What Is A Normal Cholesterol Level?

05:34
Find out what do your total cholesterol numbers mean. Discover why Dr. Sam Robbins, recommends CholesLo ™ as the solution for lowering your cholesterol with less effort and time. 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/CholesterolLevels-CholesLo ********************* What Is A Normal Cholesterol Level? *************************** Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that is naturally present in cell walls or membranes everywhere in the body. Your body uses cholesterol to produce many hormones, as well as one of the most important vitamins in the body – Vitamin D. High cholesterol in your bloodstream can lead to narrowing of the arteries, which can cause a heart attack or stroke. Your goal is to have “healthy” cholesterol levels – not too high or too low. Your goal should be to keep cholesterol level below 140 mg/dL. What do your total cholesterol numbers mean? Your total blood cholesterol is measure of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and other lipid components. It is a combination of numerous numbers and this is why most people just focus on this number for simplicity reasons. Improving your cholesterol levels is very important but it is just one factor out of many, when it comes to preventing and reversing heart disease. You also need to improve your HDL/LDL ratios, triglycerides, homocysteine and other lipid levels. Managing your lipid profiles is probably one of the most important aspects to health, longevity, and disease prevention. Making dramatic life-style changes — such as eating much better, eliminating many different foods and exercising daily — is very important but for many people can be difficult to start and it takes a longer time to see results. Do you know how to start easier and get faster results? CholesLo ™ contains ingredients that have been scientifically research and clinically tested to help support healthy cholesterol levels. CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IMPROVE FOR U.S. ADULTS

02:26
Testing blood cholesterol levels is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Studies show that higher levels of the "bad" or L-D-L cholesterol and lower levels of the "good" or H-D-L cholesterol are major risk factors for coronary heart disease. A new study examined if American adults are making favorable progress when it comes to managing healthy levels of cholesterol. Catherine Dolf has more in this week's JAMA Report.

Cholesterol Levels Chart Explanation - HDL and LDL cholesterol

04:23
In this video, you will find out what is the optimum cholesterol level and how HDL and LDL should be balanced. And if you want to discover a proven way to lower cholesterol naturally, click this link: ►► http://drsam.co/yt/cholesterolchart-choleslo And if you want to watch another video called "What is a normal cholesterol level?", click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1TEIwTUaeQ =============================================== Cholesterol Levels Chart - Balance between HDL and LDL =============================================== Hi … this is Dr. Sam Robbins Today’s question is from Debbie and she asks “Can you please explain and simplify the cholesterol numbers and charts?” This is a good question because I think we should all know more about how our body works because nobody will care more about your health than you will. First we have your “Total Cholesterol” numbers, which is the sum of all the cholesterol in your blood. As you can see from the chart, your goal should be less than 200mg/dL. However, I’d like to point out that I personally believe that anything less than 150mg/dL is TOO LOW! And yes, your cholesterol can be “too low” and I think that’s just as bad as “too high”, which is over 240mg/dL What most people don’t know or understand, is that your body NEEDS cholesterol and it has many important functions, such as: ● Producing your “sex hormones”, such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, DHEA and similar “youth” hormones ● Utilizing Vitamin D and other fat-soluble vitamins, which help your bones, nerves, metabolism, skin elasticity, strong immunity and so forth. ● Proper brain function, memory, cognition, balancing dopamine, serotonin and other “feel good” neurotransmitters. And this is a major problem with cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs and why they cause: ● Impotence ● Memory loss ● Accelerated aging ● Depression ● Etc. In a minute I’ll show you how you can easily improve your cholesterol levels naturally, WITHOUT the use of these harmful drugs or a restrictive diet. However, what I’d like to point out is that what matters most is the CORRECT BALANCE in your lipid levels, which is what I want to talk about next and that’s your HDL/LDL ratios... =HDL= First I’d like to start with your HDL, which is short for “high density lipoprotein”. Your HDL is considered the "good" cholesterol because it can help decrease the cholesterol buildup in the walls of your arteries, that causes narrowing of their openings. Generally speaking, the higher your HDL, the better. For example, after giving my mom some specific herbs that I’ll tell you about in a minute, I was able to raise her “good” HDL from 52 mg/dL to 94 mg/dL Her cardiologist and I are very happy because sometimes my mom’s TOTAL cholesterol goes in the “borderline high” range (200-239 mg/dL). However, we’re okay with that because her “good” HDL is so high and thus, very protective. =LDL= Lastly, I’d like to finish with your LDL, which is short for “low density lipoprotein”. Your LDL is considered the "bad" cholesterol because the risk of heart disease goes up if you have high levels of LDL. So you want this to be LOW This is basically the OPPOSITE of what HDL does. =Summary= Remember, your goal is to have healthy cholesterol levels between the range of 150-200 mg/dL. Too LOW is just as bad as too HIGH. And what matters most with your cholesterol numbers is your HDL/LDL ratios. You want your “good” HDL to be high and “bad” LDL to be low. A good way to remember this is the “H” in HDL for HIGH and “L” in LDL for LOW. I hope this video was helpful and gave your more clarity. There has been new analysis of earlier studies that found “People with higher levels of LDL live longer and are not at risk of heart disease.” LDL is a lipoprotein or like a shuttle that has a lot of nutrients on it including cholesterol, triglycerides, vitamin E and several other factors. It is involved in energy metabolism bringing fuel to different cells and it also has a secondary purpose which is to help deliver vitamin E to protect the cell as well to act as an antioxidant. LDL is delivering reparative actions but it isn’t the culprit to the main cause of the problem. And the true culprit is the high insulin and insulin resistance. He also talked about a test called Coronary Artery Calcification Scoring Test. Half of all Heart Attack Patients Have Normal Cholesterol Levels

