5 Incredibly Fun GAMES to Teach Self-Regulation (Self-Control) | Early Childhood Development

07:54
Teaching kids to have self control is one of the most important character traits we can teach. Experts believe that kids who master self-regulation become masters of their learning, are more critical thinkers, and make healthier choices; and the benefits are life-long. As parents, I am sure we have observed that little kids have very minimal self-regulation and older kids have some! We adults have developed this self-regulation over time. While it is something that develops as we mature, should we leave the ability to self-regulate up to nature alone, or is there something we could do at home to help kids develop or strengthen this important skill? Some exciting research says self-regulation is something kids can learn. And the best part? It can be taught through play.

iTeach – Holistic development

01:40
iTeach is a set of six teaching and learning principles to guide early childhood educators in planning, designing and facilitating learning experiences for children. ‘h’ stands for ‘holistic development’. Holistic development of children recognises that the areas of development and learning are inter-connected. Every aspect of a child’s development should be recognised and valued in order to maximise the potential of the child. Early childhood educators can help them to develop knowledge, skills and dispositions across the six learning areas – Aesthetics and Creative Expression, Discovery of the World, Language and Literacy, Motor Skills Development, Numeracy, and Social and Emotional Development. Watch the video for more information! MOE advocates the iTeach principles outlined in the Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Framework. The Framework is part of the NEL Curriculum, a comprehensive range of kindergarten curriculum resources developed by MOE to support early childhood educators in creating quality learning experiences for children four to six years of age. A Japanese Method to Develop Creativity in Kids

09:17
Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz For copyright matters please contact us at: welcome@brightside.me ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Japanese people are known for their intelligence, politeness, and wellness. Why is this nation so unique and different from the rest of the world? It seems we’ve found the answer – they have an incredibly cool education system and unique teaching methods! Watch till the end – there is a small but brilliant bonus for you. Let’s start with a unique Japanese method in the schools for developing creativity in kids. We believe that the whole world needs to adopt! It’s called “Nameless paints.” Japanese designers named Yusuke Imai and Ayami Moteki created an unusual set to teach kids colors and painting. This fantastic set won the 2012 Kokuyo Design Award. Let’s see how it works. “Nameless paints” includes ten tubes that don’t have color names such as “yellow,” “blue,” or “green.” Instead, there are only spots of a particular color or colors on each tube. As you can see, the spots are also different sizes. The designers’ aim is to change the way kids think and learn. They want children to understand what shade they will get if they mix certain colors. For instance, a child looks at the tube with two spots: pink and blue. He doesn’t know what color hides inside. He squeezes the tube and gets… purple color! So, as a result, the kid learns that the same amounts of pink and blue paints create purple. Here’s another example – a tube with a big blue spot and small pink one. It means if you mix a small amount of the pink color and a large amount of the blue color, you’ll get dark-blue color. Interesting, right? As you can see, each tube hides a particular color inside. Pink, yellow, blue, purple, red, dark green, dark blue, orange, light-green, and black. However, to get one of these shades, the child should think about which colors create it. As a result, they learn how to create new colors and how to mix them. It’s an easy and fun way to understand the color theory. Recent studies have shown that free thinking is an attribute that a person can acquire over time, and the schools play the most important part in developing creativity. Now, here’s the bonus – 10 brilliant features of the Japanese education system the whole world needs to adopt. The success of the Japanese culture is very simple: they put a lot of effort and time in the education system trying to make it not only useful but also fun. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

Learning Activities For Toddlers/2,3,4,5 Year Olds BEST Activity To Become Smart-Toddler Activities

