Best Time To Take Vitamins and Supplements

02:56
Do you know how to take your vitamins and supplements? Timing is everything when it comes to taking your vitamins and supplements, so we've put together a guide to help you maximize the powerful health benefits that come from taking them at the right time. Read more about this on our blog: http://blog.professionalsupplementcenter.com/the-best-time-to-take-nutritional-supplements/ Morning: -Probiotics - Probiotics are best taken in the morning on an empty stomach. • When the stomach is empty, digestive activity is quiet and stomach acid and pH balance are relatively low, increasing the chances for the helpful microorganisms to thrive. -Iron - Iron is best absorbed in the morning on an empty stomach. • Caffeine, dairy and calcium can negatively affect absorption, so it's best to avoid these for several hours after taking iron. -Multivitamins - Take multivitamins with your first meal. In the morning! • As multivitamins contain both water and fat soluble vitamins, be sure to include some healthy fats with your meal for optimal absorption. -B-Complex vitamins - Taking B vitamins with breakfast helps to boost your metabolism and convert your food into energy, which can be used throughout the day. -Vitamin C- Vitamin C is best taken in the morning to support the immune system and boost energy levels. • Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin that lasts only a few hours in the blood stream, so if your formula recommends more than 1 tablet per day, take it in divided doses with meals to get the full benefit. Noon: -CoQ10 - CoQ10 is best taken at lunch time with a meal that contains dietary fats. • Avoid taking CoQ10 late in the day so it doesn't disturb your sleep. -Vitamin D - Vitamin D is best taken with a meal that contains dietary fats. • It's possible that Vitamin D can negatively affect sleep, so lunch time is a good time to get your Vitamin D. -Iodine - Iodine is not stored in the body, so regular intake is needed. kelp tablets taken with lunch may boost midday energy levels. -Vitamin K - Vitamin K is best absorbed along with dietary fats and ideally should be taken during the middle of the day. • Avoid taking vitamin K if you are taking Coumadin or any anticoagulant prescription drug, as Vitamin K can interfere with the effects of the medication. Night: - Fish oil - Important to support many aspects of health, fish oil is best taken with a main meal like dinner to aid absorption. -Calcium - Calcium aids nerve transmission and muscle function. To get the full benefit, take calcium in the evening along with magnesium. -Magnesium - Magnesium has a calming effect on the muscles and nervous system and may aid restful sleep. • Magnesium works synergistically with calcium, so take these together either as individual supplements or in a combined formula. In addition: -Digestive Enzymes - Digestive enzymes can be taken with any meal or within 30 minutes of your meal. Unless you have serious digestive issues, they don't necessarily need to be taken with light meals or snacks, but can be very beneficial for optimal breakdown and absorption of nutrients when taken with main meals. -Fiber - Fiber supplements may be taken either first thing in the morning or before bed. Be sure to take fiber with a full glass of water and get plenty of water during the day. Fiber can delay or reduce the absorption of certain medications so always check with your healthcare provider before taking. Should Children Take Vitamins | What Age Do Babies Need Vitamins | Best Childrens Baby Vitamins

Should Kids Take Vitamins | What Age Do Children Need Vitamins | Best Baby Vitamins | Multi vitamins For Children | Do Breastfed Babies Need Vitamins | Healthy Start Vitamin Drops Hey guys! This weeks video is all about vitamin supplements for children and why you should be giving them to children aged six months to five years. I was quite shocked when I recently read research that was presented at the Welsh Paediatric Society autumn clinical meeting. Researchers in Wales found only 30% of parents and carers said they had ever been given advice by a health professional about giving young children vitamin supplements. And nearly two-thirds (64%) of those asked said they didn't give their children vitamin supplements. DO CHILDREN NEED VITAMINS? The Department of Health (DoH) recommends all children aged 6 months to 5 years should be given supplements containing vitamins A, C and D every day. This advice has been in existence since the early 1990s, when it was endorsed by the then committee on medical aspects of food policy. However If your child is having 500ml or more of infant formula a day, they do not need any children's vitamin supplements as infant formula is fortified. Vitamins and minerals are essential for children's good health, Vitamin A: for growth, vision in dim light and healthy skin Vitamin C: helps maintain healthy tissue in the body Vitamin D: for strong bones and teeth. Growing children may not get enough of these vitamins - especially those not eating a varied diet. Breastfed babies from birth to one year of age should be given a daily supplement containing 8.5-10mcg of vitamin D to make sure they get enough. Please speak to your midwife about this if you're not already doing this. Natural Remedies for Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease

