Find out what do your total cholesterol numbers mean. Discover why Dr. Sam Robbins, recommends CholesLo ™ as the solution for lowering your cholesterol with less effort and time. 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/CholesterolLevels-CholesLo ********************* What Is A Normal Cholesterol Level? *************************** Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that is naturally present in cell walls or membranes everywhere in the body. Your body uses cholesterol to produce many hormones, as well as one of the most important vitamins in the body – Vitamin D. High cholesterol in your bloodstream can lead to narrowing of the arteries, which can cause a heart attack or stroke. Your goal is to have “healthy” cholesterol levels – not too high or too low. Your goal should be to keep cholesterol level below 140 mg/dL. What do your total cholesterol numbers mean? Your total blood cholesterol is measure of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and other lipid components. It is a combination of numerous numbers and this is why most people just focus on this number for simplicity reasons. Improving your cholesterol levels is very important but it is just one factor out of many, when it comes to preventing and reversing heart disease. You also need to improve your HDL/LDL ratios, triglycerides, homocysteine and other lipid levels. Managing your lipid profiles is probably one of the most important aspects to health, longevity, and disease prevention. Making dramatic life-style changes — such as eating much better, eliminating many different foods and exercising daily — is very important but for many people can be difficult to start and it takes a longer time to see results. Do you know how to start easier and get faster results? CholesLo ™ contains ingredients that have been scientifically research and clinically tested to help support healthy cholesterol levels. CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IMPROVE FOR U.S. ADULTS

02:26
Testing blood cholesterol levels is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Studies show that higher levels of the "bad" or L-D-L cholesterol and lower levels of the "good" or H-D-L cholesterol are major risk factors for coronary heart disease. A new study examined if American adults are making favorable progress when it comes to managing healthy levels of cholesterol. Catherine Dolf has more in this week's JAMA Report.

Cholesterol Levels Chart Explanation - HDL and LDL cholesterol

04:23
In this video, you will find out what is the optimum cholesterol level and how HDL and LDL should be balanced. And if you want to discover a proven way to lower cholesterol naturally, click this link: ►► http://drsam.co/yt/cholesterolchart-choleslo And if you want to watch another video called "What is a normal cholesterol level?", click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1TEIwTUaeQ =============================================== Cholesterol Levels Chart - Balance between HDL and LDL =============================================== Hi … this is Dr. Sam Robbins Today’s question is from Debbie and she asks “Can you please explain and simplify the cholesterol numbers and charts?” This is a good question because I think we should all know more about how our body works because nobody will care more about your health than you will. First we have your “Total Cholesterol” numbers, which is the sum of all the cholesterol in your blood. As you can see from the chart, your goal should be less than 200mg/dL. However, I’d like to point out that I personally believe that anything less than 150mg/dL is TOO LOW! And yes, your cholesterol can be “too low” and I think that’s just as bad as “too high”, which is over 240mg/dL What most people don’t know or understand, is that your body NEEDS cholesterol and it has many important functions, such as: ● Producing your “sex hormones”, such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, DHEA and similar “youth” hormones ● Utilizing Vitamin D and other fat-soluble vitamins, which help your bones, nerves, metabolism, skin elasticity, strong immunity and so forth. ● Proper brain function, memory, cognition, balancing dopamine, serotonin and other “feel good” neurotransmitters. And this is a major problem with cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs and why they cause: ● Impotence ● Memory loss ● Accelerated aging ● Depression ● Etc. In a minute I’ll show you how you can easily improve your cholesterol levels naturally, WITHOUT the use of these harmful drugs or a restrictive diet. However, what I’d like to point out is that what matters most is the CORRECT BALANCE in your lipid levels, which is what I want to talk about next and that’s your HDL/LDL ratios... =HDL= First I’d like to start with your HDL, which is short for “high density lipoprotein”. Your HDL is considered the "good" cholesterol because it can help decrease the cholesterol buildup in the walls of your arteries, that causes narrowing of their openings. Generally speaking, the higher your HDL, the better. For example, after giving my mom some specific herbs that I’ll tell you about in a minute, I was able to raise her “good” HDL from 52 mg/dL to 94 mg/dL Her cardiologist and I are very happy because sometimes my mom’s TOTAL cholesterol goes in the “borderline high” range (200-239 mg/dL). However, we’re okay with that because her “good” HDL is so high and thus, very protective. =LDL= Lastly, I’d like to finish with your LDL, which is short for “low density lipoprotein”. Your LDL is considered the "bad" cholesterol because the risk of heart disease goes up if you have high levels of LDL. So you want this to be LOW This is basically the OPPOSITE of what HDL does. =Summary= Remember, your goal is to have healthy cholesterol levels between the range of 150-200 mg/dL. Too LOW is just as bad as too HIGH. And what matters most with your cholesterol numbers is your HDL/LDL ratios. You want your “good” HDL to be high and “bad” LDL to be low. A good way to remember this is the “H” in HDL for HIGH and “L” in LDL for LOW. I hope this video was helpful and gave your more clarity. What Is LDL Cholesterol And Why It's Called The BAD Cholesterol