A study was done showing 50% of all heart attack patients had normal cholesterol levels so books like The Cholesterol Myth point to this as evidence that cholesterol is irrelevant to heart disease risk since half have high cholesterol and the other half have low cholesterol. But....is that really the whole story or is there more to it than that? In this video I dissect the study that was done here: https://www.davedraper.com/fusionbb/fbbuploads/1299416134-275_Fonarow.pdf I then explain how acute phase response skews these results and what that means for using post-cardiac arrest cholesterol levels in assessing cholesterol level risk for heart attack risk. Cholesterol levels by age differences and recommendations

10:50
Whats New - Source: Cholesterol levels by age: Differences and recommendations. by Jenna Fletcher. Cholesterol levels vary by age, weight, and gender. Over time, a person's body tends to produce more cholesterol, meaning that all adults should check their cholesterol levels regularly, ideally about every 4 to 6 years. Cholesterol is measured in three categories: • total cholesterol • LDL, or 'bad cholesterol" • HDL, or 'good cholesterol" The struggle for most people is balancing these levels. While total and LDL cholesterol levels should be kept low, having more HDL cholesterol can offer some protection against a person developing heart-related illnesses including heart attacks and strokes. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/315900.php Be sure to visit us at Twitter http://twitter@monty0131.com link: http://stayingfittoday.com whatsnewmonty

Cholesterol Levels LDL - HDL

02:00
To determine the normal levels of cholesterol in the blood, see description of cholesterol levels as follows: Less than 200 mg per dl It is a measure of normal cholesterol levels. That is the amount of total cholesterol LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), and triglycerides less than 200 mg per dl, thus heart disease will not snoop us. But that does not mean you continue to eat fatty foods that you know, (wah still normal, free to eat anything) remains set diet and exercising In the range of 200-239 mg per dl Including cholesterol levels are sufficient. If it's your cholesterol levels are in the range of 200-239 mg per dl, you should check to a laboratory to determine the details of the levels of LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. More than 240 mg per dl High-risk cholesterol levels. Why is that, because a person with a measure cholesterol levels are likely to develop heart disease. Normal levels of HDL cholesterol HDL levels normal for men ranges between 40-50 mg per dl, and between 20-60 mg per dl for women. If higher levels of HDL, the less the risk of heart disease. Normal levels of LDL cholesterol Conversely, the fewer the levels of LDL in the blood, the less risk of heart disease. In general, LDL levels are divided into the following categories; less than 100 mg per dl = very good Between 100-129 mg per dl = normal Between 130-159 mg per dl = sufficient Between 160-189 mg per dl = high more than 190 mg per dl = very high cholesterol levels by age cholesterol levels normal cholesterol levels in food