06:01
For more info on autoimmune diseases: https://draxe.com/autoimmune-disease-symptoms/ In today’s video I’m going to share with you the three steps to overcome hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease. I’ll walk you through the top diet, supplements, and natural treatments to do so. Hypothyroidism is technically an autoimmune form of Hashimoto’s Disease, where your body is attacking itself and causing issues with the thyroid. What a lot of people don’t realize is that all disease begins in the gut. So, if you want to fix your thyroid, you need to heal your gut first. There’s a specific diet and specific supplements to take to heal leaky gut. Regarding your diet, going gluten free and grain free for a total of 90 days will improve hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s. Make sure when you do start consuming grains, you consume sprouted grains. Also add lots of organic vegetables, fruits, bone broth, and organic meats, which are all easy on your gut. You also want to include probiotic-rich foods in your diet like kefir. You want to avoid fast food, excess sugar, and gluten. This diet is similar to the GAPS diet. Secondly, you want to get specific supplements to improve your hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease. You want to consume selenium, ashwaghanda, and Vitamin B12. Additionally, making sure you’re detoxing your body, getting rid of silver fillings, and switching to natural cleaning and personal care products. If you want to overcome hypothyroid and Hashimoto’s disease, follow these steps and you will see great improvements! *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Can You Take Prescriptions? | Boot Camp

Watch more Boot Camp: Learn about Basic Training videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/498618-Can-You-Take-Prescriptions-Boot-Camp "Welcome to the first and only episode of ""What About My Prescription?"". I'm your host Sgt. Volkin, and in this episode I'll be fielding questions from a fake audience today. Alright, thank you very much. So, what will happen if you bring your prescription medicines to Basic Training? Very easy answer. It's going to be taken away from you. If you require medication you most likely won't get passed MEPS, or the Medical Entrance Processing Station. Once you're at Basic Training and you need to obtain medicine, you can go to Sick Hall and get it there. Sick Hall's not that much fun though. If the medication is strong enough that you can overdose, you're going to have to take the medication with your Drill Sargeant, and that usually comes with contingencies like doing push-ups so that's not fun. So, let's go ahead and go to the questions from our fake audience. Question number one: ""Can I bring my birth control with me to Basic Training""? The answer is 'No' Question number two: ""Can I bring my asthma inhaler?"" The answer is 'No' In fact, you can't even get into the military with asthma, so the answer is still 'No'. Question number three: ""Can I bring my heartburn pills?"" The answer is 'No'. Another question from our fake audience is ""Can I bring my heart-worm medication?"" Not unless you're a canine and if you're a canine, you can't get into the military, so the answer is 'No'. Another question: ""Can I bring my Viagra?"" 'No', not sure why you're going to want to bring that to Basic Training anyway. Thank you for joining me on the series premier and the final episode of ""What About My Prescription?"""

