7 Juices To Remove Uric Acid From Body And Relieve Gout Pain

04:15
The high level of uric acid in the body is caused when the kidneys can't effectively remove it through urine. This happens because of two conditions, either when we consume foods more in uric acid content or when there is some problem in kidney function. However, high uric acid level mostly occurs when we eat foods rich in proteins or uric acid. The excess uric acid is removed by the kidneys, but some of it still remains in the body. This uric acid in the blood gets accumulated in the body's joints, mostly in finger joints such as toes, ankle, knee, wrist, elbow. This condition is known as gout. In this condition, there is much pain, redness and inflammation of the area, where the uric acid gets accumulated. Gout is most common among middle-aged men and can happen when we they don't have a control on our diet such as eating lots of meat, liver, onions, beans, peas, mushrooms, etc, that are rich in purines. Some other factors which cause high uric acid level in the body are drinking too much of alcohol, weight gain, diabetes and hypothyroidism. Have a look at some of the best juices that help in the removal of uric acid from the body. Pineapple Juice. Pineapple juice removes excess uric acid from the body, as it contains an enzyme called bromelain. This juice relieves pain and inflammation of the joints caused by uric acid accumulation. The enzymes present in pineapples dissolve uric acid and remove it from the body through urine. Carrot And Cucumber Juice. Make a juice of 2 carrots, 1 cucumber and 8 ribs of celery. Drink it in the morning to remove uric acid from your body. This is a very refreshing drink and will keep you hydrated during the day. Drink this for at least 15 to 20 days to remove all the uric acid from the body. Ginger Juice. Grate a few slices of ginger and boil them. Let it cool and drink it. You can also mix it with a little honey to enhance its taste. This relieves pain and inflammation of the joints, where uric acid is accumulated. Cherry Juice. Studies have shown that cherries are very effective in lowering uric acid levels. Make a juice of cherries and drink it twice daily to prevent pain and inflammation due to uric acid. Turmeric And Pineapple Drink. Make a juice of half-cut pineapple and add 2 teaspoons of powdered turmeric and 3 teaspoons of powdered ginger to it. Drink this juice daily at bedtime to get relief from pain and swelling due to uric acid. Carrots, Beets, And Cucumber Juice. Make a juice of 1 small cucumber, 1 carrot and 1 beet. This vegetable smoothie will dissolve the uric acid crystals and help in their removal from the body. Drink this juice once daily to get a good relief from pain as well. Apple Juice. Apple juice neutralises the uric acid in the body, thus helping in relieving pain and inflammation. Apples also contain malic acid, which is effective in reducing the uric acid level in the body. Hence, you must eat one apple daily to get relief from the symptoms of gout. - Video URL : https://youtu.be/Z2jJ9SzxWGk - How to naturally reduce high uric acid levels : https://youtu.be/NuF9nh3s64Y

