Effects of Vaping - The Vape Channel

06:22
Please watch: "Airlines & Vaping - The Vape Channel" ➨ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdcMyFF0YdE -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheVapeChannel Yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/vape-escapes-phoenix-2 Welcome to The Vape Channel! Today we will be talking about the effects of vaping. We would love to hear your thoughts and comments below. For more information on our store check out www.vapeescapes.com Hey everybody this is Joel from the Vape Channel. This week I wanted to talk to you about some misconceptions and some stuff you may have heard about the physical effects of vaping and how vaping as opposed to smoking effects your body physically and maybe possibly mentally. I know I'm crazy. For a lot of people quitting smoking is the hardest thing that they have ever done, for me it was the hardest thing that I have ever done. So I feel your pain. The good news is vaping and technology like I've said a million times before and you probably find old clips of it on the vape channel. Vaping has come a long way in a short period of time for the most part you can get nicotine in your e-liquid or no nicotine, but if you get nicotine in your liquid nicotine is going to cause your blood vessels to constrict a little bit. Now that sounds scary in theory right? There's your little screaming vampire noise or whatever right, but I've got a news flash for you. Caffeine does the same thing, do you like soda? Chances are that’s doing the same thing as nicotine. Let's talk about how vaping can help you in my awesome art class. These are lungs, they are not real lungs but these are lungs that I made. A smoker, when you have been smoking for x amount of time, a long period of time, your lungs get all the carcingigens and the toxins and the cancer causing components in there. Now when you start vaping over time what happens is things start to disappear. You can hear it on the microphone. Squeaky, squeaky squeaky. For the sake of time lets speed this up. OK, now if you compare this picture to what I just had to when I started off you can see that there are little white spots. What happens is little tiny spots will start to clear up, then you will be able to breathe easier. Ya, its pretty sweet. You have a higher nicotine level and you vape over time more and more spots will clear up until these lungs are white. We all know someone who vapes , its helped changed their life and they don't smoke. Can I get a show of hands of anyone out there who can say the same? I read a lot of misinformation and a lot of horrid information on line about juice. Is there any ill effects of electronic cigarettes and the juice that is in them. I would say the only worry that I would eve had if I was trying to quit smoking have an allergy to properline glycal. Now if you have seen our vides before then you know that electronic cigarette liquid has properline glycal, vegetable glycerin, pharmaceutical grade nicotine and artificial flavoring. Now I know some people who may have an allergy to properline glycal incase you forgot it’s been in inhalers since 1952, its in a lot of food grade products, its in meal water. So it’s in a lot stuff that we use everyday. It’s in toothpaste, its in lube. Yes, that lube! What you can do is get an e liquid that is all vegetable glycerin. You can always consult with your physician, I’m no physician but if you do have an allergy to that you can get liquid that is a 100% liquid glycerin. There are only two kinds of people who I know that really like to use a high vegetable glycerin. Vegetable glycerin as you know give you thicker clouds. People that have an allergy or people that like to re-build. Re-building in case you forgot. Ready to zoom in? You build your own coils, you put your own cotton in there and then you wick on it. Where would I get such a juice like that if I wanted to rebuild coils that had I high vegetable glycerin and low nicotine for my coils? I can think of someplace. Vape Escapes, the place that I work at here in Phoenix Arizona, just released their new black label line of juice. WE got a strawberry custard flavor, we got a bubble gum flavor, we’ve got a lime martini flavor, we got a blueberry muffin flavor and we’ve got green apple blueberry flavor. All these come in high vegetable glycerin that gives you thicker clouds and if you have an allergy to properline glycal we have them in zero and 6 nicotine. Ding! What else, what else comes of this? When we start vaping and our lungs start to heal, you'll notice you get a little more energy. It's easier for you to walk down the street, to go play with your kids, to go walk around the mall to go shopping. WE touched on some of the most important stuff but some of the other stuff is really obvious and you may not think about it everyday. Your fingernails won’t be turning yellow anymore. Your teeth won't turn yellow. You won't smell like an ashtray. You can actually vape indoors in a lot of places.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

42:01
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), also known as chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD), and chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD), among others, is a type of obstructive lung disease characterized by chronically poor airflow. It typically worsens over time. The main symptoms include shortness of breath, cough, and sputum production. Most people with chronic bronchitis have COPD. Tobacco smoking is the most common cause of COPD, with a number of other factors such as air pollution and genetics playing a smaller role. In the developing world, one of the common sources of air pollution is from poorly vented cooking and heating fires. Long-term exposure to these irritants causes an inflammatory response in the lungs resulting in narrowing of the small airways and breakdown of lung tissue known as emphysema. The diagnosis is based on poor airflow as measured by lung function tests. In contrast to asthma, the airflow reduction does not improve significantly with the administration of medication. Blood in Mucus

