Nike Marketing Strategy: How Nike Branding Flatters Athlete Egos

06:01
http://602communications.com/ Dig deep inside Nike branding campaigns and you'll discover a very simple archetype story. By repeating this one story over and over, Nike marketing strategy delivers a powerful shot of customer self-esteem. In this speech from the IMark marketing conference in Iceland, emotional marketing speaker Graeme Newell reveals the five-step formula that keeps Nike branding at the top of the list of the world's most powerful marketers. I love Nike. I love Nike advertising, Nike ads, Nike commercials, Nike marketing strategy, Nike branding, and Nike brand strategy. I love all of it, and I love it a lot. What's more, I'm not alone. Nike ads have built the Nike brand into a juggernaut that appeals to almost every single man, woman, and child on this planet. Nike Advertising Power Why does Nike branding work so well? Nike advertising is full of excitement and everything that makes a good sporting-goods ad, but Nike ads are nearly unique in how good they are. So what is the deal with Nike marketing strategy that makes them so great? It's the message that is contained in Nike commercials and every piece of Nike branding that goes out. Nike advertising revolves around a single, universal emotion that is felt the same by nearly everyone on the planet. The idea of struggle and determination is what gives Nike commercials their fire. And every piece of Nike branding revolves around this thing How Nike Ads Capitalize on Archetypes If it told you that Nike marketing strategy is thousands of years old, you probably wouldn't believe me. However, Nike branding, like their name (originating from the Greek Goddess of Victory Nike) is as old as the Greek Civilization. Great works like the Iliad and the Odyssey revolve around the archetype of the hero. The hero is someone who faces a great foe, one who is seemingly insurmountable, and through dedication and perseverance, prevails. Nike brand strategy truly does hail from the time of the ancient Greeks, and there's a reason it still works. This is because the feelings that Nike commercials evoke are feelings that all humans have. The heroes in Nike advertising are universal heroes, regardless of age, race, gender, or anything else. The Real Message of Nike Commercials Nike commercials show all sorts of ripped, young men and women pushing themselves to the limits against a foe, but what are Nike ads really portraying? They're portraying you and me. Nike brand strategy knows that everyone sees the hero in themselves. Nike branding understands that even though we aren't slaying dragons or rescuing princesses, just getting out of bed in the morning to go to the gym, to work, to school, or anything else, is as trial in and of itself, and Nike commercials are all over that. How Nike Brand Strategy Comes Out in Nike Commercials Nike branding relies on a five-step formula to really drive the Nike marketing strategy home in Nike commercials. Nike ads, with very few exceptions, follow this five step formula in one way or another. The five step formula in Nike advertising is how they show the various stages that the hero must go through in order to fulfil his quest. Nike branding simply channels the story of the hero, one that has been told for millennia, into Nike ads and watches the brand explode. The 5-Steps Nike Branding Uses in Nike Ads Nearly every piece of Nike advertising follows the 5-step formula of Nike branding. First, Nike ads show first to the challenge, in the zone, doubt and suffering, rededication, and finally, victory. Nike branding uses these five steps to universally appeal to men, women, and children all over the world, and to great effect. What Each Step in Nike Marketing Strategy Means Key to Nike ads are the five steps. Nike commercials tend to begin with someone being the first to the challenge, first to the plate, the first up. This is how Nike brand strategy demonstrates first to the challenge. Nike branding then shows the person in the zone, working hard at whatever it is they're doing, and then comes the doubt and suffering. It's at this point in Nike ads that we are unsure if the main character is going to make it through, but then Nike marketing strategy kicks back in with rededication. The character rededicates herself to the goal, and attains victory. So to recap: -Nike advertising is a powerhouse because it taps the deepest emotions we feel as a species -One of these emotions is that of the hero, an archetype that human beings all over the world can all feel -Nike commercials do this by using a 5-step formula that shows the hero overcoming great struggles. http://602communications.com/