3 Best Home Remedies To REDUCE HIGH CHOLESTEROL LEVELS

01:13
Home remedies for CHOLESTEROL CONTROL. LEARN how to LOWER CHOLESTEROL LEVELS naturally. Many of us are ignorant about how to reduce high cholesterol levels naturally! What Is Cholesterol: Cholesterol is both  good and bad for the body. Within normal levels, it is a great   substance for the body's normal functioning.  If the levels in the blood increase, cholesterol can be dangerous and can cause a heart attack. Every cell of the body has cholesterol. It is produced by the body but can also be obtained from food. It is waxy and fat-like in appearance.  Cholesterol is oil-based. It does not mix with the blood, which is water-based. It is transported through the body by two kinds of lipoproteins which are HDL(high-density lipoprotein) and LDL(low-density lipoprotein). Causes of Cholesterol:  High levels of LDL(low-density lipoprotein) result in an increase of cholesterol in the arteries, whereas HDL(high-density lipoprotein) carries cholesterol to the liver for removal from the body. High cholesterol levels narrow the arteries. This is called atherosclerosis, by which plaques form and cause restriction of blood flow.  An unhealthy diet and lack of exercise are also factors that contribute to bad Cholesterol.  How To Lower Cholesterol : Here are some healthy foods that reduce lower Cholesterol levels in the body.  Consume 2 servings of oats for breakfast daily.  If you are looking for more foods that will lower your cholesterol levels, then opt for Nuts. If you eat 1.5 ounces of walnuts, 6 days a week for a month, cholesterol will come down by 5.4%.  Consumption of tea also helps in lowering cholesterol levels. Dark bitter chocolate is also eaten to combat bad Cholesterol.  The functions of Cholesterol are:  1. It aids in the structure of cell walls. 2. It creates digestive bile acids in the intestine. 3. It allows the production of Vitamin D, by the body. 4. It also helps the body to produce certain hormones.  Symptoms of High Cholesterol Levels: Usually there are no direct symptoms of Cholesterol in most cases. So a blood test is the only way to find out about the cholesterol levels, in order to take precautions.  The actual symptoms would clearly show up in an emergency. For instance, a heart attack or strokes are clear symptoms of bad Cholesterol.   How To Lower Cholesterol Levels: By the end of the day, all of us need to get our priorities right. Dr. Ronald Krauss on LDL Cholesterol, Particle Size, Heart Disease & Atherogenic Dyslipidemia

01:21:18
Dr. Ronald Krauss, M.D. is the director of atherosclerosis research at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute, Adjunct Professor at UCSF and UC Berkeley. Dr. Krauss is really one of the pioneering scientists that changed the way we all think about cholesterol. He developed an assay that allows the quantification of low-density lipoprotein particle size and concentration (known to the wider world mostly as just "LDL cholesterol") based on a technique which determines the size of the particle based on physics...meaning the speed at which it flies through the air. This test which has not yet been fully adopted into all clinical practice in the manner that the total LDL cholesterol test has is known as the "ion mobility" test. In this episode, Rhonda and Ron discuss what HDL and LDL cholesterol are, what they do in the body, critical distinctions between the particle sizes of LDL and HDL, and how they play a role in heart disease. We talk about what small, dense LDL particles are, how they form, what effect eating saturated fat versus refined carbohydrates have on LDL particle size and heart disease risk and more generally what the main risk factors for heart disease are. Ron also talks about the good, bad and the ugly of LDL-lowering drugs known as statins, what the characteristics are of atherogenic dyslipidemia, riffs on the manner in which inflammatory cell wall components of bacteria, such as lipopolysaccharide, may interact with cholesterol to make it more harmful, and the effects of sugars on lipid production, and so much more. ▶︎ Get the show notes and transcript! https://www.foundmyfitness.com/episodes/ronald-krauss ▶︎ Join my weekly newsletter: http://www.foundmyfitness.com/?sendme=nutrigenomics ▶︎ Crowdfund more videos: http://www.patreon.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Subscribe on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=foundmyfitness ▶︎ Subscribe to the podcast: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/foundmyfitness/id818198322 ▶︎ Twitter: http://twitter.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/foundmyfitness ▶︎ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/foundmyfitness