01:17:45
Blood in mucus, over taxed sweat glands, bright orange urine and black stool are the end results of a long production line of bodily mechanisms gone afoul. However they can also give indications and early warnings of inflammation, infection and tissue damage. Some people have various reasons to avoid observing and examining these "end-products". It is time to change a behavior pattern and become proactive in your own health. http://YHTV.us

Bucket challenge with discarded sputum samples

The ice bucket challenge has successfully raised a lot of money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. I have been losing my mother to a debilitative condition since she was in her 60s, so I am very sympathetic to the suffering caused by conditions such as Lou Gehrig’s that can affect people and their families much earlier in life. It’s hard to love someone and be unable to stop the progress of their disease. But there are lots of conditions in the world that are preventable and lots of situations where we can take action. This footage was filmed in a TB laboratory in Vietnam. In affluent countries, tuberculosis is thankfully not as common as motor neuron disease. The World Health Organisation estimates that only 5% of TB cases and deaths occur in affluent countries. 95% of the 1.8 million people killed by tuberculosis each year come from developing countries. My colleagues in this laboratory test over 80 people for TB every day. We’re here as part of a TB screening program coordinated by the Woolcock Institute for the next four years. We hope to screen around 120,000 people by the time we’re finished. But, we are testing more people than we had expected to and the program is fast running short of funds. Our staff travel door to door and ask people with certain symptoms to cough and produce sputum from their chest, which they spit into sputum containers. These containers get delivered to the laboratory where our technicians add a buffer, vortex the sample, place it in this cartridge, and put it in a PCR machine. Two hours later, we know whether or not someone has TB. These cartridges cost $10 a piece, and at the current rate of testing, we’re over a million dollars short for our four year project. These cartridges can be used only one time. So, to raise awareness for our program, a colleague dumped a bucket of discarded sputum containers over my head -- these contained sputum samples that had already been tested for TB. I’m not going to nominate anyone. Dumping biological waste no your head is stupid. If you’re interested in donating to our project, please contact the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research (woolcock.org.au). Now I’m not saying you have to donate. If you want to make the world a better place, you can reach out to someone you know and do a caring deed. Help a single parent, an elderly person, or spend more time supporting someone you know who cares for other people. Charity begins at home.

Tropical Diseases: Emerging Concerns

01:04:29
In today's climate, tropical diseases are a hot topic. Statistics are indicating an increasing prevalence of vector-borne and other diseases characteristic of the tropics, together with the re-emergence of certain communicable tropical diseases some of which are proving resistant to conventional drug treatments. The prevalence of tropical diseases has increased in Australia in the past ten to twenty years, due partly to an increase in international travel. The future impact of climate change is another consideration. With the recent flood disasters, they have also become a more immediate threat to public health. All health professionals need to be alert to the increasing incidence and changing spread of tropical diseases, as well as their relevance to special population groups, such as Indigenous Australians and refugees. This program looks at three main areas of concern: diseases endemic to tropical Australia; diseases arriving into Australia from overseas; and emerging threats from tropical countries to the north of Australia, such as multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Vaping cough (why am I coughing?)

04:25
Ill tell you why your coughing when you first start vaping, its nothing to be concerned about its normal. Lung Clearing Completely switching to electronic cigarettes will be beneficial to your lungs. However, you must expect that at first, the lungs would need to purge out the tar, contaminates and mucus that have accumulated due to smoking. This could take a month or even longer. Again, you might need to drink more water to assist in the process.

