Patients even go through a stage of self-denial. Who can blame them? Conventional medicine paints a rather bleak future for cancer patients and the remedy it offers does nothing to improve their quality of life, nausea and falling hair not to mention. However, the recent breakthroughs in science have allowed a peek into the true nature of cancer, allowing researchers to consider the concept of nutritional care. They are now faced with the idea that preventing and maybe even reversing cancer may not necessarily involve the development of expensive drugs but something already available in nature: food and sunshine! Just the facts If something so powerful is actually available for everyone, why wouldn’t someone take advantage of it? The recent discovery that the body, with the help of vitamin D, possesses the capacity to fight many chronic illnesses has spurred the interest of many researchers – especially on the possibilities the sunshine vitamin can offer with regard to the prevention and reversal of diseases like cancer. A brief rundown of some facts, revealed by recent studies, can give us a perspective on how vitamin D can help. 1. Vitamin D slashes cancer risk by 77 percent. A study was conducted involving 1, 179 healthy Nebraskan women who were divided into a control group and a placebo group. In the four years the study was conducted, the group who was receiving vitamin D and calcium supplements revealed a 60 percent decrease in cancers as compared to the placebo group. 2. Vitamin D can prevent cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, 80 percent of cancer cases can be prevented. Having a healthy and balanced diet can prevent cancer. An example would be a diet that is low in refined sugar and processed meat and high in fruits, leafy vegetables and vitamin D from dietary sources or the sun. Studies have shown that a diet high in animal products and dairy that contain hormones and saturated fat cause breast cancer. 3. Sunshine offers powerful healing. In a study conducted by the French in 2011 on 60,000 post menopausal women, it was discovered that women with increased levels of vitamin D obtained through diet and supplement reduced their risk of breast cancer. These vitamin D levels received a great boost when these women were exposed to actual sunshine. Which leads us to suspect that… 4. There are private interests involved. The medical establishment’s dismissive take on vitamin D and its effects on cancer cannot seriously be taken in the light of new research supporting the effect of vitamin D on cancer. One cannot help but be suspicious of this rather cold shoulder treatment, especially when non-profit organizations that supposedly support the active search for a cure have financial ties with pharmaceutical companies, mammography equipment companies and other organizations that profit from cancer. Moreover, research on vitamin D is a threat to the cancer industry because it shows a way of dealing with cancer for free. 5. Chemotherapy does not work. One of the current remedies offered by conventional medicine when dealing with cancer is chemotherapy. Let it be said once and for all: chemotherapy does not have any positive effect on cancer. There is no scientific evidence that supports such fact. It shrinks tumors, but it doesn’t initiate the healing that needs to take place to reverse cancer and to stay cancer free. What’s more, its side effects are well documented – effects that worsen the patient’s condition instead of improving it.

