Vaping cough (why am I coughing?)
Ill tell you why your coughing when you first start vaping, its nothing to be concerned about its normal. Lung Clearing Completely switching to electronic cigarettes will be beneficial to your lungs. However, you must expect that at first, the lungs would need to purge out the tar, contaminates and mucus that have accumulated due to smoking. This could take a month or even longer. Again, you might need to drink more water to assist in the process.

Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Disorder on Schenectady Today
What is Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Disorder? Guests: Dennis A. Gort, MD (Pulmonary & Critical Care) and Richard Lovrich Dr. Dennis Gort is a pulmonologist in Albany, New York and is affiliated with St. Peter's Hospital. He received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and has been in practice for 42 years. He is one of 13 doctors at St. Peter’s who specialize in Pulmonary Disease. Dr. Gort’s office is located at 5 Palisades Dr. Suite 100, Albany, NY 12205. Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1) is a genetic (inherited) condition – it is passed from parents to their children through their genes. Alpha-1 may result in serious lung disease in adults and/or liver disease at any age. For each trait a person inherits, there are usually two genes; one gene comes from each parent. People with Alpha-1 have received two abnormal alpha-1 antitrypsin genes. One of these abnormal genes came from their mother and one from their father. Symptoms related to the lung: Shortness of breath; Wheezing; Chronic bronchitis, which is cough and sputum (phlegm) production that lasts for a long time; Recurring chest colds; Less exercise tolerance; Asthma that can’t be completely reversed with aggressive medical treatment; Year-round allergies and Bronchiectasis. Symptoms related to the liver: Unexplained liver disease or elevated liver enzymes; Eyes and skin turning yellow (jaundice); Swelling of the abdomen (ascites) or legs and vomiting blood (from enlarged veins in the esophagus or stomach). Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), also known as chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD), and chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD), among others, is a type of obstructive lung disease characterized by chronically poor airflow. It typically worsens over time. The main symptoms include shortness of breath, cough, and sputum production. Most people with chronic bronchitis have COPD. Tobacco smoking is the most common cause of COPD, with a number of other factors such as air pollution and genetics playing a smaller role. In the developing world, one of the common sources of air pollution is from poorly vented cooking and heating fires. Long-term exposure to these irritants causes an inflammatory response in the lungs resulting in narrowing of the small airways and breakdown of lung tissue known as emphysema. The diagnosis is based on poor airflow as measured by lung function tests. In contrast to asthma, the airflow reduction does not improve significantly with the administration of medication. Kids' Health - Asthma
Asthma is characterized by recurrent episodes of wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. Sputum may be produced from the lung by coughing but is often hard to bring up. During recovery from an attack, it may appear pus-like due to high levels of white blood cells called eosinophils. Symptoms are usually worse at night and in the early morning or in response to exercise or cold air. Some people with asthma rarely experience symptoms, usually in response to triggers, whereas others may have marked and persistent symptoms.

Incense is aromatic biotic material which releases fragrant smoke when burned. The term refers to the material itself, rather than to the aroma that it produces. Incense is used for a variety of purposes, including the ceremonies of all the main religions, to overcome bad smells, repel insects, spirituality, aromatherapy, meditation, and for simple pleasure. Incense is composed of aromatic plant materials, often combined with essential oils. The forms taken by incense differ with the underlying culture, and have changed with advances in technology and increasing diversity in the reasons for burning it. Incense can generally be separated into two main types: "indirect-burning" and "direct-burning". Indirect-burning incense (or "non-combustible incense") is not capable of burning on its own, and requires a separate heat source. Direct-burning incense (or "combustible incense") is lit directly by a flame and then fanned or blown out, leaving a glowing ember that smoulders and releases fragrance. Direct-burning incense is either a paste formed around a bamboo stick, or a paste that is extruded into a stick or cone shape. This video is targeted to blind users. Sulfur mustard
The sulfur mustards, or sulphur mustards, commonly known as mustard gas, are a class of related cytotoxic and vesicant chemical warfare agents with the ability to form large blisters on the exposed skin and in the lungs. Pure sulfur mustards are colorless, viscous liquids at room temperature. When used in impure form, such as warfare agents, they are usually yellow-brown in color and have an odor resembling mustard plants, garlic, or horseradish, hence the name. Mustard gas was originally assigned the name LOST, after the scientists Wilhelm Lommel and Wilhelm Steinkopf, who developed a method for the large-scale production of mustard gas for the Imperial German Army in 1916. Mustard agents are regulated under the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Three classes of chemicals are monitored under this Convention, with sulfur and nitrogen mustard grouped in Schedule 1, as substances with no use other than in chemical warfare. Mustard agents could be deployed on the battlefield by means of artillery shells, aerial bombs, rockets, or by spraying from warplanes. This video is targeted to blind users. Tropical Diseases: Emerging Concerns
In today's climate, tropical diseases are a hot topic. Statistics are indicating an increasing prevalence of vector-borne and other diseases characteristic of the tropics, together with the re-emergence of certain communicable tropical diseases some of which are proving resistant to conventional drug treatments. The prevalence of tropical diseases has increased in Australia in the past ten to twenty years, due partly to an increase in international travel. The future impact of climate change is another consideration. With the recent flood disasters, they have also become a more immediate threat to public health. All health professionals need to be alert to the increasing incidence and changing spread of tropical diseases, as well as their relevance to special population groups, such as Indigenous Australians and refugees. This program looks at three main areas of concern: diseases endemic to tropical Australia; diseases arriving into Australia from overseas; and emerging threats from tropical countries to the north of Australia, such as multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Brass cleaner and polisher.
