect your overall bone health, including your bone size, bone mass, when you'll go through menopause, and how well your body uses calcium and vitamin D. These traits are passed down from father to son and mother to daughter. By knowing your family history, you can take appropriate steps to intervene, including earlier screening for osteoporosis and use of appropriate medications. Cut Back on Sodium Too much sodium causes calcium to leach out of your bones and then be expelled through the urine, according to the Cleveland Clinic. To keep more calcium in your bones (and less in the toilet bowl), follow a low-sodium diet by cutting down on processed foods and keeping the saltshaker off the table. Stay Active Weight bearing exercises — activities that force you to work against gravity — strengthen bone by stimulating bone-building cells called osteoblasts. High-impact exercises like running, tennis, basketball, and kickboxing strengthen bones the fastest. Exercise regimens that are even more moderate do the trick too. Try brisk walking or simple vertical jumps instead, if high-impact moves aren't safe for you. ...

8 Ways to Prevent Yeast Infection | How to Prevent Yeast Infection

http://vidasanacom.com/Yeastinfection 8 Ways to Prevent Yeast Infection | How to Prevent Yeast Infection 1. Consume More Probiotics Ah, so many health issues seem to come back to those magical, life-changing probiotics. According to many folks, they're a remarkable way to ward off yeast infections. For example, yogurt contains Lactobacillus acidophilus, a type of bacteria that is your friend and wants you to have a happy vagina; it's known to maintain a healthy pH balance in your vag and encourage the growth of other friendly bacteria. 2. Switch To A Birth Control That Doesn't Contain Estrogen Extra estrogen in the body often leads to the production of more yeast. Laurie Cullen, ND, a naturopathic physician and professor at Bastyr University, told Prevention that it's worthwhile for yeast infection-prone women to consider birth control options out there that don't contain estrogen, such as the IUD or progesterone-only pills. This will significantly reduce the risk of the Candida albicans exponentially growing into an infection. Of course, you should speak with your OBGYN before you just decide to make the switch on your own — they'll have more specific insight into the unique functionings of your body. 3. Wear Cotton Underwear You want to keep your lady parts as dry as possible, free from warmth and moisture, because yeast thrives in humid environments. One way to do this is to stick to underwear made from natural fabrics, such as cotton and silk; they absorb dampness, leaving your vagina as healthily dry as possible. Synthetic stuff like nylon and blended materials cling to your body too closely, making you a prime target for infection. 4. Stay Away From Scented Feminine Hygiene Products And Soaps All the artificial chemicals that are put into scented feminine hygiene products don't belong in your lovely vag. Perfumes and dyes irritate the inside of your vagina and increase the risk of a yeast infection. And the same goes for scented soaps and anything else that comes in contact with your goods. So train your vagina to say no to scented bubble baths, fruity body wash and colored or printed toilet paper. 5. Clean Your Vagina Often Don't do anything too rough to clean yourself, like douching, as that will cause irritation and might wreck the normal balances in your vagina 6. Consider Natural Remedies Mother Earth has always got your back. She's left you with all kinds of at-home remedies you can experiment with to prevent — and in some cases, even treat — yeast infections, and you don't need a prescription or a pharmacy to get started. Pick up some organic, cold-pressed coconut oil, which has anti-fungal properties that kill the yucky fungi that lead to infections; externally apply it a few times a day to your vulva, like a lotion. 7. Sleep More Your immune system plays an important role in keeping yeast infections away, and if you're not catching enough Zzz's every night, your body won't be able to properly function 8. Eat A Healthy Diet OK, so you already know how important it is to add some probiotics to your diet. Now it's time to think about everything else you put into your belly. Yeast thrives off of sugar, especially processed and simple sugars, as well as grains and other glutinous foods. There have been so many connections made between food choices and the growth of Candida albicans that there is now a fully comprehensive program to inhibit yeast growth called the Candida Diet, which women who struggle with yeast infections can easily follow. If you're interested in trying it, consult with your doctor to see if it would make sense for you. http://vidasanacom.com/Yeastinfection 8 Ways to Prevent Yeast Infection | How to Prevent Yeast Infection https://youtu.be/1rZ-Bo-uHNs