6 Serious Illnesses Linked to Vitamin D Deficiency

The benefits of vitamin D may range from healthy bones and muscles to strong heart function. But do vitamin D deficiency diseases exist, too? Many people are aware of the dangers of overexposure to the sun. Skin cancer is at the top of the list of those dangers, and while we need to educate ourselves and understand how to properly protect ourselves from damage, caused by too much time spent in direct contact with the sun, we can’t simply avoid it altogether. Not getting enough sun has health risks associated with it too. That’s because when our bodies come in contact with sunlight, our skin translates it into a very important vitamin: vitamin D. In turn, once our body has vitamin D, it becomes a hormone that plays an important role in our bone structure, immune system, and even our mental health. Although you can take supplements or have a more complete diet to increase your vitamin D levels, the best way is to spend some much needed time outside. Some health officials estimate that 90 percent of Americans suffer from a vitamin D deficiency. So, let’s look at what happens when you don’t get enough vitamin D. 1. High blood pressure 2. Cancer 3. Diabetes 4. Rheumatoid arthritis 5. Asthma 6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x75jr1zDgSk The bones need vitamin D because it encourages the use of calcium in the body. It is usually connected with rickets, a disease caused by the deficiency of vitamin D, which results in softening bones and bow legs. But, recently, studies have shown that this vitamin is crucial to the fight against many health issues. Subscribe and watch this video until the end to know the complete information. If you have a vitamin D insufficiency, you’ll feel pain in the bones and muscle weakness. But, often you can feel no pain and yet be subjected to many health risks. Scientists have connected these 8 illnesses with chronic vitamin D insufficiency: 1. Asthma. While the main cause of asthma remains unknown, it is proven that lack of vitamin D has a great part of it. This vitamin decreases the fierceness and predominance of asthma symptoms. Also, it defeats the infections that cause narrowing of the air passage, thus hardening the breathing. 2. High blood pressure. The Journal of Investigative Medicine has published a study that claims that people with hypertension live better with the increased value of vitamin D. Moreover, a marker of this vitamin is known to balance the inflammation of the blood vessels and other signs of high blood pressure. 3. Gastrointestinal diseases. The deficiency of vitamin D is often connected with some conditions like Crohn’s disease and another disease of the gastrointestinal tract. Studies have shown that the Inflammatory bowel disease rates are higher in the places where the natural exposure to sunlight is lower and vice versa. 4. Viral infections. It is common knowledge that the viral infections are more frequent in winter when the sunlight and ultraviolet B ray’s exposure are at their lowest rate. This, together with a number of studies, indicates that vitamin D increases the immunity and the flu-fighting potential of the body. 5. Type 2 diabetes. A study, published in the journal AIDS, has shown that the symptoms of metabolic syndrome are noticeably worse as the case of HIV when there is a lack of vitamin D in the system. Also, this study has shown that if you expose yourself regularly to the natural sunlight, you will have lower chances to develop diabetes type 2. 6. Dental cavities. It was known for years that the lack of sunlight exposure causes health problems. Recently, scientists have connected the vitamin D deficiency with poor dental health such as dental caries. 7. Rheumatoid arthritis. A study in Canada has shown a connection between vitamin D deficiency and rheumatoid arthritis. People that have the lowest blood levels are the most exposed to this kind of disease. So, if you have this condition, you should expose yourself more to the sunlight. 8. Cancer. Any type of cancer is more eminent with people that have a lack of vitamin D. On the other hand, those who have the optimal level of this vitamin are considerably less likable to develop cancer. Foods that provide vitamin D include. Fatty fish, like tuna, mackerel, and salmon. Foods fortified with vitamin D, like some dairy products, orange juice, soy milk, and cereals. Beef liver. Cheese. Egg yolks. So, these are some foods you can include in your daily diet to increase your vitamin D Values. Thanks for watching. Please like, comment, subscribe and share with your friends and family. Why is vitamin b17 illegal? does b17 really cure cancer? | By #Weight loss tips and tricks

05:46
Other health issues? click HERE: https://goo.gl/jH1hEf For more informations visit: http://hyperurl.co/WeightLossTips ********************************************************************Laetrile, or vitamin B17, has been a well-known natural cancer treatment for years. Dr. Antonio Jimenez discusses how this works in cancer cells and how it can not pose a danger to normal, healthy cells. Find out how laetrile kills cancer cells! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8KPhT2xGL4 ******************************************************************** It has been becoming increasingly apparent in recent years that there are a number of alternative cancer treatment methods which have proven to either eradicate cancer cells on their own, or even assist with the more traditional methods of chemotherapy and radiation. Many of these alternative treatments do not get the recognition that they deserve from either mainstream media or mainstream medicine. In fact, in many states alternative cancer treatments have been banned or made illegal and, according to the law, one can even be forced to undergo chemotherapy against one’s will. It is important to note, however, that choosing one of these natural, alternative cancer treatments does require you to do a lot of research, because there is very little funding, or merit, allotted to their study. The cancer industry does not want to look at these alternative methods and spends very little of their funds informing people about preventative medicine. In fact, one particular vitamin that is believed to be extremely beneficial in fighting cancer cells has actually been banned by the FDA and is illegal for treatment in the United States, and that is Laetrile. Laetrile contains one of the greatest concentrations of vitamin B-17 on the planet, and it can be found in the often-overlooked seed of a popular fruit: the apricot. Apricot seeds can be found beneath the hard pit inside the apricot, and many people are unaware that they are both edible and delicious, and that they contain a cancer-fighting agent called amygdalin within. Amygdalin contains glucose, benzaldehyde, and cyanide, and it is the latter which is believed to be the active cancer-fighting ingredient of Laetrile. It is important to note, however, that cyanide is actually toxic to all cells, which makes the overall toxicity of Laetrile a concern. Yet studies suggest that Laetrile is more toxic to cancer cells than to normal cells. After all, your chances of getting cyanide poisoning from apple seeds or almonds are extremely slim, and we mustn’t forget that cancer is toxic to begin with. (And the last time I checked, so are chemotherapy and radiation.) You May Be Asking The Following Question Question: “If B17 is so powerful and helpful towards cancer elimination, then why is it not prescribed by modern physicians as a treatment?” Simple Answer: “A control for cancer is known, and it comes from nature, but it is not widely available to the public because it cannot be patented, and therefore is not commercially attractive to the pharmaceutical industry.” — G. Edward Griffin. Dr. Sugiura’s Research Dr. Kanematsu Suigura spent the majority of his career at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and has authored more than 250 papers; he has also received numerous awards, one of which included the highest honors from the Japan Medical Association for outstanding contributions in cancer research. He specifically studied Laetrile and discovered that it showed very positive results with preventing malignant lung tumors in laboratory mice. In control groups which received only plain saline, the lung tumors spread to between 80 and 90 percent of the mice, but in those given Laetrile, the tumors only spread to between 10 and 20 percent. 7 Signs of Low Vitamin D (How Many do You Know?)