My Best Marketing Strategies for [2018] | Creative Growth Plans for Business

04:53
Want to know my marketing strategy for 2018? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog 2018 is going to be an exciting year. The analysis on how much money we're spending to generate the traffic and here's what's crazy, most people don't realize this, we generate, let's say a million visitors a month on Neil Patel. Do you know what the cost to get there is with video, production, podcasting, blogging, promotion, ads, link building? $110,000 a month. That's what it averaged out to for 2017. Here are my marketing strategies for 2018. I just bought a blog in the marketing space for a half a million bucks. They get a million visitors a month, and it's cheaper to spend money acquiring people who already have the traffic. So in 2017, I bought Uber Suggest, I think it was around 140 grand. They had very little traffic. I 381 redirected the site, traffic increased and guess what happened? Nothing. I hoped that my traffic would go through the roof, but nothing happened. Uber Suggest was a good acquisition and what I ended up learning from that is, who cares about links? Don't buy anything for the links. Buy it purely based off of traffic and just pay a simple metric. If Uber Suggest has roughly 200,000 visitors per month, I paid a hundred and something; I would have paid 200 grand, the money didn't matter. For a blog that I just spent half a million on, their traffic ranges. On a horrible month, they'll get around 800,000 uniques. In a perfect month, they'll get around, like, 1.2, 1.3 million uniques, and all I'm doing right now is buying as many blogs as possible. My marketing strategy for 2018 is to buy blogs based on of traffic. I look at the top posts that they have and how qualified their visitors are and determine if I can successfully monetize their content. I don't even care if they have revenue. If they don't have revenue, even better. The problem with Search Engine Journal is that they have conferences, they have advertising, and they have contracts for all of it. I don't care for any of that. I just want the traffic. So when you buy all these people for traffic and then you put it into your monetization flow, you can quickly figure out, what is this worth? If I can't make my money back in less than 12 months, I will not buy it. The other marketing strategy that I use when I'm buying these sites is to look for blogs that aren't monetized well. The blog that I ended up buying for half a million bucks, they're not even making three grand a month. If you're not even making three grand a month, that's a good deal, right? They're like; you're going to give me half a million dollars for this? No problem. Another creative marketing strategy I'm doing right now, is trying to buy a really popular marketing tool. I don't want to pay them all the money they're asking for because they want well into the millions, and it isn't worth it. But, I'm trying to work out a deal where I give them X amount of money up front, let's say a million dollars, and then give them a hundred thousand a month over X amount of months or a hundred thousand a year over X amount of years. When I see inefficiencies in sites, I figure I can purchase them and double the revenue because they aren't optimized for traffic or conversions. So buy it for what it's worth, optimize it, and then use the profits to pay them out continually. That way you're not using all of your money and the business is paying, you may have spent a bit more money, but personally, you don't have to spend as much money, and that's my marketing strategy for 2018. My goal is to spend at least $5 million acquiring businesses purely based on their traffic. If you need help or have questions about online or digital marketing or of you're a small business looking for help, leave a comment or question below and I'll personally answer and help you in any way I can!

Nike Marketing Strategy 2014 | Successful Marketing #1

03:00
Having just completed a case study assignment, I thought I would try out my digital skills and put my essay into video. I have followed Nike since I can remember, having seen posters in magazines, players on TV and football boot releases each season. Where Nike succeed so well is in their execution of clear, precise marketing material, from their logo to their above the line media promotion. The underlying theme of their strategy is to portray their consumer's as elite athletes, where you can always strive to maximise performance through the use of their products. Nike's brand strategy is to create a powerful brand, which creates brand loyalty worldwide across all sporting products. They lead the way in terms of innovative technology, brand identity and athlete endorsements. Recent marketing campaigns include the 'The Chance' which was a social media campaign aimed at aspiring athletes competing for a place in 'The Nike Academy'. Heavy investment each year in promoting football goods has seen campaigns such as 'My Time is Now' and 'Take it to the Next Level'. My favourite campaign from Nike is the 2012 'Find Your Greatness' promotional campaign which was closely linked with the 2012 London Olympics. Legislation only permits a select few from using the Olympic Ring branding within their marketing material in the build up the Olympics, however Nike succeeded in tapping into the world wide sporting emotions of the public. Not once is the Olympics mentioned however Nike was second only being Mars (an official sponsor of the Olympic Games) in twitter mentions associated with the Olympics. Nike are the front runner in producing clear, market leading designs, and with an implemented attitude into breaking new boundaries with revolutionary marketing strategies it is because of this that I see Nike as a pioneer of successful marketing.