How will all the symptoms disappear as well as the polyp in the esophagus? What diet should he follow and which of your herbs and formulations do you suggest? Some other problems that he has is the inguinal hernia. On one of your videos you said that can  be replicated the gut tissue. Can you please tell us how can this will be happen? Also,he has many muscle pains in the body in general but especially in the back, the spine/backbone and in the neck. What can we do about it? We watch you long time through your amazing videos on YouTube. You have incredible knowledge and we identify with you! You do a great job for humanity, helping both the health of body and mind and we are grateful for that! Your help is precious and important and we look forward to your response. 34:55 – Stuart - Hi Dr Morse, my wife was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was directed to take 3 medications, one for the thyroid, one for her abnormally high heart rate and one for her upset stomach. All three of these medications are unfit to take while breastfeeding. I am of the opinion that this is the lymph system backing up and that a nice long fruit fast or juice fast would immediately improve her condition but I am trying to also respect her right to chose whatever avenue of "treatment" that she feels most comfortable with. So I have two questions. 1. What can she do naturally without the use of pharmaceuticals to treat and cure this condition? 2. I have been making a substitute formula using 1 young coconut 1cup water 4 dates and 1tsp Hawaiian spirulina and 1tsp wheat grass juice run through a slow press juicer, is this adequate? Or what else can I do? Thank you so much brother and god bless 49:03 – Randy - Thank you for all the things that you do and the hard work you and your team put in to do so. You are all a true blessing. I was wondering if you could do a little history summary video about your friendship/relationship with Dr. Jensen? Not so much on the iridology side but things that you’ve learned from him and each other over the years. The evolution in your thought about human health regarding Dr. Jensen’s theories and studies. Or more bluntly, what did Dr. Jensen get right about human health and where did he or the both of you miss the mark?