07:46
So many people in the industrialized nations are deficient in Vitamin D, it is truly an epidemic. When you consider that it is not just a vitamin, but also a pro-hormone, you can begin to understand the importance of this deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to weakened bones, yes, but it can also lead to weakened immune systems as well. The risk of cancer, and many other illnesses, increases with a dropping vitamin D level. The best way to get Vitamin D is from the Sun and from your diet. If you live too far north for the Sun, and can't get enough in your diet, then you should supplement. Having a healthy Vitamin D level is very important to your good health and longevity. *Vitamin D & Weight Loss Video: https://youtu.be/M0GBrrt2YWI * ------- Join me and let's optimize your health! ------- A Good Vit D Supplement: https://amzn.to/2I1UFmz Vit D + Vit K2 Supplement: https://amzn.to/2rry7FC Get Dr Berry's Best-Selling Book: LIES MY DOCTOR TOLD ME 📕--▶ http://a.co/g53H5g7 FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/kendberry.md/ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/kendberry.md/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/KenDBerryMD Thanks so much to Mary C., Lisa G., Paul R., Doyle R., Robyn D., Jeff P., Joe W., and John C. for being generous Patrons, and helping make this video possible… ▶You can help too, by becoming a Patron: https://goo.gl/kJJYws 🆕 Patron-Only FaceBook Page: https://goo.gl/XLVjmc (you may have to type a code to prove you're human) 📳Speak with Dr. Berry face-to-face about medical questions you might have using eVisit: https://goo.gl/7ibtW5 Ken D Berry, MD, FAAFP, is a Board Certified Family Physician and Fellow in The American Academy of Family Physicians. Study Vitamin D Kills Cancer Cells ABC News

04:21
Study Vitamin D Kills Cancer Cells ABC News It’s true – vitamin D kills cancer cells! Best of all, here is a medical report you can’t afford to ignore. Scientists have recently uncovered a so called experimental approach to treating inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), a rare and aggressive form of the disease. The new approach uses the active form of vitamin D3, calcitriol, which is delivered by quantum dots to IBC tumors. Quantum dots are engineered, miniscule delivery vehicles which can maneuver directly to a tumor site. Rannsókn um að D vítamín drepi krabbameinsfrumur Low vitamin D levels could be a death sentence Breast cancer patients with low levels of vitamin D have more aggressive tumors and poorer outcomes, a new study finds. Experts say the new findings support what many oncologists have long suspected. “There has been suspicion that vitamin D is related to breast health in some way, although the particular pathway is still unknown,” noted Dr. Laurie Kirstein, a breast surgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. “Many oncologists are already following vitamin D levels in their breast cancer patients, and recommending supplements for low levels,” added Kirstein, who was not involved in the new study. Researchers Jeremy Bonor, Rachel Schaefer, and Ania Nohe wanted to see if they could deliver high concentrations of vitamin D to tumors in mice using quantum dots. By the way, women with a low level of vitamin D at the time of diagnosis are 94 percent more likely to have their cancer spread and 73 percent less likely to reach the 10 year survival mark. Nanotechnology works at the molecular level, and quantum dots are tiny light-emitting crystals that can be engineered to seek out a particular disease or type of cell. The quantum dots were used as an experiment with mice. So the advice of the medical experts is don’t run to the doctor for this yet, as it may take years to make this available to the public. But, sunlight is available now to boost immunity; protect us from colds; the flu and now even cancer. So, let’s be honest, it can’t hurt to add (if needed) a high quality, vitamin D supplement to our daily routine. Help us spread the word – share this article with family and friends.

