If you are not, you should be doing my version and try to keep up with my pace... You will feel the burn! :) Warming up your body before going all-out is crucial. I would recommend everyone to spend at least 5-10 minutes doing some dynamic warm up on light to moderate intensity. I would personally go through 1 round of this exercise routine with moderate effort before I start pushing myself hard. Doing the beginner modification routine for 1 round before your actual working set can be a good way to get ready too. After each round. Pause the video take 2 minutes rest. He has seen ab toning super products for years. He has never tried to them because he's chalked them up to BS. This is Alpha's chance to take it for a test drive to see if his assumptions are correct or if he's been missing out. There were no strings attached! About EMS Systems There have been a ton EMS systems (Electric Muscle Stimulator) ranging from therapy to rehab situations. An electrode is connected to the muscle to give it juice and cause it to contract. Over the years, the systems got in trouble with the FDA: the products didn't stimulate a *hot turd* and were being sold as a weight loss, side reducing wonder product. The Flex Belt got FDA clearance for ab toning, firming, and strengthening. How it works Essentially, you have an adjustable belt, electrodes, replaceable pads, and a battery pack. After putting it on, set the program (1 -10) and increase the intensity levels (1 -150). Alpha started feeling it on program 5 / intensity 30. He starts getting ballsy from there-- he cranks it up. Contractions last 2 seconds with relaxation for 5 seconds for 30 minutes. He used it for 1 week and has been really sore (mainly his obliques). Does the belt work? The muscle engages and contracts causing toning and firming. Your abs will strengthened and toned. To get to see your abs, however, you need a healthy diet with cardio to get rid of your layer of fat.It's not a shortcut; it's something to add. It would be great to supplement to an ab workout in the gym. Flex Belt is a great product, and he's glad Flex Belt contacted him!

I'm going to go over the 3 types of peanut butter that you run into at the grocery store - 2 of them you need to ABSOLUTELY avoid. Let's get to it: 1:00 - "The Basics" These contain what's known as Hydrogenated Oils (usually hydrogenated SOYBEAN oils). You see, soy is extremely phytoestrogenic and causes low testosterone and high estrogen levels. This causes burning fat to become much more difficult. The hydrogenation process causes artificial hydrogen to be added to a fat molecule, resulting in a trans fat - a poison that doesn't exist naturally, with the exception of a little amount in cow's milk. The problem with trans fats is that compared to standard regular fat (cis) that takes 18 days to break down in half, trans fat takes around 51 days to breakdown in half... That's nearly 3 times as long! Trans fats not only end up clogging your arteries but slows down other enzymatic processes. 3:24 - "The Naturals" Yes, they don't contain hydrogenated oils like the regular peanut butter, however, they still contain a bunch of sugar and palm oil. When palm oil is added to a refining process, it creates glycidyl fatty acid esters that are both genotoxic (DNA-altering) and carcinogenic (Cancer-causing). These "natural" peanut butter options still contain monoglycerides - fatty acid molecules bound to a glycerin - and diglycerides - two fatty acid molecules bound to a glycerin. This makes it dangerously close to being a triglyceride and trans fat, and we don't want that. 5:13 - "The Real PB's" True peanut butter normally only contains peanuts and salt. A rule of thumb to life by when getting peanut butter is to simply look for those 2 ingredients and NOTHING else - you just don't need it. You are trying to get the benefits from the oils in the peanuts - the Omega 3 & 6 - so don't muddy the waters with the extras that are clearly going to hold you back from burning fat and getting those six pack abs. Going organic is the way to go - they are free of organophosphates and carbamates, thus reducing the likelihood of petrochemical (causes birth defects and degenerative disease) exposure. 5:54 - Alternatives To Peanut Butter Get some almond butter. Make sure to look for smooth almond butter when getting it. Like I said, it's not worth saving the extra couple bucks on the cheaper basic or "natural" peanut butter at the grocery store - less is more. When adenosine is blocked the amount of other neurotransmitters like norepinephrine and dopamine actually increases, leading to enhanced firing of neurons. 