Cholesterol levels improve in the US - IN60

01:25
From Maryland - Cholesterol levels have improved in the US in the past 20 years, according to a report published in JAMA. Examining nationally representative data from 1988 to 2010, researchers found that average total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels declined over 22 years, with an increase in HDL cholesterol levels as well as cholesterol lowering medications. From Germany - Alcohol dependence may shorten lifespan more than smoking, according to a report published in Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research. Researchers studied over 4,000 adults for 14 years, 149 of whom were alcohol dependent. Results showed that mean age at death for females dependent on alcohol was 60 and 58 for males, both of which are 20 years earlier than the general population. From Denmark - A new report published in the Cochrane Library questions the benefits of routine general health checks. Results of a meta-analysis examining 14 studies and over 180,000 people found that general health checks did not reduce overall deaths, or deaths from heart disease or cancer.

► 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven]

05:39
See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/StartLoweringYourCholesterolNaturally =============================== 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven] =============================== Cholesterol has many benefits and it’s definitely NOT your “enemy”. In fact, “low” cholesterol is just as bad as “high” cholesterol levels. However, there are certain foods that are really bad for you and can quickly increase your “bad” cholesterol levels and dramatically increase your risk for heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Under this video I’ve got a special bonus video about how you can quickly lower your cholesterol levels in less than 30 days, naturally - without changing your diet or exercising. So make sure you take a look... However, let’s first start with the 5 worsts, clinically proven - “high cholesterol” foods that you must avoid! Dairy I’ve been saying this for over 2 decades - Milk is for babies and cow milk is for baby cows! Additionally, 99% of dairy products are pasteurized, which kills any benefits milk could have. Not to mention, the toxins, hormones and drugs these animals are given are highly concentrated in the milk - which goes inside of YOU! All of these factors, plus the saturated fat inside milk, increases your cholesterol and stresses your liver. It doesn’t matter if it’s whole, low or nonfat dairy, it’s all the same. Unfortunately, this also includes two of my favorite foods, ice cream and cheese! Fast Foods It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, tacos, french fries, pizza or anything else - they’re all high in carbohydrates, hydrogenated and saturated fats, using unhealthy and toxic proteins. It’s cheap food. It may be easy and good for your wallet, but it’s bad for your health and cholesterol levels and you’ll pay the price later in life. Animal Protein The saturated fats and “marble fat” found in meat, pork, poultry and shell-fish is horrible for your health and cholesterol levels. I’ve noticed even grass-fed meat and free-range poultry can still cause high cholesterol in some of my patients, especially the “sensitive” ones. Limit your intake and focus more on vegetable proteins and fish - especially wild-caught salmon. Eggs Eggs can be good or bad. All the cholesterol and fat is located in the egg YOLK, which is why most “experts” say you should only consume egg whites. However, most of the nutrients, antioxidants and half the essential amino acids (protein) are also found in the yolk. The problem is when you COOK the yolk - such as hard-boiled, scrambled and fried eggs. The heat oxidizes the egg and damages both the structure of the protein and fat. So the healthiest way to eat eggs is raw or lightly cooked, so the yolk is still runny. Don’t fry it with butter or vegetable fats. And make sure it’s organic, free-range eggs. Baked Foods/Carbs (Snacks Too) Baked foods such as muffins, cakes, breads, donuts, croissants, rolls, cookies, danishes, scones, pie, etc… The types of foods most people eat in the morning when they’re in a rush, or with their coffee or at work as a snack… These are all bad because they contain hydrogenated and saturated fats, as well as dairy. Not to mention, they’re high in simple carbohydrates and sugars. “Bad” fats increase cholesterol. “Bad” fats + carbs/sugar REALLY increase your cholesterol and lead to numerous health issues. The combination is super unhealthy. Under this same category -- “Snack Foods” such as chips, pretzels, crackers and similar items are almost as bad as these bakes foods. How Do We Know that Cholesterol Causes Heart Disease?