Can cancer be caused by Vitamin D deficiency

07:54
There are 3 types of cancers on which studies are done and being done to find out vitamin d deficiency's role in cancer. Colon cancer is cancer of the large intestine (colon), which is the final part of your digestive tract As per European study People with higher levels of vitamin D appear to be significantly less likely to develop bowel or colon cancer. Researchers found that people with higher vitamin d in their blood had a 40% reduced risk of bowel or colon cancer compared to those with lowest level of vitamin d. Few studies have shown that vitamin d has anti-tumor activity. On mouse model test of colon cancer, vitamin d has shown lower tumor burden. One of two major types of lung cancer that can affect smokers and non-smokers. Nearly 80-85% lung cancers are non small cell lung cancer (nsclc) Research suggests that women with low vitamin d blood levels have higher risk of breast cancer Vitamin d may play role in controlling normal breast cell growth. 10:22
Signs and Symptoms You May Have a Vitamin D Deficiency. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is involved in many essential body processes and functions. Produced in the body with the help of ultraviolet rays from sunlight, this vitamin is important for boosting the immune system, reducing inflammation, promoting cell growth, supporting neuromuscular functions and more. When you do not get enough sunlight or eat foods rich in vitamin D, you are at a higher risk of suffering from vitamin D deficiency or vitamin d cancer . Please note: The content provided below and elsewhere on this video is not intended nor should it be construed as providing professional medical or nutritional advice. Do not rely on information provided on this video about vitamin d deficiency symptoms for your health problems. instead, consult a qualified medical professional for advice and get vitamin d foods. Here are 10 warning signs that you may have a low vitamin d. 01:02 Impaired Immunity. 02:05 Bone Pain. 03:09 Tiredness and Fatigue. 04:07 Mood Swings. 05:06 Psoriasis 06:03 Digestive Problems. 07:02 Excessive Sweating. 08:01 High Blood Pressure. 09:08 Overweight or Obese. The most important sign of low vitamin D is weak or impaired immunity, causing you to more easily pick up illnesses or lack foods with vitamin d. Vitamin D supports proper functioning of the T cells that build immunity to help your body fight foreign, invading organisms. A 2011 study published in the Journal of Investigative Medicine highlights that vitamin D helps modulate the innate and adaptive immune responses and its deficiency is associated with increased autoimmunity as well as increased susceptibility to infections. Vitamin D is important for bone so you must find best treatment for vitamin d deficiency or you can get vitamin d supplement, cartilage and muscle function. Lack of adequate vitamin D in the body can cause general muscle pain, muscle cramps and chronic joint pain. Due to low vitamin D, calcium does not reach your skeletal system, thus contributing to bone pains. In fact, its deficiency is also associated with diseases like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. All these health issues have a common symptom – joint pain get vitamin d deficiency test. Your body needs vitamin D for energy. If you are constantly tired without any known reason, get your vitamin D level checked. Low vitamin D leads to fat accumulation. This in turn lowers your metabolism rate and makes you less energetic. A deficiency of the sunshine vitamin can also lead to sudden mood swings. Vitamin D aids production of serotonin, the brain hormone associated with mood elevation and happiness. Increased serotonin can also help lessen the impact of stress and prevent or treat mild depression. Deficiency of vitamin D may also relate to other affective disorders, such as seasonal affective disorder (SAD), premenstrual syndrome and fibromyalgia. Studies have found that some people suffer from mild depression during the winter months, known as SAD, mainly due to lack of sun exposure. Vitamin D deficiency can also contribute to psoriasis, an autoimmune skin disorder. According to the National Psoriasis Foundation, appropriate sun exposure helps slow down the rate of growth and shedding of skin cells. A 2013 study published in the Dermato-endocrinology journal suggests that autoimmunity has been associated with vitamin D deficiency and resistance. This pilot study also concluded that high-dose vitamin D3 therapy might be effective and safe for vitiligo and psoriasis patients. What Are Vitamin D Deficiency Symptoms?