The Color of Your Pee Says About Your Health

03:24
The Color of Your Pee Says About Your Health The eyes may be a window into the soul, but the toilet bowl is a window into the body. Turns out, you can learn a lot about what's going on inside by examining what comes out. In fact, it's become pretty standard advice to keep an eye on what you leave behind when you pee, and to aim for a light lemonade color as a sign of optimal hydration. The yellow color of urine comes from a chemical byproduct that results when the kidneys do their job of processing waste, explains Koushik Shaw, MD, a urologist and founder of Austin Urology Institute in Texas. The more dehydrated you are, the more concentrated the urine becomes and the darker the color gets. "A pale yellow color reflects a good balance between over- and underhydration," he says. There are times, though, when you don't see pale yellow in the bowl, and dehydration has nothing to do with it. Believe it or not, pee can come in a whole rainbow of colors. Case in point: Heather West, who works in a hospital lab, captured the spectrum of pee colors in this pretty sweet (and slightly disturbing!) photo. Here's what you should know when your pee doesn't look like lemonade. If it's red You probably ate beets, or maybe blackberries, or even rhubarb. Red or pink pee after eating beets is common enough that it's even got its own name: beeturia. Some of the compounds responsible for the color of these pretty foods are excreted in the urine after the kidneys do their processing. It should clear up by the next day, but if red pee lingers, Shaw says, it could be a sign of a bladder or kidney tumor. If you haven't recently eaten one of these foods, and especially if you notice any blood clots or other pieces of tissue in your pee, please go see a doctor. Both are extremely rare, Shaw adds, but underdiagnosed, especially in women, since we're more likely to shrug off the incident as a weird period fluke. If it's orange Just like your skin can turn orange if you eat too many carrots, so can your pee. Overdoing it means you've delivered yourself a heaping dose of beta-carotene, which is then excreted in urine. The over-the-counter UTI treatment phenazopyridine (Pyridium) and the blood thinner warfarin can also result in orange pee. The good news, Shaw says, is you know you're taking these meds and a good doctor will give you the heads-up ahead of time to expect color changes so you don't freak out. If you see more of a neon or fluorescent orange, though, something could be up with your liver, Shaw says, especially if you notice a yellowish tint to the whites of your eyes. If it's neon yellow A vibrant, fluorescent yellow in your bowl is probably linked to your vitamin stash. B vitamins, especially B12, result in this dramatic hue change. It's no cause for concern—except for the fact that you probably paid good money for those vitamins you just peed out! If it's green Even if you don't notice that hallmark asparagus smell, the veggie might change the color of your pee to a greenish tint, Shaw says. In some rare instances, though, green urine could be a sign of a specific form of urinary tract infection called a proteus infection. The bug that causes it can also cause kidney stones, so if you still see green and you haven't eaten asparagus, it's time to get it checked out, he says. If it's blue A rare genetic condition called hypercalcemia, which involves having too much calcium in your bones, can result in blue urine, Shaw says. Yep, blue pee is possible. But probable? "It's so rare, I'll probably never see a case in my lifetime," he says. Whew. If it's brown Porphyrias are a rare class of disorders that typically involve sensitivity to light and can sometimes lead to brownish urine due to the way red blood cells are broken down in the bodies of people with the condition. It's likely another never-in-his-lifetime scenario, Shaw says, but if your brown pee is accompanied by abdominal pain, rashes, or seizures, it's possible you have the genetic condition. As blood breaks down, it can appear more brownish, Shaw says, so brown pee could also be a sign of something serious, like a tumor. Or if you're a huge rhubarb or fava bean fan, you might also notice cola-colored pee after you've eaten those foods. If it's white Pee doesn't have to be green to signal that an infection has reared its ugly head. "Sometimes urine is more concentrated or darker with a UTI," Shaw says—it's why we're often told to drink plenty of fluids when we have one. But water alone might not get you out of the woods, especially if your urine becomes a cloudy white color, Shaw says. "That could be kidney stones or a really bad infection," he says. "You're basically peeing out pus." Please take those symptoms straight to the doctor.

14 Health Benefits of Pomegranate|| does pom juice have antioxidants|

05:11
Benefits of Pomegranate Here are some of the potential benefits of pomegranate. 1. Antioxidants Pomegranate seeds get their vibrant red hue from polyphenols. These chemicals are powerful antioxidants. Pomegranate juice contains higher levels of antioxidants than most other fruit juices. It also has three times more antioxidants than red wine and green tea. The antioxidants in pomegranate juice can help remove free radicals, protect cells from damage, and reduce inflammation. 2. Vitamin C The juice of a single pomegranate has more than 40 percent of your daily requirement of vitamin C. Vitamin C can be broken down when pasteurized, so opt for homemade or fresh pomegranate juice to get the most of the nutrient. 3. Cancer prevention Pomegranate juice recently made a splash when researchers found that it may help stop the growth of prostate cancer cells. Despite multiple studies on the effects of the juice on prostate cancer, results are still preliminary. While there haven't been long-term studies with humans that prove that pomegranate juice prevents cancer or reduces the risk, adding it to your diet certainly can't hurt. There have been encouraging results in studies so far, and bigger studies are now being done. 4. Alzheimer's disease protection The antioxidants in the juice and their high concentration are believed to stall the progress of Alzheimer disease and protect memory. 5. Digestion Pomegranate juice can reduce inflammation in the gut and improve digestion. It may be beneficial for people with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other inflammatory bowel diseases. While there are conflicting beliefs and research on whether pomegranate juice helps or worsens diarrhea, most doctors recommend avoiding it until you are feeling better and your symptoms have subsided. 6. Anti-inflammatory Pomegranate juice is a powerful anti-inflammatory because of its high concentration of antioxidants. It can help reduce inflammation throughout the body and prevent oxidative stress and damage. 7. Arthritis Flavonols in pomegranate juice may help block the inflammation that contributes to osteoarthritis and cartilage damage. The juice is currently being studied for its potential effects on osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other types of arthritis and joint inflammation. 8. Heart disease Pomegranate juice is in the running as the most heart-healthy juice. It appears to protect the heart and arteries. Small studies have shown that the juice improves blood flow and keeps the arteries from becoming stiff and thick. It may also slow the growth of plaque and buildup of cholesterol in the arteries. But pomegranate may react negatively with blood pressure and cholesterol medications like statins. Be sure to talk with your doctor before indulging in the juice or taking a pomegranate extract supplement. 9. Blood pressure Drinking pomegranate juice daily may also help lower systolic blood pressure. But more studies need to be done to determine if pomegranate juice can decrease overall blood pressure in the long term. 10. Antiviral Between the vitamin C and other immune-boosting nutrients like vitamin E, pomegranate juice can prevent illness and fight off infection. Pomegranates have also been shown to be antibacterial and antiviral in lab tests. They are being studied for their effects on common infections and viruses. 11. Vitamin-rich In addition to vitamin C and vitamin E, pomegranate juice is a good source of folate, potassium, and vitamin K. Whether you decide to add pomegranate to your daily diet or just sip on it every now and then, check the label to ensure that it is 100 percent pure pomegranate juice, without added sugar. Or, juice it fresh. 12. Memory Drinking 8 ounces of pomegranate juice a daily may improve learning and memory, according to a recent study. 13. Endurance and sports performance Move over, tart cherry and beet juice. Pomegranate juice may be the new sport performance enhancer. The juice may help reduce soreness and improve strength recovery. It also decreases oxidative damage caused by exercise. 14 . Diabetes Pomegranate was traditionally used as a remedy for diabetes in the Middle East and India. While much is still unknown about the effects of pomegranate on diabetes, it may help decrease insulin resistance and lower blood sugar.