04:02
►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterol - See how my parents lowered their cholesterol 100% naturally and how you can do the same starting today! =============================================== What Is LDL Cholesterol Why Is It Bad And How Can I Lower It Quickly And Naturally?? =============================================== A comprehensive lipid panel or “Cholesterol” blood test, provides information about the amount of cholesterol carried by different lipoproteins in your blood. There are 5 major types of lipoproteins; -Chylomicrons (ky-lo-mi-crons) typically triglycerides -very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), -intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL), -low-density lipoprotein (LDL) -high-density lipoprotein (HDL). Today I’m going to quickly cover your LDL, which is called low-density lipoprotein because LDL particles tend to be less dense than other kinds of cholesterol particles. This type of cholesterol is produced primarily by your liver, which is an important fact for you to know and I’ll tell you why in a few seconds... Now, this LDL cholesterol and is very important in the creation of cell walls, your hormones, and digestive juices. So, LDL is needed for a healthy body. Unfortunately, LDL is also known as the “Bad Cholesterol” because when your LDL level is high, it can start to form a plaque-like substance on the walls of your cardiovascular system (arteries and veins), blocking the natural flow of blood and leaving you at severe risk for a heart attack and stroke As seen in the chart presented in the video! Your goal is to have “lower” LDL levels, which is the OPPOSITE of HDL (high-density lipoprotein)... and I’ll cover HDL in a different video. An easy way to remember this is to think of the “L” in LDL as LOW and the “H” in HDL as HIGH And thus your goal is to have lower LDL and higher HDL How To Lower Your “Bad’ LDL Cholesterol A proper diet and exercise will help improve your LDL levels…. And i’ll discussed these two topics in detail in a different video. But what’s important to know is that as stated earlier, most of your cholesterol is made in your liver (80%)… and NOT from the foods you eat. Now, this doesn’t mean you can go eat pizza and ice cream every day…. But most people are doing the WRONG things to improve their cholesterol levels And this is why most of us aren’t getting the positive results we expect And we’re frustrated with the lack of results and sadly, we give up and take harmful medications. I know this because this is exactly the problems I ran into with lowering my parent’s cholesterol, levels back in 1998 I talk about this in further detail in a special video that you can click to watch in the description area below this video. Say Goodbye Cholesterol With This 8 Foods That Lower Cholesterol

03:14
http://serious-fitness-programs.com/weightloss Follow Us On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheSeriousfitness Individuals that are overweight and obese are more prone to cardiovascular diseases because of the high cholesterol level in their blood. Therefore, it is recommended that they lose some weight to help reduce their cholesterol level. To help keep cholesterol low, it is important to eat a healthy diet that is low in unsaturated fat. However, cholesterol levels can be reduced when you include the following super 8 foods that lower cholesterol. 1. Oats: Having a bowl of oatmeal or oat-based cereal for breakfast is an easy first step to improving your cholesterol. It provides you with 1g to 2g of soluble fiber and an extra 0.5g each if you add a banana or some strawberries. The daily recommendation for fiber is 20 to 30 grams with 5 to 10 grams obtained from soluble fiber. 2. Barley and other whole grains: These assist in lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases, just like oats and oat bran, mostly through their supply of soluble fiber. 3. Nuts: Nuts are rich in fiber, vegetable protein, healthy fats, vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, natural plant sterols and many other plant nutrients that are beneficial. Taking about 30-35g of nuts daily could lower cholesterol by up to 5%. 4. Beans and Other Legumes: Beans, lentils, peas and peanuts are also super sources of soluble fiber. According to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition (November 2007), it was discovered that eating half a cup of cooked dried pinto beans (2 grams of soluble fiber) every day for 12 weeks consistently decreased LDL cholesterol by almost 7%. 5. Soy: Soy is another super food that is high in fiber, low in saturated fat and free of cholesterol. It is the only complete plant-based protein, which implies that it’s an equal swap for animal sources like meat and dairy. Substituting foods that are high in saturated fat with daily Soy intake has the ability to lower LDL cholesterol by almost 8 to 10% - according to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition (2010). 6. Vegetable oils: Another way to reduce cholesterol is by cooking with liquid vegetable oils such as sunflower, canola, safflower and others instead of butter or lard. 7. Citrus fruits, Grapes, Apples and Strawberries: These fruits are very rich in pectin, a type of soluble fiber that helps lower LDL. 8. Avocados: Avocados contain monounsaturated fats that help in lowering LDL and increasing HDL, most especially in persons with mildly elevated cholesterol. Add a few slices of avocados to salads and sandwiches, or mash with garlic, salsa and lemon juice for a great guacamole. There are many other foods that lower cholesterol levels but these eight are a good place to start if you are dedicated to forming eating habits that are healthy. Generally, stay away from unsaturated fats and eat more of fiber, Omega-3 and monounsaturated fats, - doing this will definitely help improve your cholesterol level. Why Cholesterol Can Go High on a Ketogenic Diet

02:10
Tell Me Your Success with Before & After Images: https://www.drberg.com/add-client-success-story Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about cholesterol being high on a ketogenic diet. This is an oversimplified talk and for more detailed data - see the video on LDL. However, as your fat cells shrink, the fat cell not only releases triglycerides, but cholesterol too. Many people do not know the fat cells are filled with both. The excess cholesterol needs to either be eliminated through the liver and gallbladder (bile) or be recycled. This is all a normal process on ketosis. Hey guys, I want to talk about what will happen if your cholesterol went high on a ketogenic diet. The first thing you should know is that when you lose weight, the fat cells actually shrink. They won’t go away completely, you can’t get rid of the fat cells but you can shrink it. Second thing you need to know is inside that fat cell you have, triglycerides and cholesterol. A lot of people don’t realize that cholesterol is also stored in the fat cells. As the fat cell shrinks, you can burn triglycerides for fuel but you cannot burn cholesterol, it is not a fuel source. It is going to be eliminated to the body as you lose weight. As the fat cell is squeezed, the cholesterol is going to increase in the blood and is going to go in the liver and comes out to the bile. As long as your liver is healthy and you’re eating a lot of vegetables, and you have enough bile, you are totally fine even if your LDL is fine. The key thing is to make sure that your triglycerides are low because if you are not using your triglycerides as a fuel then there is a problem, you are probably eating too much sugar but when you are in ketogenic diet and you are doing it correctly and your triglycerides are low and your HDL and LDL is high, all that means is that you are burning more LDL and there is no bad effects that are going to happen, just keep your vegetables high and as you keep closer to your weight loss goal, that will level out and come back normal. Dave Feldman: Biohacking High Cholesterol Levels on Keto Diet

