Diabetics Beware: A.D.A. Guidelines will Make Your Diabetes WORSE

13:26
Founded in 1940, and opened to the general public in 1970, the American Diabetes Association says their mission is to prevent and cure Diabetes. However, their Official Guidelines, and food recommendations, seem to be doing the opposite. 52.3% of U.S. adults are now either diabetic or pre-diabetic, over HALF of the adult population! It seems the ADA is failing miserably at their mission. Should we blame this terrible statistic on the sloth and gluttony of the average U.S. Adult, or should the A.D.A. take the blame? Here is the "Super-Foods" list actually recommended to diabetics on the A.D.A. website: http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitness/food/what-can-i-eat/making-healthy-food-choices/diabetes-superfoods.html?loc=ff-slabnav . 6 out of 10 of these "super-foods" will immediately raise a diabetics blood sugar... Here are 2 videos by Dr Sarah Hallberg revealing what actually works for diabetics and their blood sugar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_ENW-kisJU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da1vvigy5tQ Please don't blindly believe me, or Dr Hallberg. Every diabetic should do their own learning and research into these important questions, and decide which diet will keep their blood sugar and A1c lower, and which diet will decrease the risk of diabetic complications. I realize I might incur financial and/or professional risk by posting this video, but... DIABETICS DESERVE A NORMAL A1C, AND A LIFE FREE FROM DEVASTATING DIABETIC COMPLICATIONS, so I eagerly take the risk. ------- Join me and let's optimize your health! ------- Enable my daily ALEXA BRIEF: https://amzn.to/2LhhowD Thanks so much to our Champion Patrons, Dennis F, Susan M, Susie H, Michael T, Kimberly M, Jerimiah J., Rumi K, Mary C, Lisa G, Paul R, Doyle R, Robyn D, Jeff P, Joe W and John C for helping make this video possible… ▶You can help too, by becoming a Patron: https://goo.gl/kJJYws Get Dr Berry's Best-Selling Book: LIES MY DOCTOR TOLD ME 📕--▶ http://a.co/g53H5g7 FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/kendberry.md/ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/kendberry.md/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/KenDBerryMD 📳Speak with Dr. Berry face-to-face about medical questions you might have using eVisit: https://goo.gl/7ibtW5 🍳Want a Keto Meal Plan? How Important is Blood Sugar Control in Type 2 Diabetes

05:25
Scientists at Tufts University School of Medicine claim that the primary goal of treatment in type 2 diabetes is no longer blood glucose control. They published this work in the February 2014 issue of the journal, American Family Physician. Doctors have been imprinted with the concept that control diabetes and you'll control its complications; while this remains correct, it turns out that there are other factors that are even more important in preventing heart attacks, strokes, renal failure, peripheral neuropath and retinopathy that include smoking, uncontrolled hypertention, poor management of high cholesterol, and lack of the use of metformin (glucophage). This doesn't mean forget about the importance of managing blood sugar levels, it just reinforces the importance of quitting smoking, managing hypertension and cholesterol, and using metformin when it is possible.