Red Cabbage: The Disease-Fighting, Gut-Healing Superfood

18:29
Red Cabbage: The Disease-Fighting, Gut-Healing Superfood Just about everyone has eaten cabbage at one point or another in his or her life, whether as a New Year’s tradition or as part of the regular diet. But did you know that not all cabbage is the same? It’s true. Red cabbage is not the same as green cabbage, and I’m not just talking about color. Red cabbage, also known as purple cabbage, is a cruciferous vegetable that’s delicious both raw and cooked. It’s often eaten raw in salads, steamed, braised or sauteed with other vegetables. It’s also referenced as red kraut or blue kraut and can provide the much-needed benefits of probiotics in this form due to the fermentation process. In addition, the insoluble fiber from red cabbage is known to prevent constipation, lower the risk of developing diverticular disease and may help relieve the symptoms of some gastrointestinal conditions, such as IBS symptoms. But that’s not all. Red cabbage benefits extend even further, as you’ll learn below — and why you want to include this tasty veggie in your rotation. Red Cabbage Benefits 1. Boosts the Immune System Red cabbage contains ever-so-important vitamin C, a crucial antioxidant needed in order for our bodies to have strong immune systems. It stimulates the activity of white blood cells, forming the first line of defense for the immune system. Nutrient-dense antioxidants such as vitamin C are known to have high antioxidant potency to assist in minimizing harmful effects of reactive species. As one of the top vitamin C foods on the planet, red cabbage is a major immune system booster. The immune system is extremely vulnerable to oxidant and antioxidant balance, as uncontrolled free radical production can impair its function and defense mechanism. These free radicals can form in the body and promote tissue damage. However, antioxidants are the perfect defense mechanisms for the immune system and can help fight off intruders, including cancer. Additionally, vitamin C is important in the formation of collagen, which keeps our bodies and cells connected and solid. Due in large part to its vitamin C content, red cabbage is a high-antioxidant food that fights free radical damage and strengthens the immune system. 2. Fights Inflammation and Arthritis Red cabbage contains inflammation-fighting phytonutrients. A study published in Research in Pharmaceutical Science showed that when testing the effects of the consumption of extracts of cabbage on the immune response, there was a reduction in swelling. Because inflammation can cause swelling and pain in the joints, such as with arthritis, eating a diet filled with anthocyanin-rich fruits and vegetables like red cabbage should be a part of your daily regimen. These type of anti-inflammatory foods help prevent and naturally treat arthritis and arthritic complications. 3. Aids Healthy Bones and Reduces the Risk of Osteoporosis Red cabbage is a vitamin K-rich food, and we know that vitamin K increases the amount of a specific protein required to maintain bone calcium, thus reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Some studies on vitamin K have even found that high intakes of it stop bone loss in those who already have osteoporosis, which is why it should be part of any osteoporosis diet treatment plan. Skeletal tissue is formed during the first two decades of life, and then a constant bone mass is maintained until 40 years of age. In the case of women, the bone mass is rapidly reduced at menopause, and after that, bone mass slowly decreases in both men and women who have passed the 70-year-old mark. This process can lead to increased risk of bone fracture. Since osteoporotic fractures are the third-highest cause for becoming bedridden, the maintenance of healthy bones is an important factor in extending a person’s healthy lifespan. Vitamin K can greatly help maintain bone health and delay or prevent osteoporosis. 4. Combats Chronic Disease Degenerative or chronic disorders — such as Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, among others — affect more than 45 million people worldwide and often strike older adults characterized by progressive deterioration of nerve cells, eventually leading to cell death. DNA damage by reactive species is associated with susceptibility to chronic human degenerative disorders. The naturally occurring antioxidants found in the anthocyanins of the red cabbage may prevent or reverse such damage. In a study from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, the antioxidant activities were compared from the extract of six anthocyanin-rich edible plants, including red cabbage, red lettuce, blueberries, pansies, purple sweet potato skin, purple sweet potato flesh and Maori potato flesh. All but the red lettuce extract were found to reduce endogenous DNA damage in colon cancer cells, showcasing the disease-fighting ability of red cabbage — including its standing among cancer-fighting foods.

