Pancreatic Cancer Diary, Part 1

23:57
My cousin, Dario Darias, was a husband, father, brother, U.S. Navy Corpsman (assigned to Marine Corps), U.S. Army Medic, Coast Guard Auxiliary member, volunteer firefighter, a Mason and he loved to ride his 2009 Yamaha XV1. On July 3, 2015 he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. The next day he asked me to record this video diary. I thought this was going to be a long-term project focusing on a 49-year-old man fighting a disease. I was wrong.

RSO Video Diary 40 Cancer Patient Takes Cannabis to Cure Cancer

01:49
Welcome to my RSO Video Vlog Webisode 40 My name is Nicola Dickens and I am a 4 x cancer patient. I have given up on conventional treatments and now I’m happy, I feel better, I have more energy, and I have a life again. In this journey I’m asking all of you to share, comment, subscribe, and help me, help other patients that need help. Cancer is a hard journey for anyone let alone 4 different journeys for the same person, and up until about 3 years ago or so I thought it was going to be a much shorter journey. This is dose number 40 and I have taken 76.5 grams of RSO to date. I was diagnosed with terminal bladder cancer. When the Doctors said I was going to die all I thought was “Wanna Bet” and now I’m going to prove them wrong. This video diary is to help any other patient that needs relief from the pain, nausea, depression, and anxiety please share. As my days are getting back to normal and I’m getting more energy I will be adding an exercise program to help build strength. I first want to thank all of you, you have made this journey truly special.  I talked to my caregiver and consultant over the past week and we have decided to continue the RSO a little while longer, I have been feeling so much better and I'm afraid to end the RSO all at once and the pain coming back.  Extending the RSO won't hurt me and I won't be taking the same 4 grams a day I will be backing it down to a maintenance dose of a gram a day.  Reducing the RSO from 4 grams a day to 1 gram will still help control my pain and other side effects throughout the day without turning to BIG Pharma for pain medications.  My wish for today is to show another patient they can feel the way I do and everything would be worth it.  Share this today to help bring another cancer patients journey to cannabis and watch the light come back into their eyes.     Depression in patients with chronic illnesses become overpowering to the patient, they are so worn down from the treatments that it’s hard sometimes impossible to see past the pain.  Pain can be physical, mental, or emotional all of which are equally debilitating, please remember what a person looks like on the outside isn’t always a good representation of how they actually feel on the inside.  Patients that are chronically have become skilled at hiding their pain on the outside. Kat's Video Diary: Cancer Diagnosis

04:04
My first video diary after finding out I have Hodgkin Lymphoma. I'll be posting more during my treatment. Weds 20th July, 2011 Ps. I am now in remission! :) Please do not leave advertisements for treatments. I am happy with the traditional and free treatment I received from the NHS. I am constantly amazed by the dedication and intelligance of the people who have contributed to these life saving drugs, including the wonderful organisation that is Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. I am grateful to those who have prayed for me whilst not trying to convert me. These thoughts and prayers are what helped make me on the road to recovery. Comments by those who tell me believe something I don't however are not appreciated. Many thanks.

Victoria Derbyshire’s breast cancer video diary: The mastectomy - BBC News

11:22
Victoria Derbyshire has been keeping a video diary following her treatment for breast cancer. She had a mastectomy on the 24th September and wanted to record her thoughts after surgery to try to help de-mystify some of the treatment for breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK - 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with it. Everyone's experience of a cancer diagnosis is different - for Victoria her approach - and progress so far - has been really positive and pragmatic. She's being treated at Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Surrey. We consulted both Breast Cancer Care and MacMillan about the video. As my days are getting back to normal and I’m getting more energy I will be adding an exercise program to help build strength. Today was a good day, I woke up fully rested and this is crazy I didn't have to take my morning muscle relaxer, yes, this was worth repeating, I was able to skip this mornings muscle relaxer. Because of cancer and the treatments I have to take a non-narcotic muscle relaxer just to walk and move, otherwise my muscles knot and tighten so tight I can't walk.  I have had to take these pills for the last ten years without missing a dose and I'm ok right now, it's amazing!! If I could relay to one patient that is going through what I have been through how good I'm starting to feel they would see the light returning to my eyes and they would see CANNABIS SAVES!!  Thank you, Cannabis Thank you! This video diary is to help any other patient that needs relief from the pain, nausea, depression, and anxiety please share. As my days are getting back to normal and I’m getting more energy I will be adding an exercise program to help build strength. I'm almost at 70 grams of Rick Simpson Oil and I wanted to announce today that the beginning of January 2018 I will start the cancer screen again with PET scan.  I am excited and scared at the same time, I have so many questions, so many unknowns.  I've always heard the phrase "The Truth Hurts" and in my experience, I know it all too well and now I'm starting to freak out.  I still have 3 months to wait for these tests and I have to balance my stress and my health because they are very closely related now.  I still have about 30 grams of RSO to finish and I will have that done before January then the testing will begin.  I will publish the test results here on freemycure.org for everyone following.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me either through the website or ctc420pro@gmail.com.  Through cancer and cannabis, together, we can find our sence of humor again! Pancreatic Cancer Diary, Part 2

23:03
My cousin, Dario Darias, was a husband, father, brother, U.S. Navy Corpsman (assigned to Marine Corps), U.S. Army Medic, volunteer firefighter, Coast Guard Auxiliary member, a Mason and he loved to ride his 2009 Yamaha XV1. On July 3, 2015 he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. The next day he asked me to record this video diary. I thought this was going to be a long-term project focusing on a 49-year-old man fighting a disease. I was wrong.

Cancer Diary #39: Radiation Anticipation

09:37
More of my story here: http://babiesornot.blogspot.com - Jim and I went to see a radiation oncologist to discuss the next phase of my breast cancer treatment. In this video, we discuss the appointment, the doctor, and all that radiation entails. At one point here I mention that radiation improves the rate of local recurrence but I realize you may not know what that means. "Local recurrence" refers to having the same cancer come back in approximately the same area that it was found originally. Younger women tend to have more aggressive breast cancers, and local recurrences can quickly lead to metastatic disease (aka spread to bones, liver, lungs, or other organs) so anything I can do to reduce this risk deserves serious consideration. On the other hand, radiation comes with a set of serious risks which I must weigh in as I think this through. I don't go into great detail about all this in this video, though I write about it on my blog (see link above), Instead, in this video, I'm dealing with the emotional aftermath.

My Cancer Diary

01:52:56
In December 2013, I was diagnosed with Medullary Thyroid Cancer. At only the age of 33, it came as a shock but I prepared myself as best I can for the months ahead. As I was understanding more about the disease and the type of treatment I was going to have, I looked online to see how other people have dealt with their fight. I was surprised to not see many videos which captures every step of the journey, and the emotions along the way. Being a positive person, I knew I was going to beat this, and wanted to share the experience along the way. The intention was not only to have something to look back on, but also to be able to provide an insight to people who were about to embark on a similar journey. There are two things that stood out through my fight. The first being how scared people were to say the 'C' word! I even found myself at times not saying it out loud to not make others feel uncomfortable. The other thing was the power of a positive mind. I broke my journey down into small steps, and tackled each one with a positive approach. My biggest result of this approach was only having to stay in hospital for 5 days as opposed to the expected 3 weeks, and of course, to this date I am still beating this horrible disease! Happy for anyone to get in touch if you have any questions about my journey. Cancer is a horrible disease, but please dont be scared of it, it is being beaten by many many people every day!