My Mom has had her gallbladder removed years ago because of stones I didn't know you that time or I would have protested. She is overweight, aches a lot muscles, has skin rashes and often what she calls "reactions" itching and skin red eruptions. She says she has burps that come from the thyroid through her mouth, and not from her stomach area, and this since long before removing her gallbladder. Her left leg is getting swollen fat from bottom to top and it's starting to be visible at her ankle. Her movements are difficult. She says it's genetic from her parents and that she thinks it's related to the heart. She thankfully still has her tonsil and says they have always been uncomfortable, painful sometimes and that she has always had problems in her throat and mouth since very young. Her nose is dried and there is blood sometimes dehydration? and her ears are aching and constantly needs to be cleaned. At moments she feels pain from her left jaw to her inner ear. She also thinks her liver is swollen and/or bigger and feels she needs to address all this. One of her kidneys is prolapsed and she says this is from long time ago. It seems that kidneys flips 180 degrees, if I understood correctly… She has good genes - I know this because you told me I had good genes after reading my eyes She used to smoke but stopped a long time ago. Can you guide me on how to help her? http://letsgothin.com/hormones 904-694-0992 For a no-cost bioidentical hormone evaluation. In Jacksonville Florida, Dr. Anthony Capasso, expert at The Thin Centers MD Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy program can also help to improve numerous different symptoms, which may include thinning hair, wrinkling skin, hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, insomnia, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, and porous bones. Hormones, chemicals produces with the body, are responsible for development and growth from the time we are born through puberty and the remainder of the aging process. Hormones control the chemical balance that triggers our nervous and immune systems, metabolism, reproduction, and other bodily functions. Regular hormone levels fluctuate and decline as we age. This progression can affect both men and women physically and mentally depending on the individual. Because hormones control a wide variety of functions in the body, imbalances can lead to less than optimal states of health. Bioidentical hormones are unique in that they are exact copies of the body’s own hormones, and the body cannot tell the difference between the bioidentical hormones and its own endogenous hormones. For this reason, the body can easily use the bioidentical hormones to make up for an inadequate amount of available hormones in the body. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Process In 1930, doctors developed hormone replacement supplements to alleviate the symptoms of menopause. “Bioidentical” was the very first supplement. Essentially, the molecular structure of the supplement is identical to the patients’ own molecular structures. The treatment originally addressed symptoms including weight gain, hot flashes, night sweats, and so on. Over a decade later, doctors developed synthetic hormone supplements. The widely distributed synthetic hormones of the time were not identical to the patients’ molecular structures, in contrast to bioidentical. Synthetic hormones were derived from other animals, specifically from pregnant horse urine. This hormone replacement often caused side effects including nausea, dizziness, and fluid retention. Pharmaceutical companies, such as Upjohn, have been producing bioidentical hormones for over 70 years. Bioidentical hormones are plant-derived supplements, which are usually comprised of soy and yam. Once the bioidentical powders have been manufactured, “compounding” pharmacies create topical creams according doctors’ prescription. Creams are preferred because when bioidentical hormones are taken orally they go straight to the liver, which converts them into a different hormone. Therefore the preferred method of delivery for bioidentical hormones is in the form of creams or gels or sub-cutaneous suppositories, which are absorbed directly from the skin into the bloodstream. There are many benefits and advantages to using bioidentical hormones. A key element in effective hormone replacement treatment is using the proper dosage (based on the patient’s needs). The window for the right hormone balance is narrow and varies from person to person. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy takes into account this delicate process to achieve the best possible results. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy benefits include: Weight loss Increased sex drive Hair and nail improvement Lower cholesterol Emotional balance improvement More stable mental health Increased memory ability Decreased osteoporosis risk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estrogen#Binge_eating Binge eating Research suggests that estrogen may play a role in suppressing binge eating. Hormone replacement therapy using estrogen may be a possible treatment for binge eating behaviors in females. Estrogen replacement has been shown to suppress binge eating behaviors in female mice. The mechanism by which estrogen replacement inhibits binge-like eating involves the replacement of serotonin (5-HT) neurons. Women exhibiting binge eating behaviors are found to have increased brain uptake of neuron 5-HT, and therefore less of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the cerebrospinal fluid. Data has shown that estrogen works to activate 5-HT neurons, leading to suppression of binge like eating behaviors. At the Thin Centers MD clinic in Jacksonville Fl., Dr. Anthony Capasso, Hormone Replacement Expert, and trained in administering bioidentical hormones can work with you to relieve hormone imbalance. Providing biochemical hormones that match your molecular structure exactly will allow you to feel like you did in your younger years. If you want to live your life to its fullest, you now have the chance to do so. 17 Impressive Benefits Of Asparagus