5:08 - Coffee increases the number of receptors for Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). 5:50 - Despite increasing receptors, caffine also inhibits the release of GABA, which contributes to the feeling of alertness. 5:56 - What NOT to drink during a fast - 5:56 6:18 - Creamers and sugars will break your fast, so no creamers, sugar, or sweeteners in your coffee. 6:23 - BCAA's or branched-chain amino acid mixes will break a fast. 6:45 - Avoid sugar alcohols - e.g. diet sodas containing truvia It's essential that you stick within these rules to keep in a fasted state to truely get all the benefits from I.F. Since you've probably already realized that ice cream is one of them let's start with ice cream first. First of all ice cream is super high in sugar which can lead to weight gain, increased levels of blood triglycerides and diabetes. When you have a high spike in blood sugar which ice cream will definitely cause you to have your body reacts by releasing a lot of insulin. When insulin levels are high in your body it's literally impossible for you to burn fat and it's very easy for you to gain weight. Couple this with the fact that most ice creams will have at least 300 calories in just one cup and you'll easily see how ice cream is one of the worst foods to eat when trying to burn fat. Another food thats terrible for you if you want to see your abs and its also just as bad for your health...and that food is popcorn. Almost all microwave popcorn varieties come in a bag that is lined with perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). This chemical is the same toxic stuff found in teflon pots and pans. And This chemical when heated has been linked to infertility, cancer and other diseases in lab animals. There are also gmos, artificial flavors, msg, and I don't know if you guys know this but regular corn farming requires a lot of pesticides. On top of all of that trans fats are still used by most popcorn brands even though trans fats have pretty much disappeared everywhere else since they're so strongly linked to heart attacks. And finally last but not least certain studies are starting to show that it might be a bad idea to Nuke any of your food not just microwavable popcorn. So yeah popcorn maybe the single worst food you can have for fat loss and for your health. Moving on.. we have Oreos and in general any type of cookies that you buy in a package like Chips Ahoy, keebler fudge cookies I think they're called. Now why are these so bad? Well all of the same things that applied to ice cream apply here as well. You will get an insulin Spike and it'll be impossible to burn fat until your insulin levels go back down. But something that makes this such a dangerous food to eat if you're trying to burn fat is the enormous calorie content. In just 6 Oreos we're looking at 270 calories and I bet that almost nobody eats just 6 Oreos. Oreos are addicting as soon as you eat one you know you're going to eat 20. If you eat a row which is typically how much people eat you're looking at 675 calories. Good luck burning that off. Oreos are super high in sugar fat and calories. That is definitely something you want to avoid while cutting body fat. Next we have soft drinks. Let me show you guys something this right here is peach flavored Snapple. And in one cup there are 200 calories and close to 48 grams of sugar or 12 teaspoons. You only really should be allowed a maximum of 6 to 9 teaspoons of sugar a day. You already went over with just one of these drinks. Now it's not only Snapple and I know that you guys already know that Pepsi coca cola Mountain Dew Hawaiian Punch brisk sprite and all that other canned soda.... I already know that you know that that's bad for you.... especially when you're trying to burn fat. But you might have not known that the orange juice and apple juice and in fact most juices that you see at the store are absolutely horrible for you. Apple juice has 24 grams of sugar in a cup. Granted that's half the amount that you're going to get from a cup of Snapple but thats still going to cause a major halt for your fat loss. Up next we have chips. Luckily lately there have been some Brands releasing chips that are actually not that bad for you. Unfortunately most of them still are pretty bad for you. Almost all chips are super high in salt, sugar, and fat. Also because they're cooked at such high temperatures it could cause the formation of carcinogens. Don't be fooled by the kettle cooked chips and the "natural"chips because .....it's the same shit.