(http://nutritionfacts.org/video/should-all-children-have-their-cholesterol-checked). What if you do get tested and your doctors tells you not to worry because your cholesterol’s “normal.” Having a normal cholesterol in the society where it’s normal to drop dead of heart attack (the #1 killer of men and women!) r is not necessarily a good thing. Saturated fats that are high in cholesterol were taken off the nutrient concern list after almost 60 years, suggesting that the “no cholesterol” era may have been based on a hasty misinterpretation of the science. While studies have found that high cholesterol is not necessarily associated with heart and circulatory concerns, there is emerging science suggesting that triglycerides are. Triglycerides are the fats that are made from any extra calories you don’t use as energy right away. For example, fructose is a sugar that is easily converted into triglyceride fat and, as a result, gets some bad press from the Paleo camps. But wait, when we think about fruits and when they were harvested, we see that the sweetest fruits with the most fructose are harvested in the fall.  So, gorging on fruits in the fall tends to deliver seasonal high levels of fructose. The excess fructose that is not used as fuel is stored in the fat as triglycerides to prepare for winter. ...read more: http://lifespa.com/why-lower-triglycerides-not-cholesterol RELATED ARTICLES: What You Don’t Know About Cholesterol -- http://lifespa.com/balance-cholesterol-naturally/ Part 4: “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Cholesterol!” A Better Way To Read Your Results -- http://lifespa.com/cant-believe-cholesterol-better-way-read-results/ Part 3: Cholesterol: Size Matters -- http://lifespa.com/cholesterol-size-matters/ Part 2: Saturated Fats and Cholesterol Exonerated -- http://lifespa.com/saturated-fats-cholesterol-exonerated/ Part 1: Writing Love Letters Lowers Cholesterol -- http://lifespa.com/writing-love-letters-lowers-cholesterol/ Cholesterol -- http://lifespa.com/ayurvedic-treatment-health-topics/cholesterol/ Healthy Cholesterol -- http://lifespa.com/healthy-cholesterol/ Health Benefits of Garbanzo Beans (Chickpeas) -- http://lifespa.com/health-benefits-of-garbanzo-beans-chickpeas/ Episode 31: Troubleshoot Your Intestinal Bacteria, Candida and SIBO -- http://lifespa.com/episode-31-troubleshoot-your-intestinal-bacteria-candida-and-sibo/ Gallbladder Or Not: 10 Tips To Digest Fat -- http://lifespa.com/gallbladder-or-not-10-tips-to-digest-fat/ How to Navigate the New High Fat Diet Trends & Become a Better Fat Burner -- http://lifespa.com/how-to-navigate-new-high-fat-diet-trends-and-become-a-better-fat-burner/ Beans: Spring’s Unexpected Superfood -- http://lifespa.com/beans-springs-unexpected-superfood/