06:05
For more info: https://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Apr-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=vitaminddeficiency In this video I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. Vitamin D Deficiency May Lead To High Cancer Risk

00:52
Vitamin D deficiency is an epidemic nearly everywhere that doesn’t get year-round sunlight and especially with people who work indoors. Many people get seasonal affective disorder during the winter months, but now there’s a new risk. Researchers say that low vitamin D levels may increase the risk for bladder cancer. Since cells activate and respond to vitamin D, this can stimulate an immune response, which can identify and destroy abnormal cells. According to Rosemary Bland, honorary associate professor at the University of Warwick, "More clinical studies are required to test this association, but our work suggests that low levels of vitamin D in the blood may prevent the cells within the bladder from stimulating an adequate response to abnormal cells.” http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2016/11/08/Low-vitamin-D-may-raise-bladder-cancer-risk-Study/1381478629221/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Vitamin D3 Supplementation Treats Prostate Cancer

04:33
Patients with low risk prostate cancer under active surveillance may benefit from vitamin D3 supplementation at 4000 IU per day according to an article in the Journal of Endocrinology Metabolism. In patients with Gleason 6 prostate cancers, those treated with 4000 IU of vitamin D3 for one year, 55% had a decrease in Gleason findings or fewer positive biopsies, 11% were without change, and 34% were somewhat worse. The PSA scores did not change in these patients. Levels of vitamin D less than 20 ng/ml showed a strong correlation with increased risk for death. We know that vitamin D increases differentiation of cancer cells. Besides treating Gleason 6 prostate cancers with vitamin D, there are other approaches that could be of value, such as an alkaline diet, use of modified citrus pectin, flax seed oil, lifestyle strategies, mushrooms, antioxidants, vitamin C and K. There are many articles supporting this approach such as one done by Dean Ornish, MD. 🙌 Amazing Vitamin That STOPS The Growth Of CANCER!

02:57
Medical experts predict that in the US there will be 1.7 million new patients diagnosed with cancer and that is really one sad information. Modern medicine is constantly looking for finding new cures and treatments for this modern plague and recent discoveries declare that one vitamin has connection with one kind of cure. It all about vitamin D. The statistic data show that almost 70% of American children do not consume enough vitamin D and 75% of adult Americans do not get enough of this vitamin daily. Vitamin D is very important and beneficial for the human body and helps in preventing many diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer and diabetes. The daily intake of this vitamin is really very important for health and the most common signs of deficiency are: Pain in bones Chronicle diseases Muscle weakness Depression Sweating Heavy asthma Connive damage particularly in elderly In 2008 one group of researchers from Norway made study with 440 participants with excessive weight. The researchers found out that to those who was given 20 000 and 40 000 IUS vitamin D weekly showed less amount of depression symptoms beside the ones who do not consume it. Many other studies prove the connection of vitamin D and its effectiveness in prevention of cancer. In a study done in 2007, women who were in menopause received certain dose of vitamin D and after 4 years the results showed drastically reduce in the risks of all cancers. Vitamin D has the power to absorb calcium and protect the bone health. It also helps in cardiovascular system, immune system and other important functions to improve. Many medical experts and doctors say that the recommended daily intake of this important vitamin is adjustable. For infants from 0-12 months the dose should be 1000 IU daily and for those aged from 1 to 50 years it should be 600 IU daily. The intake should be best through diet and products like milk, oily fish, tuna, mushrooms, yogurt and orange juice are having it. Spending time in front of the sun is also one good option for receiving it. When you use the oral supplements of intake, it takes at least 2-3 months to be established in the appropriate level of the body. Cancer and Vitamin D deficiency