I mean, you've seen a lot of my content, you might know some of my story, you might not. You might just think that I'm some guy on the internet that preaches a bunch of health advice, and talks about keto, and talks about fasting. Some of you that have been with me from inception of this channel know my story. You guys know my background, but I also recognize that this channel's growing fast, and a lot of people that joined this channel later on might not know what I've been through. They might not know that I weighed 280 pounds at one point. They might not know that I have a healthcare admin background. That might not know why I got into this in the first place. You see before I ever had any aspirations of doing anything on YouTube, or do anything on the internet really, I was somewhat of a regular guy. I mean, I was an athlete in high school. I was an athlete in school in general. I played rugby. I ran cross-country. I was a pretty in-shape person. You see, once I got out of school, life sort of took over, career, finance, everything like that. It all just became much more important than staying in shape. I had different priorities. See, I actually met my wife in high school. I've been with my wife for a very long time. Been with her since she was 14-years-old, and I was 16-years-old. Being with my wife for such a long period of time, I'm able to reflect back and recognize on so many different changes that I've made. My focus after getting out of school, after playing sports, was really on providing for my family, and doing the best that I could to achieve success in my career, achieve success for my family, a whole different idea of success. It had nothing to do with nutrition. I got into the world of healthcare. A long story short, I was an executive recruiter, and a physician recruiter for a period different. Then I went into the lab services industry. I managed a lot of physicians in the world of ancillary lab services, meaning what I did is I provided lab services to physicians. What I did, is I was able to provide physicians with the ability to do like salivary cortisol testing, way back before it was popular. I was able to provide other what are called ancillary lab services to concierge physicians. If you actually know my story, and you know my history, you know my medical background, then you know that that's not the case. I talk about this stuff because I know it works. I talk this stuff because I know it helps people. Man, and when I go to the airport, or when I go to events, and I go on the street, and I go to a coffee shops, and people approach me, and tell me that they've lost 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100, 200, 300 pounds, utilizing the advice that I put there on the internet, that's what makes doing what I do worthwhile. To be able to reach a million subscribers is just this first milestone to know that I'm able to make an impact utilizing what I learned through my own experience. You might be wondering, "Does Thomas follow a ketogenic diet today? Does Thomas follow an intermittent fasting protocol today?" Well guess what? I do, and I don't, because I utilize what works for me at a given point in time. Sometimes I'm keto, sometimes I'm not, why? Because I'm fat-adapted. I'm keto-adapted now. I don't always have to be on a ketogenic diet, because I know that my mitochondria, my body is working in a fat-adapted state. Yes, all the different health gurus out there, the fitness gurus are going to come out there, and they're going to hate on that, and they're going to say, "There's no such thing as fat-adaptation, and it's calories in, calories out," okay, who cares? I know how my body is working now. I'm sharing that with you guys. I encourage every single person here that is changing their life, or has made any kind of change in their physical appearance, to look at it the same way. That is just a small chunk of your life. What you are living in right now, what you are consuming right now, the choice that you make this very second is what defines who you are this very second. It also reduces glycemic and insulin responses to foods such as a starchy meal by delaying gastric emptying. (1) Polyphenols: Apple cider Vinegar also contains polyphenols – Polyphenols act as a prebiotic-type substance, meaning that they increase the amount of healthy bacteria in the gut, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria strains. They also inhibit growth of potentially pathogenic bacteria. Catechin – a polyphenol – inhibits the proliferation of Clostridium histolyticum, a pathogenic bacteria (2) Cream of Tartar: Cream of tartar, also called potassium hydrogen tartrate, is an acidic natural byproduct of winemaking. Fasting can result in the loss of minerals, specifically potassium – low levels of potassium can result in high blood pressure problems. One teaspoon of cream of tartar = 495 mg of potassium. Potassium tends to decrease during longer period of fasting the fastest, especially if you’re working out. Cream of tartar provides a fairly bioavailable form of potassium rather than taking a potassium supplement. Hypokalemia - low potassium: Muscle weakness, fatigue and cramping are all associated with decreases in potassium, so essentially, by adding some potassium in to the mix, you can make your fast easier. (3) Pink Himayalan Salt: Consuming sea salt ensures that you maintain sufficient sodium levels, and this helps balance your sodium-potassium ratios. Sodium and potassium are two electrolytes that work together to ensure that there is proper fluid balance in your body’s cells as well as your blood plasma and extracellular fluid. They work together to make sure that the cell gets the water that it needs to continue the process of ion exchange between sodium and potassium in the cell utilizing Na/K ATPase to create energy. This will help maintain energy during your fast. Lime Juice: Limes contain flavonoid antioxidants known as flavonol glycosides. These antioxidants have been found to help protect against deadly bacteria such as cholera. Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry saw that Liminoids, one of the components of limes induced levels of glutathione s - transferase which is what essentially helps bind to free radicals, aiding in the detoxification process. (4) Monk Fruit: The compounds that give it a sweet flavor (called mogrosides) are actually antioxidants. Mogrosides are be able to protect tissues in the body from the damage of free radicals. Monk fruit compounds actually exhibit beneficial anti-microbial properties that may help maintain proper bacterial balance.