TUNA from scratch & Carrot Apple Grape Fruit Juice

22:41
Tuna Benefits: Cardiovascular Health The omega-3 fatty acids in tuna are responsible for a long list of cardiovascular benefits. Omega-3s help the cardiovascular system by aiding in the prevention of irregular heart rhythms, making blood clots less likely, and improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to potentially harmful (LDL) cholesterol. Not to mention, omega-3s reduce inflammation, and thereby the conversion of cholesterol into artery-clogging plaques. That's not all: by facilitating greater variability between heartbeats, the omega 3 fatty acids reduce the risk of arrhythmia and/or sudden death. The high amount of vitamin B6 found in tuna, along with folic acid, lowers levels of homocysteine, a by-product compound of the methylation cycle. High levels of homocysteine are very harmful to artery walls, an important risk factor for atherosclerosis. Through its high levels of omega-3s, tuna lowers levels of triglycerides, high amounts of which are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Omega-3 fatty polyunsaturated fatty acids help prevent and control high blood pressure and may reduce risk of atrial fibrillation, the most common type of heart arrhythmia, especially in the elderly. Eye Health The high levels of omega-3 essential fatty acids in tuna offer substantial protection against macular degeneration (AMD) of the eye, a condition in which fine vision deteriorates, resulting in central vision loss and is the leading cause of blindness in people over 50. Studies strongly suggest that increasing dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids may also reduce the risk of dry eye syndrome, an important and prevalent cause of ocular complaints. Cancer Prevention Studies suggest tuna protects against cancer in the ovaries, pancreas, and every part of the digestive tract including the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, and colon. Eating fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as tuna, may also help protect against breast cancer and lower the risk of leukemia, multiple myeloma, and non-hodgkins lymphoma. Consumption of fatty fish, such as tuna, presents substantial protection against renal cell carcinoma, the most common form of kidney cancer. Cognitive Benefits Omega-3 fatty acids may help lessen cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease by promoting a healthy blood supply to the brain and lowering inflammation, aiding the transmission of electrical signals in the brain, and reducing the types of lesions so commonly found in patients suffering the ravages of Alzheimer's. Brain cell research shows one omega-3 fatty acid named DHA may help increase production of the protein LR11, which destroys the beta-amyloid plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease. Tuna's rich content of niacin may also help provide protection against age-related mental decline and Alzheimer's disease. Research has shown people with diets rich in niacin are 70% less likely to have developed Alzheimer's disease than those who suffer a deficiency, and their level of age-related cognitive decline is also less. Mood Lifter A diet high in tuna may improve your mood and save you stress. The EPA of Omega-3 fatty acids improves flow of blood and may affect both hormones and the immune system, each of which have an important effect on brain function. DHA is used in ion channels in the brain, helping transmit electrical signals, and is involved in serotonin metabolism, a key factor in depression. Improved Insulin Response Tuna is of particular benefit to people who suffer from type 2 diabetes, due to its high content of omega-3 fats. Research suggests that although saturated fats promote weight gain, the omega-3 fats found in tuna reduce the chances of becoming obese along with improving the ability of the body to respond to insulin. The reason for this marvelous ability is the omega 3 fatty acid known as EPA, which stimulates the secretion of the hormone leptin, thereby regulating body weight and metabolism. Promotes Detoxification Along with its omega-3s, the selenium contained in tuna is a crucial element in the production of glutathione peroxidase. This important antioxidant is critical for a healthy liver, the organ responsible for detoxifying and ridding the body of harmful compounds like pesticides, drugs, and heavy metals. Selenium is also known to help prevent cancer and heart disease.

Our blood flow can affect all aspects of our health, in ways you might not expect it to. For instance, healthy, steady blood flow is needed for digestion and healthy circulation that leads to good heart health, energy, and even to help remove wastes that can become stagnant and contribute to weight gain and acidic pH levels in the body. Blood flow is improved through all forms of movement, along with certain foods and drinks in our diet. When it comes to the biggest impact, food and movement are where it is at. Still, you could exercise all day and suffer poor blood flow if your meals aren’t based off clean, whole foods that provide vital nutrients for a healthy body.