Event marketing ideas & tips: how to effectively promote an event to get strong attendance

12:55
For more effective event marketing strategies, take my event marketing course: https://www.udemy.com/event-marketing-how-to-create-a-successful-event-series/?couponCode=ten_youtube Or read my popular event management and marketing book: https://www.amazon.com/Event-Planning-Management-Successful-successful/dp/1519178204 For more effective event marketing ideas, tips, strategies, and general business help, try our business apps: http://www.problemio.com This tutorial is all about event marketing tips, ideas, strategies for how to effectively promote events. I explain everything you need to know about event promotion and how you can promote your events to get strong attendance. In this video I give a real-world example of how to built an event series. I know about event marketing first hand because I built an event series from zero attendance to overwhelming attendance where I had to turn people down. I came up with all the event marketing strategies on my own, and on zero marketing budget. I will explain how to promote your event to get great attendance by doing event marketing on a local level by getting local PR (press), blogs, social media, and much more. I will even explain how I got to promote my events and get press from local newspapers, and event big sites and publications. My event series was even mentioned on NPR radio. The event I was trying to promote was group hikes. And I was trying to promote those events as a part of my marketing for my website that I was trying to build at that time which was http://www.comehike.com - now it is a bit of a dead site, but when I was doing event marketing for it, this site had lots of traffic and was earning reasonable money. At first, my event marketing techniques didn't work, but then I slowly figured out how to promote events and as I became more savvy, the event grew. Here is what I did for my event marketing. First, my event marketing had to be centered around a great title or headline for the event. So as you come up with event ideas, think of great potential headlines with which to promote your event. Without a great and catchy event title, it will be very difficult to do your event marketing very effectively because the headline is the first thing that people see. And if the headline doesn't get people excited, they just won't look further. But keep in mind, don't just have a great event title and do event marketing using that title. The event itself must live up to its title or people will get mad at you for false advertising. Having a great and catchy title for my events allowed me to promote my events on other sites. There are many event marketing sites for just about every geographical area so you should take advantage of those. They can drive a lot of attendance to your events. So I would post the fun-sounding events on my site and local event marketing and promotion sites. You can also create a meetup.com account, but it costs $12/month or so. Then as a part of my event marketing, I took advantage of all the social components of the events. Most events are social and people attend them with friends and family. So make sure to get people to bring friends. Additionally, part of social media marketing for events is meetup.com which has many people looking to attend events. And there are existing meetup groups so partnering with those groups can drive a lot of people to your event and should be a part of your event marketing strategy. And also, be consistent. When I started with my event marketing, I was getting zero people to show up. But I only made the event successful by being persistent promoting it over time. So don't give up! The marketing apps are also available on Android's GooglePlay, the App Store from iOS, and the Kindle app store. WHAT YOU DO: Work with radio stations, social media platforms, creative agencies, and sports organizations to make your television network, website, and social media pages THE destination point for your target audience. EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree is essential for an entry-level position in marketing. Many students choose a traditional business or communication-related major (advertising, communications), but social science majors such as psychology and anthropology can also be useful. Higher-level positions often require additional business knowledge, so an MBA can really set you apart as a job candidate. USEFUL SKILLS: You'll be working with a team to discuss marketing strategies, so communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to persuade are all essential. Equally important are quantitative skills (to interpret ratings information, campaign metrics, etc), and skills that will help you connect with a multicultural audience -- in the case of sports marketing, this includes social media skills, the ability to speak Spanish, and an understanding of sports. HOW TO GET IN: Try to build a relationship with anyone in the in the sports or media industry and get a better understanding of what they do. Look for internships, and remember it's very important to have something to discuss during formal interviews. It's not enough to say you want to work in sports because you're a fan; learn the business behind sports and who watches them. CAREER PATH: Even if you start working for a team in ticket sales, make sure to look & see what else you can do to gain additional skills. Stay involved in anything you can be a part of, like social media outreach, working with the PR department, working with the team selling sponsorships, etc. Then try for an entry-level job in the marketing department at a network or company, where you'll work with a team on analyzing ad campaigns. The next step is to work on developing campaigns with a team of your own. You may focus on a specific sport or group of viewers, and if your marketing is successful enough, you could become a media executive of an entire channel or network. PAYBACK: Typical salary for a VP of marketing in media is around $130K. DOWNSIDES: The sports industry is very competitive and entry-level positions pay very poorly. NETWORKING: Any team and league websites (including minor league teams) and any broadcasters involved with sports (NFL Network, FOX Sports, Telemundo, Time Warner Cable, etc.) Video produced by students at LACHSA working with Gigniks' careers media program. -- Ali Sanford (LACES 12th grade)