01:04:09
Dave Feldman explains how some get high cholesterol blood results on a keto diet, but how quickly you can reduce your cholesterol levels if needed. Dave is fast becoming a sought after cholesterol expert in the low carb diet community. This is because of his in depth and extensive self-experimentation results. Dave is a hyper-responder to a keto diet. This means when he eats more fat and less carb he experiences a rise in LDL cholesterol unlike others who can get the opposite. However, Dave is trying to crack the cholesterol code by testing on his own body what happens when he manipulates certain factors to his cholesterol blood test readings. He has discovered the inversion pattern plus devised the Feldman Protocol for reducing cholesterol within a day or two if needed quickly. If you have changed your diet to eat less carbohydrates and more fat, but your blood tests show your cholesterol has gone up and now you are worried then this interview is for you. ► 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven]

05:39
See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/StartLoweringYourCholesterolNaturally =============================== 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven] =============================== Cholesterol has many benefits and it’s definitely NOT your “enemy”. In fact, “low” cholesterol is just as bad as “high” cholesterol levels. However, there are certain foods that are really bad for you and can quickly increase your “bad” cholesterol levels and dramatically increase your risk for heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Under this video I’ve got a special bonus video about how you can quickly lower your cholesterol levels in less than 30 days, naturally - without changing your diet or exercising. So make sure you take a look... However, let’s first start with the 5 worsts, clinically proven - “high cholesterol” foods that you must avoid! Dairy I’ve been saying this for over 2 decades - Milk is for babies and cow milk is for baby cows! Additionally, 99% of dairy products are pasteurized, which kills any benefits milk could have. Not to mention, the toxins, hormones and drugs these animals are given are highly concentrated in the milk - which goes inside of YOU! All of these factors, plus the saturated fat inside milk, increases your cholesterol and stresses your liver. It doesn’t matter if it’s whole, low or nonfat dairy, it’s all the same. Unfortunately, this also includes two of my favorite foods, ice cream and cheese! Fast Foods It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, tacos, french fries, pizza or anything else - they’re all high in carbohydrates, hydrogenated and saturated fats, using unhealthy and toxic proteins. It’s cheap food. It may be easy and good for your wallet, but it’s bad for your health and cholesterol levels and you’ll pay the price later in life. Animal Protein The saturated fats and “marble fat” found in meat, pork, poultry and shell-fish is horrible for your health and cholesterol levels. I’ve noticed even grass-fed meat and free-range poultry can still cause high cholesterol in some of my patients, especially the “sensitive” ones. Limit your intake and focus more on vegetable proteins and fish - especially wild-caught salmon. Eggs Eggs can be good or bad. All the cholesterol and fat is located in the egg YOLK, which is why most “experts” say you should only consume egg whites. However, most of the nutrients, antioxidants and half the essential amino acids (protein) are also found in the yolk. The problem is when you COOK the yolk - such as hard-boiled, scrambled and fried eggs. The heat oxidizes the egg and damages both the structure of the protein and fat. So the healthiest way to eat eggs is raw or lightly cooked, so the yolk is still runny. Don’t fry it with butter or vegetable fats. And make sure it’s organic, free-range eggs. Baked Foods/Carbs (Snacks Too) Baked foods such as muffins, cakes, breads, donuts, croissants, rolls, cookies, danishes, scones, pie, etc… The types of foods most people eat in the morning when they’re in a rush, or with their coffee or at work as a snack… These are all bad because they contain hydrogenated and saturated fats, as well as dairy. Not to mention, they’re high in simple carbohydrates and sugars. “Bad” fats increase cholesterol. “Bad” fats + carbs/sugar REALLY increase your cholesterol and lead to numerous health issues. The combination is super unhealthy. Under this same category -- “Snack Foods” such as chips, pretzels, crackers and similar items are almost as bad as these bakes foods. 7 Ways to Optimize your Cholesterol

11:16
“My doctor says my LDL cholesterol is really high and he’s concerned,” is this week’s house call question. “Now you’re saying that I should eat more fat, which should improve my cholesterol. I thought fat was the last thing I should be eating with high cholesterol.” I know how confusing cholesterol and dietary fat has become. The media, many scientists, and even doctors still disseminate outdated research on nutrition. The reality is, most of us have little understanding about our cholesterol levels in our blood and the whole topic is much more complicated than we thought.

Cholesterol levels improve in the US - IN60

01:25
From Maryland - Cholesterol levels have improved in the US in the past 20 years, according to a report published in JAMA. Examining nationally representative data from 1988 to 2010, researchers found that average total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels declined over 22 years, with an increase in HDL cholesterol levels as well as cholesterol lowering medications. From Germany - Alcohol dependence may shorten lifespan more than smoking, according to a report published in Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research. Researchers studied over 4,000 adults for 14 years, 149 of whom were alcohol dependent. Results showed that mean age at death for females dependent on alcohol was 60 and 58 for males, both of which are 20 years earlier than the general population. From Denmark - A new report published in the Cochrane Library questions the benefits of routine general health checks. Results of a meta-analysis examining 14 studies and over 180,000 people found that general health checks did not reduce overall deaths, or deaths from heart disease or cancer.