How To Heal Low Thyroid : Hypothyroid Naturally - VitaLife Show Episode 282

04:23
How To Heal Your Low Thyroid : Hypothyroid Naturally - VitaLife Show Episode 282 In today’s episode Dr. Bowring shares with us how to heal your low thyroid. Conditions in the gut, autoimmune attack on the thyroid, stress, iodine deficiency and toxicity in our environment can be the cause of a hypothyroid. Low thyroid symptoms include low energy, fatigue, slow metabolism, feeling cold, dry skin, weight loss or gain issues and even hair loss. Natural treatment for low thyroid: Make sure you are getting enough selenium; a great natural source of selenium is Brazil Nuts. Eating just 2-3 Brazil Nuts a day will give you that whole food selenium to support your thyroid and the conversion of the thyroid hormone from T4 to your active T3. These hormones make sure that the body functions optimally. The selenium in the Brazil nut helps to decrease those anti-bodies that can happen in the thyroid, which is part of the autoimmune function, this is a problem when we are dealing with low thyroid symptoms. Cruciferous vegetables are another great natural treatment for low thyroid. Vegetables such as cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and kale are considered cruciferous. It is a common misconception that these vegetables are goitrogenic, which means that they are known for trapping iodine, therefore not being good for the thyroid. Dr. Bowring does not agree with this information, as she has done research and looked at the opinions of top endocrinologists and the information provided shows that they do not agree that goitrogenic foods pose a problem. Dr. Bowring shares her opinion that these vegetables are fantastic for the thyroid in the right amounts, which provide important antioxidants, therefore trapping those free radicals that have a negative effect on the thyroid. Everything in moderation is key. Another great treatment for hypothyroidism is exercise! Whenever you increase your blood flow this allows the body to make sure the thyroid and metabolism is working. Dr. Bowring ’s last treatment for low thyroid is detoxification. The thyroid acts like a sieve for the toxins especially heavy metal toxins that are moving through our bodies, these toxins are due to our environmental exposure. Therefore, it is important to detox regularly to help treat hypothyroidism and many other conditions. At VitaTree we recommend to detox 4 times a year/once every season to prevent toxins from building up. Visit our VitaTree website for more information on the VitaTree VitaDetox supplement. Dr. Bowring has formulated a supplement specifically to support the thyroid, containing whole food ingredients including whole food iodine as a natural treatment for low thyroid. The Thyroid Support formula gives the thyroid the essential nutrients that it needs to function optimally. Treatments for Underactive Thyroid - Hypothyroid Supplements

02:20
http://www.HypothyroidRevolution.org | Hypothyroidism Natural Treatment - Cure The Disease Naturally http://www.HypothyroidRevolution.org | Hypothyroidism is a condition which usually goes unnoticed for a long time. It is a condition where the thyroid gland is not able to produce enough hormones leading to weight gain, fatigue, insomnia, brittle and dry skin, constipation, dry hair, memory loss, depression, no menses and thickened tongue. People suffering from these symptoms may have to consult a doctor immediately and take the necessary medical help. You can also make use of hypothyroidism natural treatment to get rid of this condition. A person suffering from hypothyroidism may have low levels of hormones like T3 and T4. So a simple way of treatment includes either providing the hormones to the body or helping the body to produce these hormones according to the requirement. Sometimes, the patients are also given hormone treatment which uses natural or synthetic hormones. Synthetic hormones are not very favorable because some of them may develop side effects also. Natural cures for the condition come in different forms of supplements of vitamins and minerals like selenium, iodine, tyrosine, bladder wrack, thyroid glandular and coconut oil. Iodine is very important for producing the thyroid hormones. When it is mixed with amino acids it is transformed to T3 hormones. In the same way, selenium is very important in the production of T4 hormones. Amino acid tyrosine is also very important for producing the hormones. A natural powder called thyroid granular is taken from pigs, cows, and sheep. It helps to improve the overall functioning of the thyroid gland. Bladder wrack is rich in iodine content and helps the gland to function properly. Coconut oil is also a very useful natural component used to treat hypothyroidism. It raises the body temperature and metabolism. The most important part of natural cure is controlling your diet. Iodine rich foods are very useful for treating hypothyroidism. Foods rich in iodine like organic vegetables, seafood and shell fish etc should also be consumed in large quantities. Foods like spinach, broccoli, peanuts, cassava, soybeans and millets reduce the function of the thyroid gland, so you have to avoid these foods. By trying various hypothyroidism natural treatment options you will be able to treat the condition effectively. Use of supplements containing vitamin A, B, C, E and D are very useful.