How To Become an Event Promotion Machine

35:42
This week Eric Worre gives you 10 Strategies to Become an Event Promotion Machine, and ideas on how you can be a world class promoter. Promotion in network marketing is the number one highest paid skill. The people who can get people to make a decision to go and attend an event, they get paid bigger than anybody else in network marketing… When people go to events, their vision changes, their game plan changes, and their view of the future changes. In this video Eric is discussing event promotion for the promotional partners of the upcoming Recruiting Mastery event, but the concept is the same regardless of the event or company. Strategy #1 is to Promote. As Eric explains, don’t confuse Promotion with Announcements. Most people announce, and announcements don’t create promotion. Make sure people know that you are committed to it also, let them know the value and benefits. For example, “Here’s all the things you’re going to get if you decide to attend this event with us.” Promotion is all inclusive. Strategy #2, promote to your entire team. Talk about what they are going to learn. Talk about the relationships, talk about the fun, adventure, excitement and ideas. Talk about all the benefits they would get by being there. Strategy #3 – Work With Your Leaders. Identify key leaders that are going to be part of your promotional team. Give those people some benefits for promotion and results, such as maybe you have a special dinner or party for those people, or maybe some incentives or some bonus recognition. Use your leaders to create leverage. Get your team involved. Strategy #4 –Prizes or awards. Maybe you could benefit by not just selling tickets, but you could use a few as giveaways, or incentives or bonuses. Maybe you’ve got a leg that needs to be built up in order for you to move to the next level. You can tell the people in your organization that if they achieve XYZ, then you have give them a ticket as a reward, as incentive, as a contest in order to be able to provide an incentive for them to do the task that’s going to reward you not only short term but long term. Strategy #5 – Recognition. Recognize the people who register. Recognize the people who register early. Recognize the people who are on the leadership team. Recognize they’re stepping out and getting outside of their comfort zone. Recognize them on Facebook. Recognize them on email. Recognize them on conference calls. Recognize them however you want to recognize them, but recognition drives behavior, it really, really does. Strategy #6 – Create an Event Within the Event. For example, if you are promoting an event, let them know of a special acticity or party you have planned just for your team. Create a little get together before the event even starts to get them excited and focused. There are lunches, breakfasts, dinners, workouts, or anything you want to do inside of your team. Create some extra things. Strategy #7 - Repetition. Repetition being the idea that you can’t just announce this and you can’t just invite people, you have to promote, which means repeat it over and over and over and over and over again for people to realize that you’re serious about this. Strategy #8 – Host Hotels. Create a host hotel if your event isn’t located in a hotel. Use it as party central. Maybe throw a pool part the day before the event, or have a party in lounge, or appetizers or dinner. Engage in those activities as a team. Use the hotel to help create some excitement. Strategy #9 - No. 9. Corporate or Cross Line. Talk to people that maybe you have good relationship with that are cross line to you, and see if they want a little chunk of your tickets in order to bring part of their team. Also talk to Corporate and see if they want to use tickets as incentives or scholarships. And finally Strategy #10 – Create breakout sessions for your team after the event is over. This will really help your team absorb the materials that were presented and create strategy that everyone can implement so you all are rowing on the same team. They are interested in symbols and ideas that help them relate the product to a desired lifestyle and positive expectations about the future. Customers do not simply buy products because they satisfy their needs. Instead, they are interested in becoming clients of firms that offer them a complete product concept – an idea or a promise, if you will.