🥛 NEVER Eat These 5 Foods If You Want To Lower High Cholesterol

04:47
How my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Normal-Cholesterol Or you can see the most powerful fruit for lowering cholesterol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYFY4Vl19Fo ======================================= 🥛 NEVER Eat These 5 Foods If You Want To Lower High Cholesterol ======================================= Heart disease is the #1 killer in the world and has been for decades. Many people think that high cholesterol is the cause - but it’s not. It’s just ONE of many factors. Sadly, doctors immediately try to prescribe you cholesterol lowering statin drugs when there’s no need. High AND low cholesterol are both bad for your health. Cholesterol is needed for hormone production and every single cell in your body needs cholesterol - including brain cells. Unfortunately, many people eat what they think are “healthy foods”, but are actually not good for them and are causing high cholesterol levels. So today I’m going to reveal 5 foods you should avoid, especially if you want to have HEALTHY cholesterol levels: 1 - Baked Foods/Carbs Stay away from baked foods like muffins, cakes, breads, donuts, croissants, rolls, cookies, danishes, scones, pie, etc… As well as “packaged” foods such as chips, pretzels, crackers and similar items These are all bad because they contain hydrogenated and saturated fats, as well as dairy. Not to mention, they’re high in simple carbohydrates and sugars. The combination of fats and sugars in these foods increases cholesterol and plaque buildup even more, in addition to higher triglycerides, inflammation, high blood sugar and blood pressure. ALL of these combined is what causes heart disease. 2 - DAIRY I’m a firm believe that regardless of anything you read, you should stay away from dairy or at least limit it. This is because milk is for babies and cow milk is for baby cows. We are the only animals who continue to consume milk products after the initial “baby” stage. It’s NOT natural. Besides, 99% of dairy products are pasteurized, which kills any benefits milk could have. Not to mention, the toxins, hormones and drugs these animals are given are highly concentrated in the milk - which goes inside of YOU! These toxins stress your liver and cause an increase in cholesterol. Remember, 80% of your cholesterol is made IN YOUR LIVER. 3 - Animal Protein The saturated fats and “marble fat” found in meat, pork, poultry and shellfish is horrible for your health and cholesterol levels. I’ve noticed even grass-fed meat and free-range poultry can still cause high cholesterol in some of my patients, especially the “sensitive” ones. Limit your intake and focus more on vegetable proteins and fish - especially wild-caught salmon. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/food-and-nutrition/NU00202 4 - Fast Foods It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, tacos, french fries, pizza or anything else - they’re all high in carbohydrates, hydrogenated, saturated and omega 6 fats, using unhealthy and toxic proteins. It may be easy and good for your wallet because they’re cheap foods -- but it’s bad for your health and cholesterol levels and you’ll pay a higher price later in life. http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Conditions/Cholesterol/PreventionTreatmentofHighCholesterol/Cooking-for-Lower-Cholesterol_UCM_305630_Article.jsp#.WCd_XySlGFU 5 - Eggs Eggs can be good or bad. The heat oxidizes the egg and damages the structure of the fat. However, the egg yolk can actually increase your “good” HDL cholesterol and this is done when you eat the yolk that’s still soft and runny. Raw eggs are great or soft boiled. Make sure it’s organic, pastured, free-range eggs. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. How To Lower Cholesterol Levels With 5 juices and drinks to lower bad cholesterol levels

05:37
How To Lower Cholesterol Levels With 5 juices and drinks to lower bad cholesterol levels Did you know that parsley can help us lower cholesterol? It also helps us lower triglycerides, reduce blood pressure and, as vasodilator, improves circulation. Cholesterol is a lipid that our body needs in certain amounts to work properly. However, sedentary lifestyle and poor diet have led to undue increase in cholesterol levels , resulting in serious health problems and increased risks of heart disease, stroke and other problems. Cholesterol is present in almost all of our body, especially in the nervous system, skin, muscles, liver, intestines and heart. In turn, this is divided into two categories to identify whether it is "bad" cholesterol or "good" cholesterol, LDL or HDL respectively. Bad cholesterol is the product of a diet rich in fried foods, sweets, artificial products, fats, or sausages, among others. For its part, good cholesterol or HDL is the one that is responsible for collecting bad cholesterol from the blood and transport it to the liver to be eliminated. Precisely this is what makes it "good" because it is responsible for helping to eliminate excess bad cholesterol present in the body. If after the last clinical tests the doctor determined that your cholesterol levels are high, perhaps it is time to consider some juices and home-made drinks that can help you control this problem to reduce the likelihood of its possible consequences. Cholesterol Levels LDL - HDL

02:00
To determine the normal levels of cholesterol in the blood, see description of cholesterol levels as follows: Less than 200 mg per dl It is a measure of normal cholesterol levels. That is the amount of total cholesterol LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), and triglycerides less than 200 mg per dl, thus heart disease will not snoop us. But that does not mean you continue to eat fatty foods that you know, (wah still normal, free to eat anything) remains set diet and exercising In the range of 200-239 mg per dl Including cholesterol levels are sufficient. If it's your cholesterol levels are in the range of 200-239 mg per dl, you should check to a laboratory to determine the details of the levels of LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. More than 240 mg per dl High-risk cholesterol levels. Why is that, because a person with a measure cholesterol levels are likely to develop heart disease. Normal levels of HDL cholesterol HDL levels normal for men ranges between 40-50 mg per dl, and between 20-60 mg per dl for women. If higher levels of HDL, the less the risk of heart disease. Normal levels of LDL cholesterol Conversely, the fewer the levels of LDL in the blood, the less risk of heart disease. In general, LDL levels are divided into the following categories; less than 100 mg per dl = very good Between 100-129 mg per dl = normal Between 130-159 mg per dl = sufficient Between 160-189 mg per dl = high more than 190 mg per dl = very high cholesterol levels by age cholesterol levels normal cholesterol levels in food