You can also "quickly" and "easily" teach your toddler and or your child to "really" read and "decode" ALL different words and sentences (NOT just memorize some word shapes!) and become a fast and fluent Reader. To see more proven results and countless success stories sent by ecstatic parents and to download your copy of the said reading program go to: ► http://tinyurl.com/YourChildCanLearnToReadEasily ◄ For parents looking for reasons of why children should read, we've compiled a list below, in no particular order. 1. Reading expands a child's vocabulary. 2.The act of reading works as an exercise to improve reading fluency and comprehension. 3. You can't comprehend what you can't read. 4. Early reading skills directly relates to a child's future academic success. 5. The more you read, the better you are at it. This is a simple fact. 6. This is described by the Matthew Effect of reading where early success in reading leads to increased success later on, and conversely, children who are poor readers will have difficulty catching up, and some never do. 7. Reading early helps build independence and self confidence. 8. It opens up a whole new world of understanding and comprehension of the world around the child when the child is able to read. 9. It helps children make more sense of the world around them. 10. For safety! Early reading allows children to read and understand important labels and warning signs - such as "poison", "stop", "beware of dogs", "danger", and so on... 11. It increases your knowledge. The more your read, the more you know. 12. It takes you to places you've never been to before, and it enhances your imagination. 13. You learn about things, places, history, science, ideas, and so much more that you otherwise would not through reading. 14. Reading is a form of entertainment! It is fun! Would you rather sit your child in front of the idiot box or have your child read a fulfilling book? Rhetorical question... 15. Reading makes your child smarter, literally! That's a fact stated by researchers Cunningham and Stannovich in their report titled What Reading Does for the Mind. In their research, they also stated that reading not only increases your intelligence, it can even "help children compensate for modest levels of cognitive ability." 16. Reading to and with your children is one of the most rewarding bonding times for a family. 17. Reading helps you relax, and it is free! 18. Reading more helps you improve your writing skills. 19. it teaches you about grammar, sentence structures, and enhances your communication skills. 20. Books broaden your outlook and your horizons. Imagine you and your child a few weeks, months, or even years from now... Will your child still struggle to read, and will you still be frustrated and disappointed that your child have not learned to read or cannot read properly? Will your child end up being one of the 67% of all grade 4 children who cannot read proficiently? Or... Are you a proud parent of a happy, confident, smart child that learned to read early on and have developed superior reading and literacy skills that will benefit them for a life time? The choice is yours, but the future belongs to your child... If you are truly interested in helping your child develop the most important skill in life and you want to help your children develop to their fullest potential, then you owe it to yourself and your child to try the Children Learning Reading program. The majority of the people in this world look for the "miracle quick fix" that require little to no effort on their part, and they'll just keep looking until it's too late for their children. Children that learn to read early learn to love reading early on. I've found that all my older children just can't resist reading books that are in front of them, and the younger ones who can't read yet always emulate them by pretending to sound out and "read" the books. Children-Learning-Reading is a simple, step-by-step program that will help parents teach their children to read in just 12 weeks. Children as young as two or three years old can learn to read using this effective program. If You've Had Enough of All the Other Hyped "Quick Fix Programs" that Promise Easy Results - Programs that Sit Your Child In Front of the TV and Computer for Hours Upon Hours, That Have Failed You and Your Child in the Past, and You Are Ready to Teach Your Child to Read the RIGHT Way, Then This is the Honest and Truly Effective Learning to Read Solution You've Been Searching For. Early care and education providers are continually striving to provide developmentally appropriate experiences for young children. This requires the ability to explore topics that are well matched to children's interests, engage in interactions that are a good fit with their current level of development, and challenge children to move toward higher levels of thinking or ability without overwhelming them. Preschool Curriculum with Educator Eunice at Life Church Child Development Center

01:43
Eunice Grant, the Director of Life Church Child Development Center talks about how they use Funshine Express preschool curriculum activities at their center. They were looking for high quality curriculum plans that they could use to teach vital educational concepts to over 100 children, ages 12 months to preK 5 year olds. Both teachers and parents love the kits. The video shows off some of the many educational displays in a classroom setting, and how the kids use them. They can be easily modified to fit in your specific preschool classroom. Fireflies® is a research based preschool curriculum lesson plan that creates enthusiasm for learning and builds school readiness skills. Delivered monthly, these preschool activity kits provide educators with a guided lesson. They are designed to be used as fully complete lesson plans, but they can be modified to your own settings, based on your own curriculum ideas. All of the activities and assessment materials are aligned with national and state standards.