Dave Feldman: Biohacking High Cholesterol Levels on Keto Diet

01:04:09
Dave Feldman explains how some get high cholesterol blood results on a keto diet, but how quickly you can reduce your cholesterol levels if needed. Dave is fast becoming a sought after cholesterol expert in the low carb diet community. This is because of his in depth and extensive self-experimentation results. Dave is a hyper-responder to a keto diet. This means when he eats more fat and less carb he experiences a rise in LDL cholesterol unlike others who can get the opposite. However, Dave is trying to crack the cholesterol code by testing on his own body what happens when he manipulates certain factors to his cholesterol blood test readings. He has discovered the inversion pattern plus devised the Feldman Protocol for reducing cholesterol within a day or two if needed quickly. If you have changed your diet to eat less carbohydrates and more fat, but your blood tests show your cholesterol has gone up and now you are worried then this interview is for you. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Cholesterol is an essential component of all animal cells, but TOO MUCH cholesterol IN THE BLOOD is a high-risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. Cholesterol levels are measured in a blood test known as lipid panel or lipid profile. This test typically reports: total cholesterol; LOW-density lipoprotein, LDL, also known as “bad” cholesterol; HIGH-density lipoprotein, HDL, or “good” cholesterol; and triglycerides. A desirable profile includes LESS than 200mg/dL of TOTAL cholesterol, with LESS than 100mg/dL of LDL and MORE than 40mg/dL of HDL. The body obtains cholesterol in 2 ways: from foods of animal origin, and its own endogenous production. Usually, cholesterol levels are kept in check by a negative feedback control. LOW levels of INTRACELLULAR cholesterol INDUCE its own production, while HIGH cholesterol levels INHIBIT it. It is noteworthy, however, that this regulation applies to the concentration of cholesterol INSIDE the CELLS, NOT in the BLOOD. The HIGH prevalence of HIGH BLOOD cholesterol worldwide suggests that this control mechanism is NOT sufficient to maintain healthy cholesterol levels when challenged by a number of factors, including poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, obesity, diabetes, and aging. In addition, some people have an INHERITED condition called “familial hypercholesterolemia”, FH, that causes very HIGH levels of LDL, the “bad“ cholesterol, at a young age. Left untreated, patients are likely to have heart attacks in their 40s or 50s. LDL is basically a vehicle that transports cholesterol from the liver to peripheral cells so it can be used in the cell membrane. Peripheral cells TAKE UP LDL by endocytosis, using their LDL receptor, which binds to a protein ligand on LDL surface. Most cases of FH are caused by a MUTATION in the LDL receptor gene. A defective LDL receptor REDUCES LDL uptake, leaving MORE LDL in the circulation while the cells are DEFICIENT in cholesterol. LOW INTRAcellular cholesterol levels induce FURTHER production of endogenous cholesterol in the liver, eventually causing even HIGHER levels of circulating LDL. One copy of the mutated gene is enough to cause high cholesterol. The condition is therefore inherited in an autosomal DOMINANT manner. A parent with an altered gene has a 50% chance of passing it to a child. If both parents have FH, each child has a 50% chance of having FH, a 25% chance of NOT having FH, and a 25% chance of having TWO copies of the mutated gene, called HOMOZYGOUS FH. Without treatment, homozygous FH patients may have heart attacks in their 20s and may not survive past the age of 30. Treatments for high cholesterol must start with life style changes such as healthy diets and physical exercise. On top of that, some people may require medications to lower cholesterol. These drugs INHIBIT cholesterol production, intestinal absorption, or reabsorption in the form of bile. Homozygous FH patients usually require more DRASTIC treatment measures which include a procedure called LDL APHERESIS. In this procedure, the blood is diverted through a FILTRATION device where LDL is REMOVED before the remaining plasma and blood cells are returned to the body. The procedure is repeated weekly or biweekly.