07:54
Can cancer be caused by vitamin D deficiency There are 3 types of cancers on which studies are done and being done to find out vitamin d deficiency's role in cancer. Vitamin d level also play role in metastasis cancer Vitamin d found to block the growth of cancer tumors. It forces cells to either adapt to the organ or commit cell suicide. Also limits blood supply to tumors and reduces cancer to spread further. Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) About 5 to 30 minutes of sun exposure 2 times every week is enough.(but it also depends on time of year) Too much sun exposure(uv)) is also Linked to risk e.g skin cancer. . Vitamin D fights disease In addition to its primary benefits, research suggests that vitamin D may also play a role in: reducing your risk of multiple sclerosis, according to a 2006 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association decreasing your chance of developing heart disease, according to 2008 findings published in Circulation helping to reduce your likelihood of developing the flu, according to 2010 research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2. Vitamin D reduces depression Research has shown that vitamin D might play an important role in regulating mood and warding off depression. In one study, scientists found that people with depression who received vitamin D supplements noticed an improvement in their symptoms. In another study of people with fibromyalgia, researchers found vitamin D deficiency was more common in those who were also experiencing anxiety and depression. 3. Vitamin D boosts weight loss Consider adding vitamin D supplements to your diet if you’re trying to lose weight or prevent heart disease. You can find a great selection of vitamin D supplements on Amazon.com. In one study, people taking a daily calcium and vitamin D supplement were able to lose more weight than subjects taking a placebo supplement. The scientists said the extra calcium and vitamin D had an appetite-suppressing effect. In another study, overweight people who took a daily vitamin D supplement improved their heart disease risk markers. A number of epidemiologic studies have investigated whether people with higher vitamin D intakes or higher blood levels of vitamin D have lower risks of specific cancers. The results of these studies have been inconsistent, possibly because of the challenges in carrying out such studies. For example, dietary studies do not account for vitamin D made in the skin from sunlight exposure, and the level of vitamin D measured in the blood at a single point in time (as in most studies) may not reflect a person’s true vitamin D status. Also, it is possible that people with higher vitamin D intakes or blood levels are more likely to have other healthy behaviors. It may be one of these other behaviors, rather than vitamin D intake, that influences cancer risk. Several randomized trials of vitamin D intake have been carried out, but these were designed to assess bone health or other non-cancer outcomes. Although some of these trials have yielded information on cancer incidence and mortality, the results need to be confirmed by additional research because the trials were not designed to study cancer specifically. The cancers for which the most human data are available are colorectal, breast, prostate, and pancreatic cancer. Numerous epidemiologic studies have shown that higher intake or blood levels of vitamin D are associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer (7-10). In contrast, the Women’s Health Initiative randomized trial found that healthy women who took vitamin D and calcium supplements for an average of 7 years did not have a reduced incidence of colorectal cancer (11). Some scientists have pointed out that the relatively low level of vitamin D supplementation (10 μg, or 400 IU, once a day), the ability of participants to take additional vitamin D on their own, and the short duration of participant follow-up in this trial might explain why no reduction in colorectal cancer risk was found.

It regulates calcium and phosphorous levels and assists with absorption of other minerals. It's important for developing strong bones and normal levels of vitamin D are associated with a reduced risk of bone fractures and deformities at all ages, especially the young and the old. It's synthesis and metabolism in the body is complicated, requiring activation in the skin from sunlight as well as involvement of the liver and kidneys. The primary source of vitamin D is from production in the skin when exposed to the sun, however some vitamin D is obtained through diet. You may hear it called vitamin D3(cholecalciferol) or vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol). The former being the vitamin D formulation most commonly available for supplementation. In prior studies, a vitamin D deficiency has been linked to depression, multiple sclerosis, alzheimer's and parkinson's disease, reduced sleep quality, cancer, heart health, asthma, diabetes and low testosterone. Many of these studies are preliminary and more research is needed. In general, women are more prone to vitamin D deficiency than men, and it is very common in the elderly.