💉 This Is Why Low Cholesterol Is BAD For Your Health

03:44
Discover the REAL cause of high cholesterol and a simple formula my parent’s have used since 1999 to lower their cholesterol naturally: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/HealthyCholesterol Or you can watch this video with the worst foods for high cholesterol: http://drsam.co/yt/5WorstFoods References 1. Psychosomatic Medicine 2000;62 2. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5635a2.htm 3. http://content.onlinejacc.org/cgi/content/short/50/5/409 4. http://www.alz.org/we_can_help_cholesterol.asp 5. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1884568/ 6. http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/homocysteine-risk 7. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2016/04/20/cholesterol-myths.aspx ======================================= 💉 Why Low Cholesterol Is BAD For Your Health ======================================= The other day I got an email from Josephine and she asked: “Dr. Sam - I got off the cholesterol lowering drugs (I felt HORRIBLE on them!!!) and I’ve been using your CholesLo now for 6 months. My Cholesterol levels went from 227 down to 191. This is a good start, thank you. How do I get it below 150? Should I increase the dosage?” So the problem here is that many people, including doctors … try to really lower their cholesterol as much as possible. For example, I have a friend who takes 80 mgs of Lipitor daily, a cholesterol lowering statin. His cholesterol is 121 and his doctor is happy with this. however, this is crazy and it explains why my friend is depressed, has lost muscle, has memory problems and has no sex drive. Cholesterol is GOOD for you. It has many health benefits. In fact, “low” cholesterol, which I think is anything less than 150… is linked to: Memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease 4 Depression and an increase in suicide rates 1,2 Increase your risk for cancer and Parkinson’s disease 3 “Low drive” - physical, sexual and emotional. 5 So here’s what you want: Healthy cholesterol levels -- between 150 to 220. I know everyone tries to get it below 200, but it’s okay to be a little “higher”. Ideal range is about 170-190. Optimal HDL/LDL ratios -- What you should care more about is your “good’ HDL and “bad” LDL levels. These are known as lipoproteins -- fats combined with proteins. And your goal is to have higher HDL and lower “small density” LDL particles. Lower Triglycerides -- Simply stated, this is “fat in the blood”. A little bit of “fat” is normal for energy, but too much and things start to “clog” up in your arteries. Lower Homocysteine -- This is an amino acid in your blood and it’s a major risk factor to heart disease.6 Most doctors, especially in the US, still don’t test for this. But for sure you want this lower. Healthy Liver Function -- most people don’t know, but almost 80% of your cholesterol is formed in your liver, NOT from the foods you eat.7 So you want to make sure your liver is clean, strong and healthy. So, total cholesterol is just ONE factor for having “healthy lipid” levels. And again, you don’t want it too low, which is why drugs just make this situation much worse. They are too powerful and just shut down everything. Additionally, the other 4 factors I mentioned, when combined with healthy cholesterol levels, DRAMATICALLY reduce your risk for a heart attack or stroke -- and THAT’S the secret! And this is exactly what I did for my own parents back in 1999. You can get all the details, what we learned, the REAL cause of high cholesterol and the best and easiest solutions. Just click the link below in the description area and watch the short video, “copy the formula” and lower your own cholesterol, naturally - without drugs or crazy diets. ======================================== Thank you for watching. The first “commercially” available, FDA approved statin was introduced over 30 years ago (lovastatin 1997) and this was formulated based on a natural substance, that I’ll reveal to you in a minute. The most popular ones that you’ve probably heard of are Lipitor (Atorvastatin), Crestor (Rosuvastatin) and Zocor (Simvastatin). Muscle pain AND damage. Just keep in mind that your body, including your HEART is functional ONLY because of your muscles. Liver Damage 80% of your cholesterol is made within the liver, NOT from the foods you eat. These drugs go inside your liver, prevent the formation of cholesterol and in the process, DAMAGE your liver. Elevated Blood Sugar and Type 2 Diabetes One of the worst things for again and every problem in your body is high blood sugar and insulin levels. Neurological Problems Sure, it causes depression, anxiety, panic attacks, worry, etc., etc. I’m not even going to get into arthritis, elevated blood pressure and probably the WORST problem of all - hormonal imbalances. Natural Alternatives So let’s get right to it, I’ll make this quick. First, your goal is NOT to have “low” cholesterol, you want HEALTHY cholesterol levels. Additionally and more importantly, you ALSO want optimal ratios of your HDL (“good” cholesterol/lipoprotein) and LDL (“bad” cholesterol/lipoprotein). Well, that’s from Red Yeast Rice, which is a common food in Asia. The natural form of this extract, in small doses, has all the positive “cholesterol lowering” benefits, but without the negatives of the synthetic drugs. Other Cholesterol Optimizing Herbs Other clinically proven, natural herbal extracts that promote health cholesterol levels and balanced lipid levels, which are: Artichoke Leaf Extract Phytosterols Complex Garlic Policosanol Instead of taking thyroid drugs, I suggest taking Guggulsterones (10% Pure Extract; E and Z) Iodine (Kelp Extract) Cleanse Your Liver As stated earlier, most people don’t know that 80% of your cholesterol is created within your body, by your liver… and NOT from the foods you eat. This is why many times, the change in your diet doesn’t make dramatic improvements in cholesterol levels. Thus, the stronger your liver, the easier your body will eliminate and detox “excess cholesterol” from your blood. The irony is that ALL drugs, especially statins, cause liver damage and thus, will eventually increase your cholesterol levels. But, since this is almost impossible for most people, I suggest you take Milk Thistle (80% Extract) NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) - which also boost your immune system. R+ Alpha Lipoic Acid (r+ ALA) - which also helps lower your blood sugar. Reduce Homocysteine Levels All doctors are so focused on improving cholesterol to help you avoid heart disease, a heart attack or stroke -- that they forget (or don’t KNOW!) about something super important and that’s your Homocysteine Levels. In fact, researchers now believe that testing homocysteine levels is over 47% more accurate at predicting heart disease, than checking cholesterol. The cool part is that you can easily and quickly improve Homocysteine levels by simply taking a specific ratio of certain B-Vitamins Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL) Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) Folate (as 5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)) Vitamin B5 [Pantesin® d-Pantethine (special form of B5)] Reduce Inflammation Finally, one of the leading causes of many illnesses and diseases is inflammation. And there are a few ingredients that’ll help reduce it, 3 of my favorites are: Turmeric (95% curcuminoids Extract) Ginger (10% extract) Mixed Vit. E - Tocotrienols (90% Delta &10% Gamma Tocotrienols) ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. How Do We Know that Cholesterol Causes Heart Disease?

