How to Treat Feline Upper Respiratory Illness

05:25
Feline upper respiratory illness (URI) affects a cat’s mouth, nasal passages, upper airway, and possibly the eyes. It is usually caused by one or more infectious agents. Two viruses—feline herpes virus-1 (FHV-1) and feline calicivirus (FCV)—commonly cause feline URI; Bordetella and Chlamydia are bacteria that can cause feline URI. Feline URI can make your cat feel pretty miserable, so it is best to treat your cat as soon as you notice signs of the disease. The sooner you treat your cat, the sooner she will feel better and get back to her normal activities. Welcome to Pets and Animals YouTube Channel. How To Prevent Feline Upper Respiratory Illness

Feline upper respiratory illness is a general term for an infection affecting any part of a cat's respiratory tract except the lungs, so it includes the nose, mouth, nasal passages, throat, and windpipe. It could be caused by any number of infectious agents (bacteria or viruses) that cause symptoms of a cold or flu, such as sneezing or a runny nose. These infections are usually highly contagious and easily passed between cats, so it is very important to focus on preventing your cat from getting it in the first place. Apple Cider Vinegar can heal your dog or cat

04:45
Apple cider vinegar saved my pet, Sasha. This simple home remedy does wonders for cats and dogs. It cures stomach problems including runny stool, vomiting and urinary tract infections common among house pets. It also curbs those pesky hair balls and unnecessary vomiting. It does wonders with their immune system and their respiratory system, and aids their digestive track. It's also good for urinary tract infections or prevents crystals from forming in the urine, and it gets rid of those brown tear stains. In fact, it helped my cat who was near death get back on track. I really love this stuff. Less is more so please don't give your cat more than a recommended dose of 1/4 tsp diluted in 8 ozs. of water. They trust you, so don't hurt them. My cat, Sasha, had been sick for 3 weeks straight before I stumbled on this information. It really, really works. I thank God for it because I'm not sure if my cat would have survived. He lost a lot of weight while he was sick. He weighs 20 pounds and it was noticeable. Now, he's gained 80 percent of his weight back and he's not sick anymore. He got sick because I changed to high quality cat food, but he was too old to adjust to the change, so I had to switch him back. He is happy as a little clam now. He's birthday is in December. He will be 15 years old -- that's a major milestone for any cat. Sasha has since gone on to heaven, but he was 17 years old when he passed, and he had a fabulous quality of life before he passed. So, I could be the poster child for this stuff. He also has retained upper canine teeth. After a day of in-patient treatment with IV drip and medication to bring down the fever and antibiotics, he went home. No complaints as at 7 days later. Badly infected ulcerated ear pinnae could be the source of high fever.

How To Treat Cat Eye Infection

03:55
Eye health is important to the overall health of cats and should be assessed by cat owners on a regular basis. Knowing what to look for and how to act if you suspect an infection is important to preventing long-term problems with your cat's eyes. Early detection allows you to decide if you can manage the problem at home or if a trip to the vet is essential. If in doubt, always seek professional advice because some problems can be dangerous and could potentially cause a loss of vision or an eye. Welcome to Pets and Animals YouTube Channel. Warning Signs of Lung Cancer in Cats

01:05
My cat Ronja started making this extremely worrying sound all of a sudden, became fairly lethargic too! Due to this happening late in the evening I couldn't rush her to the vet. She was fairly calm yet alert, but only wanted to lie around, not eat even her favorite food. It got somewhat better, but still raspy breath and too calm after a short while, but that lasted for about 4 hours before it cleared up seemingly completely. First thing she did when it cleared up was go eat. Now I can't hear a thing even if I press my ear to her belly. In the beginning she made a strange loud burping sound 3 times with a few minutes a part. A loud boom of a burp. She and her two longfurred buddies shed a lot lately, so not sure if it is hairball related (she did a few regurgitating attempts at first, but nothing came up) Though the fit itself wasn't deadly, it turned out to be Lung Cancer. She lived a fairly normal life with very few instances like this, but you could hear her breathing was a bit struggled near the end. She passed away in my arms about half a year later. Her passing was quick and sudden, so she got to die naturally at home.

Fighting Chylothorax - Tips and How To - Best RUTIN - Don't Give up! - Watch First! - Cats Dogs Pets

33:13
I am not a vet and your results may vary. Please carry out your own research and create an action plan with your vet BUT PLEASE watch this video and take the steps I took to try and save your animal. THESE STEPS SAVED MY CAT AND A FRIENDS CAT ALREADY! Has your animal been diagnosed with Chylothorax? Don't give up! My cat was diagnosed 3 years ago and the vet didn't think he had a chance. 3 years later and Minion is still enjoying his life! This video details what we have done to fight Chylothorax in terms of diet, mediation, supplements and monitoring. Time stamps below but I honestly believe the first thing you should do is purchase and get your animal ingesting RUTIN with a low fat diet. Then get some medications from your vet - Furosemide and Enalapril. More in depth information in video. THINGS YOU SHOULD BUY - Prime Shipping Link to BEST Rutin (Cheapest, Pure, No Fillers, No bad taste) - https://amzn.to/2IcWssm Link to best Bonito Flakes - https://amzn.to/2KCX9JS These items can also be bought at your local pet (or natural grocery) store if you need them immediately!! Although most Rutin products sold in stores are in pill form and have bad fillers that also taste bad and make it so the animal won't eat the food. I definitely recommend buying the Rutin linked above. Dry Food Recipe 1 level teaspoon of rutin per cup of dry food (Becuase minion generally eats about 2/3 cup a day, this comes out somewhere 1500mg a day) This can be increased or lowered as needed. - Pour 5 cups of food into a big mixing bowl - Pour 5 level teaspoons of rutin into a small mixing bowl, add some bonito flakes and water and mix until smooth - Pour the Rutin mix into the dry food and mix until equally covered Wet Food Recipe This one can vary per your animals tastes. The goal is to get the cat/dog eating again and ingesting rutin and wet food is a great way to do that. - Mix 1/2 or so teaspoon of rutin in a small mixing bowl with bonito flakes and water - Mix that with enough wet food (1/4 to 1/2 can) that it is still appetizing but a bit yellow from the rutin - Mix the two together and maybe microwave it to make it extra appetizing (5-10 seconds) General Notes - Make sure the Rutin is fairly evenly spread out through the day. The idea is to have a constant amount in the animal at all times for best effect. Free feeding is obviously not great for this. We give Minion 1/4 cup in the morning, afternoon and evening. - An animal can be difficult to get eating again after a tap, thats why I recommend wet food (with Rutin) with bonito. Try anything that you think will work! - The goal is to get on a maintenance schedule where your animal gets the medicine and supplements they need daily. It can be a lot of work, but it is worth it!!