How Vitamin D Reduces the Risk of Cancer

09:59
Vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin, is a group of fat-soluble secosteroids that have widespread actions throughout the body. This vitamin is responsible for increasing intestinal absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate and zinc. It boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation, regulates numerous cellular pathways, promotes cell growth, supports neuromuscular functions and more. Several recent studies show that vitamin D plays a crucial role in preventing and treating various cancers. In a 2016 study published in PLOS ONE, researchers reported that higher levels of vitamin D – specifically serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D – are associated with a correspondingly reduced risk of cancer. Maintaining the right level of vitamin D can help prevent at least 16 different types of cancer, including breast, colon, lung, pancreatic, ovarian, prostate and bladder cancers. Here’s a look at the role of vitamin D and its impact on different types of cancer. 1. Vitamin D and Breast Cancer Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer diagnosed in women worldwide. A 2006 study published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention reports the positive connection between vitamin D and breast cancer. The study highlighted the anticarcinogenic effect of vitamin D due to its participation in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis in normal and malignant breast cells. Plus, a prospective study published in Cancer Causes and Control in 2013 notes that low serum vitamin D levels in the months preceding diagnosis may predict a high risk of premenopausal breast cancer. In fact, the risk is three times higher in women who have extremely low serum vitamin D levels. Another study published in Anticancer Research in 2014 suggests that patients suffering from breast cancer with high levels of the vitamin in their blood are more likely to survive the disease than patients with low levels. This study included more than 4,000 patients with breast cancer and was conducted between 1966 and 2010. All patients were followed for an average of nine years. This study says that 25-hydroxyvitamin D, a metabolite produced by the body from the ingestion of vitamin D, increases communication between cells by switching on a protein that blocks aggressive cell division. This prevents tumor growth and keeps it from expanding its blood supply. This is the reason for better survival in patients whose vitamin D blood levels are high. 2. Vitamin D and Colon Cancer Colon cancer, also referred to as colorectal or bowel cancer, is the third most common cancer in the United States. An adequate amount of vitamin D in the body can help prevent and reduce the risk of this cancer. The sunshine vitamin helps regulate cell growth, fight inflammation and prevent cancer cells from spreading. In fact, it has been found that colon cancer diagnosis and death rates are lowest in states with the highest mean solar radiation. A 2004 study published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention analyzed several studies and came to the conclusion that 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D and its precursor, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, may aid in the prevention of colorectal cancer in older women. Another 2011 study published in Cancer Prevention Research says that vitamin D may decrease colon cancer risk by improving differentiation and apoptosis and decreasing proliferation, invasiveness, metastatic potential and angiogenesis. The study notes that it is even more significantly associated with reduced rectal cancer risk. In a 2014 study published in Gut, researchers studied a group of immune system cells called T lymphocytes, or T cells, that can target tumor cells and limit their growth. They found that a high plasma 25-hydroxyvitamin D level is associated with a lower risk of colorectal cancer with intense immune reaction, supporting a role of vitamin D in cancer immune prevention through tumor–host interaction. Moreover, high vitamin D levels can improve response to chemotherapy and targeted anticancer drugs in patients with advanced colon cancer. 3. Vitamin D and Lung Cancer 4. Sun & Vitamin D

03:13
The sun is very important. Vitamin D like Vitamin C or Vitamin A is very important. When we are deficient in the sun, when we become deficient in the exposure, we became deficient in Vitamin D. Vitamin D is created to interact with the skin and the sun. Today doctors, specific the dermatologists, have turned the sun for many people into the enemy, when it is one of our best friends. The use of sunscreen, there are people who will not walk out of the door and spend one minute in the sun without putting a sunscreen. Some people go to the point where they do not walk around their own house without putting a sunscreen on. What the field of dermatology has done is cut off people from their Vitamin D. And this is showing up in many diseases including cancer. My recommendation, and this is not easy because it depends on the weather, one’s latitude, but getting exposure whether be through direct sun light until one is a little bit pink, for cancer patients it is very important, it is much better to take nutrients from the sun than it is to take Vitamin D supplements, though if one is in a high latitude where the weather is very cold and one cannot get to the sun and one cannot afford sun lamps, or going to these centers where they have tanning beds. Radiation, natural radiation, of the invisible spectrum, and into the infra-red, are healthy, are necessary. So, don´t pay attention to dermatologists, avoid the sunscreens to the maximum possible. Of course if one goes out into the noon sun, into the sun is high over head, and needs to spend some time, sure, sunscreen can protect us from being burnt, but there is nothing healthy about them, and there´s nothing really protective . We need the sun, we need sun exposure. We need Vitamin D. So for patients who are diseases, either increase their sun exposure, daily exposure, to the point of getting a little bit pink is incredibly healthy. If you if you can’t do that then take a good Vitamin D3.