Transudate vs exudate | Respiratory system diseases | NCLEX-RN | Khan Academy

In a pleural effusion, different fluids can enter the pleural cavity. Transudate is fluid pushed through the capillary due to high pressure within the capillary. Exudate is fluid that leaks around the cells of the capillaries caused by inflammation. In the U.S. in the mid-20th century, the impact of TB was real and devastating. In this 1944 film, farmer Peter Borik has tuberculosis but refuses to be treated in a sanatorium. He remains bedridden at home, where no precautions are taken against the spread of infection. Both his daughters contract TB, and one dies. Botanically this exotic fruit belongs to the family of Passifloraceae, of the genus Passiflora. Scientific name: Passiflora edulis. Passions are native to subtropical wild regions of South America probably originated in Paraguay. The plant is an avid climber (vine) which grows on anything it can grab through tendrils. The passiflora plant requires well-drained fertile soil and good moisture to flourish. It grows quickly and reaches about 15-20 feet per annum once established. Its average life span is about 5-7 years. Over five hundred cultivate types exist; however, two main type purple and yellow passion fruits are widely cultivated. During each season, the vine bears greenish-white fragrant flowers. The fruit features round to oval shape, 4 to 8 centimeters in diameter, have a tough shell mangosteen-like rind. Average weight is about 35-50 g. Inside, the fruit consists of membranous sacs containing light orange-colored, pulpy juice with numerous small, hard, dark-brown or black, pitted seeds. Yellow passions are generally larger than the purple varieties, but the pulp of the purple fruit is less acid, richer in aroma and flavor, and has a higher proportion of juicy pulp. Health benefits of passion fruit Delicious, passion fruit is rich source of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and fiber. 100 g fruit contains about 97 calories. The fruit is a very good source of dietary fiber. 100 g fruit pulp contains 10.4 g or 27% of fiber. Good fiber in the diet helps remove cholesterol from the body. In addition dietary insoluble fiber by acting as a bulk laxative helps protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time to toxic substances in the colon as well as binding to cancer-causing chemicals in the colon. Passion fruit is good in vitamin C, providing about 30 mg per 100 g. Vitamin-C (ascorbic acid) is a powerful water soluble anti-oxidant. Consumption of fruits rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against flu-like infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals. The fruit contains very good levels of vitamin-A (provides about 1274 IU per 100 g), and flavonoid antioxidants such as β-carotene and cryptoxanthin-β. Current research studies suggest that these compounds have antioxidant properties, and along with vitamin A are essential for good eye-sight. Vitamin A is also required maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin. Consumption of natural fruits rich in vitamin-A, and flavonoids helps to protect from lung and oral cavity cancers. Fresh granadilla is very rich in potassium. 100 g fruit pulp has about 348 mg of potassium. Potassium is an important component of cells and body fluids, and helps regulate heart rate and blood pressure. Furthermore, granadilla is a very good source of minerals. Iron, copper, magnesium and phosphorus are present in adequate amounts in the fruit. election and storage Passion fruits are available year around in the super-markets in the United States. In other parts of the world, their availability is seasonal and varies. In New Zealand, the passion fruit season begins from January and peaks by April. In the stores, buy fruits that are well ripe, plump and heavy for their size. Fruits with wrinkle surface are actually more flavorful and rich in sugar. Avoid overtly mature fruits. Minor cuts and spots are common on the skin. Such small abrasions on the fruit surface usually do not influence the quality of the fruit. Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Disorder on Schenectady Today

09:15
What is Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Disorder? Guests: Dennis A. Gort, MD (Pulmonary & Critical Care) and Richard Lovrich Dr. Dennis Gort is a pulmonologist in Albany, New York and is affiliated with St. Peter's Hospital. He received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and has been in practice for 42 years. He is one of 13 doctors at St. Peter’s who specialize in Pulmonary Disease. Dr. Gort’s office is located at 5 Palisades Dr. Suite 100, Albany, NY 12205. Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1) is a genetic (inherited) condition – it is passed from parents to their children through their genes. Alpha-1 may result in serious lung disease in adults and/or liver disease at any age. For each trait a person inherits, there are usually two genes; one gene comes from each parent. People with Alpha-1 have received two abnormal alpha-1 antitrypsin genes. One of these abnormal genes came from their mother and one from their father. Symptoms related to the lung: Shortness of breath; Wheezing; Chronic bronchitis, which is cough and sputum (phlegm) production that lasts for a long time; Recurring chest colds; Less exercise tolerance; Asthma that can’t be completely reversed with aggressive medical treatment; Year-round allergies and Bronchiectasis. Symptoms related to the liver: Unexplained liver disease or elevated liver enzymes; Eyes and skin turning yellow (jaundice); Swelling of the abdomen (ascites) or legs and vomiting blood (from enlarged veins in the esophagus or stomach). Sulfur mustard

24:31
The sulfur mustards, or sulphur mustards, commonly known as mustard gas, are a class of related cytotoxic and vesicant chemical warfare agents with the ability to form large blisters on the exposed skin and in the lungs. Pure sulfur mustards are colorless, viscous liquids at room temperature. When used in impure form, such as warfare agents, they are usually yellow-brown in color and have an odor resembling mustard plants, garlic, or horseradish, hence the name. Mustard gas was originally assigned the name LOST, after the scientists Wilhelm Lommel and Wilhelm Steinkopf, who developed a method for the large-scale production of mustard gas for the Imperial German Army in 1916. Mustard agents are regulated under the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Three classes of chemicals are monitored under this Convention, with sulfur and nitrogen mustard grouped in Schedule 1, as substances with no use other than in chemical warfare. Mustard agents could be deployed on the battlefield by means of artillery shells, aerial bombs, rockets, or by spraying from warplanes. This video is targeted to blind users. Incense