PAIN RELIEF IS A PHONE CALL AWAY 201-848-8000 Most Insurance Plans Accepted My name is M. T. Shahab, M.D. We are a team of multidisciplinary doctors who will assess you individually and formulate a diagnostic and specific plan of care to help our patients based on our areas of expertise and discipline. Hundreds of our patients have been helped with our comprehensive approach to address chronic conditions. Among multiple drug free ways to address and help your symptoms, we usually recommend and provide nutritional supplementation which are designed to support overall health, your body function and well-being and not to treat or cure any medical illness, disease, or condition. 8 Reasons Why You Are Still Suffering With Symptoms of Your Thyroid, Chronic Fatigue, Sleep Difficulty, Low Libido, Memory Loss, Anxiety or depressive Condition: Do you wonder why, even though you are on thyroid or other medication, you still suffer with all of the symptoms of your thyroid condition? Or maybe initially you felt better on your thyroid medication until all the symptoms started to come back? Here are eight reasons why you are still suffering… The cause of your thyroid condition could be coming from your gut. Everybody knows about TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) “My doctor says my TSH is too high.” “My doctor said my TSH is too low.” TSH this and TSH that-but are you aware that in order for TSH to be released form the brain you need adequate amounts of two very important neurotransmitters Serotonin and Dopamine? And guess where these are made? The gut! So, bad gut= bad thyroid. The cause of your thyroid problem could be coming from your adrenal glands. These are your stress glands. When they are overtaxed they emit, in high amounts, a hormone called cortisol. High Cortisol is the arch-enemy to your thyroid function. The cause of your thyroid problem is a faulty immune system. The number one reason for under-active thyroid is a condition in which your immune system is mistakenly attacking the gland. This is called Hashimotos thyroiditis. It is estimated that 70-80% of thyroid patients have this but few know it because the doctor doesn’t check for it. Most doctors look at T4 as the main hormone when in actuality T3 is the active form of the hormone! Most doctors don’t even check for T3 on the blood work. Most hormone replacement medications like synthroid and levothyroxine are NOT T3 but are T4 and your doctor is assuming it gets converted to T3 in the body. This isn’t always the case. Estrogen dominance is something that almost all women suffer from for many reasons. When there is not enough progesterone in the body to balance your estrogen, your thyroid will not function properly. Doctors always follow lab ranges. Lab ranges are determined by who has been to the lab in the last year. What kind of people go to labs sick or healthy? Sick for the most part. When your doctor is making a determination on whether you have a problem or not he or she is comparing you to the average sick American. That’s crazy! We use functional ranges in which health exists. This is why so many are told they are OK when they really are not OK.

Did you know there are 4-Stage of Healing Hashimoto's? Find out what stage you're at here: https://hashimotosdoctor.com/wb4stagesofhealing High TSH levels, Hashimoto's Disease, Hypothyroidism and weight loss challenges are epidemic problems around the world... but why? Most people think hypothyroid symptoms are just related to thyroid hormone levels, or they think they can take, Synthroid®, Levothyroxine® or an NDT (natural desiccated thyroid hormone) replacement like Armour® and everything will be fine. Though thyroid hormone replacement medications are essential and critical pieces of improving hypothyroidism and hypothyroid symptoms, you have to consider why you are having the symptoms you are experiencing. Failure to address the causes of the problems you are having by covering up the symptoms will result in a continued breakdown of your body in other ways. Dr. L *DID* Taper My Synthroid Intake Down For 11/2013.

Dr. L *DID* Taper My Synthroid Intake Down For 11/2013. Recently I have been compelled to shift focus from my relatively serene writing to the current series of urgent videos along with which I have noted some parties who could be contacted that might help me. Another such party is Governor (former) Brewer of Alabama, most recently to my knowledge located at Samford University School of Law. Some years ago, I interviewed Gov. Brewer about Miscegenation laws in the state of AL, USA, laws against the mixing of races -- I am afraid of being in my current locale largely because I am visibly of mixed races, and as has recently been shared through video proof, several localS (plural) *have* conspired to set me up, although with thanks thus far to the non-corrupt entities here I am still relatively okay for now. {Technical Info: MVI_1848 recorded & uploaded to http://youtu.be/KsEj6-PnR50 on 8/27th/2014. Dogs Fight Over Being Vegan, Losing Inches Around My Waist And I'm Done Taking Medications