The Sun Exposure Cancer Myth

Keto Health Summit: https://www.ketohealthsummit.com/tickets DATA: https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/sun-exposure-cancer/ https://academic.oup.com/jnci/article/97/3/161/2544132 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5129901/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23237739 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/03/07/dose-sunshine-exposure-could-cut-risk-cancer-one-fifth/ In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the relationship between UV light, sun and Cancer. Dr. Dan Coit, a surgical oncologist that research melanomas or cancers of the skin and he found out that they are not related to sun exposure. Melanocytes are cells in the skin that release melanin that protects our skin against UV light. You get vitamin D from the sun and vitamin D is very protective against a lot of different types of cancer. He also talks about how some chemicals from the sunscreen can actually trigger cancer. Hey guys so i want to talk about the relationship between the uv light, sun and cancer. So there's definitely the thought out there that you need to stay out of the sun because it it's going to cause cancer and i just want to talk about the different aspects because that is not hundred percent true. There's a really good doctor that you should look into if you wanted to know more information about this. He is a surgical oncologist and his name is Dr. Dan Coit. He research melanomas which are the cancer of the skin. And he basically found out they are not related to the sun exposure. Which is quite interesting. Melanocytes are cells in the skin that release melanin which is a pigment that protects our skin against that UV light. That is what supposed to happen. Now you when you get sun you get vitamin D and Vitamin d is very protective against cancer not just in the skin but in a lot of different types of cancer. So why would the sun give you cancer if the sun gives you vitamin D that’s suppose to protect you against cancer. Here's what i think that is happening I think of a couple things number one If you're consuming a lot of sugar that you are setting your body up for a lot of oxidative damage. And you get a repetitive sunburns which causes inflammation and which we know cancer tends to go in the areas of the inflammation. So that's bad and you don't want to do that but the other thing is sunscreen actually have chemicals that are carcinogenic. Some of the chemicals of some of the sunscreen Actually can trigger cancer. So here you are putting stuff in your skin its absorbing into the bloodstream number one and number two it is blocking the vitamin D absorption so now you don't have the benefit of vitamin D but we get the chemicals because we are thinking that “Oh yea it is the sun that is causing the cancer” So we need the kind of align this information into something that makes sense. First of all you don't want to over do it with the sun. You don't want to also do tanning beds because you are getting a different type of UV. It is true that the sun does give some radiation that does cause damage in the cells but normally we are supposed to have antioxidants in our cells that protects us. Normally we supposed to have enough vitamin D to protect us and enough melanin in the skin to protect us. So i think if you are consuming very healthy foods a lot of antioxidant and you're not overdoing it with too much sun so you don't get burned, I believe that the sun is going to be healthy for the skin. Dr. David Samadi - Vitamin D Deficiency & Sexual Dysfunction

02:59
Dr. David Samadi discusses a recent publication by journal of atherosclerosis about the relationship between vitamin D deficiency & sexual dysfunction. Aggressive prostate cancer, colon cancer, Parkinson’s & many other disease are already connected to lack of vitamin D. Vitamin D levels were checked in men who did not get a firm erection good enough to have intercourse & 30% were found to be deficient in vitamin D. Dr. Samadi states that urologists & men’s health experts may immediately prescribe medication for sexual dysfunction but the answer could be recommending adequate consumption of vitamin D. In cities like New York where men are not exposed to enough sunlight, Dr. Samadi recommends consuming vitamin D rich food such as Salmon & eggs or taking a vitamin D supplement. _________________________________________________________________ Dr. David Samadi is the Chairman of Urology & Robotics Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.