What would happen if you randomized babies at birth to a lifetime of low cholesterol levels? Nature did it for us! In this video I introduce the concept of Mendelian randomization. (All proceeds Dr. Greger receives from the sales of his books, DVDs, and speaking engagements go to support the 501c3 nonprofit that runs NutritionFacts.org.) If you don’t know your cholesterol, you should get it checked—maybe even starting in childhood. See my last video, Should All Children Have their Cholesterol Checked? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/should-all-children-have-their-cholesterol-checked). What if you do get tested and your doctors tells you not to worry because your cholesterol’s “normal.” Having a normal cholesterol in the society where it’s normal to drop dead of heart attack (the #1 killer of men and women!) r is not necessarily a good thing. See my video When Low Risk Means High Risk (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/when-low-risk-means-high-risk). Check out Optimal Cholesterol Level (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/optimal-cholesterol-level) to find out where you should be. OK, but what if your doctor tells you that your LDL is large and fluffy? See my video Does Cholesterol Size Matter? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/Does-Cholesterol-Size-Matter). 💗 Dr. Reveals The REAL Cause of High Cholesterol

05:55
Discover the REAL cause of high cholesterol and a simple formula my parent’s have used since 1999 to lower their cholesterol naturally. 💗 http://drsam.co/yt/NoMoreCholesterol You can also watch this video on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYFY4Vl19Fo Refferences: 1. https://www.lowestmed.com/top-50-prescription-drugs-filled/ 2. https://www.cdc.gov/dhdsp/data_statistics/fact_sheets/fs_heart_disease.htm ======================================= 💗 Dr. Reveals The REAL Cause of High Cholesterol ======================================= Did you know that the #1 drug prescribed in America this year was a statin drug for lowering cholesterol?1 In fact, in the top 10 most often prescribed drugs, TWO of them were cholesterol lowering.1 Additionally, for the past 20+ years, these cholesterol lowering statins have been the most often prescribed drugs and biggest money makers! Yet, the rate of heart disease has NOT gone down in the past 2 decades. In fact, it keeps going higher and higher.2 And the older you are, the worst the statistics are.2 And this includes both men AND women! So the question is: Why are things only getting worse, when more and more people are taking these “cholesterol lower drugs”? Why aren’t these drugs working to save lives? What’s the REAL cause of high cholesterol and can you fix it, naturally? So to make a long story short, back in 1998 both my parents were prescribed these toxic, statin drugs. During that year they felt so horrible with all the side-effects… so I got them off the drugs and really pushed a natural lifestyle. They were already eating well, but I turned it up a notch and got super strict. My dad has always exercised, but I increased it with him and added it with my mom. The good news is that there cholesterol levels did improve, but not by much. And that’s when their doctors said “see, you need to get back on the drugs”. But I refused! I had to find a solution And I mention this story because if you’ve had similar challenges yourself and haven’t gotten the results you were hoping for and you’re confused or frustrated - you’re not alone. In fact, this is typical … And what I discovered during the next few months when researching this topic, because I was new to it back then,... Is that the REAL cause of high cholesterol is the negative change in your hormones, due to aging. It happens to women almost instantly, because of menopause… While more gradually with men. And this explains why young people in their teens and 20’s …. eat junk, don’t rest enough or even exercise and yet, their cholesterol levels are still healthy … This is because they have good hormone levels, which quickly helps eliminate excess cholesterol and more importantly, repairs your organs and blood vessels. But don’t worry, or lose hope and think you can’t fix this because you’re getting older …I’ll show you in a minute that you can easily and quickly fix your cholesterol problems, naturally … without drugs, restrictive diets or crazy exercise programs. So keep watching… The “High Cholesterol” Myth However, the other problem with these cholesterol lowering drugs is that they only focus on “lowering cholesterol”. You don’t want that. Cholesterol has many benefits. Low cholesterol can be just as bad as high. Low cholesterol causes depression, low sex drive and earlier death. What you want to do is improve all of your lipids and the ratios. This includes having HEALTHY cholesterol levels (not low or high) Optimized HDL/LDL ratios Lower fatty Triglycerides Improved Homocysteine levels. etc. Blame It On Your Liver The next problem with aging is that our livers aren’t as strong as they used to be. Getting older, taking prescription drugs, alcohol, toxicity in our foods and so forth, all make the liver and kidneys weaker. And most people don’t know, but 80% of your cholesterol is made IN your liver!... it’s NOT from the foods you eat. This is why diet changes don’t usually make a big improvement. The problem is INTERNAL! So in addition to improving your lipid levels and ratios, you ALSO want to also detox, cleanse, repair and strengthen your liver. Here’s How To Fix Things As I learned more and more, I started implementing all of these changes with my parents. I basically gave them specific nutrients that an “aging” and “mature” body needs, so it can help heal itself from within … naturally! Remember, your body is a self cleaning and self healing organism … IF you give it what it requires! ======================================== Thank you for watching. Follow us on Twitter: @foods4health1 Recipes4Health: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2bZhXBHIb51n1fE3VWPmcQ/videos To learn more about the health benefits of food, visit: http://www.benefitsoffood.blogspot.com Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is found throughout our entire body and made by our liver. It is used by our bodies to make bile acids, vitamin D and also plays a role in maintaining hormone levels. For our bodies to function properly, it is important that we have healthy levels of cholesterol. When we have high cholesterol levels and more cholesterol in our blood than is needed, this can be problematic, and lead to health complications. High cholesterol levels are especially troublesome since its symptoms are not easily detected, and they will have to be checked by your doctor. Having high cholesterol levels can lead to a number of different ailments, including plaque build up i the arteries, gallstones, heart attacks, heart disease and decreased blood flow and circulation. Fortunately, we can make dietary changed can decrease high cholesterol levels, along with a change in lifestyle and exercise. Lets discuss some foods that can help to decrease cholesterol levels in the body. 1. First, almonds can help to lower cholesterol levels in the body. Not only that, but they work to reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol while raising “good” HDL cholesterol and are also a great source of healthy unsaturated fats. As well, almonds work to make LDL cholesterol less likely to oxidize. When it does oxidize, this leads to a clogging of the arteries and restricts blood flow to important organs.Try not to overeat almonds for these benefits. 2. Oatmeal can also be helpful for lowering high cholesterol levels when consumed consistently. Oats are a great source of soluble fibre. This fibre forms a gel when you eat it that helps to prevent the absorption of cholesterol into the bloodstream. You can also add fibre rich nuts or fruit like apples to increase the fibre levels of this cholesterol friendly food. 3. Olive oil is also beneficial for lowering high cholesterol levels. As we have discussed in previous videos, this oil is great for your overall heart heath. It is packed with antioxidants and monounsaturated fats that will lower LDL cholesterol and increase HDL cholesterol as studies have indicated. As well, olive oil is a great source of phenolics, a plant substance that can help prevent the blood from clotting. 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil a day is all you need for these benefits. 4. Blueberries are an incredible superfood that provide many nutrients and health benefits. One of these benefits is that they can help to keep our arteries clear and prevent clogging by reducing LDL cholesterol in the blood. This is because blueberries work to promote and support the overall function of our liver, which can work to eliminate and remove unneeded cholesterol from our bodies. 5. High cholesterol levels can also be decreased if you consume tomatoes on a consistent basis. They contain great amounts of lycopene which may reduce LDL cholesterol levels in the body. Research has indicated that when we consume lycopene-rich foods like tomatoes, it can inhibit overall LDL production, and also help break down this fat so that is does not build up in the arteries. 6. Lastly, avocados are great for our heart health and also reduce bad cholesterol levels in the body. They are considered a superfood by many individuals. They contain great amounts of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that not only reduce LDL cholesterol, but also reduce triglycerides and increase healthy cholesterol. They also contain healthy amounts of antioxidants and nutrients which will help to promote our overall health. Thank you for watching the video! Please like, comment and share. Dark Chocolate For Bad Cholesterol Level