How to clean more brass... For more info and ordering you can contact me at grandmaskitchen1@gmail.com .When we buy commercial cleaning products, we expect them to do one thing: clean! We use a wide array of scents, soaps, detergents, bleaching agents, softeners, scourers, polishes, and specialized cleaners for bathrooms, glass, drains, and ovens to keep our homes sparkling and sweet-smelling. But we have to realize that everything we pour down the drain or flush down the toilet will end up in our municipality's sewage treatment system and eventually in our rivers and the ocean. Of course, some components are biodegradable. But other compounds are not, and can do massive damage to our environment. In our home, there are toxic chemicals everywhere. Each room has its load of toxic cleaning products. Here are the top 5 toxic household products in our kitchen we should consider replacing by an environmentally-friendly version. Window or Glass Cleaners: Many glass cleaners contain ammonia, which produces fumes that are highly irritating to eyes, nose, throat and lungs, and should not be used by people with asthma, lung or heart problems. Even worse, combining products that contain chlorine and ammonia can react with each other to form lung-damaging and potentially lethal toxic gases called chloramine. Some window cleaners also contain isopropanol that can irritate mucous membranes in the nose, mouth, eyes and ears. If swallowes, isopropanol can cause drowsiness, unconsciousness and death. Antibacterial Cleaner: Antibacterial cleaners are commonly used in the kitchen. We use them to clean things that come in contact with food (cutting boards, counter tops, etc). Disinfecting what comes in contact with our food help prevent contamination by harmful. However, antibacterial cleaners can cause more harm than good. It may contain ammonia, detergent, lye, cresol and phenol. Those substance are corrosive to tissue, can irritate eyes, and lining of nose, mouth and throat, damage liver, kidneys, lungs, pancreas and spleen, can cause central nervous system depression, severely affect circulatory system, and are suspected to cause cancer. Dishwashing Detergent: They contain cleaning agents with "cationic", "anionic", or "non-ionic" in their names. These products may irritate skin or make people more sensitive to other chemicals. The main ingredient usually used in these detergents is phosphate. Phosphates are a famous water pollutant. When phosphates are discharged in municipal waste water, they act as a fertilizer, causing overgrowth of algae. Too much aquatic plant life eventually reduces the water's oxygen supply, causing the death of fish and other organisms. Although many U.S. states have outlawed phosphates from laundry detergents and some other cleaners, they are still used in automatic dishwasher detergents. All-purpose cleaner: All-purpose cleaners may use many different kinds of ingredients, such as detergents, grease-cutting agents, solvents, and disinfectants. All-purpose cleaners can contain hazardous chemicals such as ammonia (see "Window of Glass Cleaners" section above), Ethelyne Glycol Monobuytl Acetate, Sodium Hypochlorite, Trisodium Phosphate. Depending upon the ingredients used, all-purpose cleaners can irritate the skin, eyes, nose, and throat. They are highly poisonous if swallowed and can damage heart, kidneys and brain. Oven Cleaners: Oven cleaners are used to help break up the baked on food stuck to the inside of the oven. The basic ingredient of oven cleaners is lye (either sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide). Lye is extremely corrosive, and can burn your skin and eyes. It is usually fatal if swallowed. Of course, eliminating all cleaners from our home is a non-sense, however, taking the time to read the labels to find out what is in them, possibly opting for phosphate free versions and avoid the use of oven cleaners with lye, are easy little steps you can take to reduce your family's exposure to toxic household products.