13:53
17 Impressive Benefits of Asparagus The health benefits of asparagus include fertility, relief from pre-menstrual syndrome, cancer, diabetes, hangover, cataract, rheumatism, tuberculosis, depression, neurodegenerative diseases, and convulsions. It also reduces urinary tract infections and blood cholesterol. It improves digestive health, is beneficial during pregnancy, helps in lowering levels of homocysteine in the body, and maintains cardiovascular health. Asparagus belongs to the family of lilies and is valued for its therapeutic properties. It is derived from a Greek word meaning ‘sprout’ and about 300 different species exist all over the world. The medicinal effect of an asparagus plant extends from its root to shoot and its usage has been tested and proven in scientific as well as indigenous systems of medicine like siddha, Ayurveda and unani. Asparagus is normally available in white, green and purple colors. White asparagus is grown away from the sunlight and hence is deficient of the green pigment, chlorophyll. Purple asparagus is loaded with phtyochemicals and anthocyanins which provide the unique color to the vegetable. Nutritional Value of Asparagus Asparagus is a nutrient-packed source of vitamins, minerals and essential proteins. Asparagus is rich in vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B6, folate, vitamin C, vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), and vitamin K (phylloquinone). The mineral treasures that are stored in asparagus include iron, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, manganese, zinc, selenium, and potassium. Asparagus contains a very low amount of calories with no cholesterol and is low in sodium as well. Along with this, it is also a rich source of dietary fiber, which is essential for the body. Health Benefits of Asparagus The various health benefits of asparagus have been detailed below. Homocysteine: An abundance of vitamin B in asparagus helps in maintaining healthy levels of homocysteine, which is produced in the blood when an amino acid (methionine) breaks down in the body. Vitamin B, especially folate, B6 and B12 are essential for converting homocysteine into cysteine, which then gets converted back to methionine as per the normal methylation cycle. Deficiency of vitamin B in the body can elevate the levels of homocysteine in the blood. Raised levels of homocysteine can pose a threat of serious ailments like the damage of blood vessels, venous thrombosis in which clotting of blood happens in the veins, and atherosclerosis, which can all further lead to cardiac disorders. In addition to this, vitamin B is also responsible for the metabolism of starches and sugars in the body and therefore helps in maintaining healthy levels of blood sugar. Pregnancy: The high folate content in asparagus aids in reducing the danger of low birth weight and birth defects during pregnancy. Folate is essential for the neuronal growth of the fetus. It also helps in reducing the complication of edema or retention of water in the body tissues owing to its diuretic effect. PMS: An asparagus extract can be used effectively for easing pre-menstrual bloating. The presence of essential nutrients helps to combat depression and fatigue, as well as reduce menstrual cramps. Asparagus also helps in controlling blood loss and maintaining hormonal balance during menstruation. Fertility: The root of asparagus racemosus is widely appreciated in Ayurvedic therapy and is famously known as shatavari, which means ‘one who has 100 husbands’. Shatavari has aphrodisiac properties and is used to regulate the hormones and cure male and female sexual disorders. It has anti-anxiety properties and helps in curing physical and mental debility in males. It also helps in enhancing the libido and boosts sperm count and its motility. In females, asparagus has been proven to be effective in menopausal syndrome and anemia. Shatavari has been trusted as a galactogogue and is also valued for its effectiveness in improving the quality and quantity of the breast milk, while boosting the appetite of nursing women. Research studies conducted on animals have demonstrated positive effects on the genitals and the mammary glands of the subject females who consumed adequate amounts of asparagus. Digestive Health: Asparagus contains significant quantities of the nutrient inulin. Inulin is a kind of complex carbohydrate that is commonly known as prebiotic. It does not get digested until it reaches the large intestine, where it is fed upon by a kind of good bacteria like Lactobacilli. This aids in the improved absorption of nutrients and the reduced risk of stomach cancer and allergies. Asparagus is also a good provider of dietary fiber and has laxative properties that help in the smooth functioning of the bowels, keeping bloating and constipation at bay. Along with healthy digestion, fiber also helps in lowering the cholesterol levels of the body.

Drink Water On The Raw Food Diet?

08:43
Here are some more healthy weight loss life style tips Sleep, water, sugar sufficiency must be the daily focus. Sun + sport must be the weekly focus. Making the world a better place for humanity, the animals and the environment must be the life focus. One MUST get consistent early nights to ensure success on a healthy weight loss lifestyle. More early nights means a healthier and faster metabolism + you will have greater nerve energy for the next day as your organs get the rest they need to function healthfully. High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. Ive NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat. Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat cos someone doesnt move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.Weight loss transformation WILL happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc. Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Do at LEAST 3 hours of light sweat inducing sport each week. Cycling, running, boxing, fast walking, wheel chairing etc. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :) AND eat enough carb calories so that the active adventure filled lifestyle is EASY to maintain!! So many people make the mistake of not eating enough carb calories DAILY!! Thats like wanting to be a big spender on 5$ a day! CHOW DOWN THE CARB CALORIES REGARDLESS OF YOUR WEIGHT!! My recommendations for anyone wanting to get fit + stay fit + gain muscle + burn fat is 10g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per day MINIMUM (even on days off) and 1g of carbs per kg of bodyweight per hour when you're out training. I personally drink enough water so Im pizz'n at least 10 times a day CLEAR and a few times a night. If my urine is yellow or straw, I just knock back a quart and Im good to go. Keep your salt intake low. Healthy whole food plant foods contain all the sodium we need without creating the excess weight gain from sodium retention that added salt can bring. Raw food diet vegan high carb low fat style based on fruit keeps you slim naturally. Blog http://www.durianrider.org