Reducing cholesterol naturally | An ancient Chinese method for reducing cholesterol The main ingredients of this recipe have very beneficial properties for the body and, when you combine them, you multiply their action. Cholesterol is a type of fat (also known as lipid) that your body needs to work at the optimum level. But the problem that is becoming increasingly common nowadays is that too many people are at risk from cardiovascular disease because they have high cholesterol , usually as a result of poor nutrition. In medical terms, this condition is known as lipid disorder or hypercholesterolemia. To prevent it from triggering other more serious illnesses, it is important to find a way to test it . It should also be noted that cholesterol is divided into three different categories depending on its composition. "Good" cholesterol is known as high density lipoprotein (HDL). "Bad" cholesterol is low density lipoprotein (LDL). Total cholesterol is the combination of both types. In most cases, people who have high cholesterol levels make an overly fat diet, but high cholesterol may also be due to overweight or sedentary lifestyle . Increasingly nowadays, health experts, particularly cardiovascular specialists, are calling on people to become aware of the dangers that high cholesterol may entail. That's why in today's video we'll talk about some natural treatments and habits that you can change to lower your cholesterol to more normal levels without unpleasant side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine has been used for centuries and especially one of its recipes has become popular all over the world as people try to control this important health problem. What is this ancient Chinese recipe? This ancient recipe from traditional Chinese medicine combines garlic nutrition with lemon juice to improve cardiovascular health and lower cholesterol levels , but it also helps people who are trying to slim down on their goals. The two main ingredients are used in the form of a concentrated infusion, which contributes to the detoxification of the body, eliminates unnecessary substances and prevents the emergence of other chronic health problems . Of course, its main effect is on the heart and the circulatory system, as it improves circulation and cleanses your blood. 7 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid

16:27
Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that’s found in all cells of the body. Our bodies need cholesterol to make hormones that protect the body, vitamin D and bile salts that are necessary for the breakdown of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Plus, the brain and nervous system depend on cholesterol for the creation of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. Our bodies make the cholesterol that we need, but we get cholesterol from our food too. If you have too much cholesterol, it starts to build up in your arteries and may lead to atherosclerosis, or the hardening of the arteries. Here is a list of 10 foods to avoid if you have a Cholesterol. 01:02 Macaroni And Cheese. 02:05 Egg Yolks. 03:09 Red Meats. 04:07 Milk and Other Conventional Dairy Products. 05:06 ice cream. 06:03 Canola Oil and Other Processed Vegetable Oils. 07:02 Cookies and Other Sugary Treats. 08:01 Bacon and Other Processed Meats. 09:08 Processed Meats. 10:01 Potato Chips and Other Packaged Foods. Macaroni and cheese are necessary to limit among the foods high in cholesterol to avoid. We all know that the main macaroni and cheese ingredients include cheese, butter, and whole milk. Many types of cheese are rich in cholesterol with about from 7 to 11% daily value for cholesterol per ounce. One of the most common foods high in cholesterol to avoid is egg yolks. We know that eggs are always a good choice for breakfast as it contains a lot of nutrients that is necessary for the body. But they are also rich in cholesterol that is not good for the people with heart disease and high cholesterol levels. Red meats are a good food for the health in general. But for the people with high cholesterol levels, they are the foods high in cholesterol to avoid. These meats like pork, lamb, and beef often have more saturated fat and cholesterol than other meats. Milk fat contains a broad range of fatty acids, and some have a negative impact on cholesterol-rich lipoproteins. The saturated fatty acids, such as lauric acid and myristic acid, increase total plasma cholesterol, especially LDL. In a cup of rich chocolate ice-cream, there are 15.36 grams of saturated fat which makes up almost a full day’s supply. This means once you consume one cup of rich chocolate ice cream, other sources of saturated fat such as meat, cheese, milk and other animal products should be avoided. When canola oil undergoes hydrogenation, which it often does to become a partially hydrogenated oil, this increases its level of trans fats. These are a group of fats that you want to avoid as much as possible since they’re scientifically known to increase LDL cholesterol and lower HDL cholesterol levels. Dietary sugars serve as the cause of obesity, several chronic diseases and a range of cardiometabolic risk factors. Today in the U.S., over 75 percent of packaged and processed foods contain some form of added sugar. Recent studies have shown that processed meats are associated with increased cardiovascular disease and stroke mortality. Evidence suggests that processed meat consumption increases the risk of heart health issues, while unprocessed meat consumption has a small or no association with cardiovascular disease. The processed meats like bacon, sausages, ham, beef sticks are high in cholesterol. These foods are very common and eaten with bread and hamburger. They are considered as a good choice for the busy people. But you should avoid these foods. Extensive research evaluates the rise in snacking, snack foods and ultra-processed foods in the American diet. Some studies show that 66 percent of calories consumed by U.S. citizens comes from packaged foods and beverages. David Diamond - An Update on Demonization and Deception in Research on Saturated Fat...