10:02
A high LDL cholesterol level is medically known as hypercholesterolemia. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over one-third of American adults have high levels of LDL or bad cholesterol. This increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and heart attacks. People of all ages, ethnicities and genders can have high cholesterol. #, Dark Chocolate. Dark chocolate can also effectively reduce bad cholesterol and improve the level of good cholesterol in the blood. According to a 2013 study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the component theobromine in dark chocolate is mainly responsible for its HDL cholesterol-raising effect. The high level of antioxidants and flavonoids in dark chocolate prevent blood platelets from sticking together and keep the arteries unclogged. This in turn reduces the risk of heart attacks or strokes. Eat 1 or 2 small pieces of dark chocolate with at least 60 percent cocoa on a regular basis. 5 Foods To Avoid For High Cholesterol

03:40
Follow us on Twitter: @foods4health1 Recipes4Health: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2bZhXBHIb51n1fE3VWPmcQ/videos To learn more about the health benefits of food, visit: http://www.benefitsoffood.blogspot.com With heart disease on the rise in countries around the world, it is important that we are staying away from foods and food sources that can contribute to high cholesterol and increase the risk of heart disease. If you have high cholesterol or are at risk of developing it, there are foods you will want to avoid so that you can maintain healthy cholesterol levels and improve your overall cardiovascular health. Not only will avoiding these high cholesterol foods help lower your cholesterol levels, but they can also help to reduce inflammation that can reduce the risk of heart disease and also help with weight loss. Now, lets discuss some foods you will want to avoid if you have high cholesterol or want to limit your chances of developing it. 1. First, processed meats such as deli meats and bacon should be avoided for high cholesterol. There have been a number of studies that have shown that processed meats have been associated with elevated cholesterol levels, as well as an increase in cardiovascular disease. Processed meats such as bacon, sausage and hot dogs should all be avoided if you want to reduce your risk of heart disease and lower cholesterol levels. To make matters worse, these processed meats are often high in saturated and trans fats, as well as sodium, which can be a major detriment to your cholesterol levels and overall heart health. 2. You will want to avoid processed vegetable oils as well as they can increase your cholesterol levels. Hydrogenated oils can be especially bad for your cholesterol levels since they contain high levels of trans fats. Many studies have shown that these trans fats increase “bad” LDL cholesterol levels while also lowering “good” HDL cholesterol. Other oils that you may want to avoid when it comes to cholesterol is corn oil and vegetable oil, as these oils can also raise both total and LDL cholesterol levels. 3. Almost everyone enjoyed cookies and other baked goods. However, these high sugar products can wreak havoc on your overall cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels and should be avoided if you want to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Research shows that sugar and added sugars are associated with increased “bad” LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the body. Not only that, but these sugars will lower the “good” HDL cholesterol in your body as well. Baked goods aren’t the only high sugar foods you will want to avoid for high cholesterol, but sweetened drinks such as soda and fruit juices can also lead to undesired cholesterol levels, as well as increase inflammation and the risk of heart disease. 4. Surprising to some, but refined grain products and other refined carbohydrates can also have negative consequences on cholesterol and should be avoided as best you can. Foods such as bagels, white pasta and white bread can all negatively effect your “bad” LDL cholesterol levels. As studies have shown, these refined grains and carbohydrates have a high glycemic index rating, which can significantly raise your cholesterol levels and risk for heart disease. 5. Lastly, if you want to reduce your risk of high cholesterol or if you have high cholesterol currently, you will want to avoid high fat dairy products. High fat milk and dairy products contain fatty acids, and many of these products can have a negative impact on your cholesterol. The saturated and trans fats found in these dairy products can increase total plasma cholesterol levels, especially “bad” LDL cholesterol. As well, you will want to avoid these dairy products as they will not only increase cholesterol levels, but also increase your risk of heart disease, inflammation and weight gain. Lower Cholesterol Naturally - US Doctors' Testimonies