Living With Diabetes and Without Junk Food

By Jamie - Age 14 | For seven years of my life, I grew up in the foster system. I had to leave my mom’s house because of the decision to stop being there for her children. At the time, it was just me, an eight year old girl, and my brother, and an eleven year old severely autistic boy. One day the police showed up at our house. They asked me a lot of questions and then told us I would be staying at my aunt's house with her three kids, and my brother to a home for his needs. I stayed with my Aunt and cousins for a year and a half, until one day my Aunt told me to pack some clothes. I thought I was going to spend some time with my other Aunt and cousins, so happily I went and packed some clothes but, once I was done I went to the front room and my Aunt told me and my cousins I was going away for some time. I didn’t know what that meant but, we all cried, and my ??? showed up. My ??? didn’t tell me too much on our car ride there but, for most of the ride I cried. Once we got there, I was greeted by someone I would soon look up to as my sister, and by more people I would soon consider my family. I lived there for 2 and a half years. I wanted that to be my forever home, my forever family. But I found out my biological mom had another baby. He was only 5 months old and the state wanted us to be together forever. I moved in with him and his foster family. ??? threw up, cried, fussed, changed his diapers. I never thought I’d have a little brother, but there he was right before my eyes. I thought that was it for my foster placements but, I was wrong. Something didn’t work in that home and, we were moved after a year and a half of staying there. Now, we were with our very first white foster parent. A single mother, with three cute, but crazy kids. To say the least on that home, it didn’t work and, we left. On my last day of school, we were taken to our next foster home and, our last one thank you jesus. Another white family with four kids. A boy in the eleventh grade, a girl ???, another girl in the seventh grade, and another boy in like the fifth grade. And of course two parents, a mom and a dad and two lovely black dogs. Those people showed me and my brother so much love and care even after our hearts were broken by so many people at so many different times. I’ve never had a father figure in my life, so when I got to this one I didn’t really know how it felt to have a father at all. December 31, 2014, we were adopted by these people. Being here for two years now, I’ve received lots of love, and crazy rules and groundings. I’m blessed to have a place to finally call home Do you LOVE junk food? Tons of people do - especially when we're kids, it's everywhere. And so, getting addicted to sugar is easy. Do you kind of HATE healthy foods like vegetables and fruit? You're not alone. Jamie, up until a few years ago, ate nothing but junk food - all the time - chips, soda, candy, anything she could find that had lots and lots of sugar, or was fried, or processed, or just plain bad for you. It was all she craved. Even though her Mom told her not to eat all that junk food, and tried to get her to eat better healthier foods, she just ignored her and went on eating whatever she wanted. And this went on for a few years, until, Jamie started having trouble hearing. She didn't think much of it, but it got bad enough so that her Mom ended up taking her to the hospital. After the nurse tested her blood sugar - which Jamie hated since she hates blood and needles - she came back with bad news. Jamie had diabetes! It was a diagnosis she did not expect nor a disease she wanted. Her Mom was concerned, but Jamie was just totally confused - she had to learn all about it fast, AND, she had to take medicine - insulin - every single day. So, with a serious fear of needles and shots, Jamie found out that she had to give herself the shots, and monitor and test her blood sugar levels on her own. It was scary, and people would look at her when she had to do it and make her feel different and uncomfortable. But the hardest part of all was that she had to stop eating all of the junk food and sugar and start eating healthy foods. As a diabetic, She had to totally change her diet. And eventually, she got used to her new diet and at making healthier choices for eating and snacking. She even got used to the shots and is really living a normal life - but she does have to take care of herself a little more carefully than most kids her age and manage her diabetes. This is an important storytime to tell and to hear. Everyone's got a story....we want to hear yours! Pre-Diabetes and Insulin Resistance damage your body. Waiting until you have full-blown T2DM to correct the underlying problem is very poor practice. Use these 3 tests that predict diabetes to prevent years of damage to your Brain, Heart and Kidneys. People become overly concerned with testing such things as RBC-Mg, MTHFR genes and salivary cortisol levels. Brooklyn Park Family Determined to Find a Cure for Son’s Diabetes

02:33
A Brooklyn Park family is on a mission to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. The chronic condition can be hard to control and is sometimes fatal. Six-year-old Aziah McCoy is a rambunctious first grader, who likes to play basketball. Last summer, his parents noticed a change in his daily routine. He was very thirsty, drinking a lot, and using the bathroom more than normal. "We had to stop five times in a two and half drive, so I thought he had a urinary tract infection," said Aziah's mother Tammy Callahan. But doctors discovered something much more serious: Type 1 diabetes. "When something like this just comes about out of the blue, it's really scary," explained Alonzo McCoy, Aziah's father. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease and is hereditary. Aziah's paternal grandfather has Type 1 diabetes. People with the disease don't produce insulin, the hormone needed to covert food into energy. Aziah now gets his insulin through injections. Every piece of food he eats has to be calculated. His parents have to guess ahead of time, how much food he'll eat. "He gets one unit of insulin for 20 grams of carbs that he eats in a meal," said Callahan. Type 1 diabetes can cause nerve damage, blindness and kidney disease if left unchecked. The family is determined to help find a cure. They're participating in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's One Walk at the Mall of America Saturday to raise money for research. Their team is called "Aziah's Avengers."