59:14
This lecture is part of the IHMC Evening Lecture series. https://www.ihmc.us/life/evening_lectures/ For the past 60 years there has been a concerted effort to demonize saturated fats, found in animal products and tropical oils, and cholesterol, in our food and blood. Despite the well-established health benefits of diets rich in cholesterol and saturated fat, flawed, deceptive and biased research has created the myth that a low fat, plant-based diet is ideal for good health. I will deliver an update on a talk I gave 2 years ago at the IHMC in Ocala, which will provide a historical perspective on how poorly conducted epidemiological research, U.S. government intervention and misinformation conveyed by contemporary lifestyle researchers have contributed to the current state of confusion on dietary influences on health. In addition, I will discuss how biased research has created the false appearance that high levels of serum cholesterol cause heart disease. I will describe how researchers have used deceptive statistics to give health care providers and the public the false impression that statins produce a dramatic reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular disease and mortality. I will point out that the miniscule benefits of statins are offset by their well-documented adverse effects, such as promoting the development of type 2 diabetes, cognitive impairments, cataracts, muscle pain and wasting, and increased incidence of cancer. This talk will serve as a wake-up call for the public to educate themselves as to how to optimize their diet and cardiovascular health. David. M. Diamond received his Ph.D. in Biology in 1985, with a specialization in Behavioral Neuroscience, from the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the University of California, Irvine. He is a professor in the Departments of Psychology and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida, where he has directed his research program on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Diamond has served on federal government study sections and committees evaluating research on the neurobiology of stress and memory, and has over 100 publications, reviews and book chapters on the brain and memory. He has served on the editorial boards of numerous medical journals and has received 30 years of federally funded support for his research. In the past decade, Dr. Diamond has expanded his research program to include cardiovascular disease and nutrition. His controversial research is an extension of an advanced seminar he directs at the University of South Florida entitled “Myths and Deception in Medical Research”, which emphasizes the critical evaluation of methods and conflicts of interest in health-related research. In recent years he added to his list of publications controversial papers on diet, cholesterol and statins, including one paper published in the peer-reviewed medical journal “Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology”, which described the deceptive practices employed by researchers promoting statins for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Diamond has been invited to present his myth-busting views on nutrition and cholesterol to lay people and physicians at nutrition, cardiology, obesity and diabetes conferences all over the world.

How To Lower Cholesterol Levels With 5 juices and drinks to lower bad cholesterol levels Did you know that parsley can help us lower cholesterol? It also helps us lower triglycerides, reduce blood pressure and, as vasodilator, improves circulation. Cholesterol is a lipid that our body needs in certain amounts to work properly. However, sedentary lifestyle and poor diet have led to undue increase in cholesterol levels , resulting in serious health problems and increased risks of heart disease, stroke and other problems. Cholesterol is present in almost all of our body, especially in the nervous system, skin, muscles, liver, intestines and heart. In turn, this is divided into two categories to identify whether it is "bad" cholesterol or "good" cholesterol, LDL or HDL respectively. Bad cholesterol is the product of a diet rich in fried foods, sweets, artificial products, fats, or sausages, among others. For its part, good cholesterol or HDL is the one that is responsible for collecting bad cholesterol from the blood and transport it to the liver to be eliminated. Precisely this is what makes it "good" because it is responsible for helping to eliminate excess bad cholesterol present in the body. If after the last clinical tests the doctor determined that your cholesterol levels are high, perhaps it is time to consider some juices and home-made drinks that can help you control this problem to reduce the likelihood of its possible consequences.