04:30
http://cholesterol-lowering.info Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the Number 1 killer in the world (killing more people than cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS and accidents combined). Here are some chilling facts: • CVD kills 3,500 Americans every day or 1.3 million every year - equivalent to the entire population of Philadelphia or Phoenix! • 1 in 3 Americans will die due to cardiovascular disease. • Women are 4 to 6 times more likely to die of heart disease than of breast cancer. • The leading cause of cardiovascular disease is high cholesterol. • 105 million Americans suffer from high cholesterol. • Improving HDL, LDL, and triglycerides at the same time is the most effective way to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease. Doctors normally prescribe medication to help patients lower their high cholesterol levels. These medicines, called statins (like Lipitor and Zocor) are somewhat effective at lowering LDL (the bad cholesterol) but they also introduce dangerous side effects such as memory loss, sense of imbalance, muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis), kidney failure and liver failure, which of course results in death. Bios Life is a patented, clinically-proven, natural solution to total cholesterol care. Many doctors, after discovering Bios Life, have switched their patients from statin medications to this natural product. Some of these doctors share their testimonies in this video, which was filmed a few years ago. Since then, the Bios Life 2 which is mentioned in this video has been upgraded to Bios Life Complete. Whereas the older Bios Life 2 had one mechanism to lower bad cholesterol, the newer Bios Life Complete has four! The new Bios Life has been clinically proven to do the following: Lower LDL (bad cholesterol) Increase HDL (good cholesterol) Lower Triglycerides (fat in your blood) Help control Diabetes by regulating blood sugar levels Apart from all these life-saving benefits, Bios Life has one main "side effect" - weight loss - so this is really a "side benefit"! A recent study presented at the American Heart Association Annual Conference concluded Bios Life reduced the post-prandial glucose levels 28% and HbA1c levels 15%; indicating Bios Life provides a natural option to improve diabetes management. Dr. Berg's New Book: https://shop.drberg.com/drbergs-new-body-type-guide Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about why cholesterol can go up on a low fat and cholesterol diet. Your body makes cholesterol, a lot. It bakes 3000 mg per day. When you give it less it makes more. The key is to understand cholesterol. If it's so dangerous, then why does the body make it? Cholesterol has a purpose of providing raw material for hormones, nerve and brain tissue, to make cell membranes, and also to provide a bandaid against damage in the body, esp. your arteries. It may be at the crime scene, but its not the criminal. In fact, there are way more damage to the body on low cholesterol than high. What Is HDL Cholesterol & Why it's Called The Good Cholesterol?

03:17
►http://drsam.co/yt/RaiseYourGoodCholesterol - See how my parents increases their good cholesterol 100% naturally and how you can do the same starting today! =============================================== What exact is HDL cholesterol and why does my doctor want this cholesterol to be HIGH? I thought cholesterol was bad and it needs to be low? =============================================== First, cholesterol is NOT “bad”. Cholesterol is very important in the creation of cell walls, your hormones, and digestive juices. Cholesterol is also needed for improving your mood and a positive sense of well-being. This is why cholesterol lowering statin drugs have so many negative side-effects, because they lower cholesterol too low. In fact, having “low” cholesterol levels can be just as bad as having “high” cholesterol. Your HDL (high-density lipoprotein) is considered the "good" cholesterol because it can help decrease the cholesterol buildup in the walls of your arteries, that causes narrowing of their openings. While LDL (low-density lipoprotein), is considered the “bad” cholesterol because when your LDL level is high, it can start to form a plaque-like substance on the walls of your cardiovascular system (arteries and veins), blocking the natural flow of blood and leaving you at severe risk for a heart attack and stroke The “good” HDL basically helps clean up your “bad” LDL. Generally speaking, the higher your HDL, the better. An easy way to remember this is to think of the “L” in LDL as LOW and the “H” in HDL as HIGH And thus your goal is to have lower LDL and higher HDL For example, after giving my mom some specific herbs that I’ll tell you about in a minute, I was able to raise her “good” HDL from 52 mg/dL to 94 mg/dL Her cardiologist and I are very happy because sometimes my mom’s TOTAL cholesterol goes in the “borderline high” range (200-239 mg/dL). However, we’re okay with that because her “good” HDL is so high and thus, very protective. High cholesterol levels | Set high cholesterol naturally

High cholesterol levels | Set high cholesterol naturally Keeping cholesterol at low and controlled levels requires you to follow a balanced diet, leave bad habits, such as tobacco and alcohol, and exercise regularly. Cholesterol is a type of fat, also known as lipid, found naturally in the body, as it is necessary to perform many vital functions. It exists in the brain, the liver, our nervous system, blood and bile - both in humans and animals. This is why experts recommend avoiding consumption of animal products if a person is diagnosed with high cholesterol. How can you regulate high cholesterol naturally? The liver produces the most cholesterol in the body, while the rest is consumed through our diet. Low-density lipoproteins, known as bad cholesterol or LDL , block our arteries because they are deposited in the artery walls and cause serious cardiovascular problems and other illnesses. The good cholesterol that the body needs is known as HDL or otherwise as a high density lipoprotein and helps remove bad cholesterol that clogs our arteries and liver, making it easier for the body to eliminate it. Although high cholesterol can be caused by various disorders or genetic factors, most people tend to raise it because of poor diet and sedentary lifestyle. So to regulate and prevent high cholesterol , it is important to change some habits and the foods we eat . Foods to regulate high cholesterol. As mentioned earlier, the foods we consume play a very important role in the prevention and regulation of high cholesterol. A healthy diet eliminates bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases HDL levels. High Cholesterol - Simple & Natural Ayurvedic Home Remedies to reduce LDL in the body

02:36
Cholesterol levels rise when there is an excess of fat cells in the blood. Cholesterol is of two types, LDL cholesterol, which is the bad cholesterol, and HDL, which is the good cholesterol. Though cholesterol can result from intake of fatty foods and cakes and pastries, it is very often hereditary. So how does one tackle high cholesterol levels? First and foremost, flush out toxins from the body by consuming at least 2 litres of water daily. Take about 1 tlbsp of coriander seeds. Crush them coarsely. Add these to a glass of water. Drink this mixture daily. Grate a slice of an onion. Squeeze out the juice. Add this to a glass of water or buttermilk. Add a generous pinch of black pepper powder. Drink this every morning. Raw garlic has proved to be very beneficial in controlling cholesterol levels, so consume 2-3 cloves every day. Take 2 tlbsp of oats in a cup and cover with water. Microwave for 1 minute (or cook normally). Add 2 walnuts chopped. Add a tlbsp of chopped dates. Add 5 peppercorns. Now add low fat milk to make it a full cup. Mix well to remove any lumps. Now microwave again for a minute (or cook normally). You can also add some fresh seasonal fruit. Have this for breakfast every day. Avoid foods like red meat, butter, cheese and confectionary items. Remember, cholesterol can lead to other more serious problems, so start addressing it immediately.