34:46
Incense is aromatic biotic material which releases fragrant smoke when burned. The term refers to the material itself, rather than to the aroma that it produces. Incense is used for a variety of purposes, including the ceremonies of all the main religions, to overcome bad smells, repel insects, spirituality, aromatherapy, meditation, and for simple pleasure. Incense is composed of aromatic plant materials, often combined with essential oils. The forms taken by incense differ with the underlying culture, and have changed with advances in technology and increasing diversity in the reasons for burning it. Incense can generally be separated into two main types: "indirect-burning" and "direct-burning". Indirect-burning incense (or "non-combustible incense") is not capable of burning on its own, and requires a separate heat source. Direct-burning incense (or "combustible incense") is lit directly by a flame and then fanned or blown out, leaving a glowing ember that smoulders and releases fragrance. Direct-burning incense is either a paste formed around a bamboo stick, or a paste that is extruded into a stick or cone shape. This video is targeted to blind users. Brass cleaner and polisher.

02:04
How to clean more brass... For more info and ordering you can contact me at grandmaskitchen1@gmail.com .When we buy commercial cleaning products, we expect them to do one thing: clean! We use a wide array of scents, soaps, detergents, bleaching agents, softeners, scourers, polishes, and specialized cleaners for bathrooms, glass, drains, and ovens to keep our homes sparkling and sweet-smelling. But we have to realize that everything we pour down the drain or flush down the toilet will end up in our municipality's sewage treatment system and eventually in our rivers and the ocean. Of course, some components are biodegradable. But other compounds are not, and can do massive damage to our environment. In our home, there are toxic chemicals everywhere. Each room has its load of toxic cleaning products. Here are the top 5 toxic household products in our kitchen we should consider replacing by an environmentally-friendly version. Window or Glass Cleaners: Many glass cleaners contain ammonia, which produces fumes that are highly irritating to eyes, nose, throat and lungs, and should not be used by people with asthma, lung or heart problems. Even worse, combining products that contain chlorine and ammonia can react with each other to form lung-damaging and potentially lethal toxic gases called chloramine. Some window cleaners also contain isopropanol that can irritate mucous membranes in the nose, mouth, eyes and ears. If swallowes, isopropanol can cause drowsiness, unconsciousness and death. Antibacterial Cleaner: Antibacterial cleaners are commonly used in the kitchen. We use them to clean things that come in contact with food (cutting boards, counter tops, etc). Disinfecting what comes in contact with our food help prevent contamination by harmful. However, antibacterial cleaners can cause more harm than good. It may contain ammonia, detergent, lye, cresol and phenol. Those substance are corrosive to tissue, can irritate eyes, and lining of nose, mouth and throat, damage liver, kidneys, lungs, pancreas and spleen, can cause central nervous system depression, severely affect circulatory system, and are suspected to cause cancer. Dishwashing Detergent: They contain cleaning agents with "cationic", "anionic", or "non-ionic" in their names. These products may irritate skin or make people more sensitive to other chemicals. The main ingredient usually used in these detergents is phosphate. Phosphates are a famous water pollutant. When phosphates are discharged in municipal waste water, they act as a fertilizer, causing overgrowth of algae. Too much aquatic plant life eventually reduces the water's oxygen supply, causing the death of fish and other organisms. Although many U.S. states have outlawed phosphates from laundry detergents and some other cleaners, they are still used in automatic dishwasher detergents. All-purpose cleaner: All-purpose cleaners may use many different kinds of ingredients, such as detergents, grease-cutting agents, solvents, and disinfectants. All-purpose cleaners can contain hazardous chemicals such as ammonia (see "Window of Glass Cleaners" section above), Ethelyne Glycol Monobuytl Acetate, Sodium Hypochlorite, Trisodium Phosphate. Depending upon the ingredients used, all-purpose cleaners can irritate the skin, eyes, nose, and throat. They are highly poisonous if swallowed and can damage heart, kidneys and brain. Oven Cleaners: Oven cleaners are used to help break up the baked on food stuck to the inside of the oven. The basic ingredient of oven cleaners is lye (either sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide). Lye is extremely corrosive, and can burn your skin and eyes. It is usually fatal if swallowed. Of course, eliminating all cleaners from our home is a non-sense, however, taking the time to read the labels to find out what is in them, possibly opting for phosphate free versions and avoid the use of oven cleaners with lye, are easy little steps you can take to reduce your family's exposure to toxic household products.