Sorry in advance for yelling on 12:51. I didn't know what else to do with Hunter in my arms. Luckily no one was really hurt and it resolved on it's own. I'll have to do a another video on why I don't like little dogs, it's not their fault it's the owners. So for weight loss I haven't lost any pounds just inches. I'm done taking my thyroid medications so I'm feeling a lot better and I'm expecting the next few pounds to be easier to lose. I'm taking a multivitamin and Iodine everyday along with DHA when I remember it. The medical approach to the thyroid dilemma is over simplistic. It looks at only one piece of the puzzle. It is a model that has not changed since 1961. In all my years of practice I have not seen one endocrinologist check for any of the things mentioned above.

Kelp Seaweed, A Concentrated Source of Dietary Minerals

25:06
Kelps are highly nutritious edible seaweed varieties, containing a wide range of concentrated phytonutrients, including polysaccharides and mineral content, particularly iodine. Kelp is a general term used to describe a broad range of over 300 species of brown marine algae that grow wild in shallow open ocean waters all over the world. Kelps are particularly known for their efficient ability to absorb and condense a high amount of minerals and other micronutrients from seawater into their multicellular, thick leaf-like blades. Powders and whole seaweeds are nutritionally fortifying to the diet and can also be consumed in capsule form. How to give Baby medicine without Spilling a drop

00:51
After many trials and errors, this is how I figured out how to dispense baby medicine without the baby spitting it out. I have to make sure she gets her entire dose, so I am extra careful no to spill. Just go slow and steady and about half way back on the tongue. Be careful not to gag the baby, but it's ok if they are crying. Sometimes that makes it easier. Trace Mineral Supplements Warning! Must See...

01:09
What is a Trace Mineral? Most of us are familiar with the minerals our bodies need at high levels, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. These minerals, because they are needed by our bodies in significant amounts, are called macrominerals. A number of other minerals, required in much smaller levels by our bodies, but no less important to good overall health, are called microminerals, or more commonly trace minerals.14 Trace minerals are usually found at extraordinarily small levels in our bodies, in the parts per million range.1 In spite of the relatively low concentrations of these minerals, scientists are discovering that they play an increasingly vital role in our health, including the health of our bones and joints.1-19 The Benefits of Trace Minerals Do we need trace minerals?....Yes! It is a certainty that a large number of trace minerals are directly linked to good bone health. Deficiencies of certain trace minerals, such as copper and manganese, for example, have been connected to lower bone density and weaker bones.5 While everyone is aware of the benefit calcium has on bone health, studies show that supplementing with calcium and trace minerals together increases bone density in post-menopausal women more than calcium alone.5 Calcium alone is not enough! A two year, double-blind, placebo controlled trial suggests that bone loss in post-menopausal women can be STOPPED when trace mineral intake is increased!6 The women in the study who took calcium alone only slowed their rates of bone loss. While the mechanisms of how trace minerals function in our bodies may not be entirely known, it is becoming clear that they are necessary for preserving bone mass and for general health as well! There are 60 minerals found in human blood and known to be needed in the diet on a regular basis.15 Human milk also contains 60 minerals, including some, such as nickel and vanadium, that were previously thought to be unimportant.15 Because these minerals are found in our blood and in mothers' milk our bodies probably have some use for them, even though science has not yet identified the usefulness of each trace mineral!

Metal Toxicology Expert Part 5: What studies have been conducted regarding cobalt exposure?

05:03
In this video, metal toxicology expert Dr. Michael McCabe explains the research that exists regarding cobalt and chromium exposure, potentially resulting in cobaltism or metallosis (cobalt/chromium/metal toxicity). Although most research has been conducted on occupational exposure (ie. via inhalation), they give some indication of the adverse health effects possible from exposure to cobalt. More research must be done to determine the long term health consequences from internal exposure, ie. cobalt ions leaking from metal-on-metal hip implants. This is part 5 in our 12-part series. For more information on cobalt & chromium toxicity, visit www.cobalt-chromium-toxicity.com, or call 888-290-4472 for a free and confidential case evaluation.
